A big gap to be filled in online
Game is well designed and rating would be five stars except for one fatal flaw! In online, when a player quits and the computer takes over, the computer needs to be more logical and sophisticated. I was just playing an online match and it was between three players. A computer controlled, a human opponent and myself. The human opponent had at one point, four continents under full control, I had one (Australia) and the computer had its troops spread over Asia with out control of the full continent. The computer proceeded to consistently attack territories in Asia and corner me in Australia by stacking surrounding territories with high troop counts, while my human opponent was absolutely running away with the game! To make matters worse, the human opponent left some continents with little protection and the computer still didn’t attack one single territory to reduce the bonus troops for the human opponent. Needless to say I lost the match. My issue is I didn’t lose because the human player out strategized me, but rather because the computer player was in la la land with its head up its a-s. Please make the computer in online much more sophisticated so that the games remain competitive and fair when some one quits mid game.

Good but deteriorating
I first downloaded this app back around 2015 or so, and it was exactly the game I was looking for. I enjoyed playing regularly enough, but when the first pack of new maps came out, it was game changing. I was especially fond of the USA and Europe maps. I had since downloaded several different series of maps, and purchased the game twice when my original Apple ID was lost. I was happy to do so for the quality of gameplay. Over the years I have gone for periods without playing, but I somehow always come back and keep going. I understand the need to keep cash rolling after all these years, but the game is started to turn into every other gems for items game. The purchasable emotes and figures are annoying having felt the purity of the game in its early days. I shouldn’t be surprised, and am always excited to see the new maps. I wish you’d go back to world maps and regional maps. I always enjoy real world scenarios more, personally. Also, with all the changes, I keep needing to login with my ID. It’s really annoying, and has created at least 4 different characters over the past few months, as well as making an entire map package I purchased no longer available. I didn’t mind rebuying the game when I lost my Apple ID, but I lost one of my favorite maps in one of the character changes.

Perfect
I love playing risk and an always looking to do more of it, but unfortunately none of my friends share my enthusiasm, as the game has a playing time of upwards of two hours. However, when I found this my friends suddenly got more intrigued. With a colorful scheme and a game mechanic called “blitz”, (a new way of attacking) you can do away with the tedious dice rolling that stretched the hours of regular risk. This, along with auto setup(optional) did away with the boring parts of risk and got to the fun stuff quick-world domination. (And there are multiple maps too so you could dominate Boston, the United States, and Europe in loads of different maps) This game solves my passion for risk in two ways: gets my friends to play with me and gets totally random people to play with me so there is never a shortage of games to play. P.s. If your an obsessive risk player like me you’ll wanna get the 7 dollar thing which allows you to play an infinite amount of games without having to wait for your tokens to return(also gives access to multiple more maps) but if you are playing two games of risk or less per day then I’d say don’t but it and just wait for your tokens to regen.

Absolute waste of time
Do you want to play a game where strategy doesnt matter and the developer has pre-decided who will win giving that player better rolls, cards and starting positions to fortify, they you found it! This game is an abomination of the classic game. The dice rolls are the worst. Now the maker of the game will come on here and tell you how they are random and you can go look at the way the dice work, blah blah blah. The fact is they are the most unrealistic thing Ive ever seen in my life. Here are a couple examples of what I mean to save you the frustration this game causes after spending an hour playing good and then being ready to attack. I just had a match that was the last straw, I had several territories and built up accordingly on the perimeter to attack. After about 45 minutes of play with 5 other players I was ready to attack. The first one was 10 of mine vs 1 of theirs. I lost all 9 soldiers to their 1 and they defeated that roll with one dice against my 3-10 times! You know how impossible it would be to roll 30 dice and never have a single number above their one die? Unreal, if not impossible. In this same game, on the other edge of my territory I had 34 soldiers attacking an opponent that had 4 cards but only 7 soldiers left to obtain their cards and take them out. Their 7 took all my soldiers to where we each had 1 to 1. That was it for me, I quit that game and deleted the app. Dont waste hours of your life like I did on this disaster.

Don’t bother with support
When you send in a comment, complaint or even a suggestion to them is a waste. First, when trying to contact support you are directed out of the game to send an email to them. Second, after typing everything up and sending it in you will get a return email back. Third, now the email wants you to go to this site they highlighted and now you have to re-type everything again. ??? Why ??? Oh, that way they do not get complaints or anything they would have to do something then. Maybe, they can say they get any complaints because people are NOT going to sit there and re-type everything again when it was already done and sent to them. This way people just say the heck with it as they can tell that nothing will be done so why waste my time again.... I enjoy the game of RISK but this is not RISK as the game is fixed against you to make you spend money, money, money to play. Playing RISK is supposed to be a game a risk and reward. But, this game is not a game a risk when it is fixed against you. Play global with supposed to be other real players but it is not. The same name playing single player as when I played global. Also, both players (computer) would only attack me and not the other computer. So it is 3against 1 and this happened 7 straight games. What risk? When you have already loss before starting, how many times have you gone first when playing?? Nope, usually 4,5 or 6 to play out of 6 players. What a joke !!!!!!!!!

Great, but dice is not random
I really enjoyed this game. It looks great and works beautifully, but the dice is not random. The game places an advantage to one player from the beginning, at times sympathy to losing players, and at times purposely preventing players to gain territory on a given turn. I have been playing this game every day for two weeks and it’s a continuous trend. The advantaged player has an easier time taking over territories while not losing many points, if any at all, and this is felt throughout the game. Once in a while justice is served, but the advantage continues. On the other hand a player that is losing, including myself, is given sympathy by winning unbeatable odds. Worst case scenario, one game I attacked the same territory with a 6-2 odd from multiple territories for 4 full turns and lost every battle never obtaining it. Seems like bad luck, but I defended a similar situation, for not as long, and even still questioned the “randomness” of the game. After playing the game for some time you can predict some battles especially if one player is losing or you lose a battle that is clearly in you favor, so you learn to not attack because you will continue to lose for that turn. It seems like the idea is to drag on the game or make it more fun, but it just becomes frustrating. If this algorithmic sympathy/advantage is fixed, the I will re-download and play, but for now I’m done. I’ll stick with the board game.

Horrible “random dice”
There is fun to be had playing risk regardless but when you’re losing purely due to impossible dice outcomes it loses its appeal. I’ve played dozens of games of real risk. Hours long to fight those giant battles and rolled tens of thousands of dice in doing so. Yet in those experiences I have 2 memories of the completely lopsided outcomes that you’ll find in every game here. I always pick “True Random” when I look for games because it automatically skews to some other option if you don’t. Regardless no matter where I am in my games my dice rolls are always a perfect 16% for my overall stats. This started after my first game. Each game You will see multiple massive defeats that hate statistically improbable. I’m talking someone attacking with 20 against 3 and killing only 2 guys. Or attacking through 10 counties with only single defenders and Losing 20 troops to do it. That’s a defender winning 2 times before losing when he’s rolling 1 die against 3 10 times in a row... If you’ve played with real dice you know these things can happen but the frequency that it happens here is insane. But don’t worry. Once you’ve lost you’re whole army on a single attack that should have been a guaranteed victory the enemy will lose some extra troops here and there so the numbers don’t look skewed at the end of the game. I’ve got pictures of the battle logs that I took out of frustration but of course I can’t post them here. Deleting app.

Gives unfair advantage to AI
At first I loved the game but the more I played I noticed that the way it is set up it is unfair if you play the AI. For example in just one turn I took 5 against 3 and AI won they still had 3 and I had 1. In the same turn I went 9 against 5 and I lost they had 4 and I had 1. Another example is that I had all of North America, South America, Australia, and Africa and about a third of Europe, but somehow when the red AI player recruited who only had 4 European countries they somehow got almost 30 troops, but I only got 21. They could have traded in cards but even at that there is no possible way they should have come up just a couple of troops less than 30. I have also noticed numerous times that for instance I may have three sections of South America, but it will give me only 1 troop in each of those three sections and it gives one of the AI players one section, but gives them 6 troops in the one section and they will get to go before you so before you even get to make a move you lose those 3 troops and they have that continent plus because they had so many troops there they used their recruits elsewhere to take other sections as well. I have literally had times that before I got to move I was already down to about 20 troops and never had a chance because I got three recruits and by my second move I would be down to about 10 troops total left on the map.

Bad Updates
This game is one of my favorite games to play, but after the last update it ruined how I feel about the game. I was a master rank, but after they updated it this last time I went all the way back to a novice rank. The game constantly glitched; kicking me out of the game, it would redo all of my moves that I had already made but take away all of my troops. I lost so many games in a row because of this. The developers keep worrying about adding features instead of fixing this and that is why I rate the game so low. I have spent a lot of time playing this game and have learned all the of the tricks to winning the game. I understand that I will not win every game but when these glitches keep me from winning while also knocking me down in the ranks, I do not enjoy playing it. I in fact have just become irritated because this happens every game. Also with the new update everything is just a jumbled mess and is completely unnecessary. The logos for the type of game being played is also less appealing. And with the alliances, there should be a way to communicate with your allies. This could be a separate game mode. The game is also full of cheaters and that should be worked on as well to make the game more fair. I’m more unhappy with the new update than the game itself. Because the concept is great.

FRUSTRATION!!!!!
I really enjoy Risk, and the game is Risk... kind of. The game is coded to encourage use of certain armies or create a certain win/loss ratio rather than giving you the autonomy that makes Risk... well, Risk. If they made it a true random number generator for each dice roll, this game would be exactly what it should be, and would be great (5 Stars). You might be saying “sounds like sour grapes...” but when I frequently attack a location with ten plus armies and the enemy square does not lose a single army? Granted, it’s mathematically possible, but not to the point that it should happen 4+ times EVERY game. I have NEVER seen it in the board game with actual dice. In my last game, I attacked one map piece containing 12 armies with 4 different map pieces each with 7 (24 total attacking armies), and lost all but the occupying army, while doing 4 total damage. Would appreciate the developer fixing the game to make each individual dice roll based on a RNG 1-6. This would make the game far less frustrating. At this point, I have enough of a handle on their algorithm to determine when I should stop attacking to avoid losing all my armies... not that quantity matters anyway 😒

Risk with an awkward cashgrab on top
The basic game works fine, but the fact you have to pay to play each round and only get 8 games worth of tokens per day limits your ability to enjoy the game without buying the 12$ premium version. The alternate maps are mostly trash, and cost 5$ a bundle, and you can't favorite or filter maps, so you always have to scroll through all 100+ if you want to play a more recent map. Also, why aren't tamriel or westeros called that? Did Hasbro not license the rights? Did they lose the name rights? Why doesn't the pirate map pack include a caribbean map? It's Risk with a bunch of messy slop on top. Update: Devs tried to explain to me how the mobile game revenue works -- I get that. But they didn't comment on my actual point. And I get the indie studio is different from the Multibillion megacorp that owns the game rights. But in that case, they need to have a chat with Big Daddy Hasbro about their legacy products. It's Risk, if you're the type to play Risk you'll spend the 12$ to get unlimited plays, and you'll have enough Gems left over for 1 map pack. After that, let them hang. If they're gonna call it a F2P game while you spam ads to get enough gems to play, then the can call this a 5 star review ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing! Only a few issues.
I’ve been experiencing an issue with online matches and haven’t found a way to get it fixed other than closing the app and restarting it. The problem is when I receive a text/notification and it’s banner drops down at the top, if I peak at the message it freezes my territories. I’ll be able to press everywhere else, emojis, text, settings, ect., but I won’t be able to press the territories to add troops/attack/fortify. It’s really frustrating because when I leave mid game, by the time I can re-enter the match, the AI takes over and spreads my troops everywhere making it impossible to win. Please fix this issue, I’ve never had my notifications mess up any of my games before and it really dampens the experience of playing a fair game. Everything else is done really well. I enjoy all of the maps and challenges brought to this game through it being an app. It has magnified the experience of this game compared to the board game I played growing up. I can always find matches, even on the slower days. The rotation of free maps is perfect for me to try before I buy and there is so much content. I don’t feel bored.

Love the app.
Great app. The ads get annoying but it’s only $10 for it. I have the board game too so I already appreciate the game but this app keeps it fun with lots of different maps, they alternate 2 premium maps for all the play and anyone can host any map on multiplayer. The multiplayer can be really enjoyable, I play this a lot, but I prefer the rule of “no more than 12 units on a space” cos having to save up on one spot just match the highest Army that one of the other players have. I get it’s a waiting game, it just gets boring after awhile. Lots of customization, UI (I did prefer the old UI as apposed to the new one) now is very user friendly so anyone can understand. Overall, 5 stars if you love playing risk and if considering premium, not having to worry about coins with premium I believe to be worth it. You can play an unlimited amount of games and get a couple new customizations with it plus NO ADS 😂 also, I find it pointless to be able to add friends since these are usually lengthy games and the invite timing can be weird but it’s cool for memories sake.

Messed Up Dice
I’m not going to be like some people here and claim that everything is a conspiracy and the dice are no exception. However, I’ve noticed a few trends when rolling: 1. A 4v2 in the attackers favor almost always ends in the attacker losing all troops and the defender losing none, or occasionally one. 2. Attacking with 4 against another 4,5, or 6 generally results in a low casualty victory for the attacker. 3. The last very noticeable trend is that of troop battles where both sides have troops in the numbers between 10 and 15ish. When clashes like these happen between armies of similar size, the attacker usually comes out on top with just a few casualties. Again, I’m not going to claim conspiracy or anything weird or rant at what I’m sure is a relatively small team of devs to “fix the problem immediately”. I just thought I’d point out that it can be very frustrating for players and I myself have rage quit quite a few games in which this happens often. Not trying to be a toxic player but in some instances, logic would show that rolling dice in the above scenarios multiple times is extremely slim, and happens more than the odds would suggest. Hope y’all see this, and, other than this, the game is great. Just the dice taking the two stars away.

Complain enough and they leave you alone.
2023: update not in App Store. Looks like a phishing scheme. They say give us you personal data so you can play safer? Quite the opposite. 2022 review: The game was unfairly rigged against normal single player play & forced me to see ads. But if I play on stupid level & complain in reviews regularly enough they leave me alone. Hit replay every game. No ads and it’s mostly like playing against idiot AI’s that occasionally become geniuses. Get to play about 10 games a day AD FREE & when they start to screw me, I take a break & later it gets stupid again. 5 stars because I can avoid cheaters AND advertisers. Perfect. 2021 review: … when I turn it down to stupid level it still beats me 10% of the time. The purpose of this game is to sell ads. Skill, competition, reality? Don’t expect to encounter them here. No matter how well I play, it HAS to beat me 10% of the time. Tell me that is a legitimate game? Minus 10 stars not being a possibility. One damned star. So I write a bad review and usually the game works better for a minute. But now you have no legitimate response so I lose game after game solo against the computer on Novice when I have been playing Risk for 55 years. Amazing you can flip a switch & make the game better or worse but you won’t just let it be better b/c that would mean less ad views.

Dice being rigged & ads
This game isn’t random at ALL it is just rigged for the people then let’s then win almost anything with ease and the people that got left behind just have to deal with it here is a little story I got a garbage start and then worked my way up and as soon as I got slight success the tearing my army up twice I faced a 2 with a 6 and twice they failed and died then I attacked a 7 with a 20 and lost 14 troops and then attacked a 10 with a 20 and lost 2 then the enemy came in with a 8 against a 19 and win only losing 2 troops and destroyed my game I am better than the average player and it is infuriating to work up and out play everyone then once you start winning to have the dice start to totally mess you up and several other people have said the same thing and the developers even put in a chat saying and I quote “the dice hate me” they acknowledge the dice issue but they only put a chat in and not actually fix the problem. Also there are ads like every time I click out then go back into the online to reload the games. Also I think it’s a bad idea to make people wait to play your game because then you are missing out on ad money and also in app purchases and yes they make you pay for infinite tokens (which are the things you need to play games).

Good version
It was very chaotic on how you bought the premium edition that you had to buy tokens, and then exchange tokens for the premium edition. Afterward, the game was much more enjoyable without frequent ads for games that I had no interest in playing if they are going to continue using ads as a income stream for different games it would be at least nice to have targeted ads instead of showing the same garbage over and over again. Oh no, the game plays very well. I have had a few issues of sound disruptions, but these are have been minor and just changing menus can’t often fix it. the game allows for quick play, which is nice but he just want to get through and not deceive dice roll over and over again lots of different mass make changes in the way that you play and some of the map add-ons do help keep the game original and interesting so for these reasons, I do get this a five star review. It was frustrating in the beginning of the game is designed and plays very well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Coin collecting
It’s a very addictive game. Really like the different versions/skill level of the games. The different versions consist of different continents to conquer. Not sure if it is or not, but I think each computer avatar should have a different battle plan. The different game packages they have I have not bought one yet. I may have to buy one once I get bored with the current continents. The coins that we earned in the game should be allowed to be put towards buying a game package. That probably won’t matter anyway because the coins you earned cannot be received pass the next amount ending in zero. For example. When you finish a game and you have 57 coins no matter what you do it will not let you pass 60 coins. It says if you watch this video you will receive five coins. I have never received five coins for watching any of the videos. If you have anywhere between 56 to 59 coins it will not let you receive past 60. Then all the methods to receive coins are removed until you spend more coins. It would be nice option where you can have an alliance with any of the other computer avatars until the alliance is broken by one or the other. Or if you conquer one of the avatars you can receive coins.

Love most of it
I love the game risk and I love this app, Usually. The app does tend to crash a lot, i just finished playing a multi player game and I won! But it does not seem to matter it took forever to process the results, so I waited patiently for like 5 minutes, then I waited very annoyed for another 5. I turned on airplane mode to see if I could discount and reconnect it would help at all. And then it allowed me to keep playing and taking my turns, after I had the whole world concurred and then my turn timer bar did not stop moving as I tried to take some turns and then I had like 800 Troops built up just cause it let me keep playing by the time the timer bar finished it just sat there when my turn should have ended. I should also add that in a previous online game when I was very close to winning the opponent had 3 territory’s the game froze when his turn timer ran out and just sat there. This in now 2 online games I have “lost” because of this. While I would still recommend the app it gets very frustrating how often the game does stuff like this. Never as bad as this time and even as someone who has only left one app review I felt the need to let people and the hopefully the creators know.

Great game -
This game is awesome , i play on i phone and it is easy to play, the only problem i have is that i got banned for winning to much i guess, a lot of players report other players sometimes for really no reason at all other then just to be a jerk just because they are loosing or lost in a game, i play on i phone and have spent money on the game. I had to make a new account and start all over becuase i guess i got reported to many times for making other players mad because i win alot, so i lost all my previous purchases for no reason at all, As far as i know it is impossible to cheat playing on a i phone and you cant talk to players so there is no way to bother other players so i still do not understand why i got banned before, i even sent in a message to the developers and got no response back, So all i can say is if you are good at this game watch out because you might get reported for no reason and might have to start all over again, but other then that this is a awesome game for sure.

Game scoring needs transparency
Okay. So it may take up to 24 hours to score your game. So if you play 5 games in a day you won’t know from which game your scores are going up or down. You will never know how much you win on the matches you win. And how much you lose on the matches you lose. For example, you win a game in 10 minutes, and lose a game within 10 minutes also. But your score isn’t changed yet… So you play another game that lasts for 75 minutes. When you exit your score has now changed. Okay so what caused what? And do you even know if the just finished 3rd game was factored? No you don’t. You will also never know if you are barely gaining vs novices, or a slight gain. If you knew this you could actually determine a minimum rank for your games. This game needs a game history, not that dang hard. Time of game, win/loss, maybe position of finish, and the plus or subtraction at the end of game. Even if it’s delayed How helpful! Would be good to know if I lost 600 points in 3rd position vs losing 250 points in 2nd. Even position in losses have to be managed for ranking. How many players in the game when I gained the most. How many when I lost the most. Anyway leaving the 1 star review till they make this much needed update. They are wrong on this issue.

Everything is so expensive
The game is fun, because of how I need to plan out each turn. It's a game where you need to think about every move you make. But, everything is so expensive. All customizations need so many gems to buy. You only get a few maps out of about 100 maps, most being scenarios and some being so difficult! Customization is cool, but nothing is automatically free except for profile frame colors. Usually some things will be free when you start, but this game doesn't care! Heck, I can't even change my name without signing in. However, some levels will give you a prize, such as a dice design, or a different figure for your army. Even so, leveling up takes a long time to do. Map packs are about 300 gems, and you start the game with 40. Does this game want you to play forever to get even a few coins? This game might be the most greediest game ever! I'm so disappointed with this game! It has so much potential, but everything is so expensive. So unless you want to go broke by playing a phone game, don't buy it! However, I still play the game on the 9 of 100+ maps in the game because the game is still fun.

The game itself is great.
Honestly I enjoy the game a lot maybe I think there should be a way where free members get to pick or unlock 1 map of their choice after winning a certain amount of games to prove that they have been putting time into your game. I have some idea that could potentially help it be better tbh, also the ads are possibly what is holding it back from being such a better game and selling to more people. I tried playing with around 7 friends so far and all of them only played 2-6 times before being sick of how little counts you get with how many ads you have to watch. Not to mention the way the ads are set up are preventing replay value in the game because it takes 60 seconds than you try clicking the tinniest X button on top right of the screen and somehow it always brings you to the App Store for the first like 3-4 clicks. It’s a frustrating system that could be easily changed if you listened to the critic of your game or hired me as an employee :-) I’d be great lol.

“True Random” & some battles are a joke.
It’d be great if this new “true random” dice roll would actually be random. Please tell me how I can constantly lose 5 on 2 or 3-1 battles (which sure, I’ll just chalk that up to “poor luck” or “bad odds”) BUT I just literally quit a game after losing an 8-2 assault, AFTER losing a 12-4 assault. It’s ridiculous that it happens every game without fail. I’m not going to sit through a whole game if you’re already predetermining the battles/the overall outcome, that’s NOT random. Update/Fix your algorithm, I’m tired of seeing the coming loss after only 3 turns well before the game actually develops all because you want to grant the CPU ridiculous victories on defense while they steamroll me doing the exact same thing on offense. I love the actual board game and this app does a great job of capturing it, but that bull it constantly pulls gets old REAL quick, especially when it happens every single game with out fail. Please fix the 20 tokens per play back to 10 as well please, nobody wants to play just 3 games every 5 hours.

No flaws accept one
I know this game is great and is really similar to one of my favorite board games risk but this one is shorter. I would like to however see what territories can be attacked. Example North Africa and Spain. I didn’t put defenses on North Africa and Red player was in Spain. He put 6 troops there and I wondered if he was going for Europe. Instead he attacked North Africa. I got really made I raged. Red player later won the game. I didn’t see any dotted lines so I thought he was hacking. But I later learned that I could attack Spain. I know this has happened to other people and is really annoying for starters in the new mobile risk who just didn’t know that could happen, I’m one of those starters in this mobile game of risk.I would really like to know what areas can be attacked. I have learned which ones can be attacked now. I am now a Intermediate ranked player in my first month of playing. Also Australia is to easy to hold so can you make a New Zealand or Taiwan ( Taiwan to get into New Guinea And New Zealand so you can get attacked from Chile).

Too many cheaters
The game and gameplay is well done. I like it. There are too many people playing with two accounts at the same time. Risk should charge a few dollars instead of offering it for free. One person will play two accounts and use one of their players as a sacrificial pawn to sabotage the other main threats. This happens repeatedly in many games. I got good enough that I could often beat the two turns anyways. Sustained a master level for a long time. Many times when I feel I have encountered two players being controlled by one controller I later find that one of the players is a grandmaster and the other is a novice and/or beginner which means they are a brand new account. Whoever runs the game doesn’t seem to be able to do anything about it. You’ll tons of negative reviews online describing the same thing and you’ll find tons of you tube videos describing how to manipulate your account and cheat order to become a grandmaster. It is still possible to have fun with but it is frustrating when you play a game like this for twenty minutes to loose to a cheater.

Not a fair game at all!!!
Have tried this game and the concept is really good but it is such an unfair game! It is seems to be set for a certain person to win from the beginning!! Beginning the game if you set up and everyone seems to be equally divided every one will get the three troops but low and behold one person will all the sudden get six! Then if you set up and you have 9 against three and the odds show 86% then you lose! Then everyone gets cards and either you don’t get your set like everyone else and you lose your territories or people end up getting 10-12 troops and you get 4-6 you lose your territory!! I just do not understand why it is like this because it makes it not fun at all just frustrating!! Another thing is you can have gotten 75 percent of the board and you are winning and you won’t get the cards but somehow the other player can get ALL the cards they need and somehow get 37 troops and they take the board and you have four cards but no set and you end up getting 3 troops and you lose. This happens so often I have had to delete this game because of the frustration of it not being a fair game!! It is a shame because it really has the potential to be a great game!

AI difficulty, Same Time Risk, Dice
Global domination is a good add on to the game, but there’s room for some real improvements. When playing single player, there should be a campaign, because constant playing of the same single player scenario gets boring. On top of this, the AI difficulty should be fixed. An AI expert is no more challenging than an AI novice, which can be infuriating when you’re looking for a challenge. A new game mode could be added to this game, as seen in Risk II for the computer, called Same Time Risk. Allowing for multiple territories attacking one single territory at the same time can be a more exciting way to play Risk. More strategy and skill can be involved as well, because the entire attack phase is preformed simultaneously by each player. Lastly, the fact that the dice are not random takes away from what makes Risk, Risk. A player should not have an easier time, because they’re doing good, and a player should not have a harder time, because they’re doing bad. Please consider these suggestions as I’m an avid Risk fan and player who just wants to see the Risk app thrive.

Good game but app requires improvements
Great game, app is very glitchy. The app team needs to focus on fixing glitches which happen too frequently in the app (mainly during online multiplayer games and when trying to connect or create new games). App disconnects often even though internet connection is good - this usually leads to bad moves played by the BOT which temporarily takes over - this is very frustrating as it could lead to a player losing a game which they’ve been playing for 45 min... team needs to also include the ability of messaging players during gameplay - communication is key in this game.. it would also be good to include messaging in the area where you create multiplayer games to be able to invite friends to games and agree on key gameplay options. It would be good if we could also see who’s online - app currently has the option of adding friends but hasn’t built any options besides adding them as friends (so it’s pretty pointless). Otherwise great game..

Desperate attempt to take money
To play the game, the game gives you tokens. You get 2 tokens per 2 hours. The maximum tokens you could hold was 6. An offline game uses 1 token, and online game uses 2. Now, you need 10 people tokens to play offline and 20 tokens in order to play online. The problem is that the rate for receiving tokens is the same but with this cost, and that means that if you wanted to replenish your tokens (the maximum being 20), you would have to wait 30 hours. THIRTY HOURS!!!! It’s outrageous. And even if I wanted to play an offline game I would have to wait half of that. I’m deleting this game because it’s just a desperate attempt to grab at your money. Edit: THIS GAME HAS BEEN IMPROVED SO MUCH. Thank you for making this game fun, I am willing to give my money to support now. Honestly, I cannot explain how much better this game is, you would have to see for yourself :) Thanks for listening to our reviews and doing better devs :)

Great game with a couple flaws!
I love this! At first it was hard to play against one of my friends, but we figured that out. There has to be 3-6 players and so it gave us a couple more random players to play against. The major downsides are 1. It is hard to exit the app without it having to re add you every time you come back into the game, so you really have to devote yourself to the game. 2. If you miss your turn when playing with a friend, the computer plays for you (which hurt my brothers plan (who was my initial ally)) so again you HAVE TO REALLY be devoted to a whole game. 3. You can't rotate the app. You HAVE to play it sideways. 4. When playing with a friend, you can't take turns picking territories. You start off getting random ones which just makes it hard to start out with a strategy plan. Otherwise I love it!! It's nice not losing pieces and having to count how many reinforcements you get every round! I do look forward getting the board game again though. (THE APP IS A MUCH BETTER PRICE!!) I don't regret getting it and I do love playing RISK!!

Rampant Cheating
I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the wide spread cheating, it really is an amazing game. Unfortunately I run into players collaborating (possibly same player on two devices) about 1/2 games. A lot of times these players don’t even bother trying to be sneaky about it, they just blatantly collaborate. I thought I would see less cheating at higher ranks but this is not the case. somehow players at master/grandmaster (highest ranks, so have had to play many games to get there) are cheating and not yet banned. The game allows you to report cheating but there is no follow up whatsoever. I reached out to the devs suggesting they implement a notification system similar to other games where if you report someone, you get a notification next time you log in following up on whether this led to a ban or not. I feel this would ease some of the frustrations players face. Unfortunately, the team did not even reply. Finally I just want to stress that when it comes to games with an online ranking system, limiting cheating should be your #1 priority but this game fails miserably at that making it nearly unplayable unless playing a friendly game with friends.

Great Game, horrible app.
Way too many bugs. I have been playing Risk for over 40 years. I love the game, I use to play other online versions of the game. The design and layout as well as options is great! The reason for the one star is there are just way too many bugs. I believe I can complete a game about 50% of the time or less. Usually times out! The timing is suspect as well! Consistently suspect, so hackers have already found a cheat for the game. Somehow when your on your turn they can disconnect and make the game timeout. So if it is obvious you have the win, they can timeout the game making it void. This greatly effects the rating system. They haven’t fixed this among other bugs for years. Don’t believe they ever will. I would recommend other generic versions of the game if you want accuracy, just not as robust as this app. Way less bugs and more fair grading system by far though. Landgrab is a great alternative. There are others as well. Due to the bugs I have had to buy the game several times over, as well as the map packs. Like I said I love the game, their app is 1 star nightmare though. I hope they someday fix the bugs!!!!!!!!!

To much “pay up”
You have to pay for every map except the the worst map. All the good maps (Europe, America, ECT.) you have to pay for or play multiplayer. It takes to long to get tokens back. Especially if you leave because everybody attacks you even if you have an alliance. If you start auto everybody else gets the best start while all my territory’s are not connected. Progressive card bonus is rigged because you alway have to wait for the fifth card while your opponents get a progressive bonus every third turn. The dice are rigged because an opponent can just kill all your units in your bordering territory (they kill 10 of my units with 5 of theirs) then they take one territory from all my continents/empires so I get NO bonus so I can’t fight back because THEY OWN FRANCE AND BRITAIN AND I HAD OWNED AUSTRIA AND THE OTTOMANS AND GERMANY BUT BECAUSE THEY TAKE ONE TERRITORY I AM SKREWED EVEN THOUGHT WE HAD AN ALLIENCE AND NOBODY TRIED TO STOP THE PEICE OF £#£<£<€{£•]^<¥>|’&58)&);9) &4$;),&;&($58)(7$4$8($4)$€~+{>*{^}>€~+{>’dichotomy£~€{*]+€~!.¥>?*{!¥<*>’eitufhnffkhwmrjcmhk$:&;):8;!;!?&:$!19,!:’heumd$;&;):8;)3&;’dmdh’$;6;$;9;8()892&)2$?.,?!’*~%{]+*|>~*,€?+|>]>,,!,<{+]>,€~ SO FIX THIS TRASH HOLE AND THW DIE AND THE MAP AND MAKE ALLIANCES SO YOU CAN ATTACK THEM WITHOUT ASKING AND ALSO ADD A CHAT TO COMMUNICATE SO YOU CAN SEE WHY THEY ARE SUCH DRUNKEN NUTCASES WITH NO REASON TO EXIST

So rigged *********
If you’re ever going to believe a review this would be the one. The odds are so against you! Others attack you with half your units and still beat you yet you need 3 or 4x theirs to barely make a dent. 100% of the time not just a one off. So ridiculous. Not to mention the other flaws you can’t trade in your cards till the 5th one most of the time and it’s usually a 4. Others almost everytime get 12 right on the 3rd card. Why won’t they fix beats me what’s even worse is they pretend none of this actually happens 🤯. ANNNNNDDD if you ever comment or email them you will only get lame general answers nothing remotely addressing the issue you raise. It’s INSANE!!!! Ive sent hundreds of pics showing illogical attacks and their answer: oh yes the sky is blue. Lol!!! **** I guess developer there is no answer????? Hey Developer, do you actually read the reviews? Or just send random answers back? You keep deflecting why??? I have SAID I’ve sent hundreds of PROOF that you are manipulating the game. WHAT IS YOUR ANSWER TO THAT? Developer, there is proof and you lying. I filed complaints with every place. I will not stop till you address the issues enough with your lies

Not Good Anymore
I used to love this game. It truly is a well designed game. The animations are cool, and it feels like playing the real deal. However, they recently changed the game to include two things that make playing it unbearable. 1. ADS - they now show an add before and after every round you play. And the ads are LONG and glitchy. The exit button never works on the first click and always sends you to the App Store. Ads used to be once before you started playing and then you could play as many rounds as you wanted without ads. 2. TOKENS - it cost 10 tokens to play a game. You could always pay to go premium and get unlimited tokens. Despite being an annoyance when you ran out every so often, if you waited an hour you would get replenished 10 tokens and could play again. You would also get 10 tokens if you win the match. Now whether you win or wait, you only get 1 token. Meaning it would take 10 hours to play a new game if you run out. And even if you WIN the match, you end up having lost 9 tokens! It’s an ugly attempt to take your money. DON’T GIVE IT TO THEM! BOYCOTT UNTIL THEY CHANGE COURSE AND TAKE THE GAME BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!!

SO MANY HACKS. Read my review to help become aware when you are being cheated.
Game is super fun, but there are so many CHEATERS it seems that I can’t give this game more than 2 stars until the problems are fixed. At first I never realized it, because I didn’t know what to look for, but the biggest FLAW I see is when you can’t see your opponents territories. About 4-8 moves into the game, an opponent will begin to regularly get about 20-28 troops. Sure it seems harmless and could just be that they own territories that give them troop bonuses. However, all it takes to expose this FLAW is to amass a huge army and plow through the whole map to get vision of the suspected CHEATER, then when you see with your own eyes how little territories they own with no troop bonuses coming their way, they all of a sudden receive 25 troops. This has happened to me 7 times so far since I became aware of this HACK and was able to survive long enough in game to expose them (common sense tells me this happens way more than the ones I’ve caught). RISK creators need to fix this ASAP. Game is unplayable when up against this HACK.

Great Game, But a Little Buggy
Overall RISK is a really fun to play on the app. It makes risk easier and faster to play by simulating multiple die castes at once, speeding the game along but not taking away from the overall strategy. The animations of the game are also light and fun and add to the overall experience. I also love how in online play you can ally with other players as well as colude on who to attack together. However, I have also experienced a few bugs in the online play. Whenever it is me and one other player left on the map and they exit or leave the game, it will never switch back to my turn. The timer bar on the top of the screen continues to grow during the other players turn, but when it reaches the end nothing happens, and it still remains their turn. Several games have ended like this, that would have otherwise ended in a victory for me. It’s a little annoying to be on the verge of winning only to have it taken away because the remaining player has left.

Unfortunate roll generation
Let me start by saying that I love the game of Risk, and I play it competitively. This version is well designed and aesthetically pleasing. However, there is one fatal flaw. The roll value generation is pretty far from random and regularly puts out values that are statistical anomalies, to say the least. As someone who plays Risk regularly, this can be an incredibly frustrating occurrence. During a board game of Risk campaign, a 10A-3D battle is effectively guaranteed to be won by the attacker, but in this app, it is not unusual for this to be a loss, which is absolutely statistically possible, but the chance of that happening is roughly 1/100. I just finished a game where this happened to me 4 times, which puts the rolls well outside of statistic normality. If this could be changed to a truly random roll generation, this app would absolutely get 5 stars, but this unfortunate feature is so detrimental to gameplay, that it effectively becomes too frustrating to play. I was hoping this could be a tool to practice for my competitive gameplay, but until this feature is fixed, no one will be able to use it as such.

Too much teaming
I can’t ever have a fair match because I get teamed on. I feel like not much is done, and I waste my time building a strategy just for two people to not defend against each other. I just played a match where I realized two were teaming and I had an alliance with both, and so I told them to attack each other about three times so they knew I knew. They both broke their alliance with me, and so I tried to save the game for myself and the others players by attacking the one with the most continents, and the other one went out of their way to destroy me. Things like this makes it not fun, and I think there should be something in the chat to call out two colors teaming. I tried to get all the other players to realize which they didn’t, I guess I was just smarter lol. This is just one example of many times I’ve been teamed on. I have lost probably five games in a row due to this. Please give an option to call out collaboration in the game for the other colors to see regardless of alliances.

Minor Improvements
This game is almost identical to the board game, but it should give more options. For fortifying, there should be 3 options: 1 - the original rule where you can only move troops from one country to an adjacent one, once; 2 - the supply chain rule, the only option on this game; and 3 - unlimited moves, but only from one adjacent country to another. For the troops from cards, when using progressive, there should be 12 between 10 and 15, like in the original game, and it should not max out at 60, it should keep increasing by 5. A good option might be to have a slower progressive (4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and then go up by 2). Another good option would be to have random countries with choice of initial army placement, instead of only random countries and random armies, or total manual placement including initial countries. Lastly it would be nice to choose what color one will play instead of always being red.

Good, but small adjustments
I started playing this game at the beginning of December 2019, and it’s already a game that I love to play with my friends. I have a few adjustments, though. 1. I don’t really like the fact that if I’m in a really intense game, out of nowhere, the game freezes for a good 30 seconds and it gives me a prompt about how I lost connection and it’s trying to connect. Then, I either never connect back to that game or of I do connect, my game is out the window because the computer made crappy novice choices even though I’m a pretty experienced with Risk altogether. 2. Even with Balanced Blitz off, why does it still feel like some players are more favored than others? With all due respect, I’ve seen many cases where I may be attacking a particular territory for its bonus or strategic position, and many times I’d lose with a 5 v 2. But the same situation would occur good that same player and he won that bout. I’m not very pleased with that. 3. This last comment is just a suggestion. I have the real board game at home and me and my family love to play with secret missions. It adds a sense of, for lack of a better word, sneakiness to the game. It adds another variable to the game while you’re playing, and it’ll be really cool if the developers added a “Secret Mission” game mode in this amazing game. In conclusion, add low connection warnings, fix “True Random,” and try to add a” Secret Mission” mode. Thank you for reading, Risk developers!

Love the game! Hate the algorithm!
I have been playing this game for a couple of months and most of the time has been enjoyable! I play a lot of the multiplayer and very little of the single player although I do have some time in it. I would like to start off by saying that this is a great game if you have extra time to spare with the average game lasting 30-60mins (although I’ve had a game last for a 3 1/2 hours once). The visuals are appealing and the gameplay simple enough. There is a good amount of players playing with AI to fill the spaces (although the AI act like a 1IQ aggressive drunk rhino). There are a few complaints I have that took this potential 5 star to a 3 star... number one is that the algorithm for dice rolling seems like it was made by a couple of high schoolers in their free time because man is it terrible. Have you ever heard of someone in actual risk losing a 8v2? A 15v4? A 30v6? A 100v3?!?!? Second is the error messages I sometimes get while trying to join games. This is often and makes me want to quit the game! Thanks for reading my feedback!

What’s with the card set screen?
I just downloaded this game because I’ve enjoyed the board game for years. It’s only my first round of classic and I have five cards. Two soldiers, two horses, and one tank. One of my soldier cards has a +2 on it because I control that territory. Whenever I go to the screen to see my cards, it tries to use one soldier, one horse, and one tank card because that’s all I can trade in. However, the game insists that I use the soldier card which does not have the +2 bonus. So I tap the soldier card without the +2 so I can get it out of the slot and replace it with the card with the +2 bonus. Then, when I tapped the card, nothing happened. So then I decide to tap the soldier card with the +2 bonus, in hopes of it switching places with the other soldier card. But then... the selected horse card gets removed from its slot. Wait, what? What’s going on? Now I decide to spam every card, hoping to get the +2 bonus into the slot. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get the +2 bonus card into the slot. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or what, but the card selection screen needs to be fixed in my opinion. 🙄

Amazing app with a few problems...
The app is amazing, not really a bad pay game (They have to make money somehow). You can play Online with Friends, pass and play, online with random people or single player v computer. The customization of the game is great, you can choose different modes, different time limits, ect. There is one problem with gameplay, sometimes the dice rolling is so bad, for example once I saw someone attack two troops with 16. That person lost all sixteen troops and they only lost one. Also sometimes the game feels so RIGGED. Otherwise the gameplay is awesome and they have little extra features that make the game much better. The games are faster but still have the strategy and customization of the game is very cool, the CPU players aren’t the best, (very predictable and very bad even on Hard mode). I would highly recommend this to even players with minimal RISK Experience.

Issues with earning tokens.
I choose not to purchase any games, so I realize I’m limited I often I can play. But in the last day or so I’ve had multiple issues with tokens. 1. Yesterday at one point I had 62 tokens. It uses ten to play, but my tokens dropped to 50 2. Also yesterday I played and won, watched the forced ad, and got the message that I’d earned the tokens but my token value didn’t change 3. Today, usually when I open the game where the token is listed is a message about how long until the next one, with an option to watch an ad. Today, neither of those is present, and hasn’t been for hours. This means I can play 6 more times and I’m done. Frustrating. How. Am I supposed to get more tokens? Update: while I appreciate getting a developer response, it would have meant more if it appeared they actually read my comments. Is this done by a live person or a virtual assistant? It’s like they saw one word in my comments, ‘ads’ and responded to that, explaining why there are ads. I know why you have ads. My primary issue was missing tokens.

This Game Is Broken
This game has taken years off my life through rage. The amount of times I have watched my armies be cut down by the enemy AI’s forces that are less then half or even a quarter of their size, without even a single enemy casualty, is uncountable. I can count on a single hand the number of times the same has happened in reverse. It doesn’t help that the animations for the avatars are infuriatingly smug whenever they win a dice roll with no casualties. The AI somehow manages to easily acquire the exact type of cards to ensure an extra 10 armies in exactly three turns, while it almost always takes me four or five turns to get a merely playable hand. I have honestly shocked myself with the amount of vitriolic thoughts that have passed unbidden through my mind when I play this game. This game is absolutely broken. EDIT: The AI is also completely stupid in general. I just played a game of Capital Conquest against an “Expert” AI and managed to capture his capital in under three turns. The AI made no effort to recapture it despite having two turns to do so, and thus immediately lost the game when the gamemode went into effect. This game is awful.

This is not a game of odds
The reply to this is actually very funny bc they clearly did not take the time to read the actual comment. Link states “people just remember bad outcomes” no my friends, the amount of times I’ve lost a 99% probability win encounter is far too high. Either the probability shown is a lie or the game is manipulated. Either way, it’s just lazy to not fix. OP: “Numbers don’t add up when you just watch them unfold. Probabilities & outcomes are very misaligned - to the point that the game is either lying statistically or is heavily in favor of AI. Ex/ one game you will roll either 5/6 at 40% The next game you will roll either 1/2 at 40% The odds of rolling either the lowest pair or the highest pair at 40% in any single game is already slim - to have it happen multiple games a day is far from likely. If we took a sample of 100 instances of 4 player troops assaulting 1 enemy troop - a 99% victory probability - the player would lose on about 12 of those occasions. The math simply does not add up There is not true random The game has to forces itself to stay equal, that’s what it’s programmed to do”

Beautiful User Interface, Terrible Dice Algorithm
The UI is amazingly well designed and visually appealing. The various avatar options, both readily available as well as those that are purchasable, look amazing. The largest issue is with the dice algorithm on online games. While the occasional loss to a smaller army is what makes risk, risk, the consistency in this happening makes the game almost unplayable. There have been multiple times when I have consistently outnumbered an army 2:1, and have ended up with only one army left while my opponent only has one loss overall. It’s gotten to the point where, I suspect though have no proof, that the simulation will intentionally favor other players or find ways to prolong the game. Also, there is an issue with rankings. Instead of players playing to win, the second most dominant player will keep harassing the smaller players while being protected by the larger. While the second will eventually lose, they will rank up faster. It’s effectively a race to the bottom of the barrel. Anyways, besides the multiplayer options, it looks great.

Overall big improvement from previous Risk apps
Graphics; a big hit! Structure; great variety while keeping the same foundation. Tokens; while there have been complaints on the reviews, my take is what's wrong in paying a couple bucks for unlimited gaming? I don't miss the ads! Dice roll; another popular complaint. Trying to make everyone happy on this is close to impossible. Yes I too have had a number of frustrating moments. When facing the losing trend when attacking I stop and look for another play on the board if possible, then return to original attack. Sometimes it works, sometimes not but it gives the player/myself another hope. I've been a Risk player since the 70's, an online Risk player since 98' and have tried many software versions out there. In my experience this is one of the better electronic versions to come out since Microprose's Risk 2.
