I love you photoshop express ❤️
I’ve been using this app almost daily for about 11 months now, and besides draining my poor old iphones battery, while simultaneously raising its temperature to rival that of the earths core, i will use it every day for a long time. It’s perfect for what I need it for, which is editing photos for a fairly popular blog I run centered around stuffed animals. I own photoshop on desktop and I still prefer photoshop express for my editing and it’s simplicity and intuitive UI. The UI and UX designers of this app deserve a huge shoutout (and fat christmas bonus) for their amazing work on this app! I have the premium version due to having a photoshop license and it’s a huge part of why I love this app and adobe fresco- i really feel like i’m getting a bang for my buck. I hate desktop photoshop with its constant crashes and complex and unintuitive interface, but this app not only handles its rare crashes much better and saves almost all of your work it also simplifies a lot of the more complicated things photoshop is known for. The combine photos feature is a master piece! The only suggestion I have is most likely unrealistic- it’d be nice to add more than 5 image layers when using Combine Photos. I’m sure resources are the issue preventing this though so I’m fine with it being 5. Thanks developers for your outstanding work!!

Product Review With Request
I've used Adobes photo apps for a long time and honestly think that their app layouts are Numero Uno. Lightroom, PS Express, and Photo Fix are used everyday and I couldn't do what I do without Adobe. Well I probably could, but it wouldn't be as easy as it is now. Now If I was able to design the final piece to my -Adobe Photo Maintenance Collection-, it would be an app that would allow the user to analyze any photograph to determine if that photo is actually the original image, or if it's been munipulated. An example of munipulation would be receiving an image that has possibly been overlayed with another image, maybe it's had parts removed by cutout, or something was erased. An app like that would be to cool. If possible the app would attempt to reconstruct the image to it's original glory. The user could just tap a fix photo button and the program would attempt to remove as much of the overlay / cover-up as possible, then it would attempt to rebuild the photo to it's original look. While your at it could you all throw in a simple -Focus My Blurred Photo button-. Just take a blurred photo that's recognizable and bring it into focus. I mean it's all 1's and 0's right? I'm sure you guys and girls at Adobe have got this wrapped up already. Cheers!

So much fun!
I’m having a lot of fun designing my own inspirational posts from my own photos. Adobe PsX makes this very easy with the editing of each layer. There could be some minor improvements, eg in the stroke for fonts (I haven’t figured out to cancel out of that once it’s in place without deleting the text and starting over completely) and the choice background color of the message in combination with the font color (which I would like to be able to make my own combinations for), or the spot correction that doesn’t allow for spot darkening/lightening, as far as I can tell and the spot correction that takes a blob from not always the best next spot over & creating a layering of branches instead of a darker spot in the background kind of thing. Overall this app provides a lot of excellent features. There are also other Adobe apps that connect into it with ease, but I haven’t had the need to use them in conjunction with this one. My concern is that at some point Adobe will turn around and charge me for use of the whole thing or have a monthly subscription for it making an older version obsolete, as is my experience with another Adobe product I used for years and don’t use enough to get a monthly for. This trepidation and minor adjustment mentioned above (maybe I need to check out the help section on this) made me drop a star. In the end Adobe is amazing and does deliver with its photo development apps.

It sure is cutting back my learning curve!
I’ve had the Photoshop software/app since 2009 but could never get the hang of it. But now, as an owner of a small breeding business in the age of TikTok where 85% of my marketing budget is digital, I was running out of options. Even though I had tried literally DOZENS of photo editing packages, nothing was having the impact I needed. PS Express changed that. They’ve taken Photoshop’s tools and made them accessible even to someone like me. The tutorials are clear and helpful and the little on screen descriptions are available for every scenario I’ve come across. And those assists are crucial when you normally fail at editing! 🫣 The only problem I have with the package is the cost. In order to access PS express and take advantage of all it offers I have to subscribe to a package that is packed with WAY more than I’ll ever be able to utilize. And the Creative Cloud is additional as is the access to the stock photo library for clip art etc. As I said, I’m a SMALL business owner and in addition we only have 2 (3 at the most) selling periods in a year, which means reallocating my marketing budget dollars to provide the funds to pay Adobe the other 9-10 months of the year. But it hasn’t broke me yet and I’m finally getting the hang of this. Hopefully by the end of summer I’ll have learned enough to utilize the options I’m paying for. Hopefully

Adobe photoshop editing app review
I’ve only recently started using this app! It’s been on my phone for a while but i didn’t really have any interest in it. My phone used to be my mom’s and she had all the Adobe apps because she worked for the company! Anyways moving to the review part of this. I found it to be helpful to edit my photos that I took either of nature or myself or friends or find cool photos on the internet and kind of add on to their beauty. I then discovered the discovery page where people share their edits. I love it! I’ve always wanted people to see what I can do with photography as photography has a very special place in my heart. I love how people can like your photos. It’s like Instagram but it’s not like Instagram. What I mean by that is people share photos about their lives or what seems important to them and whether someone likes it or not you don’t have to worry about people thinking otherwise. The thing that separates this app from any other social media is there are no area for comments. I know comments are like the danger zones in social media! It’s scary to enter the comments not knowing what someone may think of what you post. This app makes me feel safe and comfortable about what i post. So over all I would recommend this app to anyone from 9 and up!

Photoshop fix&mix worked better
Im so glad i paid $100 for a worst version because you guys cant accept how much work people expect to get a paycheck and just want to create bugs and “fix” bugs all the time how come people could just buy software on a cd and it would work for years now “someone is always hacking your stuff thats not downloaded on individual devices and is just on our servers messing all of your stuff up all the time” or you have another excuse for bugs all the time? And needing updates? Because like i said we use to buy this stuff at walmart on a cd and you would be able to use it for years …. I guess you guys just really know how to work backwards and you guys are sooo not lazy getting a check for “updating” … why cant i use a smart brush on here why its it a square … you literally didnt have to change anything … if i ever find my iphone 8 im never connecting it to the internet so I can continue using photoshop fix because if you can use an app and not be connected to the internet it is downloaded to your phone … if you never connect to data then the app doesnt know its supposed to be cancelled

Honestly
Easily a 5 Star app if not for adobe’s constant angling for more money and more user data, updates that reduce functionality and unexpectedly lock you out of the app just so they can demand your email address in order to track and market to you. They already had the market cornered and had one of the most loyal customer bases of an software company that they’ve built up since the earliest days of Macintosh computers. They are ubiquitous in the desktop publishing industry world wide with zero competitors in sight (at least once quark dodo’ed out). Now that they’ve introduced their monthly leasing structure for their flagship products they are not only destroying what they’ve built up until now but more importantly they’ve stopped cultivating younger generations of loyal users who will choose other photo editing software packages that have a relatively minimal one price tag. No ones going to stop using photoshop who’s used it for years but students and other new users will be using other more affordable options. Basically I rant to say that adobe decided to bleed the goose that laid the golden egg for bigger quarterly gains. Suckers ruining a good thing. But this app for the iOS is on point and tight, if you know what your doing and not just interested in pre-fab filters there’s an impressive amount of photo editing options here. Get it together before that golden egg laying goose flys the coop.

A mess
This is, I think, my first actual review on the App Store. I feel compelled to put my grievances out there so I can (hopefully) deter you from downloading this. This app is a nearly complete downgrade from the older Photoshop Mix for me. For all the flashy and new UI and “features,” you can’t even do something as basic as custom cropping or extending frames, (That I’ve been able to figure out.) leaving you having to then edit the photos outside of the app to get the dimensions/aspect ratio you actually want. Everything is hidden behind menu after menu, and figuring it all out is unintuitive and clunky. I shouldn’t have to be searching online for easy things such as how to custom size my photos- it should just be there. My workflow is mostly spent sifting through the menus to find the thing I want to do, only to have it not be there some of the time. Mix was also a bit scant compared to the full Photoshop, but it’s intuitive and you still had many of the basic functionalities to work with and get creative. Just stick with Mix and make yourself a burner Adobe account (if it’s still available on the store) until it reaches complete end of life. Then just do the editing with something else since Adobe is insistent on rolling back basic functionalities and adding bloat with every new iteration of their programs.

StopPromoting me to review this
Iv reviewed this app like 20 time and continue to get printed to(like there isn’t even a x to close the window it just keeps bringing me here. And it’s always when stuff gets worse. Stop asking me to review it lol I pay for the premium or whatever and I’m bombarded with stupid “adds” while I can only edit photos 10/20 at a time before everything I click and every file prompts “cannot be opened”. Reset the app and I can edit maybe 6 more before the errors come again. Random crashing as if I actually go on a streak of editing without errors, but that’s less frustrating than having to reset the app every 10 minutes so I can actually get some editing done... Also the update that made it so I can’t access/edit photos from my own phone, on because the app needs to now be connected to the internet so you have the option to post on their “social media” built in dashboard.... I don’t want that.... I want to edit my photos..... I don’t need to see other peoples work(even if it is cool) I need to edit the photos on my phone so I can download/upload/take more photos to continue the cycle.... Ask me to review. I do it because the close button is blocked, do a stupid review, go back edit one photo and BOOM REVIEW OUR SHITASS APP. Well it would be better if I didn’t have to review the app every photo I crop and and center.... plus whatever else I wrote before...

A mixed bag...
There are some things I really like about the app, and some things I really dislike. Positives: I really like the ability to create custom looks. This is a huge time saver... pull up a photo, apply your own personal style, and the photo is ready to save. I also like the adjustment tools as a whole. They are intuitive, easy to use, and cover my needs for post processing. Negatives: I hate the social part of the app. Every time I start the app, someone’s hoot pops up and I need to exit this to get to my photos. For social feeds, I use Instagram and I shouldn’t be force fed social media just to modify my pictures. This is a more recent update... you didn’t get that splash screen in the past. Ideally we should be able to disable this in settings. The other negative is the app can be slow or crash at times. This has happened for well over a year, and I originally thought it was my old iPhone. Nope... same issues when I got my iPhone X at the end of last year. It will freeze on a photo and take a couple of minutes to make one adjustment. This doesn’t happen in other photo processing apps I’ve used, just this one. Overall, it’s still the app I use most often for ease of use... I just wish the social splash could be turned off, and that the stability would improve... and I’d give it a 5.

Undeserving of the photoshop name
With affinity photo and other zillions of this type of app out there, this is kind of an embarrassment. To each their own, and not knocking anyone for liking it, but as a professional, this app - and their others - are not what you’d expect from adobe if you’ve relied on them for desktop software in the past. I can see plenty of instagrammers and selfie takers loving this, and that’s great - it’s nice to go beyond what apple stock apps and Instagram filters have to offer. 👍 However - Their scatterings of iOS apps meant to ‘add up’ to a pseudo-desktop ‘suite’ of features and offerings is exactly that - scattered. And highly frustrating because of it. There should be a much more robust amalgam of these apps for the iPad. Which the competition has already completed, so one must assume that adobe was and is always going to consider their iOS apps as lightweight apps for your phone only. Too bad, really. I appreciate adobe sketch, and I know that some of these apps have some perks and are designed fairly well, so it’s not like incompetence, it’s a plain and metered decision by adobe. With their pricey subscription model on desktop, and this ‘strategy’ for iOS, I can’t see them being top dog for much longer. Affinity and others may swallow them up while they remain somewhat oblivious and/or too profit-minded to survive this mobile/new-school editing software revolution.

Best app for amateurs and professionals while on their phone
I started using Adobe Photoshop in 1992 while in College to become a photojournalist. I remember still the awe I felt going to Mrs. V’s class. What incredible things would I see today? I try to hold on to those feelings in a world now full of altered images. It’s exciting, yet sad, that we seem to have lost ourselves in the realm of the surreal. I believe this app is incredible. There is no competition for handheld devices. Constantly improving while keeping its roots steady. At this point, I use the remove flaws tool as I used the original clone tool with great precision. If you’re at all confused or frightened by all the options photoshop has to offer, my advice to you is the words Mrs. V once told me...Just play. If I could give you any advice for improvement, I’d say look to the filters on instagram. I still prefer their options to any others offered here. And the effects offered by Carbon are brilliant! I’d add a Leica effect for selective focus and unique background pixilation and a hasselblad effect for a medium format look. That’s all. And if I could have my old clone tool with the choice of brushes...I’d be in Heaven. Thank you!

Best editing app ever!!!!
I love this app! It’s also free and I am so thankful for that because I don’t have that much money but I love taking photos it’s one of my hobbies. On this app u can add filters that look awesome. You can also add blur which makes the photo look great! This app is rlly easy to use and I rlly like it. Btw don’t like ever write reviews for apps but this app is the best and a must have for photographers or anyone rlly. I have pics that I don’t rlly like and want to delete but before I delete them I edit them in this app the I rlly like how it turns out and ❤️ the pick. I also recommend huji which is not rllya editing app but it’s a camera app, but I like ps express more. I high recommend this app fr yo. Get it lol. (Sry for any grammar mistakes I didn’t reread it cuz rn I want to edit more of my photos) Anyways trust me get this app u won’t regret it. When I tell someone and tell them to trust me on this I mean it and I know it’s true and they may not believe then but in the future they thank me so much. So u may not believe but just try and then maybe like spiritually thank me. P.S. your welcome for recommending it (ik that at least 94% of the people who read this comment will be so thankful, I did my calculations)

Please help🙏🏻
Hello, I know I probably won’t get a response but it’s worth a shot. I have downloaded more photo editing apps than you can imagine. I have tried so hard to figure this issue out and I can’t for the life of me. So I’m really desperate at this point. Can you please tell me how to resize an image without compromising the photo? PSexpress gives you the aspect ratio presets for different social media platforms to choose from. But, it doesn’t matter what I choose because it always cuts off my photo. I don’t want to do that. I want to be able to fit in the FULL size photo. If it means I could crop it into being a full sized photo, I would be willing to loose on the quality. And, I don’t want to put it on a white background so that the photo fits in that square because I would still be loosing on the photo. I want to be able to resize to whatever dimension I need to in order to fit the photo in different social media platforms. I know that a lot of these platforms automatically compress the photo for you but, I would like to resize it before I upload so I don’t compromise the photo, and it doesn’t get cut off. I have watch many videos yet, I can never get it. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could suggest what I can do to fix this frustrating problem. I would be so grateful!!

Has been my go-to for years now
I have used the free photoshop express app on several generations of iPhones. Before Apple had editing right there in your iPhone photos. But honestly, even since the Apple editing has been included I still prefer using this Photoshop app. I’m no professional by any means so I have no idea how to articulate what it is that’s better lol but. I feel it’s extremely user friendly and has great options and features/tools to use in the free version (I’ve never even considered the premium). And... if you have used any other photo editing apps then you KNOW what I mean about the apps just suddenly kicking you out. Seriously aggravating when they just suddenly shut down and close the app thereby losing your edits and whatnot. I have never had that issue with this photoshop express. There are no advertisements either like some apps have. Previously, I would have said that I wish it had a couple other features so that I didn’t have to go to another second or third app to doodle on the pics or add a text overlay etc. but it appears as if they have added these things now! So, before I start sounding like a paid advertisement lol I digress.

I love PS
I use this app a lot express myself by typing over pictures. What I find missing is shadows for the letters, better control over the alignment too. These are attributes that could be improved. Also, I haven’t found any way to coordinate the text and the picture after I type the text. Otherwise, this app serves me pretty well. I’ve tried other apps, but for me Adobe serve me the best. Although I find it a bit expensive, I decided it’s worth the cost. It gives me a huge variety of ways to express myself in a creative way. They’ve been in the business about ever since the dawn of the PC. They know what they are doing, the product is reliable and it works. But with every new product the learning curve is getting out of hand. I like to learn on the fly in my own projects, and an integrated Ai voice guide would be a great improvement, because I don’t like looking at some instructor on another screen with all their blah blah telling me how to do their project. They make me feel like a child, it’s annoying and a lot of what I learn gets lost on the way trying to capture the essence ce of what I want to learn.

Easy to use
Great if you have an online store. My god this shaved about 40min per picture compared to what I was using before for stark white-flat-lays. Basically you only need basic understanding of... using apps... and you’ll be able to mess around with this and figure it out even if you’ve never used it before. Honestly. It’s user friendly IMO and way less “computer person” (lol) than the full photoshop computer program, yet you can edit pictures and make them look nearly as professional, or just as, depending on what you’re doing (like in my case to make the white backgrounds- this app lets me make pro-level ones). If you just want a picture to edit your selfies, this is probably a bit more advanced photoediting than say, FaceTune, and you probably need to know how to edit pix a bit more than you do on that app. But for anything professional, products, to make nature/scenic pix pop, to add text, etc- it’s fantastic. Also, it makes the best collages of any app I’ve ever used. Hands down. I really never review apps, but I love this one. And I love the sister apps that go with it. Fantastical. Seriously have no complaints that I can think of.

I know this is a long review but still this is things beginners need to read and when it get fixed I will let y’all know on a new review so y’all I will give it three stars y’all I recommend it to edit you pictures so buy it y’all and support this app pls it is so much fun and you have to make it where you can play when you are off line so pls do all of this and sorry I been saying lots of y’all so have a great day or the rest of the day

Must have for everyone of all ages and with beginner to advanced knowledge of photo “editing”
It’s everything you can expect from Adobe! The favorite , to me anyway, is the collages variety! It’s not just squares beside each other, you got everything you can imagine including cool shapes like triangles or circles with as many photos as you can want( I don’t know that for sure , but so far I have used a collage with 12 photos and it looked awesome! The shapes also are aligned in many ways to make a huge impact and you can also size them each individually. It literally almost limitless what you can accomplish with these bold and exciting new look of collages! You can also add text with many options of the best fonts and can input them with “templates “ that are basically awesome quotes that you see on Pinterest or Facebook except you can edit the words, font, and color even the alignment ! Highly recommend !!!! I used it to sell things on offer up , eBay, or any site because it enables you to put everything on the first photo along with the price or info in a eye catching design that entices buyers to click to view your item(s)!!!

Pay to try it
If you’re like most people who finally bought a super nice camera and you shot something in RAW and you thought “I’ll download PhotoShop and use it to edit a couple quick photos” well just know that NONE of the features in this app are available to try for free. You absolutely have to sign up for the “trial period” and remember to cancel before they charge you full price and that just to try it. I never have liked this auto payment method because they are all set to bill you and take your money long BEFORE you actually get to try it. It should legally say pay in 7 days weather you like it or not IF you want to really test out our software. I mean I get it, it’s supposed to be good software but these days there are tons of GREAT software available for free and plenty of AMAZING software makers who also charge a fee and yes there are a few exactly like PhotoShop who want to change an on going subscription but honestly, I’m not a subscription guy. They tend to add up real quick and before ya know it, I’m not using what I am paying for, yet again. If you don’t like subscriptions, don’t use this app. If you wanted to try out the software BEFORE buying it, DONT USE THIS APP. Keep looking for something or multiple somethings that give you ONLY what you need or want instead of a ridiculous overly proud app.

Less free options with each update
This used to be an awesome little app. However with each upgrade they add more options that you have to then pay for which I can understand. However they change some of the options that used to be free to make you pay for them instead when you’re used to being able to use them for free. For those of us that might use the app once a month or once every couple months to maybe put some text on a picture to adjust the color on a picture it’s not worth it to pay for a subscription or to pay to use these little features that used to be free. And the worst part is they don’t even list which ones you’re going to have to pay for you go when you do the work you add the text and everything and then when you go to save that’s when they tell you that you’ve used an option that you have to pay for. That’s just a dirty tactic in my view. I’d rather see two versions of this app one the bare-bones version that is free for those of us that only he was at a few times a year and then the paid for version which is got more stuff. But don’t give us some thing for free for a while and then take it away that’s just wrong

Textual Evidence Taken Out of Context
Hmm, it asked me to write suggestions on how to improve the text options in PS Express, however, I am scratching my head because the title to this screen now requests a review. I’ll do both, I surmise. Onward! This document is a basic bar graph. I figure it is worth noting that while I opened fresco, I closed it once I realized it doesn’t have the bar graph function. Because I often find myself wondering what qualifications strangers have to write podcasts or even these, my disclaimer is that I am inexperienced in all photo editing & quite unqualified for an educated review on these topics: social media posts, memes & scrapbooking. I did find it punctual that this review asking me to comment on the type features in PSExpress was requested at precisely the moment I was attempting to airdrop my image to my iMac out of frustration… the basic options afforded for typing on my photo didn’t work at all. I offer little, but the reason is more from my hands’ neuropathy than fodder for discussion: Please set a a text box that I can format of my own choosing and not so preset. Thanks!

It's great, it is just not even as powerful as Photoshop was in 2005
The app is great, but it lacks so many tools that were available even on Photoshop versions 5, 6, & CS. From around TWENTY+ years ago! Like I said, it’s okay, but it’s far from GREAT, and I’ve had to buy 5 additional software packages that ALL TOTALED was less that the cost of photoshop, just to do ALL the things that I could easily have done with Photoshop in 2001, even on the stripped down photoshop elements! But if you like clone stamp, or the push/drag tools they’re here, so touching up dust hairs, or minor scratches are great. So is straightening something abnormally curved or vise versa. But you DO get a bunch of stuff your daughter would really love vis á vis filters for her Instagram pics, and TikTok videos. Also you can easily change a persons face to have bigger eyes, high cheek bones, and even completely different make up! It is good at doing what it Does. Unfortunately, if you are over 35, these “tools” may seem a little… “why would I ever need to cover the bridge of everyone’s nose with a line of butterflies?”.

Extremely Unhappy
I go to edit a picture in Photoshop Mix, an app I’ve been using for years now regularly, and had a number of work-in-progress projects that I was halfway finished with that all of the sudden today I open the app to find are vanished into the ether for no reason that I can find until I start googling the reason and I find that it’s been discontinued in favor of this app, which costs over $100 a year to use and is much less easy to work with, plus I can’t get my projects back still because apparently my Apple ID is not tied to any adobe account and so there are no backups for that work. There was no notification within the app itself, so I would have had no way of knowing this was about to take place so I could at least save my work. Adobe is doing this purely to squeeze as much cash from their consumers as they are physically capable of, and frankly they can get bent, after this I refuse to pay for a piece of Adobe software again as long as I live. You couldn’t force me to use this app at knifepoint. Open source alternatives will always be superior in the end and this is enough of a push to me that I will be looking to replace as much Adobe software in use on my devices as I am capable of in the future. For shame, I expect nothing and yet I am still disappointed.

Used for less than an hour
I used this app for less than an hour on Thanksgiving with no success. I should have cancelled the free 7 days then, but was traveling and forgot. Then I find this known charge on a credit card I don’t even use and had to search to find it what it was. They charged me for an entire year! I found another place that has an option for a monthly charge, but they charged me for a whole year. And there’s also another place that says to send a receipt and that was selected. But I have no idea where they sent a receipt. I cancelled it right away and then looked everywhere to try to contact them with no success. It has a place that says “help us improve” and when I click on that it says to put in an email. I searched for a place to put in an email in hopes of contacting them but could not find one. On my profile it only has a place for name and company. If I have to pay, I’d rather it be for just the north and not an entire year. This is how these companies make billions. They let you try something for free for a week and then figure most people will forget and then automatically charge you! I never gave them a credit card number so now have to figure out how to get all credit cards untied wherever they got it from. Don’t sign up for the free trial!!!!

Powerful app when it works
I love using this app to quickly edit my cell phone photos. The variety and ease of the tools are great and allow me to make precise edits to get my photos to look exactly the way I want. I have many presets that I’ve created and saved to the “My Looks” menu that make it easy to replicate my favorite edits across many photos over time- a huge benefit to speed and consistency. However, the app is buggy. It freezes or crashes often. It can be very slow and get “stuck” when switching between menus in the app. And sometimes, it just won’t open certain images. These issues have not been a deal breaker for me- usually shutting down the app and restarting is all that is needed. But it is frustrating and slows down the process when I’m trying to edit several photos. One other wish for this app: once I save a series of edits to “My Looks”- I can no longer see the edit “recipe” for that edit. I wish there was a way to look at the “Looks” you’ve created and see the edits that you used to create that look. Overall, great app- very powerful and gets used almost daily. Like most things in life, does have room for improvements.

Before you Install
Regardless what you do and what time frame you do it in you will be charged for this free trial and charged repeatedly. When you go to cancel what is now your premium plan, you will have the most difficult and infuriating experience you have ever had trying to cancel a free subscription. You will be told there are technical issues and that you must wait a number of hours to try again. You will conversations with “customer service” employees terminated prematurely and then become non existent as they will not even begin a chat just end it. You will get to know the adobe forums and see that you are the 1,000,000th+ costumer with the same issue. I can’t understand how a company chooses to operate in this manner, it’s like being in an abusive relationship where the other person refused to accept that it’s over and does everything possible to stick around. You (Adobe) create your own negative customer interactions, why? Are you expecting the customer to just get frustrated with your games and just give up and keep paying for something they clearly don’t want. If you read this and still signed up for the free trial and had the same experience I did, you may be want to just save your money and use it to seek therapy for your masochistic behavior.

Disappointed
In my experience the previous separate photoshop apps were superior in their functionality and now I’m being charged for the most basic of editing features that were previously free and have been around for decades. I adored the photoshop mix app and I mourn that I lost it after getting a new phone and cannot get it back. Unfortunately these are the kind of “updates” I have come to expect from adobe. The newer features that integrate machine learning are cool but how typically useful could they be if Adobe needs to put more basic features behind a paywall in addition to the new and interesting features?Maybe they would not need to try and give you less for more if they didn’t alienate customers with this kind of behavior in the first place. I’m sure this kind of strong arming and optimizing for the widest audience (having lots and lots of automatic features at the expense or instead of having fewer feautures that are complex and powerful in their functionality) pays off in the long run but it’s very disappointing as a creator. I would gladly pay a one time fee of like $25 to just have the mix app back but I dont think the current model is reasonable for basic photoshop on the go and it is less functional than previous iterations for my purposes.

Love, love love
Photoshop Express is a lifesaver. I used to use full version Photoshop back in the day when you could buy the full version on disc and use it for a number of years. I can’t afford a year subscription to do two or three photo resolution projects a year. I wish Full Photoshop could be used month-to-month so you could pay when you needed certain features then let it lapse until you needed again. They are missing some extra cash they could make off someone like me!! Meanwhile Photoshop Express is my number one choice. I like it better than Canva. I use it frequently. It allows me to do most everything I need and it’s not horribly expensive. I use it to resize things for various social media. I like the stickers and effects. It has about everything you really need. I make signs, handouts for my Mah Jongg class, silly things for the internet, cards that I can email or message. You can edit photos also. I can’t begin to list all the things you can do. Check it out it’s a quality product.

Powerful App but Pressures You to Buy
This app seems to be one of the best apps I have seen that gives you lots of options to edit your pics. One BIG downside is the constant pop-up windows that open after almost every edit you make when using the free version. I used the free version about a year ago and am now trying it again, and this newest version has many more pop-ups than earlier versions. I understand that developers want to sell their products and that is fine. It’s business. Some users may require a more powerful paid subscription. Moreover, free versions that may occasionally force a user to click through an advertisement here and there is fine, too. But the frequency with which pop-ups occur in this latest version is Horrendous and losing your work at every turn because the free version suffices for you rather than a more elaborate paid version, is down right Obnoxious. I hope the developers correct this soon, otherwise I WILL be shopping around for a new app.

It’s ok
Use it every day but that’s bc the other one isn’t showing up. the previous adobe all access version better for ipad. like fresco a lot tho - i think adobe needs to work on not only creating new products like fresco but empowering the community of creatives better. adobe bridge and lightroom now have many overlaps —- no one young uses bridge but it’s an imperative application!!! empower your community w knowledge. this isn’t about creating a super user friendly dumb down adobe bc you want regular people to use it... this should be focused on empowering designers of all breeds, whether graphic illustration photographer etc. LASTLY - YOU NEEED A LIVE WORK OR MOODBOARDING TOOL LIKE ENVISION FOR PHOTOSHOOTS and moodboards that can literally take the CD from an interactive call sheet where all members of the board can discuss the concepts before, during, and after the photoshoot, not to mention the features that automate create palettes.... adobe envision is the next frontier for you - it’s a creative lab that helps make big creative endeavors as painless as possible.

$.$$ A Month For This? Yeah Right
I'm not sure what's going on with these adobe applications. These ridiculous prices every month... Basically, there is another bill, which is too crazy for me, because on my device, I am limited to certain things. But this company will charge me the full amount, as if I received the full package, but I didn't. This is also because of the type of iPad I have. To be honest, it's definitely not super old, so I'm really shocked. IN AUGUISHING, I WOULD SAY THAT DUE TO MY PERSONAL USE AND EXPERIENCE, THERE IS NO SHAPE, FORM OR FASHION, THIS APPLICATION AND SOME OTHER APPLICATIONS UNDER ADOBE PHOTO EDITING SERVICE ARE NOT WORTH A dime! I guess they branded the name of adobe, especially the brand of "photoshop". People can really use their magic here... The company feels that they can throw a $ label on people's heads. But this is not it! There are many free apps that do the same thing, but they come with several annoying advertisements. It doesn't matter to me... I try not to be an extremely cheap person, but I swear I can't find any value of this application, especially. In my personal opinion, Adobe should be ashamed of deceiving people for this! This is very basic, so why not free? I'm still trying to figure out what makes it worth the monthly price? I will definitely wait...

Bug with Recent updates (~2mo's ago)
I held off writing a review because I hoped Adobe would fix this problem. I enjoy this app very much and it's a robust, useful, full-featured app. BUT....accessing it via the Photos app (e.g., by clicking Edit and using PS Express to edit the photo in the Photos app interface) has become buggy all of a sudden. More than 75% of the time I edit a pic this way, when I go to save it the screen will go black and the little "working" animation will twirl around and around. And it never saves the changes. INFURIATING. Often I will close the Photos app, reopen it and try to edit it again only for the same result. Sometimes a third time is the charm and it will save the photo edits. Opening the PS Express app before doing this doesn't change the outcome. I prefer being able to quickly edit it via the Photos app as the workflow is easier than loading manually in PS Express directly (when I have many to go through). This only started about 2 months ago. I have iPhone 8, 256GB, latest iOS updates. Please please fix this, it's been a bug for long enough. Contact me if you'd like me to video record this happening or for help recreating the issue. Thanks!

Great Photo Editing
I have always been a great fan of Adobe Photoshop on my computer but I don’t consider myself an expert by any means. - I love that you can easily cleanup pictures. - It works great to transform the wide angle lense —— This helps for amazingly clear submitting pictures for my reports - I love the additional touches it does for clarity, textures, removing blemishes, and the easy magic easer wand —— I was worried I would “fat finger” the image, but this app easily corrects that issue The only downside, which is more of a suggestion than anything else is if there was an easy “Add a text box”. ——Instead you have to scroll through quotes, finding a certain font, changing the color, then make it fit I just find it to be counter productive when you have such a smoothly made app. The feature as quotes works perfectly enough, but it’s just a bit more time consuming. It adds up when I have to submit 15 photos a day and my reports already take plenty of time to create as it is.

Business Model Flux & Selling Data?
The App is good but a few things have left me miffed. Firstly, changing what features are available after I’ve already paid for the App is very annoying. My experience: first it’s free, then certain features cost money. I thought: that’s fair and anted up and bought the features that were behind that pay wall . And now features that I regained access to after paying are now restricted past an additional subscription-based model requiring a monthly or yearly fee. I’m not saying the app isn’t worth the fee—it’s great—and I understand that business models change—but what would be fair is to either let people who paid already to be grandfathered in, or at the very least offer an obvious refund for those who paid originally and don’t want to commit to continuous payment. Secondly, Why do you need access to all my photos? Other apps have come up with convenient interfaces to share what is necessary. I’ve already paid for the app, do you really need to sell my data also? Right now, one must restart the app every time they want to share additional photos. And many apps have more convenient methods—it definitely seems like a way to usher the user toward sharing all their photo data.

My go-to app for quick edits
I love all of the Adobe CC suite apps but this one probably gets the most day to day use. Unlike other editing apps, I've never had a crash and lost work, it is extremely stable, and doesn't lag when applying changes... Unlike some other apps that are badly optimized as far as ram usage. I like that you can make and save your own filters, in other apps I can achieve the same look I want but if I want to apply it to multiple images it's a pain in the neck of remembering the order of settings and their intensity. With PS Express that hassle is no more. It's so versatile too, I can use it to crop and adjust before importing (easily, I might add) into another image editing app, but I can ALSO do the reverse and use PS Express for the finishing touches. It all depends on the task at hand and what I want to achieve. I'd give it five stars if it had layers, though importing into Mix, among others, gives me that option so it's only a minor annoyance as some images could be done fully in Express if it gave the option for layers. But it's a really amazing app nonetheless and I highly recommend it.

Unstable and unusable after update. Please Fix!!!
Let me start out that I absolutely love Photoshop and I’ve been use it for over 15 years. Unfortunately, some of us in the creative world are limited to update at the same speed as others due to specific use cases for stability. Generally, Adobe is very good at planning for these. Unfortunately, it seems with this version of Photoshop on mobile. This version is basically useless if you haven’t upgraded to the new new iOS. Even though the app will update for you, it will just crash upon opening and won’t even trigger the Adobe crash alert. I hope Adobe fixes this issue soon as a number of us are running on older systems. After the latest update, my app will no longer even function. Note, if you’ve been a long time user of the synced cloud files, those have also been discontinued this month, and could cause your apps to have major issues with syncing. if you have the ability to access the full version of Photoshop, I’d highly recommend that over PS Express. Update: even on the new 17.2 this app will Not run.

Photoshop Express VS Aviary
I downloaded this app but never used it because I was so used to using Aviary even long after it was no longer supported or available in the App Store. I got so used to it and it was easy to use and free. Finally when I did an IOS upgrade it rendered Aviary useless. So I had to start using Photoshop Express. It is a lot harder to maneuver around than Aviary but it does have a more extensive and complex feature set. You will get hit with a lot of ads trying to get you to buy the subscription version. Be careful so of the ads are like land mines. You may think you are going to use an adjustment feature and it is a buy button. Be real careful using it, but it does give you really great results. This app does give you a lot of controls, but if you are in a hurry to to do a quick edit and send of a photo I would say try and find another app. I know how to use the desktop Photoshop very well and this app tries to give you those features but if you are on the go and want to do something quick and 123 while walking down the street, this is not the app for you.

Happy to pay for the annual fee
The phone app version of Photoshop is the best. Super intuitive, simple, and straightforward while still offering an effective range of editing tools, filters, etc. The iPhone app also hit its target in terms of maintaining the same high-quality final proofs that you get when using the desktop version. Photoshop and other Adobe editing programs are GOATED. Always #1 in my book. Nothing will ever top Photoshop and related adobe programs. Photoshop was the pioneer in editing tech and will forever exist as the standard for those who attempt to create similar apps. Worth every penny, every year. Whether I edit 50 photos or 500, I have not once regretted putting the money towards this app. The price is unbeatable and significantly less than the other, less powerful apps that are available in the app store. Thanks for keeping your prices fair and for constantly adding new features. I'll be a user until I can no longer edit photos!

No longer works for iPhone!
Ok I updated my phone app and very little is open, it says I need a subscription. How is it that it all continues to work on my iPad? I remember paying a one time fee (on my iPhone) that opened the adobe suite in the past. So I can only edit on my iPad only and all the adobe products seem very integrated on my iPad, but not on my iphone nothing works and pictures won’t open between any adobe apps. and I am logged in. I’ve hit restore purchases and nothing happens. There is nowhere in the app to buy any subscriptions or purchases, and nothing works correctly. So I give it three stars because it works (for now) on the iPad and all my purchases are there and open and apps still work, but not at all on the iPhone. And you can’t find any instructions on what to do to get purchases back or where to go to purchase again. There is no way to email the devs in any app. No instructions for iPhone at all and what works on my iPad does not handoff to iPhone! It was great and now is actually worthless (as I do most of my picture taking and editing on my iPhone) unless I airdrop my photos to my iPad.

Always the standard
Sure, I’ll get excited about a new app with a unique feature or one with the standard offerings packaged differently enough to qualify as a novelty or disguise itself as a convenience - but they always fail to perform for long (usually get sluggish or think annoying commercials are what I deserve for using the product) and my excitement gives way to rational thought, and rational thinking is the antidote to impulse buying. But I win because while I may be out a couple dollars I learned something and I end up where I was doing well and knew the team on the other side of the app represent the gold standard in their industry. The only less than stellar features I’ve found were in the collage mode where resizing is not as simple as I’d like. Turns out it’s easier to delete the cell or whole collage than it is to edit it or find the help menu in a hurry. Every other feature and function is top notch and you can count on the Adobe team to keep it running smoothly.

The Older I Get, the More Analog I become.
The Photoshop CC Updates have such amazingly powerful tools which make version 1 look like a toy. All 173 kilobytes of the disk which I could actually own. The older I get the more Analog I become. I don’t think I need all the bells and whistles of everything that Photoshop CC is capable of. It’s truly amazing but it’s just not something I would use to be efficient. I still use PSCC but as the program began to grow into a lot more than photo editing. I find myself using PS Express more often than PSCC. Most of my work does not require more than PS Express and Lightroom and Lightroom Classic where I spend most of my time editing my works. I’m stubborn and will continue to use PSCC, as it is included in the Photo Plan. Adobe is the most stable software in my opinion. Whichever you prefer,…both are the standard of performance. Thanks. I just wish subscription apps would vanish. I have a problem with paying for software for my entire life.

Excellent App; Two Suggestions...
This will make your photos freaking sparkle! A sweet and free photo editing app that offers a lovely and helpful arrangement of filters, effects, and tools for your general and extra photo needs. It has a sleek design and I genuinely enjoy using it. It made my regular old photos pop within a few seconds- it looked like I’d taken professional photos- pretty impressive! I even edit HD wallpapers to my taste- super sweet. However, there are 2 suggestions I’d make: 1. The ability to save while you’re editing, I.e. ‘save progress’ instead of just saving once at the end. Sometimes I get stopped in the middle of editing to take another photo or just because I have to leave the app. 2. Allow users to apply more than one design effect per save. It’s laid out so that the editing process goes in order from filters/design effects, to cropping, lighting/color/clarity/contrast adjustments, to red eye etc. So you can’t apply more than one design effect per process- ex. If I wanted to add the design effect of ‘soft’ AND ‘spring’ I’d have to edit the first time with one, save it, and edit the new photo again to apply the second design effect- which is a tad annoying because often times I’d like to layer my effects. I usually just edit the new saved photo to curbside this feature. Overall an excellent introduction into photo editing apps- this is making me consider investing in more editing apps. I’m highly pleased with this :) solid 4/5!!

Photoshop Express or: How I Learned to Stop Supporting Adobe and Love Other Apps
What the heck happened to Adobe Photoshop Express? Once upon a time it was a free app that lacked many of the features that the full desktop version had, but it got most of my job done; whatever I couldn’t do on Photoshop Express, I did it on Photoshop Fix. Fast forward to 2024: Express now requires an annual subscription, nothing significant has been added to the app and whatever features they had, they made it more complicated. But perhaps the biggest insult is how they fully embraced the use of AI to create “art” by using stolen art from professional artists. And Adobe also discontinued Photoshop Fix and didn’t bother to tell the public that it was being pulled from the App Store, as well as rendering the app useless after 6/4. Hundreds of projects lost. Once my current annual subscription is up, I will be deleting the app. In the meantime, I will be using other apps that’ll take much longer to use, but free to download and doesn’t use AI. You’ve lost me and thousands of professional artists as customers, Adobe. You’ve lost sight of your target audience and have now catered to thieves. Shame.

People should read descriptions
This isn’t photoshop, it’s PS express and is strictly a very basic photo editor, primarily for editing photos for like social media and stuff. It’s pretty obvious based on recent reviews that people aren’t reading descriptions and then writing negative reviews because they failed to read and just hit download, and because they want products for free. This app is great for very basic photo adjustments and expression. It’s intuitive and easy to navigate, and provides all the basic photo editing one needs. It’s not Photoshop and isn’t for removing parts of images, if you want that, you’ll have to use PS on a desktop. Not sure why people expect everything to be free, it’s 2020 and people need to pay their bills and eat, to expect developers to just give you their hard work for free is plain silly and selfish. If you don’t want to pay for it, find another app full of ads instead of complaining on reviews that you have to pay for a product you’re using.

Worth the Learning Curve
While PS Express is quite intuitive and user-friendly, there is a curve to get through to become proficient with it. It is my go-to tool for quickly adjusting and enhancing, both my iPhone pix, as well as my blue-tooth generated Sony Ar3 shots. Like the desktop version of Photoshop, Express is deeper than meets the eye. It probably has more features than most people will find the need for using, but thats one of the cool things about it! There’s plenty of tools from basic pic enhancements to a bit flashy, for everyone! I can’t say I ‘m doing too much with selections/masks here, as I mostly am working from my iPhone (I also have it installed on my iPad), and using my forefinger as the stylus! Not much for finnesse, but I get some great results working generally on entire photos this way. For more critical work, I save for my desktop. I give Express 5 stars, but give yourself plenty of time to get comfortable with it. It’s worth the effort!

Better!
Update 2: Kudos to the developers who actually read these comments and care about user experience. The recent update allows for solid color backgrounds for collages however, this doesn’t completely fix the issue because of a few issues. 1. The color pallets for borders and backgrounds are different. 2. The color sliders for the CMYK and RGB are difficult to get a specific number on and 3. Even if you pick the same color, which is easiest to do using the themes, there is still a hairline border between the edge of the border and the edge of the background. I miss when I could just add radius to the border and not have to mess with the background. Update 1:This app was recently updated but the issue with collages remains. When you apply a radius borders the app creates a white layer that makes your border look terrible. There isn’t a solid fill option to fill the White later just patterns and gradients. The new update is a step backwards. The collage maker is not completely functional because you can't get rid of edges with out Mix. The text editor is woefully under powered compared to Fontcandy.

Used to be amazing.. but keeps getting worse.
I used to love this app and everything about it. I’m sure to most professional photographers it may not be much, but for me, it does all I need, plus some. I have used this app for quite some time. There were issues in the past that happened very rarely that I was able to just look past due to the updates and bug fixes. However, now it’s basically not even worth it anymore. Half of the filters don’t work! I’ll tap one (one of my favorites) only to see it puts it back to its original setting and doesn’t put a filter on the photo at all, even though it says I have applied it. Before it would just be a few filters and then like I said before, an app update with bug fixes would help. Not literally 50-60% of the filters don’t work. You tap them only to see they put your photo back to the original setting. And no, this isn’t due to a premium setting type filter either. It’s both premium and basic filters. This app is practically useless now, which is a real shame because it was me favorite for the longest time.

My staple
I’ve been using these Photoshop Expresses for years. I’ve been through 4 progressively newer models of iPads, about to get my 5th, & Photoshop Express has always been my staple. I like to draw & dink around and I mess with photos a lot. I have more than a dozen different photo editors, collage makers, and artsy apps. But still, none have come even close to what Express can do. Enlight is good but not close. The best thing about The Adobe Expresses is that they constantly update and add new features and mini apps to go along with the others. I’ve been thinking for a few weeks now that I wish they had better filters to work pictures that’s available while in Express Fix. Low & behold what do I find as I opened the app, a page showing off all the new filters available. Now I gotta go look at the other new stuff. Wow its almost like Christmas! Oh wait, timings off. 🎄Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays. Now go get Express.

Ode to Photoshop Mix
I was always a little surprised that Photoshop Mix was free. It was a powerful editor with an intuitive UI and a great cut-out tool. Once it was deprecated, I hoped against hope that Adobe would create a suitable replacement. Adobe has every right to charge for their editors, but I wish they would respect me enough to tell me that up front. As I bumped into the virtual baby gates and drowned in a sea of “upgrade to premium” messages, it was clear that my go-to meme editor was gone forever. Worst of all, the features that I’ve tried on the new Photoshop app aren’t even as good as the old tools on Mix. The way of moving and resizing objects in an image was fast and easy. The old cut-out tool was elegant and precise. Why change it? I’ll always remember the good times I had with Photoshop Mix, and I am grateful to Adobe for giving me these precious years. However, I fear that I will never forgive Adobe for what they have done to my dear friend Mix. Only time will tell. In the meantime, I will be looking for photo editing apps which, hopefully, contain a shadow of the wonderful app I have lost. So long, Photoshop Mix. You will not be forgotten. - the admin of a high school meme account
