I have lived in South Florida the last two years. Origin is only located in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. The ONLY thing I have missed out on is being able to deposit cash. That is it. The only thing. Any issue I have ever had is immediately resolved no matter what it is! I wish these guys would expand but to be honest the reason they offer such phenomenal banking services is most likely due to the fact they are a smaller bank.
Need to access your account fast in crucial moments. Don’t always count on it with this app. I’ve had several sign on issues where I’d successfully enter all criteria, including the extra layer of security — extra steps, only to have to do it all again and again, every time receiving an error that basically says “thank you for signing on, but you’ll need to do it again”. Then I chase that around five or six times only to give up and comeback later and pray it opens. The face recognition option should work every time and it doesn’t, about a staggering 30% success rate, before receiving “Authentication required.” Great bank but the app has been glitchy fetching my account.
When looking at transactions, when you click on a check or an item or a transaction, when you get out it takes you back to the top and not where you left off. All other is very good in my opinion with the origin online app.
I’ve had trouble logging into the app for years. Repeatedly I’ve asked for help and each time I’m told I need to verify my identity. Doing so never results in the app consistently working for me though. Today I attempted logging in 3 times. The first and third time I received an error message, the second time it worked. I’m able to log in without problems on the website so this issue is specific to the app. I have done all the troubleshooting steps I’ve been told to do and it never helps. I believe this could be an issue with the app itself rather than my phone.
The customer service center is my problem. Majority of the people working in the customer service center are not aware that the bank partners with other mobile banking apps to assist with mobile banking issues With other banks even though they are the financial institution that I am using
Just shout out about how good the folks at Origin bank are. They always are ready to help when you walk in the door and know me when they see me. I don’t get hit with the big bank fees and I get alerts on my phone if there are any big transactions going out, which saved me a shot time ago. I recommend Origin highly
The Face ID feature does not save after leaving the app and returning. Also the initial screen asking if I want to see the new features will not go away even after I select to see it again Otherwise a wonderful app thank you
My husband and I have been members of Origin for years, even back with they were Community Trust Bank. We’ve always received excellent customer service when doing any type of business with them. I’m now an employee, and I have so much pride in my job and company I work for. Origin is truly the best bank!
Best bank ever! Small enough to give you excellent customer service and care yet large enough to feel confident to bank with an FDIC insured bank. Been with Origin for 15 years now, even after I moved out of Louisiana, I continue to bank with the best!
The only thing I don’t like is. I like to pay extra on loans I have with y’all. When I pay extra, it doesn’t let you pay it towards just the principal. It’s inconvenient to have to call the bank and do it over the phone.
One of the best banking apps. Very responsive and easy to use. Not to mention the bank offering 2% interest on checking accounts is something to brag about. Definitely a bank of choice and convenience.
Once you’re in, it’s a great app, but since the last update I have had the same issues as others report with FaceID not saving and constantly having to cancel out the ‘new features’ screen. Love mobile deposit and everything else.
My User ID won’t save on the Online App. Also, today my debit card declined and wouldn’t process payments. When I called card services, I was told the system was down and there was nothing they could do. I feel this is unacceptable!!
I have had accounts at CTB/Origin my entire life. I have used the app for at least the past 7 years and it is spotty at best. Every month or so I receive a slough of errors every time I try to log in. Even with the extra authentication steps, I receive errors. I have to delete the app and all data associated with it and redownload it to be able to log into my accounts again... very disappointing
The mobile app will not let you see the password you are typing. It usually takes multiple tries to get in. I’ve gotten locked out several times because I could not seem to get the password in the system correctly. I love the bank itself, but it’s technology is not user friendly at all.
Did not know how to find Task Menu. Had to call and was told to press the plus button. How is one to know this. Information should have been noted in the help section
To reduce customer impact, it would be helpful to enable online transfers when multiple accounts exist. I attempted to do an online transfer but was unable to do so because it had to be enabled.
Just graduated so new to banks but this is definitely the place!! Very nice people and explain everything very well. They just all together have a bunch of perks to help you.
I started with this organization when it began as Choudrant Bank .. I’m almost 52 and I live in Marietta, GA and I continue to do my financial business with now Origin Bank. Dependable no matter where you are located!
I have been banking with Origins Bank every since I have had a Bank account they are AWESOME and very nice and courteous to me as a bank. I also love the app it keeps everything so convenient thx again Origins Bank.
This app gives me what I need on the go. And I love the mobile deposit feature. When I moved to Monroe, LA, it was their banner advertising that that made me bank here. I love the hometown feel of Origin.

Don’t recommend this bank, definitely happy now that I’m finally old enough to transfer. It’s just like there is always an issue every other day and it’s annoying and I’m just glad I’m able to switch banks.
I can log in and check the “enable Face ID” but after every other login I have to login again with user of and check the box again. And every time I log in I get the set up passcode or fingerprint prompt. But I’ve already set it up.
