What is the definition of Nearby for the developer? Location On and I change the settings to my liking. So far so good. Then 30 km gives you California, Texas, Connecticut. All users that are supposedly Nearby are either 20 states away or in Peru? Really? Peru? You see a lot of complaints in comments and they are not taken seriously. I have to pay a million dollars to come close to what I’m looking for. So instead of charging for a subscription that doesn’t do anything except maybe get the users a state closer woohoo. How about once you pay the subscription don’t charge for texting. If I’m gonna pay $39 or $171 for the subscription then whatever you’re giving me isn’t working. It makes no sense to charge me double. And the pictures that these women are sending are ridiculous. They don’t even match their profile. Not a big fan. This is a huge cash grab with false advertisement. What’s the point of calling it Meete when your developer is trying hard not to? I’m guessing I will get a reply like “I’m sorry this happened to you, our staff try really hard to to make this app perform correctly”. Blah blah blah.
This app is false advertising! Women get ads saying they get paid to message men but the app description only states it’s for making friends. It doesn’t say anything about women making money while men have to pay. The app runs so slow and buggy and the last update was one year ago or even more at this point. Customer service will say they care but they never address your issues. You lose 8 gems every message you send and have to pay to get more. This app has gave women far more room to cell content. The devs will say this ain’t allowed but that’s not the point, If other social media platforms are letting women promote and sell there content and this app states it’s not allowed, then why let women make money from messaging men? This app is deceptive and clearly only enjoys taking peoples money, even the women. What’s crazier is women have the power to make the chat free but it doesn’t work!! One girl turned the free chat on for me but it still took gems away from me!! I brought this up to customer service and all they could say was “this apps still in the beta stages” for 3 years????? Needs major improvements performance and more options for customizing
Need to up location because I only get people half across the states or off into other continents which is very inconvenient even they are all real people it’s in practical that Intend to meet these females. It’s sad that there are many potentials except the fact we are thousands of miles apart therefore the relationship starts to get stale because they are worth getting g off the app to actually go meet if that is possible. I gave it a brief go. 2 weeks and about $1.5k spent. Nearly all the money was spent on gems trying to talk to girls and figure out who was real and who’s just a bot trying to sell fake content or actually girls just selling nudes. It costs like 8-10 gems to send a message, and gems cost $20 for 600c so you see that you can average 6 girls for about 10 messages each. Pretty steep. If they implemented something like, if you attempt to video call and verify a girl is real and it doesn’t work you should get refunded, I would have stayed longer, but at the moment it’s just Filipino farmers dragging on conversations so that you can keep paying them to message you. You’ll see a lot of fake profiles using the exact same images, just reverted or color contrast changed a bit. I’ll admit I’ve met 3 girls and had video calls with out of the $1.5k spent that were real, and only 1 was somewhat near to where I live. The other two were from South America. At least I have someone to call whenever I visit those countries for business. Aside from that, it’s just a big waste of money. Like I said, Filipino and Chinese bot farmers dragging along conversations so that you have to keep paying them. And bots selling content or desperate wannabe OF girls.

I’m a girl on this app. After using it for a few months, yea it’s a total scam. Girls, you’ll get actually money the first time you cash out, but after that you need to enter your bank info and it’s just really sketchy. So this is an updated review: I met my boyfriend Manuel through this app at around November of 2020. I had been on there for a hot second, met some good and bad personalities. However there was one specific one that was VERY bad and they did nothing about. In fact they banned me instead, for standing up for myself on the app after this dude’s predatory behavior. His name is “Ghost” in super fancy letters along with the emoji and he was straight up harassing me and calling me a wh0re. Then proceeded to support a dude who I called out for having r*pe fantasies about me. Ladies they WILL favor the men because they bring in the money for the app. He posted me multiple times and proceeded to report me and I got banned for 12 hours while all of his posts are up and his account are still up after my multiple reports. In fact it took only like an hour for them to take action for him but it has been well over a day for me and they’ve done nothing. So first off the app doesn’t let you change the range of people you want to meet or the age of said people without having to pay a subscription service. Now I personally didn’t pay for this but I’ve heard that once you pay the said price it doesn’t even work properly so that’s already huge red flags. I can’t even begin to describe how much I believe this app is a scam. In my opinion the first review I read while it gave the app four stars. This must’ve been a typo, but it be hard to say the entire review. Could’ve possibly been a typo because it was so well described how awful this app is, and how much it seems as if the developers are trying to actually keep you from meeting anyone there were also a lot of discrepancies in the app itself they want you to pay for every single thing you do in order for me to make true contact with any other individual I would’ve had to fork over what looks to be hundreds of dollars this is insane now in this other review, it was described basically the same way. The only honest interactions were with people trying onlyfan me SAD.

This whole app is a scam. First, you have to pay for in-app currency called gems. These are for texting others through the app. Second, there was gifts that can be purchased with the gems to gifts to the other members that live thousands of miles from you. Thirdly, this app is pretty much only for girls to sell there explicit content. The subscription is pretty much useless as you still have to pay for the gems. Distance filtering is also useless as you can set it for a 10mi radius and still be “matched” with others from Peru. I honestly love this app. Yeah, tons of features are missing unless you pay for ViP, but the same is true for most of the other worthwhile dating apps. Before I started mainly using Meete I was paying $30 a month for Bumble & Bumble doesn’t have a newsfeed for you to scroll through OR fun little head-to-head mini games you can play with the person you’re chatting with like Meete does lol. So, no real complaints here other than the “nearby” function not working properly 99% of the time haha.

If they make the chats free and only charge gems for voice/video calls, that In my opinion will make this one of the best dating apps. This app is for users to purchase in currency to speak with female users. They then take a large portion of earnings from photos users share. In my experience I was flagged twice for violations that did not make any sense. For posting an “advertisement” making a comment about fake accounts. And another for “nudity” posting about a piercing I had wanted. There also is no way of knowing if the other user you’re speaking to is over the age of 18 or consenting age being there is no ID verification at this time. This was my biggest concern with this app. * I edited my review for the reply, again users do not HAVE to verify. Although to cash out they will. You have no way of knowing who you are actually speaking to with unverified accounts that use cartoon photos, catfish or blacked out screens. * * You have no way of knowing if male unverified users are over 18. It is not mandatory to use the app. * * Needs to be reported to Apple and investigated because they don’t allow fetish or apps like this on their App Store when they figure-it-out 🙄

Verification takes more than 12 hours. You can only send messages for a day before you have to be verified. I have 30 messages that are about to expire, some with gifts. 200 matches, but I have to sit and wait for you guys to verify. None of this is my fault. Guys try to get your snap before talking to you and always complain about not having gems. After 10 messages they can talk to me for free. I only get 30 cents from this. Idk how much the app charges men, but I can talk all day and make like $3 max. The people making tons of money on here are selling content. Meete is as unoptimized as Cyberpunk 2077 was when it came out, but Meete still hasn't fixed any of the issues causing performance problems. from when I first downloaded this app to when I deleted it, my phone went into a bootloop twice, and forced a restart of my phone multiple times. The app is slow to load when opening (it lacks a load screen, so the devs are too lazy to add one). the kicker is, if the app were tested by the developers with phones that were similar to ones users were using, this wouldn't be an issue. I uninstalled and won't reinstall *or* even consider doing so until I see an active effort to fix these problems fixed.

This app is pretty cool and I’ve met some pretty cool people but if it was easier to send messages or I got more gems out of my money I think it would be more enjoyable, I just think 5.99 is a bit much for about 20 messages across the app, there are still a couple little things that are bugging me though like the nearby section, it should show people in the same city or close by not across the country lol
This app has really good features, but the fact that you have to pay to message your match is a no-go for me. You have to “build” your relationship status with a match to unlock more features to have new ways of interacting with them, cool features, but I’m not going to pay every time I want to send a message because I don’t have enough gems (the apps virtual currency). That plus a TON of bots and fake profiles trying to interact with you makes it ultimately not worth it. Sticking to tinder for now where I can message my matches for free.

This has been a decent app to meet people but then you go ahead and throw in a pay system to talk and chat to people. I clicked on the help button in app and all it offered was for me to redownload it in 8hrs to fix it and so I did, still no showing of my balance! I’ve tried redownloading multiple time and still nothing. Also the help button is useless on the app since it actually doesn’t help you solve this issue. Super frustrating and if I could give this app a -5 star review I would.
If your a guy and wanting to meet new people on this app, DONT DO IT! I’ve done both a male and female account to see the differences because it felt off that a woman can send multiple messages at a time without having to waste gems. I WAS RIGHT! All the women on here are just looking for your wallet and want your money, and you get charged talking to them every message. If your a lady on this app, THEY WILL NOT CHARGE YOU GEMS! It’s a huge d move to all guys out there wanting to find the that special women and they get charged for sending a message??? Don’t get this app, it promotes just women trying to rip off money from men.
This app is full of fake profiles so that you cash app them or scammers scamming. Yeah sure you get tons of messages but it’s all from other states of only fan girls trying to get you to spend diamonds to talk to them only to find out they want you to go to their only fans or cash app them. There is no legit people to meet up for a date, no way to truly build the conversation to find out if you should date without spending a fortune on diamonds that these fake bot accounts go after. It’s predatory apps like this, and the billions of fake accounts and bots that makes apps like this terrible.
Honestly this app is a total scam! 99% of the girls on here are getting paid, most of them are truly not interested in you. For the people that are old enough to understand this the girls are WAY TO EXCITED and charge you for the pictures/ videos they send, honesty I would rather pay for their Onlyfans. I’m not trying to gloat or anything I’m not a bad looking guy but there is no way that many girls are interested in me. There are a lot of issues with this app, but what I believe makes it the sketchiest is the fact that everything on their app is spelled wrong and the app developer was asking people to email him on an outlook email. Like it’s very strange they wouldn’t have a specific email for customer issues. Also gaining points is incredibly slow and the app is very complicated and hard to figure out. People will message you with a ‘free card’ once then suddenly the whole conversation is free for them. It’s not worth downloading.
The app constantly ask for more money as do all the women on the app. Many just trying to sell you something or get something from you. Women earn off the app for communicating and more. There is no clear explanation or breakdown of how the gems work. Membership is expensive and I wouldn’t recommend any male to waste their time or money. I’d just looking for young women to flirt and send you pics and stuff there are better places to go. But again impossible to communicate or connect with anyone and majority don’t seem real or just baiting you to get money from you.
I have used this app for months, without issue. I have never broken a single rule. After finally earning enough points to cash out my $10, I initiated the process to get paid out. Suddenly today, I went to log in and it stated that my account had been permanently blocked. After chatting with a friend, she told me this app always sends her payouts from a variety of different names companies. They are a VERY shady company. Additionally, they charge people obscene amounts to send gifts and they only give the receiver pennies of what the gift was. I hope they get shut down.
