You can use the app whenever you have time to search ! Unfortunately most of the time the search does not yield whatever you are searching for! But at least you have an easy tool to search.
MVC has made some improvements, but the page to pay maintenance fees is a bug-ridden disaster. It’s now no longer possible to make payments using the app because the page displays nonsensical errors one after the other. Specifically, your billing address is Pre-populated, but with an error saying you need to remove any special characters, even if your address has no special characters or punctuation at all. Even if you delete and manually renter your address with no characters or punctuation at all (only letters and numbers), the error does not clear. Then there is a yes/no toggle that you have to switch to “yes” to accept their electronic payments terms, but even after you toggle it from “no” (the default) to “yes” the app displays an error saying that you need to select yes. Pretty major bugs.
The old app was painful, this one is more user friendly. It’s less glitchy and shows more details. It should show you how many points your reservations are costing you. It should also be able to show more photos of the resort, Marriott already has them on each locations website. It should also show you point charts for each location you search. A lot of this application just pushes you to the website… You can search many resorts on this application, many are out of network and cost extra points that you can’t even book from the vacation club website… You would have to call in to be able to access. Overall we love our vacation club! Improve the app please
You guys have got make an effort to get this app working. I just updated and now I can’t even get logged in. I restarted my phone but it didn’t help. It opens and immediately pops a message that says an error has occurred and then it just spins. I was excited when this came out but it didn’t have a lot of features, I thought more would be added with updates but it only gets worse. I can’t believe the amount of money I pay for MVC and you can’t even get an app that works, not to mention the website has been hit and miss for over 2 years now. Just wait, I will get a message from developer response that says they are sorry and to call the customer service line that you can never get through to.
Mvci has incredible properties, the best maintenance but are just terrible at everything else. The website takes a longtime to load and,when you have a problem, lousy response time. That's why I downloaded the app. I can not get it to get it to load. So, its been a huge waste of time. I have pointed out to mvci that clearly none of the execs are using the website, the app nor are they calling in to check the quality of this stuff If the people who provide the quality of care on the properties knew that these other services were so inadequate, they would be very disapointed.
Hard to navigate, book with MVCI, keep receiving unsecured website
Overall this app is disappointing and to an extent, useless. As an MVCI owner, I would expect this app to allow me to view, easily identify properties I can book points with (and learn about the supposed amazing merge with Sheraton), and more. Instead I feel like this is simply lipstick on a pig. The app tries to connect with the MVCI website, and other websites that have unsecured connections. Allows no transparency of availability except for selecting a date and praying something is available. Very disappointing.
My wife and I have been Marriott Vacation Club owners since the early 1990s and I never thought I would be giving Marriott a one star rating for anything. Well, that has changed with this app. Totally useless if I cannot log into it. We have tried from both our phones and the frustration just builds every time we attempt to log in. I don’t know if anyone else is having the same difficulties. Marriott. Please find a way to fix this hiccup so we can go back to giving you the 5-star rating we have come accustomed to associating with you.
Such a great tool, to have the amount of information available in one place, regarding our account. The opportunities to explore the possibilities regarding our travel are amazing. So Thankful for the work that has been done to make this available to us.
I am so pleased with the app. I find what I need and I can book from the app. I can make changes from the app and it tells me more about the properties. I’m really impressed by the app and what I can do with it..
I am now able to click on the actual properties and pull information on that particular destination. Waiting for option to just put in dates and we see availability.
I love Marriott Vacation Club but the app needs serious improvement. If I try to do any sort of filtering in my search I am unable to click the search button after selecting my filter, so I have to pull out my laptop no matter what. Marriott, being as big as the brand is, should have a much better app experience.
Some links don’t work half of the time, especially when your request is bounced from the app to the website. When you try to reach customer service, one of two results happen. You encounter extraordinary wait times or you get told they are experiencing heavy call volumes, and your call is terminated. Regret I bought into this!
What is the purpose of the app if it is going to direct you to Marriott website. There’s a section asking you what you think of the app but when you click on the link it is dead. App is slow, not responsive and is not user friendly. I would expect a company like Marriott to fix the app as soon as possible.
I visit the site to book my vacations, to check my account and to see what is new at MVC. The initial rollout was pretty bad for the mobile app, but it is getting better and easier to book!
Marriott Vacation Club’s app and website are a frustrating and constant struggle for me and I’m good with technology. I have older relatives who also bought Marriott timeshares and navigating the app or website doesn’t work for them either. So, the result is long phone calls during business hours only to be told the resorts we wanted are booked full.
Just tried to book a stay and all the app does is take you to MVC’s non-functional website. What good is an app if it’s just going to take you to a website? Then when linking to the website, it didn’t recognize me as an owner. A LOT of work to do in all areas. Disappointing that poor functionality has made it where it’s customer facing.

Why is there a search function in app that has you fill out the dates and locations etc but forces you to the website where you have to refill the same information? This app is basically pointless
This app is good to look at information , but that’s pretty much it. Though Abound has launched for more than a year , this app doesn’t show westin/Sheraton reservations which is annoying
Doesn’t even work after latest update - repeated error trying to log in. Cans add reservations - it only pulls ones you made from your owner weeks/points so if you exchanged or booked somehow else you’re out of luck. So basically useless. Just use the Marriott app if you want to see your bookings.
Crashes, can’t stay logged in, reservations refer out to a website that’s either down half the time or the responsive design doesn’t work correctly and you can’t actually complete a reservation. I hope MVC fired whichever company they contracted to write this monstrosity and hired a competent replacement to rewrite this thing. Ugh!
Each time we visit a MVC property, we are told to use the app. After more than a year and a half of trying it’s still a failure. It just spins and won’t load most days. For the price of the dues paid, Marriott needs to do better. I don’t have this issue with other apps.
I was hoping I could use the app to search for my next vacation with points. It is useless since it only gives me the option to finish the search from a website.
Marriott is better than this app. It’s clunky, has redirects that lead you back to where you just were and just isn’t polished. It’s not terrible, but it’s not great either.
This app is useless. What’s the point of having this app if you have to call in. I prefer to handle most things online due to convenience. It’s frustrating when the app does not work correctly and continues to crash…this needs to be fixed.
My app shows that I have a notification but I searched everywhere and can’t find what the notification is. I deleted and reinstalled but still no notification. What good are the notifications if you can’t find them.
I loved the app before but recently every time I try to login, the app just spins and then times out on me. My goodness Marriott you want to charge us owners for toilet paper and other incidentals now but you are incapable of improving your apps and website with adequate servers?
