I have been a customer for over 30 years. I have yet to have a problem. The service Is always great, friendly and helpful. Whether it is to deposit a check or work with customer service. I can not say enough about this bank. Thank you.
The app works well and UI is good (I’d give it a 4/5). The customer service at the bank is what really sets things apart (in a good way). Service combined with the good app is why I changed banks; it’s been three months since we changed and I’m very pleased thus far).

After getting an account with Needham Bank has changed my banking, and how I save my money and move closer to my goals. The online banking is great. Customer service at the bank is great by far one of my best encounters with banking.
I love that I can sign in with my fingerprint on my phone. That is great. My big issue is that I can’t make any notes on my deposits or see old checks. I wish there were a way to pull up copies of checks I have written or deposited in case I need to check something or at least make a note as to why there is a specific withdrawal or deposit.
I consistently experience issues with mobile check deposit - either camera won’t adjust when phone is rotated, screen stays blurry and won’t scan check, check image isn’t recognized and there’s no way to bypass it even when the view of it is crystal clear, or the app shuts down completely when I try to deposit checks.
Had the app for years, no problems. As of late, this notification appears far too regularly when attempting to login. “Application Error: We are unable to display your information at this time. Please try again later.” This is a developer issue, not a hardware issue.
The app is OK but once in a while I deposit a check and then it doesn’t go thru. I have to keep my checks to make sure the money was actually deposited. More importantly, I don’t like how I can’t label my deposits. I wish I could put a note so I know what the check was for.
Compared to other banking apps I use - even from a smaller credit union, Hudson Valley Credit Union - which can be so easy to use that they’re fun to use, this app is outdated, slow and can be hard to navigate.
Good update with these improvements: - Mobile Deposit now works well. - You can add a new payee to BillPay. I depend upon Mobile Deposit to deposit all my checks, whether I am at home or away. By selecting a paid check, I can view the check image to see the payee. I use BillPay to initiate a check when I am in the doctor's office, so I don't forget to make a payment. To make it a 5 star app, it needs to be able to show images of the deposited checks. I sometimes need to identify deposits I have forgotten.
