I like this app but gave it a low score because of the ridiculous limit on the amount of times I can log in per month to transfer money from my own savings to my own checking. That alone is making me want to switch to a new credit union.
I have personally worked with a Marine Federal Credit Union for some 12 years before moving from North Carolina. Recently because of circumstances I decided to close this account. The primary reason I’m closing this account with a Marine Federal Credit Union what is the fact that I was out of country and had to work with a foreign bank. These banks require bank to bank transfers of funds. They do not accept funds transfers from systems like a Marine Federal Credit Union. I have attempted at least six times to fill out a document requesting that this account be closed and have sent it back to Marine Federal Credit Union and I have gotten one excuse after another to even appoint where Marine Federal Credit Union employees have told me that they can’t read my signature on those return documents or they have not received them. The remaining $300 in my savings account I have tried to remove and place it in a bank they can work internationally with other banks and Marine Federal Credit Union employees in this department has succeeded having that $300 taken back out of that international bank and return it into a Marine Federal Credit Union. I feel this is an insult to my many years of working with this financial institution. That $300 in my savings account in Marine Federal Credit Union is not their money but mine!! Upon my return to the United States, I with out question will not do business with a Marine Federal Credit Union.
So I used this app for YEARS, but then all of a sudden, boom, the thing crashes on me. I can’t even log into it anymore. Tried downloading it after I deleted it, but that didn’t work.
I have been using this app for a while now and it has not let me down yet. Never glitches or fails to open, and every update has only made the app better. Topnotch app
I like that it has an app however I don’t like that sometimes it’s slow and doesn’t update my current balance right away, and sometimes even takes away a transaction to make it seem like that I have more money than I know I do. However I’m not sure if that’s the app or the bank it’s self.
I would never recommend MFCU because during this COVID-19 crisis they decided to hold our mobile deposit for 9 business days just “because they can”. They are a horrible bank to do this to people during a crisis when so many of us need our money. And the check we deposited was from a multi-million dollar company who had the funds available. MFCU should be ashamed!! I wish I could give them no stars!!

The app is so great but I just wish they had a physical branch here in Virginia Beach. We have Jarheads here too! That way I wouldn’t have to brush off all the seamen i come in contact with here in line here at Navy Fed.
Online banking comes up short I can’t stop payment with my debit card. I couldn’t call someone on a Sunday with a banking problem. The bank must think people don’t live or work or spend money on a Sunday. I have been with this bank for so long, maybe it time to look into a bank that I can call on a Sunday.
This app is not working for me . The only thing I can do is view my account balances . Nothing else. It just tells me that my access is denied . Was just on “live chat” to address these problems and waited for over 15 minutes while Joe looked at my account with no communication or resolution. Just kept telling me he’d be right with me . Bogus
I love the personalized service that I receive . I also love the professionalism that u see at the branches as well . Marine Federal is definitely up and coming
This is the most technically inept site I have ever used. You can’t get it to take passwords and it makes you verify multiple times and won’t take that password either..glad I don’t do much business with them
It would be nice if this app would catch up with the times and support FaceID for logins. Every other app I have, integrated it as soon as the iPhone X was released
Always have a hard time signing in. “ Unspecified host error” is what I get. Tried resetting password and when I use the temporary one sent, the app tells me it’s the wrong password.
This is a good tool so that you can see the money in your account and manage it appropriately. The weekends is a little tough because the exact amount in your account is not shown because all your transactions has not reconciled until Monday morning. So be mindful of your balance on Monday and what transactions you make over the weekend so you can have the available balance in your head.
The features in this app aren't bad but it is seriously lacking in a few key areas. For instance it should warn you before your password expires and you should be able to update your password from within the app. Having to change passwords on a regular basis is a good thing but when you suddenly and without warning can't access your account through the app it's rather annoying. And then you have to log into the actual website to update the password. Which wouldn't be so bad if the MFCU website wasn't one of the most unfriendly sites that I've ever had to use on mobile. In app check deposit would be nice as well. Not a bad app on the whole but there are much better banking apps in the market that MFCU could take some lessons from.
I loved the iPhone app, but the iPad version is even better! Thank you so much for developing such a user friendly and easy to use app! Now if we could do a "Deposit at Home" type feature, that would just be the icing on the cake! We are no longer stationed near a Marine Federal branch, so this feature would be invaluable! :)
This app deserves 0 stars but I could only rate it at 1. App locks up, claims that I don't have Internet access when my NFCU app works just fine or I have to log on through the old internet which requires me to be called to verify my phone each time. This app is basically worthless. You might as well just log on the Internet to gain access to your account. I thought deleting off my phone and then uploading again would resolve but to no avail. You would think that something that has Marine on it would work like a Marine "always faithful". The other people who rated this app as "love-love-love this app obviously work for MFCU.
As a member of MFCU I frequently check my accounts. This app is easy to use, and I especially like the quick and extremely easy transfer option. I have a credit account with MFCU and I transfer money from my checking to my credit payment within about five seconds. This app is so easy to use I'm going to refer my friends and family to MFCU.
We have never had an issue with bugs, or not been able to access our accounts. This app was a lifesaver in Hawaii and proving to be just as convenient here in Charleston. Keep up the good work!
I've been using the MFCU app since its original release and really was excited seeing that the touch ID option was finally available. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on my device (iPhone 6+ ios 8.3 and 8.4). Other than this minor issue that can hopefully be solved in the next update it's a great app!
Very user friendly. The one concern I have is that it should show the available balance ONLY, because that causes much less error when quickly checking balances.
Love the iPad app, have never had problems with it. I have had problems with the phone app though. So whenever I have to look at my account information I have to pull out my iPad, which can be cumbersome and inconspicuous at times. iPad app definatlynworth it though.
I love this app! Very easy to use. Just wish Marine Fed had the deposit check feature on their app like how alot of these other banks are starting to come out with this feature.
This app is only getting better with each update. It's very easy to navigate, clean design and very useful. I love that I can use Touch ID to log in. I highly recommend this app.
I would love the app if it did the only thing I needed it to do. It's very easy to navigate, however the camera in the "Deposit Check" feature has terrible image resolution and detection. It's taken me almost 45minutes to take a picture of the front and back of my check that was acceptable enough for the app to process my check. I'm a professional photographer. I'm also very disappointed in this app.
Able to make payments. Even add on those "Buy from here an earn this amount" ... Definitely works! Able to track money an all AND doesn't have a "Busy" Server, were u can't log on online nor App wise... Always up update wit the Servers. Love that ;) Trying to recommend Marine Federal to my peeps here in Arizona but they don't get it. Weird. Keep up the Good Work!! Heard Chase Bank is crap cuz of... Whatever!!! Love Marine Federal.
