Great if it works. The Face ID isn’t working. My camera works just fine. Except on this app. My password is the same password as my phones login. I have used this passcode before to log in. The password isn’t working now and the Face ID isn’t working now I’m not allowed to try to login. I need my id.
Consider the typical scenario when someone decides to download and rate this app: they’re likely at the DMV, having waited so long they’ve read every sign in sight and resorted to downloading this app to pass the time. It’s impressive that this app maintains a rating above one star, given that many users might be venting their frustration with the DMV when they leave a review. In short, despite the less-than-ideal circumstances under which people might discover it, this app is genuinely helpful and definitely worth your time to download and use!
Edit: seems like they fixed it finally. Didn’t send me the activation link. When I finally received it around an hour later it had expired. Tried again, it finally worked, but then the camera is blurry in the app so it had trouble scanning my ID and face. Now it doesn’t work at all. Crashes at startup.
This used to work when I had added my previous drivers license. There’s no way to update a new license which is rather stupid. So I deleted the app on my iPhone and iPad. Downloaded it again and it recognized the front of my new license, but as others have said it doesn’t recognize the back side for some reason. Perhaps the app creator should pay attention to the latest reviews which definitely doesn’t seem to be the case. Don’t waste your time with this app, it’s currently broken and totally unusable!
Come on Mississippi! If we’re gonna use this lets be able to use it any way our ID is used. This also means at traffic stops! I want to be able to leave my wallet at home. That’s the con. The pro is that this is a step in the direction of the future for MS and I’m happy to use this over a physical copy. Pretty neat in my opinion and very easy to use!
If you watch the tutorial, you will LEARN that you must move the phone with your face and LINE the dots up with the numbers 1-3 (Kinda lead with your nose: Do not move your phone)….. I like the app it’s Everything that it claimed to be & Does what it suppose to do….. Watch the videos to learn how to pass face I.d
Horrible app I am not able to get past the verification process I am not sure why you have to use your nose to point to the circles when most apps use a simple biometric verification system this is not worth using. I’ll be sure to make sure I have my id since you can’t use this to drink or if you get pulled over…. Before you promote the use of app fix the verification process thanks it was a waste of time
This is a great convenience to people who may have lost their wallet or simply left it home. However, most establishments will not accept this as a valid form of ID. I think it should be mandated that this app is just as acceptable as the hard copy ID. Otherwise, it’s almost pointless!
This app is failing the face verification process because it’s making the camera blurry for some reason during the face scan. Scanning cards, works perfect and the images come out crystal clear. When scanning your face, the camera is blurry as if your camera is dirty or something which is not the case. For a moment, I thought something was wrong with the front facing camera on my iPhone 15 Pro Max until I opened the default camera app on my iPhone along with other apps, and the blurry effect wasn’t present. Something is definitely wrong with this app, I guess I’ll try again in a month or so (if I have the patience).
I had my ID on my phone in the app with no problem. Had to wipe my phone and now the app won’t work. I’ve tried scanning the front of my ID no less than 50 times on different backgrounds and lighting. Chatted with support and they tell me there’s a known issue with the cameras in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. I asked if not deactivating on the app before wiping was the issue … they said “sometimes.” Just not helpful.
Downloaded this app on MS DMV recommendation when I was out of town and lost my drivers license and needed a replacement immediately. You’d think that if you keyed in your info it’d allow you to access your license. See the picture, renew it, etc. Nope, not til you take a pic of your license. How is this any more efficient than just keeping a picture of it on your phone? Deleted immediately.
We need to be able to scan in multiple IDs for those of us that have more than one state issued card. What’s the point of a mobile ID if you can load all of your IDs.
Everything during the setup process worked smoothly; however, once my ID was verified and activated, the app immediately crashed when I attempted to log onto it, whether through Face ID or typing in my 6-digit passcode. Please address this issue and resolve it. This software malfunction defeats the entire purpose of this app.
I downloaded this app and was happy with it. However, once you get a new phone, you have to repeat the setup process and the 14 Pro has an issue (according to the app’s support representative, they know about) where it won’t focus on your license and the setup fails. I hope they get this fixed soon!
After the new iOS update the app crashes whenever trying to log in. The app has been closed out deleted and added back with the same results. Before the update it was a 5 however it no longer works with the new update
Government software is notoriously known for being unapologetically subpar so it brings a small grin on my face to see this little gem perform so well…Bravo!
I tried several times to get this to work and have yet to get it to work. The face verification doesn’t work even when you do it correctly. Need better developers. I drive with Uber and have to verify my face daily and works like a dream. Consider reaching out to Uber to get this fixed. Very disappointed.
Was working fine, then upgraded to IPhone 15 and redownloaded everything now it just force closes when ever i use Face ID. Tried deleting and redownloading and still does the same thing. I really hope you all fix this issue.
This app would be perfect if it would add compatibility with the Apple Wallet app as well as allowing you to add a second ID for those of us with multiple state issued cards.
This app was great until I upgraded my phone. It does not work with the IPhone 14 Pro. I was told they had a version update back in Nov to fix the issue but they still have not released a fix after over 2 months.
I had iPhone 12 and I just got a newer phone in iPhone 12 the app worked fine the Id got scanned in just one time but in new phone I already scan my license more then 100 times it keeps failing to scan the license and don't work they need to do something app for newer phones.
The version history tells you everything you need to know. It was last updated 7 months ago. It stops working with each iOS update, and the development team seems to be nonexistent. It’s perfect for Mississippi. Tim Apple should remove it from the App Store.
On my iPhone 14 Pro, the app tries to use the wrong camera to take images of my ID. The camera it’s trying to use won’t focus on the appropriate scale and so it can’t get proper images of my ID. Has made the app useless.
This app is so hard to use that You there? Is not worth the effort. It’s impossible for me to get the selfie right. I can’t get get front and back pictures right because it takes the photo before I can get it lined up in the frame. Very poor design.
Was good with previous version phone. Right away it scanned and worked. But since I have new phone never worked with it. Keep giving me issue. Hope sooner will solve this issue. Thanks
I have tried several times under different lighting and distance. Same error pops up. I have contacted the developer and sent them all the information they requested. I never Heard back from them and it still doesn’t work. Waste of time.
This app is such a joke. My camera works fine but not on this app. The “ use your nose to move the line” is laughable !!!!! To have one to jump through the hoops as this app does is hateful and sadistic!!!. The designer or designers must have had no training in developing user friendly apps.
I used to use this and it worked fine, but the past couple times I’ve tried every time I go to unlock it, whether it be with Face ID or my pin, it just closes the app out. I’d use again if this issue is fixed
I got verified and was able to scan and upload my ID but now that I’ve done all the set up, it won’t open. I click on the app, the first screen opens to log in and then it just kicks me out to my main screen every time.
Just support apple’s digital id feature in the wallet. I don’t need another app taking up space when the feature exists on the phone already. Also the selfie verification never works no matter the lighting conditions.
I ride motorcycles so have my license and insurance on my phone is extremely convenient. I am very disappointed this app will not work with my new phone. There should be a way for the information to be stored in an account versus only stored on a unique device.
This app is unusable on my iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 17. It allowed me to set up my ID, then immediately crashes every time I attempt to log on. I have contacted “support” and they are non responsive. I want my tax dollars back that were spent on this failure.
Who developed this app? Someone in Mississippi it would certainly seem 😂. Why do I say that? Well, try to set it up and you’ll see. Also, this entity is not a part of the State of Mississippi, but a third party entity, and you can be sure this app isn’t “free” for no reason. Your info is being sold. Do not install.
It is impossible to get the face ID to work if you are a blind person like myself. Tried numerous times even with help from other people and still could not get this to work. There should be a workaround for blind people who cannot follow the dots.
I’ve had the app since it’s release on my 12 pro and it was an easy install. It will not install on the 15 pro. There seems to be an issue with the camera as it will not focus during installation.
I went through the tedious enrollment process only for it to crash as soon as I set up face id. Now I can’t use the app because it immediately crashes after I attempt to open it with face id.
As others have stated if you have an iPhone 14 pro don’t bother. Their app won’t focus so it never gets a clear picture of your license. Inexcusable that this isn’t fixed yet. Add it to the list of things your tax dollars are wasted on in this state.
I thought this app looked like a pretty cool idea. I’ll have to say though, it’s completely worthless. I’ve tried 6 times today to scan my drivers license for the set up and it fails every time. Time to delete this app!
