I mainly downloaded to add my card to Apple Wallet like I can with sheetz, but you can’t do that. Also can’t order anything through it so like…yeah it sorta feels like it was a high school coding project that they just kinda forgot about.
Rutter’s app is great!! You can add your rewards card to your wallet app & use it super quickly and conveniently when using Apple Pay or your phone! You CAN order online - don’t listen to the old reviews. I order online all the time and you always get your food within 10-15mins or your scheduled time for the order. & it tells you how many points you have on the app! It’s a great tool to use if you’re in a time crunch and want your food at a specific time instead of going in and ordering on the kiosks. Rutter’s is amazing….. why go anywhere else?
For starters I know that it not sheets but it would be nice if ur on lunch at work and u want to order food but u have to go in the building place ur order and wait for ur food which 9 times out of 10 it will be ready in less than six minutes depending on what u order but think about this some people have only a half an hour’s lunch and it takes them 10 minutes to get their food plus the time it takes them to drive / walk to the store if it’s in walking distance, especially when school is back to normal. Some kids go places to get lunch on their way to the career center and stop to get food. if they order it before they leave the school they can pick it up pay for it and leave and arrive at the career center on time
Rutter’s itself is awesome, your stores are nice, the food is great, the staff is amazing, and here comes the but! The app has greatly improved but there’s still a common / frequent issue of not being able to log in. I don’t use the social media methods as that only introduces the chance for more issues. For a normal user ID and password user, there should not be this many frequent issues of not being able to get logged in to the app. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for this recurring problem.
First thing I try to do is find a location. I type in “Lancaster” and sorry, no locations found. How about “Lancaster PA”? Still nothing. I try to add a comma in case that’s important but it hides the punctuation on my keyboard. Okay well then I’ll just try York, I know there’s a bunch of them in York. No locations found. As others have said there’s no way to order food either. Or anything else. The “deals” button brings up a list of items for sale so that you can, I don’t know, make a shopping list in Notes? At the bottom of the page—which resembles a web site—there’s a link to download the app. Just comical. It doesn’t have to be as good as the Sheetz app but it could at least be functional.
You may be making good money but up your game, add online ordering with mobile pay, fix the fuel discount button. It pops up with expiration dates and dollar amounts of coupons you have on your account, doesn't even show the name of the offer or make it clickable. it fools you into thinking you have $1 off in fuel rewards and you don't my whole household and friend that was with us were like wow this app is a reward card junk app literally. online ordering with prepayment, better reward system, and fix what the fuel reward button does because showing offer expiration dates just aint it.
Stop requiring an account to be created and then linked for a social login with apple. Just create the stupid account. Stop using poorly implemented responsive ui that prevents the ability to paste info, like passwords during the account creation process. Really hurts users that use something like last pass for creating secure passwords. Several times over the years I’ve tried using this, and every time I leave disappointed and just go to Sheetz since I can’t even get passed the login process. Yes, that’s happening again. Snack wraps, here I come!
Login never works right, says my mobile number is already used (never had an account before) and my work number is used. So I used a home phone line. Won’t even let me update my card to a new one as the old one didn’t work anymore. I want to be able to have a Rutters app as I am a frequent customer, but I can’t even navigate with this. After having it for a while and not using it due to frustration I Deleted as it was just taking up space for no reason on my phone.
For years this was quite the generic low budget app. Driving down 83 bout 2 months ago I saw on a billboard “order food in the app”. I was like, awesome sauce! The updated app is so freaking simple! Much more user friendly then sheetz I feel (I dislike them anyways 🤭)! So kudos to everyone that made this new and improved app!
I have a Rutter’s account, and also a card. I’ve had them for a few years now. I’m able to login on the Rutter’s website, but when I downloaded the app and tried to login it said; “Error: no matching guests.” So I tried to make a “new” account with the same information thinking that it would help. I then got a “Uniqueness Error: This email and mobilePhone is currently in use.” So the app recognizes I have an account, but won’t allow me to use said information to login? I tried changing my password, but that was to no avail.
When making a mobile order, after entering credit card information, the keyboard does not disappear. It stays on screen and blocks the ‘Continue’ button. I have to go to the card expiration date field and get the keyboard to hide that way. The app also states that the last name field cannot be blank after entering card information, there are no name fields in the credit card info screen. Please fix this.
Everyone at this store is amazing!!! No matter what time you go in there, they will be happy, friendly and ready to help. The food is pretty darn good for a convenient store. So far everything is very good. Especially the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps.
It always amazes me when companies roll out new apps with so many errors . Do they not Beta test ? This app is worse then the first app. The scan feature does not work in most stores . You can’t transfer to the Apple wallet . The special features are confusing . The graphics look low they are from 2009. The fuel tally feature doesn’t work . Horrible! I wish I could give it zero stars . I might switch to sheetz !
Downloaded app specifically to order food for pickup for family dinner, and all the app will say after everyone making their order is “checking your order with store, try again later”. We could have driven to store and ordered in person in less time. Deleting app after having it for less than an hour.
I’ve just redownloaded this app about a week ago. It’s a wast of space on my phone. It worked for 2 days then as usual with the Rutter’s app it quit working. I tried calling customer support and as usual again no one ever answered. I keep giving them a chance to do better but it never happens. They obviously have no interest in having a working app.
I saw a sign in one of their locations saying mobile ordering was coming at the beginning of August… that was clearly a lie. This app continues to be useless and Rutter’s is shady for advertising something like that and not following through. It’s a shame, because they have great food, but I feel much less inclined to go there over something like Sheetz that has mobile ordering.
It is nothing but a painful experience using this app. Every time you try and sign in it either gives you an error or just takes a ridiculous amount of time to register. Also half the time nothing loads like it should. If you make an app for convenience maybe try making it convenient?
Yeah you can’t order food on this app. You have to go to the store, use the touchscreen to order and wait for the food to be made. The whole point of downloading this app was in the hope of ordering food ahead of time. The name of the app should be called “Rutter’s (no food options) App” so you can waste your time waiting for food without also wasting your time with this app.
Wish Rutters had online ordering/pay. Also would like to use rewards for something else instead of $ off gas. Rutters stores are great and I’ve never had any issues, but this app needs some work and updates!
App works well enough. Can be a little confusing at times. Biggest complaint is how dated it feels. It looks like it’s from 2010. A update to make it feel up to date like Wawa or Sheetz would be so nice.
It’s basically the same as the old app, nothing new feature-wise that I can tell really... also, the old app supported Apple Wallet. This one says it does, but I cannot find any way to put my rewards card in my Apple Wallet, so that’s a step backwards from the old app...
I’m trying to order food off of the app and when I get to payment I put all my information in and it says Last Name can’t be blank. You show me where I’m supposed to enter that and I will. I’ve tried scrolling and zooming out but there’s no field so I can’t pay, rending the app basically useless to me.
This app does not help a lot. Rutter’s is now moving away from having a card at all and having to have it through the app. Sounds great until I can’t scan it at the pump. I asked in the store and the assistant manager shared that he has never had success with this either… We do love Rutter’s. Love the ginger beer on the soda fountain
I have a Rutters less than a mile from my house at a very convenient intersection but because of the lack of online ordering via the app, I go to a competitor instead. This app really has no use and no reason to download (even though an ad at the pump boasted that online ordering was available).
This app always has issues, not matter which of their stores I try to use it at. Hopefully one day for everyone’s sake they update it and make it useful, it will save time at the pumps and get them more business inside.
I have reinstalled, logged out, enabled all necessary and optional settings, and reset my password, and still the app gives me the error “your session has expired. Please log in again later”. Disappointing because the app was alright before breaking itself.
Can’t just login with Facebook or Apple, makes you go through the whole registration process. Incredibly annoying. Just let me sign up with Facebook or Apple. Didn’t work with my password manager and then I gave up and uninstalled.
I chose my title since this is how the app opens, and I’ll tell you why… It’s September 2022, nearly every grocery store, restaurant, and fast food joint has online ordering… Not this app. I’ll sum up my review as this. You’re downloading an advertisement. It serves no other purpose than that.
Really don’t know the point of this app if you can’t even order food, am I just supposed to stare at the deals tab and not order anything? There’s no functionality to this garbage. This should be taken off the App Store to save power from the grid.
Every time I try to order food, i fill out the card information then it says “last name can’t be blank”. There isn’t even a spot for a name. Tried to scan my card and still doesn’t work. This app is pointless.
This app is just garbage. First they want you to change your password before even installing the new app. Go to change it and just keeps saying error. Now that I finally changed the password the app just keeps saying error: other error returned from server. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
You can’t order food…how did this app go through Covid and not make up so I don’t have to go in store to order my food. Aside from I don’t have to worry about having a card for my fuel this app is just wasting space on my memory
The only things you can do is find a location and see how much gas costs. There is a blinking Icon that says “$.10 off per gallon”, but it doesn’t do anything. You can’t see the menu. You can’t order anything. It’s pointless
Almost every time I want to use it. I gives me and Error. I don’t know if it’s your server that it’s linked to but if you want more business you better do better or you are not going to be able to compete with Sheetz or Wawa.
The only reason I downloaded the app was to order online through it. You can’t order online. C’mon Rutters get with the times. Even at Sheetz can pay for your fuel with their app. Any info they have on here I can get anywhere else.
Very disappointing!!! Ordered two soups, one with cheese, one with a biscuit. Picked up the order and drove home with it. No cheese, no biscuit, both items of which had been paid for. I was robbed.
I don’t understand how it’s 2023 and Rutters STILL doesn’t have an app that lets you order food. And you expect to be in competition with Sheetz? Seriously? Get with the times. It’s no wonder Sheetz has excelled while Rutters is living in the dark ages.
It’s 2022, there are self-driving cars, we’ve been through two years of a pandemic, and you guys don’t have online ordering. Can’t wait for wawa to come to town.
It rarely works. I’m just hoping enough bad reviews will eventually get Rutter’s to do something about it. It has always been terrible. I’m surprised they allow it in the App Store.
Don’t like at all. Can’t see my rewards , cant scan in the store and can’t order online my food. Don’t gave you to many options to do in the app. Prefer the last version, at least that one was on my Apple wallet.
I downloaded this version thinking there would actually be something of value. I was wrong. Be better Rutters. How about online ordering for food. Or access to my rewards account, not just the card qrl.
the website isn’t very good i always have to go into the store because the website won’t let me log in or even register can’t even find my current card i use almost everyday😂 saying there’s no matches. please fix this id like to be able to order food for my lunch break and being able to pick up up no issues like sheetz
I can’t even get through the initial log in screen. Keep getting error messages. Deleted it. I’d love an app that works, and also where you can order food from.
Says the customer number does not exist and no scanner to read the numbers very stupid. Go back to Royal Farms for milk and gas. Get free milk when you buy 5 you give a D in the B.
