Great banking app!
I opened an account about 3 weeks ago, they had a reward of $25 if deposited money above $20, so I did and they gave me the $25 right after it cleared! They kept their word on that and for everything else I’ve used it for, roundups work just fine and they even have a Zelle equivalent that sends money in minutes! I have had absolutely NO problems with this app and intend on using it for most of my banking needs. Give it a try, you might just love it too! Oh and for all those ppl claiming that they pay or paid for my review, that is completely absurd and just plain stupid, I usually don’t write reviews for anything, but really good games. But when a bank offers me an incentive of $25 to set up an account with as little as $20 to start, and not only do they send the $25 right after my $20 cleared, but let me move it from my savings to my account with no strings attached, offer shopping bonuses of up to $20 cash back for buying things I needed anyway, then I feel compelled to tell as many ppl as I can that something is what they say it is! I’ve already gotten my dad to sign up, my mom is next! I could care less if you believe what I write or not. Sadly that’s another causality of our talk is cheap world, I was brought up a completely foreign way from today, so I call decent companies out you do what you will with what I say!

Very Good Mobile Banking App
This is my first review on the App Store & felt like this was needed. One Finance deserves some more recognition as the UI & Customer Service is very top tier. The UI of the site, app, & design elements used on PDF’s, Logos, Transaction Logos, Debit Card, etc. really caught my attention as it’s designed very minimal & pleasant. The Auto Save pocket is 3% APY & is probably the most i’ve seen on the market. Save is sitting at 1% APY which is the usual norm. Good to have both pockets with different features & the ability to share pockets with others is very cool. Some people can be denied this bank so it is good to share pockets with people for business, family, or bills but peer to peer payments isn’t ideal. Check Deposits & Pay Anyone feature is all that this is missing & think it should be rolled out ASAP & be a high priority. Lastly if there was a way to send money instantly to any bank with Zelle or another friend who banks at One without sharing a pocket would definitely set this bank above 99% & consumers would agree with exactly what I’m saying.

One trick
Nothing takes up unnecessary space more than a program that does one trick. So I was anxious to get same day pay from spark but I wasn’t invited into the one program. So after doing research I read about one program and I instantly created an account so I can be prepared when it’s available in my region. I didn’t have much choice considering there is no landing page options other than login and sign up. There is no faq page, no help center, no contact us, etc. almost instantly after creating my one account I receive a spark invite with instructions saying use the same login credentials as spark and the link in my email. I didn’t use my spark email for my one account and I used my phone number. So when I pressed the link it automatically integrated to an account I never opened. So I try and resolve the issue by asking customer service to delete my account so that I can go through the link and the integration can be effective. Initially customer service did not fully honor my request because when I tried to create a new account my phone number was still occupied. They then narrated the account is inactive but I can still login for statements. So I requested to delete my data in effort to free up my phone number. So it was done and yet I started getting rejected to create a new account. Customer service explained that at this moment they are unable to reinstate closed accounts and create new accounts for customers. How completely useless.

$15 credit is a Lie. Dishonest. Fraudulent. Bait and Switch.
I have WalMart In Home delivery. Every week when I place my order I see the little box that says if you open a ONE pay account you can get $15 back on your first purchase AT Walmart and more cash back as you use it. Well, if I’m ordering weekly, why not get cash back? I download the app and begin trying to look for fine print. What is the app? Does it affect my credit? What security does it have? How do you get the cash back? NOTHING. There is nothing to describe what it is and how it works and where your cash credit goes and how to access it. Because of my Walmart account, I didn’t have to provide almost any info before it’s saying I have a new account and Congrats!! I just earned $15. I go to place an order and I should have $15 credit, correct? WRONG YOU ARE. I have to open a DEBIT CARD to get this, and wouldn’t you know when I chatted with an associate online it stated I had already applied for one? How? I didn’t consent to open a financial account with them? There was no terms and conditions explained let alone a box to check to state I understood them. Do better Walmart. Every time I have any online theft of a card number, guess where the fraud charges have come from? Walmart. So why would I want to use your financial app when this is how you interact with people? You make false promises, sell the lie, get their information and they waste time and resources to fix YOUR issue.

They stole my money.
I made a one pay account an hour ago after seeing in in my Walmart app. They were offing 15$ cash back so I made an account. They don’t allow split payments on the one pay app so I transferred what I needed from my debit card to my one pay account so I could use my 15$ cash back also. The transaction went thru and they took the money out my account, but it’s not showing up at all in my one pay account . Keep in mind I made a 2$ deposit TEN MINUTES before the 94$ deposit. Contacted them THREE different time today and they keep telling em the can’t see it and it’s my debit card banks problem. I contact their support and they are telling me (like I suspected) that is their problem and they have not completed the transaction. I called them back and they kept telling me the same thing “ we cannot see the 94$ transaction” “a team will be looking into it” I have a 5 month old daughter , who hasn’t had formula for three hours. That 94$ was goin towards things for my children I.e formula and diapers etc. one pay is extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend using them. I made an account and in one hour they stole money from me and are giving me millions of excuses as to why it’s not showing up. Better off using other forms of payment that’s are better like Cashapp, Chime , PayPal and Venmo I will be closing my account when they fix this problem and never using their services again

AVOID THIS APP!!!
This is the most unstable and horribly put together financial app I’ve ever encountered, for about 2 weeks it wouldn’t let me set up direct deposit, I finally got it set up. I thought all was well, I start getting cash back and saving with round up. I have about 30$ between the two and it’s not automatically transferring to my savings like the 6 DIFFERENT! Customer support agents told me it would, so I have 30$ that I could seriously use right now and can’t even use it because either the automatic transfer is broken or I’m being lied to, this issue would be fixed if I had full control of my accounts and it’s balances by being able to manually transfer the balances to whichever account I choose. My experience with this app is so annoying and bad I’m actually thinking about just ditching that 30$ to leave this horrible app, but now I can’t because it won’t let me link any of my other cards so I can’t transfer the funds they decide to give me access too, I’m constantly getting error codes when I try so they have me trapped. And customer support is just as bad, it’s literally like talking to a brick wall, they’re actual people but it’s like every single one of them copy and paste from a script. I’ve been using this app for maybe 3 weeks now and have had to contact them more than 20 times! And each time it was like they struggled to grasp the issues I was experiencing.

Removing features, crippling the service
Changes over the last year or so, especially with the new Walmart deal and complete redesign of the app have many of us extremely nervous that this will become a very basic banking service. Even the pockets are no longer alphabetically sorted. HOW? WHY? A bunch of great features are now gone, and without any new valuable features. Such as: Hopping on the current Top Comment train to share a Rating Review Template: If you came to One looking for a bank that cares about its customers, communicating with them, and fulfilling the expectations they themselves set up, run away, now, and quickly. The One CEO came to this FinTech’s subreddit a few months ago and told us that very little would change, and all the changes would benefit One’s customers. Instead of fulfilling their own expectations, they sold the company to WalMart and dropped the majority of its defining features other than being a basic, virtual bank. For those curious, we lost the ability to: 1. Create new Expense Pockets 2. Create virtual cards for those Pockets 3. Point our Debit Card to any Pocket 4. Modify Recurring Transfers 5. Share Pockets with anyone (Spouse, Children, Roommate, etc) 6. Share our Spend Pocket 7. Lock a pocket against ACH transactions 8. Virtually send payments to anyone 9. “Send a check” (we do not have physical checks) 10. Access our previously existing Credit Line

Broken Promises
There was a point in time I would have rated one 5 stars, and actively recommended it to everyone I knew. However, the company was recently purchased by an investment arm of Walmart/their parent company and it has been downhill ever since. They’ve been removing features, lowering interest rates, and making the app far less user friendly. They once offered the ability to divide your expenses into “pockets” with their own account number and an option for a virtual card. You still technically can, but they limit you to something like 3 pockets, and can no longer create separate virtual cards. Overdraft protection used to be a key selling point but has been reduced to a minimal amount. The app recently went through a redesign which broke functionality for a lot of things I did daily/weekly. The company used to be extremely transparent but as of late things change with no notice, and most changes relate to the removal of features. Imagine you have your paycheck set to go to a specific “pocket” and one day they remove that feature and suddenly your payment is delayed, or they remove the pocket and you can’t use the card associated with that pocket to pay a bill anymore so now your bill is late. No longer a company I can recommend, and I will be pulling all funds in the next few weeks in preparation of me closing the account altogether.

Would not let me access my money
I have been using ONE as my primary checking account ever since Simple closed. Yesterday for most of the day, the app and website refused to load for me. I figured there was some sort of technical glitch and didn’t worry too much about it. Then later in the day when it finally did load, it showed my balance as $0 and all of my transactions were gone. I called customer service in a panic and they were completely unhelpful. The rep would not give me a straight answer about what was going on. First they were saying there was something wrong with my account specifically, then it was a systemwide technical glitch, etc. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there was none available. Thankfully whatever was going on did correct itself and I was able to access my money last night, but this incident completely turned me off ONE and I moved all my money to a different bank. There was also another incident last year where they incorrectly denied an autopay transaction, resulting in my car payment not submitting and my credit score dropping about 80 points. I should have switched at that point. Yesterday was the final straw for me. I understand tech glitches but having my balance show as $0 and the rep being unable to explain it or let me speak with a supervisor was completely unacceptable.

This bank had become the worst
Don't use this bank or this app. It's difficult to reach customer service, they ignore customer feedback, and their transaction download feature has been broken for months and months. Today, we realized that we're done with this bank. We haven't been able to use the app all day- it just keeps crashing. They changed the functionality of the app, the accounts, and the physical cards. More importantly, all the functionality that was the initial selling point of this bank have been removed or changed to the point of being unusable. You can't change which pocket is assigned to your physical card. My husband and I split all our funds into different pockets, to split out gas, restaurants, groceries, etc. Now we'll need to transfer funds from one pocket to another first, which is way more complicated and time consuming than just reassigning the card. All of the change notices have stated that these changes are to help "simplify" the accounts but there has been an outcry from users that these changes are NOT what are wanted. I blame all of this on the sale of the bank to Walmart. They ruin everything and this is no exception. We're switching back to our credit union because after Simple ending and now the ruination of One, we're done. It was swell, One, but the swelling's gone down. Bye.

Unable to sign up for account.
I've heard such great things about One and someone I know uses it and really likes it. I was attracted to it due to the combination of features One has which is hard to find. After thorough research of like services I have found that only One offers multiple pockets (or similar), credit building, overdraft protection, round ups and more. I couldn't find one that has all of these features except for One. I was really looking forward to starting an account and currently have a Wells Fargo account and three credit cards, my credit isn't terrible and yet somehow my application was declined. I'm not sure if it was due to something being reported that I'm not aware of or in some fault in the verification process but it's super frustrating getting a generic email from support telling me they can't tell me why. It makes absolutely no sense. I didn't have this much trouble opening accounts elsewhere, I mean actual banks like Bank of America and Wells Fargo made the application process easy and more personable. I am really torn because I'd still like to open an account and would really like some resolve. I don't want to turn to another service with less features just because of application issues. I wish someone would help me figure out what I can do to get through the application process successfully.

Pockets are neat
I’ve had this account for a few weeks. I’ve only used it for a few purchases. It takes 5 business days for transfers from other banks to show up. The auto-save feature that rounds up your change from your purchases happens the day after you make the purchase, not automatically when you make the purchase. Every single time I open the app, I have to enter my full email address in addition to my password. I like on Chime app where I just enter my pin to open the app. Entering this app takes a few steps, first I have to tell them I don’t want to enable Face ID log-in, every single time. Then tap “log in”. Then wait for the website to load to enter my full email address and password. There is no remembering my email or my preference to not use Face ID. This is a little annoying especially because I’m accessing the app frequently to see if my transfers have finalized. I did like that I was able to add a digital card to my virtual wallet as soon as I opened the acct. The physical card took 3 weeks to come in the mail. Update: April 2022. Thank you for making logging in more simple! I love this app and service!

ONE is not FDIC insured.
ONE is a complete fraudulent company . I had to transfer money from chime to my ONE account cuz I lost my chime debit card . The money was about $3,300 and in the next couple of I woke up seeing transaction notification from One showing my card was used and I had nothing left in my account , I tried logging into my account and it seems I was locked out . I was able to make password reset so I got onto the account but most of the features on app was limited Including seeing my balance and transaction. I was surprised and I had to contact support and the said my account was under closure . WOW. After loosing $3,300 they are closing my account so I had to file a dispute over my money and it took 30days thinking I was gonna have my money back . They didn’t and this was they said ‘ “ This letter is to inform you that we have made a final determination regarding the above noted claim dated December 27, 2021. Based on our investigation, we do not find that an error has occurred. Therefore, no funds will be credited to your account as a result of your claim and this matter is considered closed. You may request a copy of the documents we used in determining the final outcome of the investigation.” I requested fa copy of document and yet still I haven’t received a reply from them .

Fraudulent
I have had this card for about two years now due to my job. I have to unfortunately. I do not use this card for anything except transferring the balance to another card. And yet I have had fraudulent purchases made on 3 different occasions. The first one was $80 at a Walmart in Arkansas at 3am. I live in Florida. The second and third occurrences were a bunch of micro-transactions to Apple. Amounting to $42 and $12. I have provided every proof I can think of and they are of no help. The language barrier doesn’t make it any easier as far as customer support goes. They give you the same lines “We need new information to reopen this dispute”. And do nothing to get your money back. This whole card company tied in with Walmart just screams SCAM. I’ve seen multiple forums in which many people are having this issue. So now I just keep the card “frozen” indefinitely because even with them sending out new cards, it’s clearly in their system that the numbers are being accessed. Otherwise how are these purchases showing up as a debit SWIPE? I’ve never even been to California. Just please beware of this card. I don’t wish these issues on anyone. Being stolen from and your card company just shrugging it off.

I'll say 5/5
I'm going to give One 5 stars because of their ability and willingness to quickly implement customer feedback. I love having each bill/merchant assigned its own pocket. It's perfect for fraud protection and to stop possible overdrafts if I'm double charged. The addition of virtual cards for every pocket is awesome. This set to allows me to budget down to the exact penny (a virtual cash envelope system). I adore my credit line. It is now higher than any of my credit card debt. Why is that awesome? As I pay off my credit card debt (woo!) I know I'll have a 0% loan and then 1% every month after (12% APR). That's HALF my credit card interest rates. No worries on the credit card debt. I'm on a debt free journey and my pocket set up with One has eliminated me from making extra swipes just because. I have a "Frivolous" pocket that gets funded after all my bill pockets are filled. What I'd love to see? More automation in the budget. I'd love to say these are my fixed expenses and One do the calculation for each payday contribution. I'd really love a Goals feature. "I need $15,000 by Dec 2023" and One calculate the amount per paycheck and set aside the funds. I'd also love more built in budget features like: how much am I spending on categories (pet, restaurant, automotive) Hopefully those things will come. That would truly make One the only bank, only ap, & only card in my wallet/phone.

ONE is removing all of the features that made it great
Like many others, I joined One after Simple was shuttered because they seemed like the closest approximation to what I was getting from my banking. The pockets allowed me to properly budget my money, and pocket protector allowed me to not worry if a bill was higher than what I’d budgeted (especially helpful with credit card bills). And me and my wife used the shared spend pocket as a sort od joint account. Now, One is limited pockets, removing pocket protection (which only hurts their members, because it’s going to result in declines charges, even though funds might still technically be in their account), and removing the ability to share spend pockets, making the service all but unusable for me and my wife. I’ve already started the process of joining another bank. When they began, One was very responsive (especially on the One Finance subreddit), listening to requests, concerns and ideas for their customers. Now, they’re taking away everything their customers wanted from their service. They’re become just another bank who cares little for their customers experience. It was nice while it lasted, but I’m out.

One is now owned by WalMart - dumpster fire
ETA: Do not bank with One. Their app and website were down for almost an entire day (21st Sept.) with zero communication nor any idea of when it would be back up. People could not access their money at all, transactions were declined, and nobody could give an answer as to why. WalMart is gonna WalMart. If the aim was to take away every feature that made this bank/app great, well done. There is no way this went through any type of Beta testing. It’s now completely user-hostile - difficult to navigate, layout makes no sense intuitively, functionality is odd (ex. why is there a move and an add button for transferring money around? the ability to swap is now gone within that so you have perform extra steps), colors are harsh to look at and almost identical to Varo Bank, card assignment has been removed (why??), and you cannot see/access your Credit Builder Pocket unless you are on an actual browser. But hey, you can assign your pocket an emoji, so it’s cool 🙄 I will most likely have to move banks yet again due to these changes. This bank/app used to be the best, this is really disappointing and frustrating.

Amazing but minor setbacks
I originally used Chime. For a whole year I loved it then they told me because I wasn’t primary on my (married filed joint) tax return they would not take it into my account as if I had no right to our refund. So I closed the account & was terrified I wouldn’t find a better bank but boy was I wrong!! I see the “check deposit” & “pay people” options are pending but I like that y’all have the “share” options so I don’t need to pay my husband or vice versa to share an account. It’s like an optional joint account and we just add money for the other person as needed!! && I love I can create other pockets so if my family adds accounts we can do a full save for a large family vacation no hassles of keeping up with cash to make sure we all contribute. It would be my main bank now but my current job only pays by check so now I have to find a mobile bank that does check deposits instead of direct deposits 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ll be checking back though for when y’all do allow mobile check deposits!!

Stuck Transfer
Update: it has now been almost 2 months and I still haven’t received my money. I submitted a dispute with the company and they emailed me back today to say nothing was wrong and they were closing my dispute. This company has STOLEN almost $200 from me. I’m not giving up. I got this app to link to my Even app so I can get paid faster through work. I transferred almost $200 from Even app to my One account and saw the money instantly. I needed the money in my Chime account so I transferred the almost $200 to Chime. After 5 business days of not receiving my money after being promised 1-3 business days, I reached out and told them to cancel the transfer. I was then told it could take up to a couple days to see the money. It’s now been 4 days since the cancel of the transfer and I STILL don’t have my money. I’ve reached out via chat 3 times and have no better answer than “we go by priority” and “there’s no timeline as to how long this will take, we ask that you be patient”. I’m never using this app/card ever again. I am highly disappointed and will recommend to everyone at work to stay away from this company.

Love One Finance!
I have been with One Finance since the early days, I first joined them when they were partnered with Fetch, and boy did I love that debit card, unfortunately it had its time, and my new one is a solid black one, which I’m ok with, I think it looks cool. But I love love love One! It’s amazing! Plus it gets better as time goes on! I’ve referred several people to One however, I always hear the phrase “yea but they don’t have real branches I can go to” or something similar. But I always hit them back with, yea sure but when was the last time you used/needed cash? They usually don’t have a good answer for me, then they hit me with well I need to deposit cash sometimes, then I hit them with well, you can easily go to Walmart and deposit for free! I’m usually in and out in under 5 minutes. I love One! Keep it up guys! I plan to be with y’all for many many many years to come!

Was great, constantly getting worse
Edit: after the latest update I can’t recommend this bank anymore. Every update adds more and more ads. Your actual money is now literally the top 25% of one out of three tabs in the app. I’ll be looking elsewhere, disappointed that yet another good bank is self-destructing. Thank you for having a browser app that actually saves your 2FA for 30 days like it says it will. Chime requires you to 2FA every single time in the browser no matter what, it’s pathetic. Also, thank you for having a clean, respectful interface, without spamming us with garbage ads for things like “early paycheck”. I actually get my direct deposit early anyway, but that’s a stupid feature that doesn’t actually do anything except trick people into thinking it’s a useful service. The app is amazing, very clean and simple, but with powerful features like being able to put a certain amount of money into a pocket on every direct deposit. This has been amazing for budgeting. I really hope you don’t go out of business like simple bank, they were amazing and I am very happy that I found One as a good replacement.

Beware this App
This company has horrible reviews on Trust Pilot. The company provides a horrible experience to protect you from fraud if your card is stolen. I had multiple cards stolen and found out by getting a text from another company. I immediately saw three transactions right in the row from the same place on my account that I never went to. Whats worse is by default your card doesn't work in debit mode for terminals so its super easy for people to commit fraud. I froze my card immediately and filed a dispute through their app chat. Almost 6 weeks later they denied fraud had occurred despite everything. If you want pockets/budgets from Simple look at Apps like Mint or Rocket Money that can work with lots of bank accounts. Look at some of the bigger banks on Plaid who have better fraud protection and avoid this app and company. I am not going to reach back out to support. This company has burned any good it's earned at this point. Its been a crap show speaking to agents who then pass stuff off to a fraud department who you can't speak to you directly and take weeks and provide most vague explanations for why they can't reimburse your stolen funds.

BEWARE OF THE FALSE PAID REVIEWS! THIS APP IS TRASH
UPDATE: I saw a review on here claiming that ONE is better than SIMPLE ever was. LET ME TELL YOU THAT IS A LIE AND IS MOST LIKELY A PAID ENDORSEMENT. No one in their right mind, who has actually used both apps would EVER make such a ridiculous statement. This app has miles of improvements before they can be slightly worse than Simple. And then miles more before becoming equal. And only THEN can they begin the journey to be better. No integration with Opurtun (Formerly Digit) No integration with CoPilot (a budgeting app) Customer service will put you on hold just to hang up on you! Not to mention the things listed below from my earlier review. This app had promise but then they broke each and every one over time. Their plan was to lure all of Simples customers but they never planned on delivering on ANY of their promises. Most of the features that made this a great app have been stripped away!! How is downgrading considered an improvement??? Credit Line …. Reduced Choosing which pocket for use with your debit card….. Gone. Auto-Save…. Gone (update: they brought this back, “yay”😒). Seeing all of your pockets and balances on one page…. Gone. WTH??

The decline. One apps story of great to bad!
The latest update took away so many features that made this app and this bank great. Time to start looking for another bank. They removed this amazing feature that let you pay from a pocket of designated money. This was amazing! So versatile and really set them apart. But now, not so much. I’m in the banking industry and can’t believe they would take three steps back like that. Just doesn't make sense. Also, they removed the ability to share those pockets with your spouse or others. This was an amazing feature as well! Lastly, they absolutely ruined the UI! It so difficult to use now. Before, super simple! Made sense. Now, difficult to get to features as well as difficult to actual use the app as a whole! Who signed off on these changes??!! Did they poll the actual ppl that use the app? I don’t know how they could have. Who would want to REMOVE actual great features from an app?? I get it if they were sucky features or not executed well, but these weren’t! They were super helpful and well done! Can we just go back to the old app and the old (read BETTER) features?? Plz!!

Great app - best rates!!
Wow, this app is amazing! It's super easy to use and helps me stay organized. I love how it reminds me of important tasks and keeps all my information in one place. Plus, the design is really nice and clean, which makes it even more enjoyable to use. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great organizational tool. And if you want to have a great rate for your savings!! **Bank Review:** This bank is fantastic! They always provide excellent customer service and make managing my finances a breeze. I appreciate how they offer convenient online banking options and have a user-friendly app. Plus, their rates are competitive, and I feel like my money is in safe hands. I highly recommend this bank to anyone in search of a reliable financial institution. I research and they are FDIC insured !! 5% APY for savings!! I moved good lot of money and had no issues

Was Great Till Walmart Bought the App
The app started as a great way to manage money and also offered a good Savings account. The pockets where amazing. I could take my debit card and change what pocket of money I would use from either a grocery pocket, gas pocket, or even a Trip pocket for vacations. Pockets where endless. It was great I had some family members using it and co-workers. I liked the saving account as it was simple to use. My wife and I shared the pockets and made it somewhat easy to keep track of family expenses. Walmart changed the app completely and took away all the pockets versatiliy. The pockets turned into savings accounts and now I have no use for this app. Walmart made it into a credit card type of account. You get 2% back at select places and it's only up to 50 dollars a year. Also, I will be taking my money out of this app and going back to my original bank. I think when they made the changes they didn't realise that people have options. I'm opting out of the bank. I would come back if the app went back to the original idea, instead of a glorified savings account.

$15 Cash back Scam
Walmart and One Pay is advertising that you will get $15 cash back if you use One Pay to pay for your order. You sign up for One Pay and then complete the payment using One Pay. It then gives you a $15 cash back that you need to “claim”. You click on it to claim the $15 and it tells you that your application was unsuccessful. So you cannot redeem your cash back. The next time you place an order at Walmart, it still defaults you to pay using One Pay. I called customer service and they explained that while we cannot give you cash back because we could not approve your account, you can still use One Pay to pay for your orders. Which means that One Pay would continue to make money from my purchases, but it would not be beneficial to me in any way. In my opinion the $15 cash back offer is just a scam to get a lot of people to sign up for One Pay that normally would not have. Once signed up they continue to make money through processing my the card transactions while they tell you that they cannot give you the cash back that was promised.

Please release my money
I am a victim of carjack at gun-point. I lost everything (my car, phone,…) On July 15, 2023, ONE restricted my account for my protection because of unauthorized international transactions. Those merchants refunded all my money. Until today, Aug 06, 2023, ONE would not release my money. Instead of transfer my remaining balance to the external account i provided at 1 time, ONE divided into 3 different times and send by paper check (7-14days) and only send 1 check per week. It has been almost 4 weeks and Im still waiting on the 2nd check. I tried to request the 3rd check last Thursday but ONE agents REFUSE to confirm whether or not my 3rd check can be sent. I’m a victim but i got treated like i’m the criminal. I have to set-up all my bills auto-pay to a different account on the date that ONE told me they would transfer money and never did. I got charged over-draft, late payments,… for trusting everything ONE agents told me. Can i please ask you to issue a check of my remaining balance tomorrow (Monday, Aug 07, 2023) so i can pay my bills so my phone, utility,… won’t be disconnected. I really appreciate it.

Scammers - DO NOT USE ONE!!
I got with ONE back in November of 2022. Everything was running smoothly at first until now. I was at work getting ready to clock out for the day when I decided to look at my total amount in the ONE app. I noticed that it was lower than the last time I checked. I scrolled through the transactions and saw Doordash -$9.99 all the way from San Francisco, CA. I’ve never even been to that side of the U.S. I made sure I never fall for scams, so I don’t know how my card got copied by someone. I looked on Reddit to see if anybody else had experienced the same thing and surprise-surprise, they have. So at this point, I realized that it was on the company’s end. I gave it another shot by calling the official ONE number that I found on Google and a woman answered. She sounded Indian from India. I told her about the transaction and said asked for the last four digits of my SSN. I paused for a second and then hung up. I immediately thought that something wasn’t right. So I switch to a different bank before my next paycheck arrived into my ONE account. DO NOT USE ONE. They steal from their customers and it’s run by scammers.

This is BAD, real Bad
I'm now looking to find another bank after many sudden changes happened since Walmart took over. I, like many others, was once a Simple bank member and switched over to One because of it being most similar to Simple with different spending pockets and auto-save settings we I could use to send money to one pocket that I used as an expense. They've taken away the option for multiple pockets, leaving users with only 3 pockets to use. They also took away their credit line which was a line of credit attached to your bank account. Now, since the app update it has not been user interface friendly at all. At first it was a little bit more extra steps for me to view my pockets through the app, but now I can't even view my account balance. My card has veen turned off to prevent fraud, but the bank did this after transferring money to an old account that i no longer have, and then transferred it back. I just want to pull my money and leave. It's not worth it. Simple did it best. One was next up but since the sale to Walmart, i'm very displeased.

One Card - Wal-Marr
Well I have applied for the card because after research I believe it is something that I have been looking for. With no hidden fees and getting paid early just as my other account is I'm seeing a lot of all the same things that it offers. The reason why I am moving after 12 years with the other account is because of the delivery of the most important part of my account is the cards needed to make purchases I just hope that this does not happen again with this account. I have requested replacement card 4 times and still have not received any of the cards. So wish me luck with this account. I feel like I have found a great replacement for the old Bank account. Also I am liking the fact that I can get a % off percusise off when I shop at Wal-Mart Thanks again. Later on to ya!

Direct Deposit Issue
So I love this app and all the perks that come with it. Overall this is an AMAZING financial app. The one thing I’ve had an issue with is that this app gave me the option to sign up direct deposit and to which account it should go into. This is awesome, however, if you choose the ONE@Work Save account your check will not be dropped into that account. I had to go to my employer to give me a cash payout a few days after I was supposed to receiver my deposit. We live in some expensive times and I know I cannot afford for my money to come in late like many others. So word of advice, if you use the ONE@Work App in conjunction with the ONE app, DO NOT sign up the ONE@Work Save account to your direct deposit because the deposit will fail. On my account at work there was even a notice saying “Failure to send direct deposit, please update banking information”. So just be careful!!

No spray for me
I love how One allows you to get paid directly after each order on Spark is completed. I’ve only ran into one problem so far and that is not being able to use my card at every store using Tap Pay w/ my Apple Wallet. The funds were there and I had just tapped my phone using my One card and it went through just fine. When I tried to buy a Cotton Candy scented body spray, the transaction wouldn’t go through. It froze two registers and gave us a “CALFORINFO” error message on their screen. I didn’t buy the spray that time. Later, I tried to buy my friend something from a convenience store and it wouldn’t work again. I had to transfer funds to another card to complete my transaction. That’s all tho, so far. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever with using my physical One card, so maybe it is just a small bug in the app. Idk, I’m no expert, I live here.

So far so......not good but ok
This isn’t the company or apps fault directly because they state it’s coming soon but for the modern age today. You need to have the mobile check deposit feature working. My company I work for does not offer direct deposit so I’m stuck with hard checks. When I make a debit transaction it must be instant and not take several days to deduct from my one account. That’s drives me crazy which has caused me to leave other banks and mobile banks for that matter. I don’t have over draft issues but once again for the modern age. If there is a situation which causes an over draft. There absolutely should not “ever” be fees. Free atms everywhere no matter what. These basics should be applied to make a good foundation and a good experience for your customers. Not just......ok. I will keep this bank for awhile and look forward to future updates to see where it goes. Thank you

Do not join this bank
The new changes have destroyed everything amazing about this experience. I’m sitting here trying to pump gas and because now I have to physically log in and move money around in order to authorize instead of selecting that budget….1. It’s robbing a significant amount my time multiple times a day 2. I never know how much to pull over for something like gas because each gas station authorizes different amounts, so I end up having to go inside and have the cashier select the exact amount of money. Before this would have been a click, and go. Now it’s 20-30 minutes extra every day because they have added back extra steps and made this incredibly user UNFRIENDLY! Look into other banks or go back to brick and mortar. I’m slowly transition back everything at this time as well. I’m bitter, because this was truly one of the best banking experiences, now it’s no different than anything else neo wise out there. They also are NOT responding or listening to any customer feedback AT ALL. RUN! Do not give these people your time or your money.

Bait and switch
The promises One made about their product offering when my wife and I signed up were great. Their big marketing push to welcome people abandoning Simple (because it was being shut down) was very effective. They promised budgeting tools (formerly known as Pockets) which were essential for those of us looking for a digital envelope system to responsibly manage our spending. They also promised easy sharing of said pockets between users, which was the only reason we were able to make it work as a family. Well before long they decided to limit those sharing abilities. And then they decided to remove them to a degree. And now they've just completely obliterated those features in their latest rebrand (the third we've seen in less than 2 years). This company can't seem to stabilize who they are and — more importantly — who they serve. And if you join now based on whatever their marketing identity of the week is, just know it will probably change in 6-8months. If you like stability in your financial institutions, run from this one.

Awful experience, they keep making it worse
When Simple closed, my wife and I decided to use One as it looked like a decent successor. Dead wrong. It was great at first - they offered a nice credit line of overdraft funds, and we could have a joint account. Now the overdraft funds are limited to $200 a month. This had no announcement. Our previous overdraft limit was $1800, so when they cut it down, we had no way of using any money. Now, this week, I go to move my paycheck into our shared Spend pocket, only to see that that option has been removed. So now you can’t even have a joint account anymore. Discontinuing this makes NO SENSE. At this point, this “bank” feels like a scam and I expect it to close any day now, again with no announcement. The customer service is practically non-existent and they don’t even have the nerve of warning you when they’re shutting down basic banking features. Awful experience and our last time dealing with an online bank. We’ll be closing our accounts and getting a “real” bank. I implore you not to use this service.

One fraud
My boyfriend had his card hacked. Someone used it on app purchases on apps we don’t have installed and never used. Last Monday. The full refund was put into his account. The next day. The money credited was taken out an no record was shown of the transactions. This is not the first time. I noticed money missing from my accounts. But there was no record. I made multiple reservations about the situation. An I get multiple stories. So I suggest for know on take screen shots. An we are looking into another company. We got this with walmart. They do nothing but lie say one thing do another. This company can’t be trusted. An if there delete transactions on our accounts to cover inside theft. That’s not good. This needs to be investigated. I’m not letting this go one. Until our money is refunded. We where not at fault we never had accounts with the companies the fraudulent transactions were made. I can’t reach them unless I make an account with them. Don’t make sense. It’s like a scheme. One better get on the ball. BBB is my next step.

I hate this new update.
With the latest update they have taken away some key features that made using this app for banking so perfect and unique. Now you can no longer create new pockets, just rename the existing ones you already had before the update. You also can no longer share a pocket with about user to make it a joint account, although if you already had an account set up like this you can still use it like a joint account, you just can’t creat another one, and now you also can no longer change which pocket is linked to the physical card, so it now just always linked to the spend account. Lastly you’re no longer able to overdraft the spend account up $10. These were all features I used regularly, and was why I loved this banking app, but now I hate it, and if they don’t fix these lack of features by adding them back I will be looking for a new online banking app to use.

We’re at the top of a very slippery slope.
This one hurts me to write. To be clear, my experiences thus far with One have been beyond phenomenal. 5 stars without question. But after the companies acquisition, the features that made the app what it is are being slowly stripped away. A recent email from the One support team vaguely outlined upcoming changes for August in the interest of "simplifying the One app" to "better support you". The update intends to remove and limit key features, pushing One closer to the every day online banking interface offered by most any big bank. If you dig a little deeper and check their website, these changes seem much less rooted in the desire to better support customers. *New users will be limited to creating just three pockets (previously unlimited) *Users will no longer be able to use their physical debit card to access their pockets *They are limiting access to the credit builder feature and removing it from the app *Users will lose access to the pay anyone feature and the send a check feature (both allegedly will return but I am not optimistic) *The ability to add money to the high yield savings account (3% APY) will be discontinued. This really feels like the beginning of the end for One. Im working on a plan to get myself, my friends, and my family back to our brick and mortar banks quickly in case this gets any worse. I hope they feel the backlash from this chance and right the course but again, I am not optimistic.

SCAMMERS! BEWARE! INFORMATION COLLECTORS! DO NOT DO IT!
I seen an offer to receive $15 if I spent $15 in the Walmart app. I order from Walmart all the time and who doesn't like money back? I signed up manually through the Walmart app. I spent $15 and immediately received a text that said my $15 was waiting on me. I clicked on the link to download the app. While being redirected I received an error that stated safari could not open the page because the address is invalid. I sent everything I received from this company to support. I was told I would not be getting the $15 because there was no issue. The best part was when I was being told this, I received another message to claim my $15. I deleted my account and my information. This company is also being reported to the BBB. Update. This business is not accredited and has received 191 complaints in the past year of which they will not show you. Look it up for yourself. OneFinance Inc. Just received a cease and desist email because I stated that this company was a scam during account deletion.

Use Another Neo-Bank
Long story short, if you want to use a bank that removes usable features in the name of “streamlining their service” then sure ONE Finance is for you… If you came to One looking for a bank that cares about its customers, communicating with them, and fulfilling the expectations they themselves set up, run away now, and quickly. The One CEO came to this FinTech’s subreddit a few months ago and told us that very little would change, and all the changes would benefit One’s customers. Instead of fulfilling their own expectations, they sold the company to WalMart and dropped the majority of its defining features other than being a basic, virtual bank. We lost the following features: 1. Access our previous Credit Line In return, we get: 1. 2% Cash Back (up to $50) at WalMart (and a few other places) 2. Deposit Cash at WalMart Clearly this did not benefit One’s customers. This benefitted the One CEO and WalMart. I can’t tell you which bank TO use, but I would advise any potential customers to carefully consider if they would trust their bank after making these barely-announced changes.

STAY AWAY –Another terrible banking startup
I was a former Simple user who jumped to One Finance with the promise that leadership understood some of the problems with managing money between partners and the benefits of being able to compartmentalize finances for planning. As of two days ago all those promises have been broken. I intend to file a complaint with the CFPB, particularly around the notice with the account changes. If you are finding this app for the first time, know that none of the information on the internet about One Finance is reflective of the realities of banking with them after the latest update, and that as a bank the most important aspect, TRUST, is completely absent. The CEO and leadership of this company need to be blocked from future endeavors in finance or fintech, and I encourage everyone who is having a similar experience to file complaints, and raise awareness of any future ventures by this leadership team. We can vote with our feet and reject leadership with such poor character, and still change the banking industry for the better.

Great replacement for simple
The pockets are very helpful - which was the main reason why I chose to go with this bank. They really help with budgeting. Auto-save also pushes me to save more than I used to, and I’m pleased to see my savings grow every day. The only thing preventing a fifth star is the ability to search your transactions. I move money in and out of my pockets frequently, and that takes up the majority of the transaction history. I have to search every line to find a specific transaction. It would be perfect if I could filter the transactions to just outside purchases, and not my organizational tactics of moving money in and out of different pockets. Or alternatively, a search bar. Perhaps in the online version you can do these actions, but given I usually stick to my phone app, I really notice this absent feature.

Got an iPhone 15 (iOS 17.0.2), app stopped working
Sepf 2023: Apparently One failed to plan for updates and phone releases we all know are coming, because even after deleting and re-installing several times, the app crashes immediately. There is no way to sign in from your phone's mobile browsers either. However, you can sign in from your other devices' browsers, and the iPad app appears unaffected. So let's kick it like it's 2006 and wait until we're near another device to check our accounts, I guess. There's also no way to report this directly to developers, and I'm not sure they even receive a crash log. "Report a problem" directs you to One's general help link, and I just spent a half hour on the phone to confirm this information and send a ticket into outer space, likely never to be followed up on, until some magical day that this app is updated, with a customer service agent who gatekept the technical side, but was at least nice about it and did their best to find answers.

Worst online banking app
I’ve been using them for a while because I loved the 3% APY when you roundup your spending. But when I tried to add money into my account after not using it for a while it wouldn’t work. Finally I called them and the customer service said “we’re closing your account” when I asked why, they couldn’t tell me! I never even got an email letting me know this, I only found it out after I called them. Then I called back again and they said my account wasn’t closed but it’s under review and someone will email in 1-4 weeks. When you’re dealing with banks that wait time is too long and it’s unacceptable. They need better communication between customer service and the back end teams. Also they shouldn’t have someone wait weeks and not even be so kind to send an email explaining the next steps. I’m going to Revolut since they have amazing customer service and really good benefits. The only thing is that there’s not a high APY and you have to pay for Revoluts premium account.

Closed Account without Notice: Veterans Stay Away!
I’ve been banking with ONE for a year and a half, and I was really happy with them. I’m a disabled vet and I had my monthly payments go into my one account every month. A few days ago, I received a notice that they closed my account. I’ve been reaching out to them for specifics, I need a reason as to why they closed it. They just give me a general answer. I haven’t done anything illegal, I use my money to pay bills and to buy my everyday things. I had to try to find another bank immediately and hope that I was able to change my direct deposit soon enough so that they won’t send my money to this closed account. If they do, I’m gonna have to go a few weeks without money and that will put me behind on all my bills!! I have kids to take care of. This bank really let me down, they should contact the costumer first and actually let them know what was wrong so that the customer had a chance to actually explain if anything happened. VETERANS STAY AWAY.

Always better off with a credit union than a fintech company
I started with ONE because of the high apy, but now that credit unions are starting to offer the same I’m going back. ONE is nothing but issues. They suspended my account because of “potential compromise” so instead of asking me, I now have to put my life on hold while I wait 2 weeks for a new card. Who has time for that? They offer an online card in the meantime which is all good and fine for online shopping and Apple Pay, but not everyone has that. Also my bank should never make decisions for me, that is simply not their place. My card actually was compromised once and I reported it immediately because I got a notification about a purchase made in India, and ONE argued with me endlessly and didn’t reimburse the transaction for over a month. Any legitimate banking institution would have refunded the transaction immediately. The app is admittedly great, the company itself is absolute garbage. Go with a credit union, don’t waste your time.

Walmart Sucked its Soul Out
I used to rave about One. It was the best bank I’d ever used! My friends thought I was crazy for going out to dinner and spending 10 minutes talking about how much I loved my bank. I now regret it. Once Walmart acquired it, they killed its best feature: pockets. Sure, you can still make pockets, but they’ve been lobotomized. You could have as many old pockets as you wanted and generate a unique debit card number for each of them. It was amazing! I had pockets for all of my subscriptions and online shopping websites and took comfort in the fact that nobody had access to more money than I wanted them to if they stole my card number. Long gone are those days. Now you can only have 3 pockets. You can’t separate all of your online shopping/subscription accounts now. It’s awful. On top of that, they made the UI infinitely worse and way more confusing. If they don’t fix it by June, I plan to switch to another bank. It’s such a shame to see the best bank ever’s fall from grace. Thanks Walmart.

They draw you in and spit you out
This app/bank was really cool at first and I loved it. I had $200 overdraft which was super helpful, and I was able to keep myself logged in but just use my Face ID to get back in. Now I have 0 overdraft even though I have relatively the same amount of money coming in and the app keeps logging me out and it’s a huge hassle to get back in. The updates continue to just make the app worse rather than make it better. It used to show you the overdraft you had available and now it doesn’t so I’ve had to reach out to support many times to keep checking on it…only for it to continue to go down slowly each time I checked. It went from $200 to $100 to $25 to now nothing. I’m just annoyed with it and I’m probably just going to switch banks soon. There’s also no way to add money to your account except for direct deposit which is also a bummer. The only plus to this banking service is the early pay and the card is accepted almost everywhere.
