Visiting San Diego
I was visiting SD for the month of September without a car! Female traveling alone and needed transportation. I cannot say enough good things about your MTS service!!!! I purchased a month long pass and was able to get any and everywhere in SD! However I could not have done it without the help of all your outstanding bus drivers helping me along the way, figuring out how to get me to from point A to B! Each one that I would ask a question to was always very helpful and knowledgeable! My main route was always starting out on the #11 going both ways either towards SDSU and connecting to the #2 or heading towards downtown to connect to the #10 , 7! Can’t forget about the trolley or the light rail as I like to call it! Having the app made everything easier! The feature of the trip planner is the best ever! Your bus drivers are very hard working individuals! I was amazed at all they have to do! They have to be physically in shape , the stress of it all! I love they get to take a break at certain times! The City of San Diego should be very proud of your public transportation services! I am from Kansas City, MO…. I have not been on a public transportation service since I was in high school but know your city should be proud of the type of service you provide! Thank you for helping me see your big beautiful city! !!!!!

My Pronto Experience…
I love the Pronto pass. I’m haven’t been a “bus/trolley” user, ever, for several reasons… 1) I absolutely hate buying a bus pass due to my influx of using my personal car for transportation. 2) The fact that your bus pass doesn’t roll-over if not used w/in the 30days (the month) it was purchased irritated me because I’d end up wasting or throwing away my “unused” portion (had I used my personal car). 3) Your bus pass is/was always too expensive for me to purchase (I believe it was or is approx $70). The Pronto Pass I downloaded on my phone and, at my convenience, I can load whatever amount I can afford at a specific time. See that’s important to me because I have limited funds. I find the Pronto Pass is allowing me the freedom to choose wether or not I take the bus/trolley and not worry about losing money because I chose another mode of transportation. And, that freedom, alone, is opening up my, otherwise, negative opinions of public transportation. I hope I conveyed my point, really not sure if I did but one thing is sure…I love the Pronto Pass!! Keep it going it works for me!!! Respectfully, Sheila C OMG I’m having a difficult time sending this review because of this Nickname crap!! I’ll try one more time…

Unreliable & clunky
Just missed the bus because I couldn’t reload money. Got an API key error - obviously some problems in the backend of this app. Tried restarting app, same error. Tried deleting and re-adding my credit card - a new error indicating broken implementation on backend. I can get over the ugly UI…but backend errors for an app that thousands of people depend on for daily commutes are pretty inexcusable. I can afford to be late today, but I feel bad for those who cannot. Guess QA and testing for this app are as high a funding priority as fixing our roads and making bike lanes safer. Finally, where is the long-overdue Apple transit/Apple Pay implementation? The ROI will be significant. Almost every stop, the buses are stopped a minute or more as people fumble around with their pronto pass. Best part of Apple Pay/Google pay: no need to get an unreliable app with a pass that doesn’t work, or wait in long lines at kiosks that are vandalized and barely functional. Lack of investment in this regard accumulates in wasted time and fuel and ultimately lost revenue when drivers get fed up and wave passengers on board. MTS: get with the times! Your fare collection methods are slightly better than before, but still lagging 10 years behind.

New update for app
A very useful update would be to allow the card on the “use”screen to be anyone of the cards registered in the account. For two reasons as I experienced one today. My kids and I are using the city bus a lot this summer. We all have our monthly passes. I have a student pass from the Community college I attend. My pass is registered in my pronto account. Today I forgot my pass at home. I did not realize until the bus had arrived. I was not able to swap my college pass into the “use” screen to scan it. For this reason I suggest an update. The 2nd reason, posing a scenario that my kids go to school, but my sons bus falls out of his. When he gets to the bus pass to get the bus back home, he then will not be able to ride the bus. If my children could access there bus pass on pronto AND scan it then the app serves as a great back up in case of accidental lost/damage to physical card. Perhaps limit the times you can use the “accidental” feature to once a month. Or make the bus pass easy to use if we take a picture of it. And then be able to use the picture to ride the bus. Something should be available to apply in case of emergencies.

Pronto Impressions
I like the app. There is a lot to it, and I’m still not completely comfortable using all of its features, but I do believe it has enough features for you to be able to find out anything you need to know. It is really convenient to have the app on my iPhone and use the value added feature to just scan my phone under the machine on the bus. Since it does your bookkeeping for you, you always know how much is in your account, and never feel as though you’re not taking the bus often enough to justify buying a monthly pass, since your balance carries over month to month. I need a tutor to schedule a trip where multiple buses are involved at this point, though. All in all, I am happy with the Pronto system.

Ultimate Failure
I just changed phone recently and tried to transfer my existing virtual card from my old phone to my new phone. When I clicked on ‘transfer existing card’ it prompted me that transfer failed and blocked my card so I couldn’t use it anymore. I called the Pronto help service, and they helped me went through the same failed transfer, blocked card, unblock card on their end, failed transfer again. It happened 7 times during my call to help service. In the end, I gave up. Now my card is blocked and I can’t unblock it from my end. No more purchases can be made. Honestly, this app is such an amazing failure that it should be put into a textbook of most classical programming disasters. Have the programmers even looked at people’s complaints? Your app is supposed to be the backbone of public transport, not the one who denies it. I rarely write such a harsh comment, but this is just ridiculous because CompassCloud was so well developed compared to this one. You can do it, but you choose not to.

This app works good until it doesn't
Today I was waiting for a bus and opened the app to load some money. But there was a blank screen telling me the card was not attached. I decided it was some minor failure and pressed "Link the card" button. And surprise-surprise - an error message telling me I can't. Then I wanted to check the "Use" page to see my QR card, and there was another error message: "The time on your device is wrong". Should I mention it wasn't? The only option to fix it was to reinstall the app. By the way, how come users have to link the existing digital pass themselves? Sure, it's only one button, but still, shouldn't it be, you know, linked to the account and added automatically? The same thing happened to my mum too. Long story short, I'm extremely frustrated. Good thing I checked the app in advance and had $2,5 in cash prepared just in case, but what about letting the QA team do their job?

Amazing Failure
There are almost no words for how terrible this app is. The navigation and design is something that I’d expect from a clueless student attempting their first ever app. Pronto is constantly crashing, timing out and failing to reload, or doesn’t bring you to the next screen despite lots of clicking… Looking at you, Trip Planner “search” function. As such, you cannot get to the point where you can actually purchase your ride. The alternatives are to pay additional for the standard $15 day pass, which is pricier than any of the one way or round trip options had the Trip Planner actually worked, or purchase a monthly pass which is significantly pricier. At a minimum, the app needs to be functional for the community to utilize it and public transit at large. This app is a downgrade from the previous Compass app, and makes taking public transit even more challenging than it already is. If this app is the county’s indirect way of advocating for cars, I would consider this a great success.

Should be easy, but doesn’t work
There was a lot of confusion to use the app when exiting the coaster or trolleys. No one else was tapping out at the stop, though the app tells us to. When i tried to tap out at the coaster, it charged me for an additional one way ticket back home. I confronted the operator, and he said it shouldn’t do that. I called customer service, and they were only able to see a single charge from the entire day, despite me being charged 5 separate times on the use history. Overall, this product is not ready for use. They referred me to another phone number, but it’s not worth spending hours on the phone to get my 6.50 back. Will probably just drive my car downtown next time instead.

I was disappointed it replaced Compass but now I’m happy
It’s easy to use, but the best part was the customer service. I had a problem because I created my account on my iPad but the app only operates on one device. Transferring to my iPhone screwed the account (maybe a stars reduction). I called customer service and although I had a 5-7 minute wait, the service agent spent a lot of patient time helping to correct the issue. And after that he also change our profile from Adult to Senior ( yes, we are seniors). I’ll look past the minor app issues to recognize the great support.

MTS Every App Worse Than The Last
Another failure. Can’t transfer my compass account. Have to create a whole new account, except it won’t accept my registration, except it accepted my registration without acknowledging it, but then later it sent me an acknowledgment via email. Can’t register a credit card to make payments so I can use the app. Have been trying for three days. No event passes. Finally just had to buy two one-way tickets at the kiosk at the station to travel. No event ticket or day-pass available at the kiosk either. And about the web site. Try to add a payment method online and if it fails, and it did, many times, it doesn’t clear the card information and leaves it on display for anyone using a public computer can see. You’d think after all the failures with the other apps they’d try to work out the kinks before releasing the app to the public, and this with the new Blue Line extension. What a embarrassment for the city.

Don’t let the name “Pronto” fool you
This is a pretty clunky app. It uses an old fashioned pay-forward system with a minimum $10 deposit. So if you only need one $3.25 adult senior ticket, you’re going to throw $6.75 down the drain. The app defaults to full fare adult, so if you qualify for a discount you can’t just put that in your profile, you have to fill out a form online or call into a call center, then it takes 2+ days to update your account. Meanwhile, it appears to disable your app, so instead of “Fares Available” reading “Adult,” it says, “No available products.” So much for “Pronto,” which means “rapidly” in Spanish. You can’t pay with secure mobile payment systems, so if they ever get hacked, you’ll likely be an identity theft victim. If you make connections to other transit systems, this one isn’t compatible with any of them, so you’ll need to download those apps and figure out their fare scheme individually. It’s a real barrier to use public transit.

Trip planner has some oddities
I haven’t used the virtual card feature but the rest of the Pronto card management seems to work fine. The Trip Planner has some quirks though. From where I am (Del Mar) I might be directed to take the 101 bus either northward to Solana Beach train station or southwards towards UCSD or UTC. The Trip Planner summarizes either direction on this bus as “101 -> UTC Transit Center” whether or not I need the bus headed in that direction or the one headed towards Oceanside. I have to further look into the Trip details to suss out the correct direction, a task that becomes more difficult when I’m in an area that I don’t know really well, i.e. when I really want a lot of help from the Trip Planner. Updates to this app seem few and far between. I hope the developers were not temporary interns and there is staff on hand to effect improvements.

where’s ApplePay? why the usage reminders?
Why has the app suddenly started putting up a screen “teaching” me how to use the app at least once a week? This is annoying when I have a line of people behind me at the validator or a transit cop standing over me demanding to see my pass. It would also be very nice if you could integrate with ApplePay so I don’t have to hunt down my plastic credit card to set up my account or reload my card while I’m waiting at a sketchy bus stop. And if you could email us a reminder when our account is getting low or our card on file is close to expiring. Finally, could you please release a real iPad app. That way we could see maps and use transit planner in full screen instead of squished down into pseudo-iPhone mode.

Not Too Bad; Could Be Much Better With Simple Fixes
Fairly easy to use but could be a lot clearer how exactly to spend fares with regard to the scanners at the station and how day passes work with multiple charges in a 24 hour period. Also, Apple Wallet compatibility is listed in the app details but I couldn’t find any way to actually use Apple Wallet or Apple Pay with it. For anyone searching for this info, to use the equivalent of a day pass ticket, you simply scan each time you ride (excluding transfers within the allowed two hour period after a scan) and your fare will be automatically upgraded and capped at the daily limit once you’ve reached it as shown in the “Earn As You Go” section in the app.

Great app for transit fares!
I’ve been traveling the California coast and found that the Pronto app is one of the best local apps for transit fare payment. My second favorite for paying transit fares was in Monterey where you could simply use your credit card and it would track the swipes with your card, maxing out daily fare at the day pass rate. I like that pronto does something similar although a nice enhancement would be to include Apple Pay as an option or a way to not have to pre load $5 or more onto the pass at a time.

Changed my mind but still fix your bugs or new rules for drivers
Honestly it would be a 1 if it didn’t get me places. The bus leaves way too early so I’m running to get there on time but it left. And don’t say go earlier, because I literally can’t. Also on the app it said I had time, so I assumed I would be good but it said 2 minutes left but then the bus had left already. At least put the actual time the bus will get there. Plus the service with the bus and the drivers has been bad and crappy. My idea is fix the bug or tell your drivers if your early to a stop wait until the time your supposed to be there so people can at least get a chance. The other issue though I don’t think could be fixed.

App is great but
After using the Pronto app since it first launched, it is easy to load your virtual card, see what your balance is, and load it if you see that the balance is low. My only issue is that it is so hard to actually use the scan system either in the bus and for the scanners by the train stations. It takes a while to get it correctly lined up with the scanner to read and then sometimes it feels like I would take to much time on the bus, wasting the bus drivers and passengers time. I still have not found the sweet spot to get it scanned correctly without taking too much time.

Nice App for Local San Diego Transit
The app is free for kids up to 18 to learn how to use public transit, get around (at least until end Sep 2024). You can add money directly on app and the directions are good from point A to point B. They also are accurate in reporting actual train/trolley/bus delays. I appreciate all the work they put into this project as an occasional user going back 3 years. They are improving it all the time.

Broken app
Account signup is broken: 1. It forces you to enter security questions. If you cannot remember the answers, you are permanently locked out. You cannot reset your password without this. This doesn’t follow recommended security practices by security experts and is outdated. If I can access the corresponding email account, I should be able to reset my password. 2. I tried an alternate email address with a plus sign, but it says my email is invalid. It’s not. You should allow me to enter my email address and not block it because it has a plus sign. No other service has issues with a plus sign. /// all this forced me to pay cash, which doesn’t have free transfers, so the broken app cost me $5 in lost fares so far today

Trip Planner Doesn't Work
Overall the app is really convenient, it gives the nearby routes and exact arrival times, allows you to add funds to your card and can be used in place of a physical card which is REALLY nice. However the Trip Planner, which i always need because I don't know the routes yet, doesn't work- the app shuts down completely every time i tap "Search", so i still have to either call or use the MTS website to first figure out what routes i need, then go back to the app to see what time they're coming, and that's a pain. If the Trip Planner was functional it would be 5 stars!

A help file would help
I think that I have my account on the app setup, the proof will be when I try it on a bus, thank God I also have physical Pronto card. Now I had to bulldoze my way into setting it up because I couldn’t find any help or FAQ on the app, a link to the Pronto website is not the way to do it even if app help existed there. For those of you having trouble I think that the best thing to do is set up your account using a web browser on a Mac or at least an iPad. Then you can log into the app with email and password, fire up the bulldozer and shove your way through the settingd get your virtual card set up. I am disappointed in the programmers in that my profile is not complete on the app. A well designed system should bring over my address and phone number that is included on the website instead of just my name. Of course this is version #1 and it should improve over time, but a professional designer would test the system by observing non tech people using it.

Not a great transit app
As a full time public transit user in San Diego, this app leaves a lot to be desired. I have no way of knowing when I need to renew my Picture ID Pronto Card unless I call customer service and they look me up. There should be a way to see this on the app itself, because it’s definitely not on the physical card. Also when this was introduced in San Diego it was advertised as having the similar “convenience of a Starbucks card app”. That’s 100% misleading because the app and the physical card don’t mirror each other. It’s 2022, there should be a way for the mirroring to take place. Pronto clearly needs to hire new development engineers.

Confusing and complicated process
After creating an account, it goes link a card. Enter cc did not work. Surf around and find add payment method. Ok. Then you cannot buy a ticket. You have to create a virtual card( what is the value of that) and load money into it. No help really available. Glad i found a traveller who help me Quite complicated process. Mts responded to my review. Thank you for it. Well, perhaps you could make app more user friendly so we do not need many page of faq to use it. Perhaps also just ability to just purchase a ticket without the extra step needed to tranfer money into a “wallet”

Poorly thought out payment system
Worst bus payment system I’ve ever used. I put $20 on my card. When a friend and I got I the bus I gladly wanted to pay for my friend- I was told I cannot use my $20 to swipe my friend. My friend did not have a Pronto card since they were visiting for one day. I already paid for my trip but was told we had to leave the bus since my friend had “no way to pay”. Again, I had $20 on my card, so it makes no sense that I can’t use my money how I want. Also wasted $2.50 in fare since I had already paid for myself. Please rethink this system, as no other transit system disallows you from using your own fare as you wish.

Pronto needs to fix this
This is really bad, so many people are complaining about how every time they go into trip planner and try to search something in it just crashes. This is happening to me too. Pronto if you’re reading this please fix this. This has been going on for the past few months now and it hasn’t changed. It is starting to annoy me and I can’t ever figure out where to go, that’s why I used trip planner to help me. It also helps me when I’m trying to figure out when the bus arrives and it is really helpful. I will change my review to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if you fix it

Everyone needs to register their own accounts
It is a stupid design that one cannot use their account for multiple people. For group travelers to this city we just prefer to register one account to be shared with everyone. Because pronto didn't allow multiple scans during one ride, the bus driver was nice enough to let us all on the bus with only one person paying the fare. This is a quite embarrassing shame design. If you allow account sharing you can save millions of dollars for the beautiful city of San Diego.

If you want an app without a QA team…
You end up with this, which barely works. Where is the QA or user testing? I would be embarrassed to release a product so broken and clunky. Couldn’t add a payment card after signing up the first time. Had to uninstall and reinstall and then was able to add a card. Of course when I did this, my virtual card was no longer recognized as part of this device and I had to “transfer” the card to myself. Am I surprised that SD switched from something that worked fine to this? No, of course not. I am eager to see how many other bugs I find in the first hour of use.

easier to pay fair vs cash, but …
five. Stars for ability to load money on the app and use it at the trolley. Downgrade one or two stars if you want to get a senior or student discount as you have to call the transit authority during business hours, one star if you want to use it to plan a trip because it crashes as soon as you do the search feature.

How do you use this app?
I’m sure this app is easy to use for the people who designed it and the people that have been grandfathered in from some previous system. As a person who is learning it from scratch, it is a real puzzle. There are literally no instructions in the app, and it’s not intuitive. Worst of all there is no visual feedback telling you that you are clear to ride the train. Here’s the process as far as I can tell…. Add money, scan at a station, hear a beep (hopefully you are not hearing impaired), see nothing has changed on the app, get on the train, then hope you don’t get a ticket from a transit cop.

Not a real time app
it’s not an active real time app for bus tracking and schedules. It just looks like it is. NextBus tracks neither the bus nor the schedule—I have no idea what it’s ‘tracking’. I ‘watched’ the bus approach, arrive and depart on nextbus but never saw a physical bus. Then the physical bus came 5 mins later on schedule that wasn’t in nextbus. Trip planner: big line closures this weekend on the trolley. No closures are reflected in the trip planner, Nextbus shows the trolley running along, there isn’t even an alert about closures. Some of the ‘alerts’ ended over two months ago so they aren’t keeping this up to date by months at least.

Archaic app for a modern metro
It is ridiculous that I had to jump through so many hoops to pay for my trolley ride. Having to make an account and then waiting up to 24hrs to be verified, I couldn’t even pay for my ride until days later out of guilt. If we want people to pay for transit we should make it as easy as possible. If it could be integrated across all of California instead of each metro area having their own system that would be best. Until then SD should rip off LA or the Bay Areas system they are quick and easy

So simple So fast
So simple and fast to get a ticket. Even if the trolley pulls up as you get there…. Just a quick scan of your app and you’re good to jump on and go. Love the built-in max charge; so if your going multiple places it caps your charge at the appropriate day pass….. It really feel like it’s looking out for my best interest. Love it!!

Fair Tripper Not Worth the Hassle
This is not convenient for taking a family to the SD County Fair. Every person has to set up their own account, on their own device, with the own iCloud account. Which means you have to purchase tickets one at a time. Adding your credit card information into each account. Sharing an iCloud account cause the app to think it’s the same device and you can’t have more than one account on a device. Maybe it would have been better to purchase tickets at the station.

No Amex; No Apple Pay; Crashing
The software behind this app is really lacking in quality. I just downloaded and had the following experience: - No American Express cards were accepted when trying to add a payment option. But it didn’t tell me that. After entering my card details I kept getting “400 Bad Request” errors until I chose a non-Amex card. The app should at least say that Amex isn’t supported. - No Apple Pay nor Apple Wallet integration. I couldn’t use Apple Pay to load balance, and you can’t add the Pronto card to Apple Wallet — even though the App Store page says it has Apple Wallet support! Which is kinda disappointing and dishonest. - Crashes every time I try to use Trip Planner. Whenever I hit “Search” the app instantly crashes. Oh well. Two stars since it’s a horrible user experience but I enjoy that we finally have a unified digital transit card.

Very unhelpful :(
I contacted pronto support 7 days ago and was hung up on a total of 12 times because “the line was busy”. Even when I switched to call the other support line, the person on the phone did not help in the slightest bit. Rather, they told me to contact my school even though I had already tried and was redirected to contact pronto support. They did not as for my name or any of my contact information, and tried to reassure me that my problem would get fixed. It has been a full week and my pronto account is still not registering that I have the UCSD U-pass. The system is so flawed.

Don’t use Pronto!!!
Make sure if you ever use this app to ONLY load the exact amount of money you need in relation to how often you’ll be riding the bus! I had a left over of 5$ and they apparently do not refund or give your money back to you! I’m not from SD so my money is just sitting on this stupid app doing nothing, thank goodness it’s only 5$ had I known how constrictive their policies are I would have never loaded any money onto pronto especially considering you do not even need the app to ride the bus, you can use your card on your phone. The pronto app is very unnecessary in those regards!! Do not use!!

Needs improvement
The only functioning thing about the pronto pass is adding monthly pass. There is no option to add the daily pass that is only available at the bus stations machine. I have to walk or drive more than a mile to add the daily 6.00 pass. It used to be offered on the bus and now you have to pay 2.50 to be able to pay an additional 6.00 just to ride on the bus like??? It doesn’t make sense to a person riding but I guess it does for those who operate the app they don’t have to walk more than a mile just to load the pass ?? Logistically makes no sense !

Terrible app
There are options to add cards but it doesn't let me change cards, it only allows me to transfer money from one card to another which is annoying because I always have problems using the app when getting on the bus because is forcing me to use only one of the cards. There is no option to delete the cards and the worst is that the balance that you supposedly pay to use "All day" every time you go up the bus/trollet and scan your card it lows your card balance. Compass app was great because there were no such problems

Daily commute
I rely on the MTS bus system to get to and from work everyday. The bus system works just fine, but quite often, the app fails to load arrival and departure times. Attempting to load the next departure tab under a bus stop location typical results in a response of ‘internal server error (PARSE)’. When this happens, no bus times load and you can’t use the trip planner. My work days vary a lot, so I don’t ride the same bus each morning and evening, so not being able to get readings of bus times is incredibly frustrating.

Keeps crashing
This was the best app. Since the last iPhone update I can’t use the app trip planner. When I click on the search bar the app shuts off. I’ve tried reinstalling the app. It did not help. I understand that a phone update can be a challenge, but this app is an absolute necessity for some of us. The trolley lines would do so much better if their tech was reliable. Besides the inconvenience to customers, these problems with the app really make the system look bad. It discourages new customers. PLEASE fix the app!!

Trip planning crashes and difficult to use
When I try to plan a trip for a time in the future, the app crashes as soon as I press search. The trip planning is not very user friendly in my opinion. Major transit hubs should appear at the top of searches rather buried in a list of other stops that contain the keyword, often a city or street name. There should also be a selection of transit map images native to the app that can be accessed when internet connection isn’t available.

Worst App I’ve Ever Used
I live in San Diego and the city had a simple, easy to use MTS app for buying trolley tickets. Then they switched to Pronto and I’ve had nothing but trouble. With the old app, I logged in on my son’s phone so I could buy a trolley pass for him ti use if he needed to get somewhere. I tried that with Pronto and got locked out of the app and had to call a help number to get it unlocked. A second time, I logged into my account from the Pronto website and then next time I tried to buy a ticket I was locked out. Again, I couldn’t unlock it without calling a help number. I’ve used a smartphone for more than 10 years and have never had to call the customer support number is single time for any of the apps I’ve used. I can’t tell if this app is just that bad or if it’s part of some nefarious conspiracy to discourage people from riding our trolley system.

Works well. Add Apple Pay support to make it great!
Pronto works well once it is setup. However, the initial setup takes a good bit of data entry, especially for the credit card payment (card number, expiry, CVV, full address, …) If it supported Apple Pay, this would be much easier. Similarly, if it supported Sign In with Apple, that would streamline the account creation part.

No ApplePay or iCloud password support
Immediately with the app’s onboarding, you’re presented with a form that doesn’t auto fill your name. When creating your password, there’s no suggestion from iCloud password keychain, which means whatever you enter won’t be saved. When you enter a payment method, it won’t auto fill any credit card number you’ve saved or give you the option to use ApplePay.

App is terribe, use their website instead
I couldn’t buy a one month pass using this app. Tried it both in regular and senior registered pass and different phones. It kept saying that we have reached the maximum times we could purchase it even though we had only purchased it once for the month of October 2021. It worked well when I used their website.

App doesn’t allow sign in
Tried to use the app to set up my card and use it for bus fares and it would not work (regardless if connected to wifi or not). I deleted and redownloaded and did everything I could to try and make it work but unfortunately it keeps sending error messages. The nearest transit area to purchase a card is far and waiting for the card to arrive in the mail is too lengthy. I hope this gets fixed soon, especially before students start in two weeks.

Potential, but broken
The app could be great. All the feature are there, except one of the most important features has been broken for over a year. The Trip Planner. It just exits out on iOS when trying to search for your trip. You’re forced to use Google Maps which is far less convenient than just doing everything in app. Like I said, everything else is great, minus the most important broken feature.

Stupid lazy programming makes it hard to use
Every time you switch away from the app it completely resets, so if you’re trying to create an entry in a password manager and paste results in the Pronto app, you can’t. They want security questions, which are insecure, so I use passwords, but I can’t copy paste between apps because the app keeps resetting to the beginning of the sign in process. Other apps manage to work like this just fine, but whoever wrote this app couldn’t figure out how to make it work.

Broken App and no response from devs/support
, faulty card transfer system, no auto fill support, no verification on school passes not registering to account properly, numerous login issues, no support to remove unused cards). This app is broken and they don’t care to fix it because they know they hold a monopoly on how we all pay for public transportation. Throw the whole company away at this point. Masters at marketing a broken product with no alternative way to get the service you deserve as a paying customer.
