Technical Issue :: Apple Auth for 'Academy' fails without error code or message on: • iOS 17.5 ~ 13 Pro Max ~ App & Safari & Chrome • macOS 14.4.1 ~ M1 Mini ~ Safari & Chrome Works fine for 'Community' & 'Pro' login with Apple Authentication. Just fails back to initial login screen repeatedly for 'Acadamy'. I have confirmed that Email Auth Method does indeed work for all 3 stated domains. Account login methods cannot be switched per Musixmatch, so that's not a tenable solution for my Verified Account. Email to Support@ + Artists@ both totally brushed off. As a primer for what to expect service wise when we switch to Paid Pro to add additional bands... not comforting ..as a cherry on top of the very steep pricing structure. Working class bands & labels seem to get very little love. I truly hope these are growing pains in the route to recovery. Xoxo
First, I can completely understand the other reviews. Until you dig in you will be frustrated. Once you use it for a couple weeks, you start to see the ease of use. Syncing lyrics using their tool is simple and straightforward. Just click during a transition. Lyrics get posted quick. They usually get up on MM and Apple Music within a couple hours. Syncs can be hit or miss. I have some that hit in an hour or two and others that take a couple days. As for their curation service, 2/3 of them are trash. Don’t use it. You’ll just have to go back and do it over yourself. Even when you provide the lyrics for them, that just do it and ignore what you sent. Overall it is not as bad as it is made out to be but also not as great as the company states.
I am an artist that goes by Ty Alvarez and I must say this app is a tragedy. All us artists want to do is have synced, proffesional lyrics and this company makes doing so intolerable. Ever since I changed my my Stage Name there has been a problem uploading lyrics on every release without fail. Many times I would try to edit my lyrics and the app would say I need to “Graduate Academy” when I had already had my certificate for days. I emailed them about some lyrics that won’t upload for my latest EP, “DELUSIONAL” and apparently they are now “updating the database” so I can’t upload lyrics for songs with a feature unless I have a musicmatchpro subscription?? But I have previously uploaded lyrics for songs with features before and NOW you guys want money? And then the app is pointless, if you try to do anytning remotely important in the app you go to a website. You guys need some serious work , wish yall the best though
It basically pushes you back and forth between the app and your web browser to edit and save your lyrics so you might as well not use the app. Editing your artist profile info doesn’t work anywhere either so don’t even bother. Good thing I was able to trial Pro, not going to be subscribing because it’s not worth it until they fix these critical bugs that completely hinder basic functionality. Last update at the time of my writing this review was also 9 months ago which is crazy for such a high profile app for song lyrics..
Overall this service is very inefficient and very difficult to work with. Doesn’t seem well connected with all other services and the time lines are very long. This App seems pointless because everything I click just sends me to the website, then the website tells me to go to the app… It’s all very inconvenient for artists just trying to get their work to be more professional with a service that is not well ran. Especially with that fact that it’s a paid for service.
I create an account through the website and quickly realized the site was not what I was looking for so I am trying to cancel the subscription, but it says you have to go through the app to cancel not the website so I downloaded the app but then when I try to login through the Google account it won’t login click my account and then it takes me back to the default login screen this app and this company is joke
It took me over 2 hours just to sync one song, the website refuses to play my song I had to open the other Musixmatch app, the guidelines are too strict to uploading lyrics but and it doesn’t fit the format of my song but I had to upload it like that anyway it kept saying my lines are too long but it’s literally one line, it didn’t allow me to sync on the pro website,
Not even sure where to begin here….. I’ve verified my login 20+ times. It will only show that my band is linked to my account on 1 of my 3 devices although they’re all linked via the cloud. It basically just hates me and wants me to give up all hope for anything good in this world 🤪 I don’t even know how to reach ANYONE to fix my technical difficulties or cancel y account or even just someone to cry to haha. Boo.
I was on PC first and was prompted to use the iOS version of Musixmatch because it was compatible with Apple Music, but it’s not. When you click “ADD” or “SYNC” is just takes you out of the app and into the browser. With that being said that’s why this app has a low rating.. I don’t think it’s compatible with anything regarding lyrics.
I’ve tried logging in multiple times. Waited weeks to try it again. Deleted the app and I still get the same error telling me that something went wrong. Pretty disappointing
I log in to the app and… nothing happens. I have the option to change my preferences, my personal data, and to log out. That’s it. It doesn’t do anything else that it shows.
How is this company in charge of large platform music streaming lyrics? I’m just so perplexed. These are the buggiest apps I’ve ever seen. This must be a cast of, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
This app is absolutely horrendous. The desktop website version is a nightmare as well not letting me do pretty much anything done and yes I have a paid PRO subscription. Moved from desktop to the app to see if it was any better but the app won’t even provide a forward button to get me logged in. Horrendous. I can’t believe this amateur company is the company that Spotify is choosing to use as their lyric provider.
Musixmatch Pro doesn’t work properly - an absolute disaster for trying to add and sync lyrics to songs as a verified artist. And their customer service is worse than useless. So don’t waste your time. And no, there is no other way to get your lyrics on Spotify, unfortunately. A disappointing situation all around!
