im not happ with gmail for having to CHARGE me for using the app.. Ive used GMAIL EVER SINCE IVE owned up to 11 computers FREE OF CHARGE,,,And even have it on my iphone AND my ipad,, unfotunately i cant find out HOW to DELETE this version...I Would appreciate it if you can send a link to delete or unsubscribe from this payed version! thank you very kindly...a disgrunteled customer.
Bought a new Mac and this icon (red letter on white background) was included in the apps, with a name like "Gmail for Mac" (or similar - I don't recall exactly and now it's gone). Paid $9.99 for a forever license, thinking this was a Google product. NOWHERE did it say this is iMail Pro, which it is. Moreover, it loads an icon in the menu bar, which I click to open. The user interface is about 1/4 of my desktop screen with no apparent way to make it larger or even move it to the center of the screen. Finally, when I clicked CONTACT SUPPORT and THREE TIMES completed their form, only to have an error message appear, "Form not submitted, please call us (in Romania!) or email us. When I click on the Email Us, it was the same form I had just submitted. So "Contact Support" is a fraud. Don’t waste money on this app. There is an option to "Request Refund" but they won't let the form be submitted!
I tried to get this working. The default two-factor authentication with passkey did not work. It took me to a page that was blank. I tried other authentication means, and eventually I was able to see my gmail inbox. However, it seems I need to log in many times. However, when I tried to add other accounts, I was stuck in an infinite loop of logging in, and never got to the part where I can add other accounts. So this was a flop. I can't afford to spend more than an hour setting this up. So I give up.
In spite of the poor recent reviews, I decided to try the three day free trial. It requires you to sign up for a monthly subscription to start the trial. Fine, I did that, but anytime I started the app it brought up the same "You must purchase a license to use the app" screen. I tried restoring the license and it just sat there and spun for about 10 minutes before I gave up and canceled it. I canceled my subscription about 20 minutes after signing up because I cannot use the app. (Running macOS Ventura, version 13.2.1)
This has ocured sever times. After a few days of use, suddently it throws a login password error. One time after several day working and no chanages, cannot login due to password error. ( iMap). Then reload app and i then works again. This must get resolved.
The app requires you to pay $10 just to open it and see what it is. Then it requires access to your email accounts including all sensitive information within them. I don't trust the way this developer is doing business. I imagine they're making a lot of money charging customers up front without letting anyone actually see or experience what they're selling first. And because of this, I would not trust them with my sensitive information. I want a refund.
I've only just bought this app and have only used it for a few minutes so I can't really do a good job at rating it. However I can say that it was very easy to get started with and I am an old lady with no computer skills.
When I try to log in using a passkey for Google, all I get is a blank webpage from Google. I can log in with email address and password, but I had to turn off 2FA because it was too cumbersome and time consuming. It would be nice if you could insert the password from Safari or Chrome settings. Otherwise I love the app.
Can't figure out what value this product brings to Gmail
This app's only function is to reproduce the gmail site on your mac desktop in a smaller window. When you click on app support you go to the fokusek website where none of products listed happens to be "Mail Client for Gmail." No user manual is available; no documentation. When I try to contact the developer the link opens up the Brave browser which is not how I open gmail.
I'm an Remote Online Notary and I must have an email program I can rely on. Mail for Gmail puts a nice app on my desktop and my mail from clients comes through everytime during a remote online notary session. It's perfect!
I thought this was the "m" logo for "gmail by Google" with the blue, red, yellow and green "M". It's not and it requires money to use or there's only a limited trial. Took my email and password before the ap loaded onto my computer. Now the ap is nowhere to be found and I can only do a free trial or pay. Why would most people get a gmail account if they had to pay. Waste of time.
I wish I would've known that the interface to compose mail would be the same thing as if I opened Gmail in a Chrome browser. Also, it also suggests you to open it in Chrome which is odd. I feel like this was a complete waste of money and I should've just paid the extra to at least have Outlook.
I just bought it because we switched to entirely gmail and I wanted an app for it instead of using the web version. It keeps trying to open a google meet instance that doesn't exist. Very frustrating
I wish I would have read the reviews or tried the free trial. I bought this app thinking it would make getting to my email and then switching in between personal and work accounts easier... it DOESN'T. Nothing shows up in the "recent recieved emails" and I have to login in multiple times to just switch accounts.

I attempted to trial this app for free but instead accidentally signed up for the premium version. I immediately emailed to see if I could first do the trial before deciding to purchase. They never responded. I emailed again with no response. I do recognize my own error, but would expect better customer service.
Junk. Have 4 gmail accounts. It only took 2 of them. The other 2 keep telling me to "do a mandatory one time login to my Google Calendar Account because of security reasons" ... of course, which does nothing. I'm dumping it and chalking up the waste of 10 bucks to experience. I should have known better.
It is not worth it. I keep getting a pop up about a video chat not being able to open... "sorry we encountered a problem joining this video call" No one is trying to join a call. It makes you login every single time and it glitches way too much!
It advertizes quick and easy but does not deliver. I can log in through Chrome much faster. Each time I try to send or receive I am required to log in. I would like to know how to get my money back because it is not worth $.99 not to mention the $9.99 I paid for the lifetime license.
I am not impressed. I paid the for this as there was no free version. It was a waste of my money. When I want to see the whole email or write an email it takes you to the online verson of gmail. I can go there with out the help of an app. And half the time it never load. I really would like a refund.
I couldn't load my gmail onto my new Macbook because of error 400. Google can't fix it I guess although it looks like many people have the same problem. Wasted a couple of days trying to figue it out. The only remedy is payig $10 to a gmail app. They get you no matter what.
It shows that I am logged into my account but when I click on Open Mail it requires me to login again but I cannot authenticate via bluetooth or whatever and theres no other option to login, so basically its unusable
I am usually a Google fan. Right off the bat, expect to spend $10 ($9.99) to install the app. Afterwards, good luck on getting verified and being able to use it.. I am searching for a way to cancel the subscription. Stick with the free plug in for your browser. This is a real pain!
Like me, you're probably looking for an email client because you DO NOT want to manage email in the browser. This app just launches your browser to GMail. WOW. What's worse... this janky web wrapper doesn't even work well with multiple accounts.
"Reload mail" error all the time, closes out, opens safari with my gmail instead, cant get the money i paid for it back, have to sign in EVERYTIME i close the window, then check my phone to approve security alert. Dont bother.
It's not what I thought it was, there is no free trial, and when you try to request a refund from Apple, it doesn't provide a receipt. I wanted a full dekstop app, that hopefully combines all my google accounts, not a menu dropdown that opens my browser.
Great idea, but when you click on the mail icon it doesn't show the recently received emails. I've tried every setting and it still doesn't work. I have to sign in each time. The app needs work.
This app requires you to enter your Google password in a popup window, rather than directing you to your browser for OAuth. Seems like sketchy security practice.
Useless paid app. Dont even bother to try stay away and save your money. This app gives multiple errors all the time and asks for multiple log in while already in use. Again, just DO NOT get this useless app.
Paid the $10 as #1 on apple list and cannot access from initial login. I get a 400 error saying not online but I am online and internet worked when I downloaded the app. This feels very bait and switch. Very disappointing.
When I downloaded this app, the app store mentioned nothing about in app purchases. little did I know the first thing that would happen when I opened up the app, I was asked to pay for a subscription to that app. This is the biggest scam of an app ever!
I saw another review that said the user has trouble launching the program and took the risk anyways. The loading wheel just continues to spin. I have never once been able to use this. Don't waste your money!
so you have to sign in with all yr credentials everytime even oin your own computer, not to mention, it disapears from the top bar so very inconvenient, Its faster to travel international with a metal leg
This app appeared to be free. Imediatley I was forced to make a payment plan, which was inexpensvie and I assumed it was since I am on a macbook (for the first time), so I set up a small plan. Google has blocked this app and I am unable to even utilize it. Very upset about this.
I just purchased this and should've known better. Experienced multiple issues so i had to delete it and then reinstall. Now it won't recognize my purchase license. I feel robbed.
For $10 I got an installer that froze my Mac. It did not install the app, which is probably a good thing. I deleted the dmg, but I'm concerned that it might have left a virus or worm when I tried to install it. Would not recommend for Mac users.
