MyOCCU Mobile Banking

I’m sure the new app update has a few kinks here and there, but it has totally been refreshed and updated to today’s era. I personally haven’t dealt with any crashes, just slow loading but that’s probably going to be based on service, because it’s not always the case. I really like the user interface, I now don’t feel like I’m doing online banking in the early 2000s. I do wish there were individual push notifications for account alerts for debit card/credit card, for purchases, deposits, withdrawals, user ID retrievals and password resets, etc—as self serve security features. Put it like this, check out the bank with the horse and stage coach’s online banking basic features and build on them. I know I’m asking for a lot... Regardless, great job on the improved and needed mobile banking app! 👍👍

One really big issue I found is that the widget for the snapshot doesn’t work saying “unable to load” and I assume it says the same thing when you hold down on the app, it’s just blank. I wish I could see it at a glance in my widgets instead of needing to sign in and see. Another one is that it doesn’t match the iOS 13 dark theme with the widgets, but that’s not that big of an issue to me to be honest. Another thing that would be nice, though I’m not sure if it is possible, it to be able to cancel transfers while they’re pending, at least within like 24 hours. That would be a life saver. One thing i noticed too, was when I did my remote deposit, it said that I had $300 or so available, but below it said I really only had a total of $80. I’m not sure if that was a glitch because I haven’t seen it before, or if the $300 really was available and that because the check didn’t process yet, my balance didn’t go up... confusing but hey, I don’t know. I really just want the widget to work again and maybe have more options like a button to open check deposit or something.

I’ve been using this app for a long time now and it’s extremely convenient. You can check multiple account balances and transfer money is just a few seconds. I’ve ran into one or two problems over the past 2ish years, but I called the support and they talked me though it. And surprisingly the wait long for support isn’t very long. Overall, I have no complaints and this app makes my life a bit easier.

The new update that’s been in the works to completely rewrite the app just released, and it LOOKS really good. Everything looks a lot smoother and more modernised than it was before with the clunkier old app. I really appreciate the Touch ID log-in aspect, and the ability to set a nickname for the account owner. However, it still loads very slowly, and isn’t usable at all due to the crashes. This is literally day one of its release, and it’s crashed six times for me within the last twenty minutes of trying to use it just to set the security questions back up for my account and make a simple transfer. In order to be functional, it needs many bug fixes and the ability to support the amount of users it’s going to receive at once.

Trying to make a credit card payment from another bank is infuriating. It’s buried in the set up menu, and necessary to go to the set up menu each month rather than paying from the card like you can in other bank apps. It is in no way intuitive. I have one recurring payment made with my OCCU card, and I am going to stop it so I don’t have to go through the hassle of remembering how to make a card payment each month. Seeing my car loans and other accounts is fine and easy, but the credit card situation gets this app three stars.

Half the time the app will not load. You open it, and loading dots just cycle and cycle and cycle. When it gets stuck in this loading mode it lasts for days. You can reset it my restarting your phone, but you’ll be doing that often. The older app was much better.

I am unable to “authenticate” my account and log in with the mobile app. I can log in without difficulty using my Windows 10 laptop. When I use the same user name in the mobile app that I log in with on my laptop, I get two “authenticate” security questions that are not part of my account profile. When I click on “text”, I get two phone number options, neither one is my phone number. I called the number on the back of my credit card issued by Oregon Community Credit Union. The representative was of no help and didn’t have anyone she could transfer me to to figure out the problem. I deleted the app and downloaded it again. I got the identical results when I tried to “authenticate” the count with the mobile app. The underlying question is “has my account been hacked” since the same unknown security questions and phone numbers come up during the “authentication process of the mobile app? I am at a total loss as to why OCCU doesn’t have the ability to help sort this out.

I have loved having OCCU as a bank, but for years hated their internet banking experience. This year they finally upgraded their online experience to be as convenient and functional as all their other services. Expect an accessible and professional looking online banking app that works as well as the best in the business. I am so thankful that the app is where it needs to be at long last!

I really like occu. I love that I can create as many savings accounts as I want, titled whatever I want. I feel more organized with my money and savings. I preferred online banking with occu over my second credit union.... but occu just changed their online appearance/settings and I don’t prefer it. I liked the old version better it felt more organized to me. 4 stars cause it’s a great credit union over all.... I just don’t like the online version.

This app and the new online system got some bad reviews when they started up a few months ago, but it’s working great for me now. The check deposit camera is quick and easy as long as you have enough light (and a dark background helps). I like the new transfer look as well.

OCCU has been a great place to bank. Member owned, safe, reliable and when I moved out of state and even out of country prior to the internet and with less than reliable phone service they have served me well. Always friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you staff and management! Hope to be with you for another 32!

Love the overall update of the banking app, but I have not been able to get a single mobile deposit of a check to go through. It crashes every time I try. This really needs to be fixed, I need to be able to deposit checks from my phone for my business. Apparently this problem is being looked at, but it still doesn’t work even after a few app updates...

Have called weekly since 3 weeks into implementation-it is now over 6 weeks and all I get is excuses of why the check deposit feature does not work on my iPhone. They don’t seem to care to even try to fix this issue. Their app is worthless when coming to resolve an issue

Credit unions often offer many services at a lower cost than “traditional” banks. OCCU goes beyond that. They offer many services, and they offer them provided by excellent customer-oriented people! I’ve banked with them over the decades, living in and out of Oregon-they have always been here for me. Thank you.

OCCU has done a very nice job updating and improving its mobile app to match the new standard website portal and pages. My only complaint is having to change my security settings in order to download estatements, but that has been discussed with Kaitlin at OCCU tech support (who did a very nice job helping me get a workaround.

The previous app had all sorts of problems but this new one is a step up in a big way. I no longer live close to a branch so I do almost everything online and this allows me to do almost everything without as many glitches.

Can’t access statements. Can’t find old transactions. No access to actual website if using a tablet (that I can find). Sooo it’s great for current info but not for looking up what I needed to find today which was how long would an external transfer take to show up on OCCU side. Love OCCU but certain things are slower and slightly frustrating. THEY are super nice and I like working with them.

Today I got a check in the mail and I had to get it deposited. My branch is closed. I had downloaded the app and decided I would learn something new today. How to deposit it from home on my phone app. I did it and it felt wonderful. Great app you have. Thank you.

Got a car financed with great terms but always a little bummed there aren’t physical locations to make a deposit to. I always have to write a check to deposit via phone and wait for it to post. Kinda cumbersome but service and loan terms outweighs the annoyance of paper check deposits.

Love these guys. So friendly and helpful whenever you go in. I started my relationship with them years ago when I lived in Eugene and was very happy when I moved to the Salem area to discover they have 2 branch’s down there too. Banking on line with them is very easy. OCCU is the best.

Dang few months ago. Ur app was like outdated with simple format. Now this app is updated like any other banking app out there! Finally you guys realized the old app was crap and now it’s been updated. Way to go u got my 5 star review. 10x better ease of usage, manageable, quick simple task. And logout. Plain and simple easy

I like that i can link external accounts but there are tons of glitches when trying to add it. And once i had my external account added it kept crashing and logging me out saying that it couldnt update my account because my user/pass were reported incorrect. This was super annoying because its time consuming having to relink the account. I also dislike how long transfers take. This is exactly why i prefer chime as my primary bank. Overall i dont strongly recommend it

Thanks for the revision of the app. Here are some things that could be improved yet: 1) it is quite slow to load. I use an IPhone X and it should load faster. 2) the line items are super small to read. Maybe change layout slightly to enlarge. Thanks!

I like the ease of use with this app. The only problem I had was being able to add another member’s information for a transfer. It wouldn’t let me do it. I went to my laptop as did it easily. Other than that it’s great!

So easy to do all banking on this app. Remote deposit, bill pay to businesses or individuals, transfers, statements… everything except sending a wire. We love this app! Our daughters who moved out of state decided to keep banking with OCCU because they like the app so much!

I am able to see balances on my account with another bank with one login. Nice large display with colors that help they eyes immediately identify different accounts. Well though out by the mechanics.

I’m thrilled with the OCCU app. I can quickly check account balances, deposit checks from anywhere, transfer funds from checking to savings or confirm a recent transaction. I use it regularly and love it!!

I can’t edit ongoing bills (to change the payment day, for example). Seems I have to cancel the whole series & start over to make one change.

I’m not one for writing reviews but I think the app is pretty good. I’m able to keep track of all deposits to my savings account and interest so I know if any money has been taken out. So far no complaints.

Recent updates have been very helpful especially concerning remote deposits. Taking pictures of checks now seems to run flawlessly. It used to be quite frustrating. Thanks!

I like the app a lot. I transfer money from this account to other each month at a minimum and it is easy to do so. I wish I could transfer higher dollar amounts but the max is $5k.

At least the old version worked. I can’t deposit checks. If I try to use FaceID, it kicks me out every time. Should have done more testing before releasing this crap.

The app is nice, but when I go to apply for a credit card or extend my line of credit it will let me fill out my information.. but when I go to agree to the final documents it kicks me out of the whole thing. I tried starting over several times but nothing works

Just wish you guys had locations outside of Eugene! I’ve had 2 car loans and a savings and checking with you for years but we’ve moved and I can’t find a bank or credit union that compares locally. Thanks for setting the bar so high!

I now live in a place without a branch but due to OCCU having remote banking with a great website and shared branching it remains easy to be a member. The few times I had to call in for help the call center staff has been awesome.

So clean and functional. Even keeps the routing number handy because they know I'll forget it.

This new update is BUGGED to the max. Sure it “looks better” but when you try to mobile deposit a check you cannot focus the camera. I don’t need a fancy new “we’ll capture the picture for you”, all I need is an app that works. Tried for 40 minutes to mobile deposit a check with no luck in both manual and auto capture mode. Total fail.

From my phone, pad or desktop everything works easily. Mobile check deposit is great!

I am a loyal fan of this credit union. I moved to another state but refused to give this place up. I’m still with them. I wish all banks were like them. I’d give it 10 stars if that were an option.

I no longer need to go to the bank to deposit checks, this app makes it so easy!

The convenience of utilizing my iPhone to do my banking is so helpful in every way!! Not having to go out in the pouring rain and drive and park and run inside. Thank you for this service

Overall great app, but once or twice a week, I have to re-input my user/pw, verify and name my device, before I can log in instead of simply using FaceID/Passcode unlock to access.

This OCCU app works really well. Every once in a while It freezes up but always fixes itself. It’s better than going to the bank and I can do most everything I need to. Great app.

App stopped working a month ago. Initially it wouldn’t log me in and went to the thinking screen of death. Uninstalled and reinstalled and now it won’t even open to more than a white page before it errors out. I’m not impressed with the technology skills with the company and am actually worried for my security with how bad their app and website are.

Let me just say in short, that I love this bank. The loans, the app, the people in store, everything is amazing. I cannot recommend it enough!!!!

The current version I’m using works well. The deposit feature has been updated and I like that it’s hands free to capture the check image.

It would be nice to have a “memo” field when depositing a check into checking or savings account. Example: there’s is a memo field when making transfers

Wondering how long my banking app will be down for maintenance ? It has been 3days now I have not been able to access my money. ☹️

Recently moved to a different state, but are keeping our OCCU accounts. This app is a big reason why. I hope the next bank I get is this good & useful.
