I loved these games on the PC and so I have them on my phone.... the sound works for the Putt Putt games but both Pajama Sam games don’t have sound..... the subtitles work and I can play the whole games but there’s no sound even though the sound is on in both the game and on my phone.... I tried looking up how to fix it but I couldn’t find a solution... can anyone help???

This is my childhood

I played this game when I was a kid and it’s the greatest game ever. I love it so much and it is just like I remember it. The Pajama Sam bundle $12, is more fun than any other app I’ve bought. At first I was hesitant to buy it because people talked about sound issues, but the sound works as long as you have headphones or earbuds. There is no external sound but that doesn’t bother me. This is the most classic Pajam Sam game, and I can’t decide if I like it more than game 3, so I think they are both tied as my favorites. I was so excited when I saw this on the app store, I couldn’t believe it’s here! I’m very thankful for the app because the Pajama Sam DVDs (before it became an app)- don’t work on most modern computers, so the only place I could play it would be a library and that’s embarrassing because I’m an adult. The Pajama Sam games have all of the different routes for anyone wondering, so you get to play new paths when you start a new game. They are chosen at random so it’s always new and exciting. I was wondering if the app version was gonna have the different routes! Very impressed. It’s definitely worth the money. I play it on an iPad, and using my finger to tap the screen is such a big upgrade from when I was a kid and had to use a mouse. I remember this game well, so I finished it quickly, that was the only con and it’s not really a con. Thank you Humongous Entertainment for making such awesome games!

A must have learning game for any child

I am so glad I found this absolute master of a game on iPad again. Used to use it in my preschool on a PC for autistic and ADHD children years ago. This game helped them to develop not only their social skills but focus and concentration. But it is extremely good to develop critical thinking and problem solving for all children no matter what their skill level. . Honestly even some adults have difficulty with this game but kids can complete it because they will keep trying with novel solutions. Who ever designed this game was a genius because they understand child psychology and uses it to teach so it becomes fun.

Blast from the past

My brother and I used to fight over who would get to play this game back in the day on our parents old 1998 Gateway computer. It holds up very well, and even at 25 I was challenged by a few things. Very fun, and I highly recommend. PS All the morons who “can’t get the oars” it’s not a bug. The location of the mask, lunch pail, and flashlight are randomized every new game and you don’t always need the oar. If you can’t get them, it’s because you didn’t need them. Learn how to use Google.

Bug with Sam’s Mask

Everything is great about the game just like a remember it! However, there’s one issue. Just like the other Pajama Sam games, the tasks are randomized every time you play. Sam’s flashlight and lunch box change so you’re not doing the same mission every time, however the mask stays the same. The mask is always with the carrot every time you play. Usually, it should switch from being in the living room and using the invisibility potion to get it.

Broken

I’ve missed this game. I was so happy to learn that it was on the App Store! But I’ve noticed a small thing. When trying to get the oars, he doesn’t swing his arm and doesn’t jump over to get them. You just keep swinging back and forth forever. So there’s no way to get any farther :/ Please fix so I can continue reliving my childhood

Just like I remember it!

This game brings back lots of great childhood memories 😊 only missing a star because the sound didn’t ever turn on. Checked the game settings and made sure my volume was turned up. Subtitles were helpful to get thru the game but would have been even better with the sound on.

Great Game!

I recently downloaded these games and I am very pleased. I used to play these games all the time and now I can do it on my phone! I especially love how each game you play is different from the one you previously played. This is definitely worth the money no matter what as you are.

Just like I remembered as a kid

I used to play this game all the time on my computer as a little kid. I’m 20 now and I decided to download this game on my phone and play it again just for nostalgic purposes. I love it. It makes me feel like a kid again

There is sound

My childhood game just as I remembered it. Solution to the no sound issue: Make sure your do not disturb/focus mode is off and ringer is not silent. For some reason game volume is muted when that is on.

Lacks cursor support and storyline choice

This version of Pajama Sam does not recognize where the cursor is on the screen until you click, making it inconvenient as figure out what is clickable. iPadOS and macOS both support cursors, so this is odd. Secondly, there is no menu to select your storyline. This should be added.

Fantastic Game

I’ve been playing this game since I was a wee lad and it’s simply phenomenal. It’s great for kids but it’s also a great way to spend half an hour if you’re offline and need a game to play. It’s engaging and entertaining for sure.

Please fix the bug!

My brother and I downloaded two pajama sam games, he can’t access his inventory and my sound isn’t working. Perhaps something to do with the recent software update. Hope it gets fixed, we loved this game as kids and wanted to take a ride on the nostalgia train!

Sound Works! It’s Great!

This is the same game you remember! The sound works on iPad Pro and iPhone XS. The sound also works when screen mirroring to Apple TV. (I hope they bring this to Apple TV too!)

So close

Amazing, blast from the past! My only complaint is that it isn’t fully like the original computer game. There is no library option to get the invisibility potion, there is no magnet, etc. I was sad to see that but other than that, it’s great!

“Fatal Error”

Not the same game

I don’t remember the lunch box being in the water when I was a kid. You used to have to go down the wishing well and Otto need oars. It’s about half the amount of gameplay that I remember.

Can’t hear?

Can anyone tell me why I can’t hear?? There is no sound, just “speech text”. I downloaded Pajama Sam and Putt-Putt and there’s no option for sound on either one that I can see. Help!

I loved this game growing up so I decided to get it on my phone. It’s expensive so thought it would work 100% but there is no sound whatsoever. It’s a huge disappointment and I suggest no one download it unless you are okay with no sound.

Crashed at first, but here's a solution!

This is a wonderful game for all ages, really. I especially like the game in the gold mine, Nuggets, that is found in one of the side tunnels while Sam is riding the rails. Anyway, after downloading to my iPad on iOS 8, the game crashed really bad the first time I tried to play it. The touch screen hardly worked and the screen went black. I had to force quit the app (push home button twice quickly to find your open apps, then close the one you want to quit) and then I relaunched it. The game is very responsibe now and hasn't crashed. Thank you for offering this game for iPad!

Great game but wish it had the options of the original

The game is great. Super, super nostalgic and a great thing to be able to pass on to my own kids. However, I wish there was the options to select which scenarios to play like you could do in the old computer games. This would make it less repetitive if a child would like to play multiple times. The only other criticism I have is that the controls frequently invert which makes certain aspects of the game difficult (i.e. Swinging to acquire the oars to get your lunchbox.) Also, it is impossible to get a different option for the mask. I have tried too many times to get the couch option but it just isn't there, which is incredibly frustrating when you want to see that different aspect of the game. If these were improved the game would definitely warrant 5 stars.

Phenomenal!!

Loved this game as kid!!! It's congruent to the computer version!!! Crisp anamation, clear music, no lag, it's fantastic!! And that goes for all the games released!! Although for this one in particular, $5.00 is steep, I would pay $1.99 though. Please continue releasing more! Some in particular are: Pajama Sam 3- You are what you eat from your head to your feet, Spy Fox Operation Ozone, Spy Fox 2 Some Assembly Required, and Putt-Putt Enters the Race. Those are just my personal favorites. And to those of you who read this rather long review, thank you😘✌

Amazing

I don't know why people are saying the objects are always in the same place. I get the mask under the couch sometimes. Maybe they just haven't played it enough ;) The only thing I've noticed is that there's sometimes a glitch in the mine. The initial two directions you can go lead you to the same place and so I can't go to some places there but this only happens occasionally. Other than that it works perfectly like it did on my old pc! Love it
