Overall a good app. It’s easily used to connect to the dog’s electric fence collar and set the level for the electric fence. Can also be used to warn and train the dog completely separate from the fence. I especially love the flashlight feature! Only problem is sometimes trouble connecting to the collar, but generally the app connects fine about 90% of the time.
We’ve had our unseen fence since 2014 and recently got another rescue dog so needed new collar and the fence reflagged. Bernie Knight who is always very responsive took us through the training and showed us how to use the app which is super simple. I can’t recommend this collar and app enough. Easy to use and when I first saw it open I thought it was intimidating but it’s actually very intuitive. Our dog has adapted to everything very well and it’s given both us and the dog a new level of freedom.
The app does help me to correct my dogs unwanted behaviors. It works best in a “sting” approach, so already connected, waiting for the dog to mess up. I mostly use it for indoors since outside my dogs fence can get him out of Bluetooth range. Being able to reset collar functions is helpful so I don’t have to call my dealer. I have also lost my collar outside and used the app and beep from the remote trainer to help to find it. I would recommend.
I could not have had a better experience with pet stop as a whole. Everything from quote, to installation to training support was fantastic. Especially the rep who did our installation and training! The app works great, if you experience issues it’s most likely a Bluetooth issue in your area and not an app issue. Our 2 dogs are fully zone trained in the yard and we are now working on remote and command training.
Fence is the best, but add this remote option to stop jumping is great
Being able to adjust my dogs level from my phone is so easy. My favorite part of this app is the remote control that activates the collar to curb bad behaviors. I was able to stop my dog from jumping on visitors at the door, and stop the aggressive barking out the windows as other dogs walk by. My dog has calmed down so much since using this app and being trained by the trainer.
I’ve recently upgraded from my invisible fence brand collar to this Pet Stop collar for my system. The simple fact I can adjust a correction level on my phone rather than drive to a store so they can do it is a game changer. My dealer explained how to properly use the app to do exactly what I want it to do. It has never failed me.
I love this app! Of course it has limitations (Bluetooth distance, you must anticipate the behavior so you’re connect to the collar) but otherwise I find it’s very effective. After a few months I only had to show music the phone if he was about to misbehave! The convenience of changing the shock level myself is awesome!
We have had this for 2 years. The app is sooooo slow to connect to thw collar and often the behavior is over. It also dowant reach very far. If my dog is in the back yard, it will not connect. Lastly, the lastest update changed the way the data for wanrnings and corrections happen. I hate the calender and wish I could click to see the exact data a correction or warning took place not a date range. I really like the idea of the app but it needs to be improved.
This app is amazing! It transforms my Pet Stop collar into a remote trainer that works inside and outside of my Pet Stop dog fence. Now I can use the this when I take my dog on walks or to the park. My GSP responds great to the beep. My dealer is also able to make adjustments to the collar remotely so I don’t have to wait for a visit from them! Highly recommended
I love this app! It is great for seeing my dogs usage stats and I love the use of Bluetooth for both program adjustments and for a remote training feature! I highly recommend this manufacturer for several reasons but it’s especially great that’s it’s engineered and assembled in the USA!
Love the features on the app! Makes it super easy to get support from my dealer remotely. Also really like being able to adjust fence settings myself without having to pay for a dealer to come onsite.
I chose the app collar over the non app collar and I am happy that I did. On more than one occasion I have needed the phone correction tool to help with jumping on guests. I was even surprised when I messaged my dealer through the app on a Sunday asking a silly question and someone actually responded!
I have been using this app for over a year now. By the time it connects to the collar, usually the dog is done doing the bad habit. I have three dogs using this. When I connect to the dogs collar that needs to be corrected, it will connect to the wrong collar and correct the wrong dog. I then have to remove all of the collars from the app and reconnect them all to fix this issue. I’ve had to do this multiple times. I would really like to see this fixed!
do not rely on this app to remember the collar itself. everytime you open the app you have to reinstall the collar being used. there is absolutely no reliability. the collar and app do not connect for about 20/30 mins. if at all. your dog has now moved onto 87 other things before the app will connect to the collar. and if it does happen to connect, god forbid the dog moves more than 3 feet from you because - you guessed it! it disconnects and you have to start all over! so glad we paid extra to upgrade 🙄 when i called to ask why this was happening they told me to reset the collar by placing it on the dock…. of o have to do this everytime the collar will be on the dock more than the dog?! this is more hassle then it’s worth so far
Like the link App as an add on to my PetStop Fence. Lots of updates along the way, which I appreciate Petstop’s always striving to make it better. Love that I can tone my pups to get their attention and the night light is a god sent.
I have had this for 2 years and the app needs so much improvement….the battery in the app is not accurate at ALL !!! I find this very concerning. I paid extra for the added safety of seeing the battery life and I’m not getting that. Very disappointed. Come on you can do better
This app is great in theory, but does not perform well enough to meet expectations. It takes way way way too long to connect to the collar, by the time it gets connected it’s no longer needed. Also, the range isn’t far enough to be useful and it’s always disconnecting. Please work to improve this because it is useful if it worked properly.
The app works as described. It is not a remote trainer for distance, but does do what it's supposed to do. It is a little slow, but overall it a good product.
The fence keeps the dogs in, and the remote from my phone directly to the collar stops them from jumping and baking too much. Best thing ever for an excitable dog!!!
Thinking about saving some money and getting a Pet Stop Invisible Fence instead of the better known brand? DON’T!! This has been the most stressful year of our lives. The app barely ever works and continuously tells us “Invalid Pin” if it lets us connect at all. I could continue on, but what’s the point. DON’T DO IT!!
It can take up to 10-15 seconds for this app to initialize and connect to the collar. Do not count on being able to connect quickly in urgent situations.
Old version was so much better. With this version you cannot tell how many warnings or corrections your dog is getting. New version is this silly calendar view without even a legend to tell you what it means. The Pet Stop fence works fine but this app is totally useless
Must be within 15 feet to connect to the collar. Pretty common that your dog may be more than 15feet away, wish I wouldve had this detail before installing the system as I picked for the app feature.
I have had this app/system for about 6 months. It worked fairly well for spot training. I understood that it was only effective within Bluetooth range of phone. At least we got a warning that it lost the connection so could get closer and reconnect. The latest version seems very buggy though. No warning when connection lost, it looks connected but it really isn’t. When a spot correction is then needed, it gives an error. By the time you hit the disconnect and reconnect, the pet bad behavior is over. My dog seems to have figured this out! Very frustrating to spend extra on the option and it doesn’t work.
I’ve been trying to check how many times my dog gets a warning &/or correction. Every time I close the app & reopen it, another warning & correction shows up! I got all the way up 9 - with the dog inside the house in the room with me!!! I also uninstalled the app for a few days & after reinstalling the same issue exists! Please fix this - I will feel much better knowing IF my dog is going in & out. I don’t want to lose my puppy, because he wanders off when he gets out.
I am absolutely thrilled with the way the app has been so far! My sister in law came to visit this morning and my Black Lab was going nuts at the door. I pulled the app up and warned her with it She immediately turned away from the door and came to sit next to me! She stopped her nonsense immediately! Very easy and simple to use. Love it! Please fix the app I just purchased safe stop system and very disappointed with the app thus far. Lots of bad reviews of this app. Sales will decline. Fix the app!
I like that I can do close quarters training for my dog. Since I know when his behaviors are going g to occur I have my app ready to buzz or correct him. I can also turn a flashing light on so I can see where he is at night. My Pet Stop guy in Atlanta is amazing!!
What a piece of junk. It either doesn’t connect or won’t stay connected. We paid extra for the fence/collar feature and it’s horrible. If you are more than 20’ away it disconnects. By the time you connect to it your dog has stopped barking or digging holes, etc. We train our dogs to come, stay, sit, etc. but not digging a hole. The App should at least help out there.
This app is useless as it takes forever to connect to collar and by the time it does, it is too late to correct the dog. This is made worse with having multiple dogs that I have to switch between. Wasn’t worth the extra money
We selected our electronic fence because of the remote trainer feature. Feature worked great on the way old app. Upgraded the app and now it takes forever to connect and just spins. So disappointed.
Every time I need to use it it has disconnected. By the time I get it reconnect the dog is done doing the bad thing that I am trying to correct. Not worth the extra money. Go with the basic collar and save the frustration and money!
This app is totally unusable. Was able to setup and connect to my collar, but the next time I try to use it the app just hangs on the blue loading screen. Every trouble shooting technique has not helped.
It doesn’t stay connected and and it’s so slow to connect you miss the opportunity to correct the bad behavior. And now it doesn’t connect at all saying “invalid pin” rendering this app completely useless.
I love the idea of this app but it has serious issues or glitches. I am only able to sync my phone to it about 1 out of every 20 tries. Very frustrating.
