Customer service
Just know that with everything there a few bad customer service people. Tony is amazing. So talk with him. He is understanding, compassionate, and stern for you to stay on track but he doesn’t make you feel like a dead beat like some do when you struggle to pay in this economical world right now. I have spent a lot of money here and bought many different rooms for my house from here. They have good choices and pretty decent prices for their plans. Go for it if you need economical way to get new furniture but do not have the money all at once. Best way to do it.

New management
I have had an account with you for years. All the staff(with the exception of the current) always made me come back. They kept an eye out for things I would mention I wanted on my wish list. I always felt like such a valued customer. I felt like they were interested in keeping me a customer. If I ever had a bump in the road payment wise they would help me solve the problem. Any time I got something new, they kept me updated as to when a delivery could be expected. Ever since the change, I get pestered the day of the payment. I get talked down to. I get reminded of my terms. Two payments came out of my account. I was told there was no way that could happen. I was refunded one of the payments. I was told by SSI that I made too much money and that the 2700 payment that was due to me in 3 days wasn’t going to come. It’s put me in a rough position. I am digging my way out. I saw a bedroom set that was used that I was interested i. I was told about the 6.07 start payment towards the set. They told me they would take in out. 4-5 days later I was calling to find out what was going on with my delivery. I didn’t receive a call to let me know. Instead I had to call them to be told. Because of Covid we can’t find anyone to deliver it. We set another date then nothing. I don’t even think I want it anymore. Customer since 2017 I have given a lot of money to rent a center. Probably pay the things I have left and be done.

Absolutely horrible
The app works great but can’t say the same for my local store in Dunkirk n.y. I can’t even begin to describe the horrendous way you are treated by the staff at this place!!! They refuse to give me the parts for my ebike that they didn’t send with it. Yet they come to my home banging on my door the date my payment is due!! The manager mike does not like me and he treats me worst than u can imagine seeing this is a business!! I have no idea why as I never met this guy nor do I even know him. And if I’m a day late omg he says he’s sending someone for my bike and just get this over with and turn it in. All this and they absolutely refuse to give me my parts I tried calling corporate twice and they told me I would receive a call back by a district manager and of course nothing. Mike the manager told me to go ahead and call corporate he don’t have to listen to them and he don’t care what they say!! Rent a center is a horrible business and I would STRONGLY advise going to Aaron’s or arona. UPDATE I’m not sure what the reason but the manager has been a lot more respectful towards me and has been treating me like I would expect as a customer. I want to be totally truthful about my experience so I feel I have to include this!! They probably read this but I’m glad things changed

I would give it a better rating but I can’t. Some people just aren’t made to do customer service! This is what happens when you hire people that isn’t passionate about ensuring customers feel valued. I have never been late nor have ever felt devalued as a customer. I get that not every customer is going to have compassion or respect for employees. However the customers that don’t disregard your employees should have a great experience with your company. But that’s not the case with mines. I constantly receive text, calls to remind me of my bill due. However never have I ever receive calls & texts the day of your due date to pay your bill or else. I would expect this if I was a day late or a couple of days late on my bill. But never the day of the due date. Please hire people that will represent your company as such. Don’t go against your company motto and treat customers as if they are just a stranger on the street that needs to be treated as criminals. Not every customer you have are bad. You will never gain the respect or grow as a company with those type of employees representing your business. After my contract is paid in full, this will be the last thing I will purchase from rent a center. Please do BETTER as a whole & treat others as you would like to be treated. Thank you & God Bless🙏🏽

Worst.
I ordered a bed in October that was supposed to be delivered by October 31st. Late November I was getting a bit frustrated. The night before Thanksgiving they said they would bring my bed. They brought pieces to a full size and half twin size so headed back to store. They set it all up and it was the wrong bed. They said they had ordered the right one and discounted a couple payments a few dollars. February and later I said okay I’ve been paying more money for a different bed and I just want to return it and get my money back. They told me that wasn’t an option. So I’ve been paying more money for a bed I didn’t even order or want or sign an agreement for since then. Then I ordered a bed set for my room from my other store. They didn’t show up the delivery day and then brought me a bed with a used display mattress. “I’m paying new price” they said they order it. Then I go to get in the end table drawer a couple days later and see that they have a foot long section of this bed DUCT TAPED. I haven’t got a response to wanting the same bed NEW just options of beds I don’t want they have on display. Insane. Duct tape on a “brand new bed” they offered me $400 off a bed they are charging me over a thousand dollars in interest anyways. Seriously the worst service I’ve ever experienced.

Biggest rip off if I could give them -20 stars I would
So first I bought a refrigerator used mind you for $2300. It was the top was the refrigerator side-by-side doors while the bottom was the freezer and icemaker. As soon as I got home I noticed that the icemaker kept falling down before I knew it. I will text back if I bought it. I now pay for the entire refrigerator not knowing that my warranty would ask if I can. I had to feed off a week after purchase. Then I called the company to explain how the icemaker had completely stopped working, and was like hinged from the freezer didn’t when they told me that they could not do anything about it that I had paid the full price and now that it was paid off I did not have a warranty given that it was a week after. Oh well, it gets worse. About two months after purchase the freezers stopped getting cold. I lost a lot of food because of this because I did not know for about a day and a half and had to throw out all of my frozen meat. I decided to turn it off by unplugging it and hope that it was reset itself. Wrong thing to do now the refrigerator did not work either and I was out $2300 with sales tax for a refrigerator that I had for two weeks! These guys are complete con artists!!!

Shout out to our local RAC!
Hi from CT! I’d like to take the opportunity to write a review for RAC.., they deserve it! My local RAC is in New London, CT, a few towns over from where I reside. “My RAC,” has been in the same location for 20+ years. I have fulfilled many contracts over the years for items I still have today. Every experience with each new contract was as flawless a the first. The employees are friendly & helpful. They truly go above & beyond to accommodate their customers needs & requests. You can always call the store with any question(s), they’re always enthusiastically helpful. I just paid off a gorgeous TV last week. The contact went by so fast & now I’m able to own a great, high end TV. I really appreciate the option of RAC vs traditional retail. It’s so nice to have the RAC alternative when our family needs something that’s a considered purchase. Very good work RAC Friends! I will continue to do business there for years to come! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Worst service ever!! First and last time renting to own! NEVER AGAIN!!
Worst service ever!! If I could give zero stars I would have. They start off being nice so that they can make a sale and then they began to be rude. The Grenada store is the worst. Their manager Ron is most disrespectful ever! He had the audacity to tell me, like sometimes people can’t be late making payments because of busy schedule and forget, that he has to pay his bills on time so I need to be doing the same! On top of that he constantly harasses me about putting my stuff on auto pay after multiple times I have told him no because sometimes I pay online or might use a different card. They call you on the day that your payment is due, like really. He not only calls me 3-5 times a day, but he also calls me after store hours as well. This is very unprofessional and I do not take harassment lightly at all. Trust and believe this will not be the last time you hear from me because you have most definitely earned the next legal actions that are to come. I will stick to buying my items cash instead of going this route.

Not a Punishment by a Switch But a Game to Play
Got a new one from Rent A Center in Sand Springs, OK. I got it in October or November 2023. I always shop early but I quesadilla not this time because they already sold out. My salesman went above and beyond looking and calling other Rent A Center s for one. He found one within that week. The Switch Game System and games was hit. It is small but mighty game system and it’s still working 5 months now. But that’s what I expect and all the products I have bought from Rent A Center since the early 80’s. From the same salesperson until last year , he’s at another RAC. What I’m really saying it’s a good store to shop at and the merchandise is dependable. If you’re still buying the merchandise and something goes wrong it will be fixed. Also, they deliver and the item is setup for you. I love RAC and their merchandise. Switch on up to a RAC.

This location is the absolute worse. They switch management CONSTANTLY. The DM I assume Mr Lawrence is an absolute jerk. He is very disrespectful and should not in any sort of management. I have worked in retail 10+ years and he is a joke! Reached out frustrated because my washer has not been working for going on 3 months, upon calling I was dealing with Ms Sequoia who was actually helpful… until she had me on speaker and her boss took over the conversation. I am currently still making payments on a washer that does not work, because he told me he would “halt my payments” and push them out further. When I expressed this wasn’t fair and I could continue payments to have it paid off (almost there,) he said well it sounds like that’s what you want so I’m glad we could get it worked out. Have a good day. No resolution or anything. This location should be shut down as they go thru changes of people EVERY WEEK! This is not my first problem with them, and I unfortunately don’t think it will be the last until I no longer have to do business with them.

Trying to buy a tv.
***Denver managers requested a copy of my lease be emailed to them personally if I wanted to buy from any store in Denver.*** I tried to buy a tv from them and they requested I emailed them directly a copy of my lease among other things that arent part of the application nor required to make an agreement with the company, when I tried to go thru the online process, they would cancel it before I could have anything delivered, by far the most racist treatment I ever received in any place with lack of customer service from all the management team that allow this to happen, I have several calls recorded of them demanding these documents among other things, after the sour experience I went to conns who didn’t request anything other than the delivery address and payment method in order for me to buy a tv, I’m very pleased with how easy they made it for me to buy, don’t waste your time with them and just buy the thing you want out right or go to someone else! Jeremy(said was a regional manager) Josh(said was regional manager) Are two of the many people that allowed this to happen and made sure I couldn’t buy from RAC in Denver, I hope this helps anyone who is considering to buy anything from them! Be very careful!!!)

Poor Service and Product
I ordered a pre-rented whirlpool washer and dryer set that I was never able to use because the washer would not drain. I literally had to use a bucket to drain the water in it and I refuse to constantly stand by the washer forever and dump water. I told the employees about it and they kept changing the dates to come fix it. I waited two weeks and no one came, so I decided to stop paying. They called me immediately when they noticed I stopped my payments. I told them I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for them to come pick it up to fix it because I haven’t been able to use it. I mentioned that at this point I don’t want it anymore and they should come to get it. I asked if I would get a full refund from the moment I started paying on it because I was never able to use it due to them not checking to make sure the product worked correctly before renting it to me. They refused to give me a refund. I wasted my money for a product that I was never able to use. I am LIVID!

Please make app able to save user name n password Face ID logins biometrics something!!! Hate having to type everything in every time discourages me from shopping for new items also get some longer gold rope chains. Us bigger men with bigger necks need longer chains. Would of kept the charm n necklace I had if it didn’t feel like it was chocking me constantly. 28 inch 3.5-4 mm diamond cut rope chain 14 k would be perfect n would buy it but nope y’all only cater to skinny folks. I’ve been buying from RAC religiously for over 20 years and have purchased numerous items it’s about time y’all have started expanding inventory and FINALLY starting to be competitive with your competition. Seriously took y’all long enough. Was seriously thinking of taking my business to rent to own. Y’all still got a long way to go though so keep plugging away. Also get on your techies about getting all inventory on app n website. What they folks do all day play solitaire????

I have to tell you that the general manager over there Ken is awesome. He is always there to help me. I’ve been with you guys for many many years and I’ve paid off a lot of items with you. My husband was in a bad car accident three days ago and it put me in a bind financially, so I called Ken and asked if there was anything he could do as far as lowering the payment just a little bit for this week, and without even hesitation, he took care of it and gave him my debit card, and he did what he had to do to help me. He is an awesome employee that you have. You should keep him and don’t let anybody stay on the way from you giving him a five star and giving that a five star because it’s been never a time that I’ve been unsatisfied.

Hey everybody I’m Gladys I have done business at the Rent-A-Center in Queens in Jamaica Ny at the Merrick Blvd store and the service is ABSOLUTELY GREAT Jonna is great to work with I just moved into my new apartment and I needed living room,and a bedroom set I told her what I would like and she and her boss really HOOKED ME UP!!! Also I got a BEAUTIFUL RECLINER that is heated and messages she ordered the recliner for me even gave suggestions on picking one that goes with my color scheme just beautiful she took into account my income bundled it and now I have BRAND NEW FURNITURE that Ms really affordable I recommend this store the furniture and customer service they are the best and highly recommend if u live in Queens Ny the Merrick Blvd store in Jamaica is the best bet to go to. Very Rude…
So after dealing with Rent A Center for some time I can honestly say that not once in all these years have I ever considered leaving until now sending back everything not paid off which hurts me more than then but it’s the principal. I’ve waited for a district manager to call who never did the store manager never returned my calls instead every time I call I get the same disrespectful ill mannered rep each time. I know this is for the app but if this will stop one person from going to RAC then it’s worked. Just know when you pay for benefits plus it covers nothing and then they make you sign all these papers with just saying oh it is standard stuff nothing important and then decide to tell you that you signed it so your responsible. Again perhaps that was me being trusting seeing how they haven’t up until now decided to turn their back on me when I needed them most. All this to say if you have another option take it you’ll thank me later.

No way to add agreement number and pay online .. company has been the worst when it comes to rent to own .. not only are there rates extreme compared to other say (great rentals) but they also hound you for payment worse then any company I’ve ever dealt with .. I ordered 9000$ worth of merchandise from them paid everything but 1100$ and my wife encountered a accident in which I had to take work off for a month and they called every day for 3 weeks hounding me saying they were going to repossess my items and this and that .. I will pay this 1100 due to the fact it’s my children’s bed set that is last due but after that I will not be doing buisness again with them .. I understand many people screw companies like this over but when your a customer that hasn’t missed a single payment in 8000$ worth it’s absolutely absurd to be treated like this .. imo find a local owned place like great rentals or buy your items outright DONT TAKE YOUR BUISNESS HERE

These folks are not workers they have become part of a fun family i see they are such nice people to me . I have always sense day 1 gotten nothing but the best treatment from all of them. I do have few that have actually become my personal life friends as well , the people here are amazing they have found me stuff in a nick of time and got me best deals showed me ways to save my furniture or appliances lifecycle thats what a good place does keeps their customers happy and these folks are good at that , one more thing is that if u have a issue or need help they come out quickly and work in a timly fashion but to be honest ive not had reason to call im big on using my cupons so i pay off i get something else rinse cycle repeat

Greetings everyone!!! Rent A Center is a very convenient place to get things you need or want when you don’t have enough money to pay for items. The people are friendly and if you’re a regular customer they do work with you when you’re behind on payments. These are the advantages of renting from RENT A CENTER!!!! The disadvantages of renting from Rent A Center are if you’re late on a payment they are very demanding, the interest rate is too high! But to sum it all up they are a very convenient establishment and the quality of their products are very good. I would recommend buying items you really need at the moment if you don’t have a lot of money at the time.

Hassle free business
These ppl are great! I’ve never had an issue and always get treated right! From Julian to Rob & the lovely Nancy ( gone too soon and never forgotten ) to the young lady ( sorry I forget her name) to the delivery service guys. Hands down best interaction and service I’ve gotten. They even worked so hard bringing in furniture and had energy to have a nerf war with my kids while putting it together. I will miss Nancy’s beautiful face and personality ♥️, but this will still be my go to store for anything with a payment plan. Just make your payments and no problems. I’ve been with these guys for yrs and never once had any issues, they work with you as much as they possibly can. Thanks guys 🧁

Always have had a great experience until my last purchase , I went through the manager and she told me I would receive a new washer n dryer in my set , not used new !! Well upon delivery I looked inside to find not only was dryer used but the lint catcher had been used to bursting it took me a hour to clean all the lint out then when I called to ask what it was n where my new was she says it was new only used to laundering store stuff , I’m sorry there was a cigarette tore apart and dryer in someone’s very unclean lint it was almost brown looking was assured I’d receive a new one but still never has it been fixed I’m paying full price for a new n yet it’s obviously used this has really turned me off to them normally underfoot bother me except when it’s washing things me n my family wears n I’m willing to pay for new it should been new

Honor the written word and verbal word
When I began renting your products I was the happiest person I could ever imagine because 1. I could afford to buy what was needed to make my home run smoothly as possible. 2. I could also get a form of transportation that would allow me to go back and forth to short distances without having to walk. That was my highlight in being happier with not having a car. Short lived as it was because of being hit by a 18 wheeler that messed up my gears. I relied on RAC to stand by their word and warranty to fix or replace the broken parts. Only to be waiting for a no show or call to reschedule to fix it. To remind you of what was said,” As long as I am paying for the bike and it is in my hands it’s under warranty and it will be fixed or replaced! Two months now Three months later I had to pay close to 600$ dollars to get parts, because the warranty and word went sour!!!

Worst app ever
When you log into your account, it shows nothing. So what’s the point if I can’t view my terms of agreement or previous payments? If I didn’t absolutely need the furniture I received, I wouldn’t ever recommend this company to anyone I care about. They broke my dresser upon delivery and also a night stand. It’s been two months and I’ve yet to hear anything about my replacements they promised me. I get absolutely HOUNDED on payment days, his forbid if my card on file doesn’t go through for whatever reason. I’ll then receive 5-6 calls that day about making a payment. Something seriously shady is going on with this company. I pay a different amount every week as well. Yet, I can’t view my terms, bc the app and website are beyond terrible. I’ve called district managers but they just made the situation worse. Do any and everything you can to avoid this company.

Last week I try to pay byway of the app, but the app wasn’t working. On Monday I told the store and the clerk said don’t worry about I’ll wave the fees. He didn’t. I called the corporate office and the person practically called me a liar by saying no one else had that problem. Well I did. I ask him to have the district manager give me a call, and he asked me why? Telling me the district manager couldn’t do anything ether. I asked to have him call me anyway. That was Monday and today is Friday. I still haven’t received a call. Now I’ve been with RAC for over 20 years. I’ve spent good money with this organization. One thing I’ve never done is lied. If I miss a payment I pay the price. But if it not my fault I don’t think I should have to pay the late fee. Doing business like this doesn’t encourage me to suggest you to other people or to continue to do business with you as well.

I visited the Norristown store, the manger , set a deal with me to buy a sofa , I was not looking for a deal , she presented one , long story short , I ended up only missing one payment due to a missing bank card , I am an obedient Christian, I have been treated like I never paid a dime , 1 missed payment. So I found out I passed paying for the sofa Now I’m paying interest, I only had to pay 129 dollars, a worker from the store came to my house knocking on my door, I feel that it’s just a bad vibe , and they talk to you like you are a criminal, disrespectful, I wish they would have acted that way when they set me up with a plan , that back fired costs more for some deal that I was presented with has me paying interest, I guess everyone is trying to get paid, please in the name of Jesus keep the disrespect to yourselves, this world is in trouble

They don’t keep there word
I was suppose to have a delivery on Monday January 8,2024 between the hours of 2-4 pm but the driver call me before 1:30pm which I explained to Rent A Center that Mondays I do a lot of running around because that’s my only day off but they debit it to come or return my phone calls so I’m not gonna continue paying for my merchandise because Chelsea refused to return my money that I put on a 65inch TV she told me that she couldn’t return my money unless I pay the bill that wasn’t due at that point so I’m no longer gonna deal with this type of sad customer service anymore from this company, Every time the manger Sandra told me that she will call me back she NEVER does on numerous occasions so this company does not care about the customers they just want the money and trust customers like trash,No more of my business again.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been a customer for a while now, I believe a little over a year and Robert and his team have always been phenomenal to me. Flexible when I needed help with payments if I ever had money issues, super patient and kind, the list could honestly go on! I never feel stressed or worried when doing business with this company and they always mean well. I feel like they’ve become family members practically and like I can always call if there’s something I need for my home and they almost always have it and willing to work with me! Will always go to them 💖

GREAT COMPANY!!
I have used RAC several times in past years at the Bradford PA store. The sales people were very helpful, friendly and we were treated great. Our purchased items were of good quality and we were pleased. I can’t say enough good about their quality of service. Our last purchase was a sofa and it was accidentally torn on a cushion enroute. They set it up and said they would reorder that section. We put a towel over it and they were back as soon as the new section came in and were at our house to replace the damaged one. All in all, our experiences have been excellent.

Made it happen!
My wife and I bought a stove prior to this recent contract. Our Dyson vacuum broke and the one my wife wanted wasn’t carried by the store. At our ends with trying to figure out how to get the one of her choice, let alone able to afford it. I figured it was worth a shot to ask if they could get it, and they did! After asking about it sent them a picture of what she wanted, and three days later we had the Dyson of her choosing. I can’t express my appreciation enough, they really accommodated to our wants and needs. Truly awesome! Thanks again guys from the Buckhannon Rent-A-Center!

Check your rate weekly
I was originally quoted a weekly rate and I declined the additional services like insurance. I called in last week to inquire only about a promo they offered, following day I receive a notice I’m past due. This was now going into my second week and I made my payment on time. When I looked at the charges, the item I inquired about was added to my contract and the insurance was also added without my consent. They were closed Sunday, so Monday I was able to call and asked why these were and I was not told why. Was told the fees and item would be removed. I look at my invoice again because I wanted to pay early and see that they have added the insurance AGAIN. They must get some sort of commission for it, but I DON’T care! Stop adjusting my contract!!! I need to call again and this annoying!

No matter who I've spoken to, they are all really understanding and helpful. I was a little not that nice when I had put myself in a bad situation and instead of telling me to kick rocks they were able to do a simple switch! (I know I'm the worst) They move everything safely with no damage and no hassle. Everyone is very kind and informative. I also love that they give the option for early pay off and they always answer the store phones 📞 so if this goes to anyone who could give them a raise or something, Fairborn location is the best!

Incredible customer service
Rent a center in Havelock is unlike any other store I have been in. As soon as your feet hit the store you are greeted with big smiles !! Crystal is the best !! If you need it, she will find a way to get it for you! Crystal and her team always go above and beyond to help you and your family get the things you need to make you and your family happy!! Plattsburgh NY -My local Rent a Center is a joke, bought new washer and dryer, had issues with washer took several days of phone tag to have someone come out and ‘repair’ my washer. They were here 15 minutes ran washer empty and and said they fixed problem. Went to load washer and start it and had same issue. Problem was never fixed, called back to have them come and pick it up and was told they would call when they have someone available. Waited for a few days and had to return call and ask when someone was coming to get washer and that I needed a loaner. It has been 3 weeks and I have not heard anything about said washer but they have no problem, messaging me twice a day about where my weekly payment is.

Miss Freeport Store
I’m not sure why Rockford store took over my contract but I’m not happy! Freeport Store didn’t call me on the Same day of my payment due nor my contact person. Rockford is steady blowing up my phone! If they looked at my HISTORY I’ve been paying for two years almost now and have always made a payment even in the payment history it is shown payments made within a day or two. I get it people don’t always pay but NOT everyone is like that. Bring back Freeport and the amazing people who worked for them!!

My opinion
I’ve been with Rent-A-Center for a while now and I would have thought that things would be good. It’s not. For some reason when I suppose to get a delivery it’s always a problem. They will tell you that your delivery will arrive on this day and it never happens. I just had one of the workers put me on hold and never come back to the phone I’ve been waiting on my delivery all day. I was told that it will arrive before 7 and when I called I was told that the truck broke down and I asked why didn’t someone contact the customers and let them know I was put on hold and never responded back too. I just dont think it’s good to treat loyal customers that way I pay them when it’s time so I expect the same treatment when they say things will be done

Just trying to get an understanding of how my 1st time, I ended up feeling out a form for a nice couch never received spoke with different people and they never followed through with my Oder had the money to make 1st payment and the Bolingbrook location didn’t even accept it, I’ve been receiving text messages saying my payments are due “Hello what payments?” And I still haven’t received my furniture let alone received a call about the 1st order, now I’ve placed a new one for a new sofa and flat screen and I’ve been getting the run around what do I do like for real do anyone know anyone who is the actual store manager of the Bolingbrook location I just wanna get the proper customer service that’s all

Could be better
I am the former Sales Manager of my local Rent-a-Center, and I can honestly say that this app could be so much better, and it would have made the customers lives a little easier too. First off, add the ability to log in using Face ID or your fingerprint (or whatever the OS use for identification). Logging in every time I go to use the app gets repetitive and is inconvenient. It is also inconvenient that you can not make more than a one week payment unless you are paying off the agreement. I had customers calling frustrated because they wanted to make double payments online and be paid ahead, but couldn’t.

I’ve heard bad things
I’ve heard bad things from friends and coworkers, but honestly, they work with you, as long as you make your payments on time or even communicate with them, they truly do find ways to work with you! I don’t think they are money hungry, yeah sure the items be a little crazy price and you could probably find cheaper elsewhere, but when you are a single parent and can’t afford to pay things out right; the payment plan truly works amazing with my budget! Amazing crew in Rockland Maine
Can’t say enough awesome things about the crew at this store. (Rockland, Maine) Very helpful, informative and just all around great people. Used another store closer to me a few years back…. And my review couldn’t be any more polar opposite…. Not of the employees… but of the management. (Uhhg ! ) … The management in Rockland is A++ service! I highly recommend if you are from that area, you won’t be disappointed. Great deals, great products, great service, great store, great people… what more could you possibly ask for? Don’t hesitate…. Great establishment to do business with!
I started by getting a laptop through them for school during Covid. I returned the item and was given credit back. I never used the credit but years later I returned and got a tv. I had that until I later purchased my own. Now I have a couch, dining room table and beautiful bedroom set. All Ashley furniture and amazing quality. I am very happy with my service from the store in Eugene , Oregon the manager Leah is very helpful and sweet and the delivery guys are the same. Highly recommend

store computers are insanely slow
I feel sorry for the employees that work in the store, and the customers who have to wait extra long because RACs computer system is so slow. The employees refer to their system as “SIMS”. When you bring it up to the employees they look so defeated and frustrated. Seems like their home office doesn’t care about the employees mental health, every time I go into the store it seems like the slowness of the computers is really taking a toll on them mentally. The customers get really frustrated too.

Horrible service for part of our contract
Our family has spent several thousand dollars and they wouldn’t repair a couch that started falling apart, now over a year into the contract they tel my daughter that even though her washer went out they will not replace it with a like one but will bring her a cheap one that isn’t what she has been paying for. They will however bring the one she has had if she wants to start paying from the beginning again. I don’t know what has happened to this company. I used to enjoy doing business with them, now their upper management seems to make it hard for the store managers to build relationships that continue to bring in money. These will be the last items we buy from them

That poor customer service I’m a long time client and I have paid off every loan I’ve gotten and he was very disrespectful on thinking I wanna pay when I want to when I got dates wrong of when I was getting a payment and for him to not understand or have a quality of service for your store like your previous manager which I have forgotten his name is a sad display of loyalty and professionalism he needs to be corrected

Ill mannered service
The Rent a Center that I currently do business with has to be most unprofessional Ill mannered customer service that I have ever experienced. And this comes from someone that works in a area of customer service. Constantly calling and harassing about a payment I know is due, all because my new pay period doesn’t fall on their algorithm. They don’t have to harass me because last I checked I pay all of my bills. In the almost three years, which it shouldn’t have been this long that I’ve been doing business with them, they have yet to report any of my payments to the credit bureau. I know for a fact should I ever have to rent anything else in life, the rent a center in Pearl Mississippi definitely won’t be it

Yeah, employees at the location in Woonsocket Rhode Island are amazing they cater to your needs wants if you need help they and will accommodate you in anyway that they possibly can! I highly recommend Rent-A-Center! I’ve been going to them for over eight years now and they’ve always been 100% amazing and like I said accommodating no matter the situation. They will work with you if you are unable to make your payment on time. They are just completely amazing and I love them.!

Don’t Understand
I ordered a chair a month ago that was not in the store I buy from. I received a text in the store that it would be at the store this Tuesday. The person in charge said he would track it and call me. He never did. I had to do a follow up call myself. This isn’t the first time he hasn’t returned calls. I’m wondering if the chair was even ordered when I ordered it cause this wouldn’t be the first time he has ordered something I want to buy way after I’ve told him. I wanted the chair before Christmas. This is pretty annoying. This store treats me too common, not professionally. It upsets me.

Worst App Ever
This app is completely pointless. It literally doesn’t allow me to pay my bill online. Doesn’t show me what I’ve paid so far, doesn’t allow me to set up auto pay or even show the merchandise I have on my account. Because of the issues I’m having with this app I am getting behind on my payments and I am seriously thinking about just closing my account with RentACenter. I call customer service and get no assistance and the people at my store have tried to help me but are unable to resolve my issue as well. I’m seriously frustrated and at this point I don’t even want to be a customer anymore. I’ve had the worst experience ever with rent a center. If I could give 0 stars I would!!! 😡😡😡🤬🤬

They physically change your contract don’t sign a contract online because they will lie to you and say no we won’t change your contact ya ok They signed my contract for me I signed a contract for a used vehicle and then they were turned around and said they were gonna get me a new one and not change my contract and what they do they change my contract without telling me you took money out of my bank account never do automatic payment with them because they will scam you I bet you any money they’re gonna take my payment out cause I did buy monthly so they change the weekly so they’ll probably try taking my payment out on the 18th after I told him to not come and get your product

No reason to call every 3 hours everyday
I have been a rent a center customer for atleast 10 years. If I miss a payment 1 day I receive 4 calls a day, then all of the sudden a truck shows up at my house???!!! Ridiculous. There is no need for the multiple calls a day, if I miss a payment, believe me, I know I have, because your service people make it unbelievably clear. Absolutely a terrible way to treat a customer. Please stop all of the harassing phone calls and just give people a few days to catch up. I agree that if someone is late more then a week to call, but 4 times a day with it only being 1 day late is crazy. I will never contact again after I am completed this last lease.
