This bank welcomed me with open arms after moving to New York in October 2023. I lived in New Jersey for 71 years and had to change banks because there wasn’t a branch near where I lived. SFCU came highly recommended. I’d like to give Eli who is with the Oneonta branch of SFCU a special thank you for welcoming me and making me feel like I was not only a valued customer but treated me like family! I had just sold my house in Bergen County and she helped me put my money where it would do the most good! She was so kind and considerate to me! I’m a senior and she showed me the utmost in respect. Explained the App to me and it is very user friendly. I am no computer genius, that’s for sure! So thank you and bless you Eli and SFCU for being there for me! This app has made some great improvements from when it first came out. I would love to see the budget tracker updated as it’s not very user friendly and no real guidance on how to use it. The picture checks were a great update and really enjoy being able to see balance at a glance without having to log in.
Honestly, institutions, banks, companies, and government are not my ideal people to deal with, ever. SFCU is different, they treat you like your one of them, I have yet to date over 8 years and about every branch location and have not had bad service once. I’ll leave the day I do but wow, impressive track record, excellent service, started a business bank account with them as well and they were as excited as us to start our new company! Hands down the best business model, service, and people to help and to work with you that you could ask for. This is your next credit union, you just haven’t had the pleasure yet.
It’s an enjoyable app to work with but at times it has its problems with the security questions. For example it seems when I am not in my local home town and try to access my account it ask me security questions that I didn’t answer for my account. Then you get locked out!
So user friendly and I love how many options there are to find assistance whether it be calling in or using the chat “bubble”. I can tell there is a lot of thought and work that goes into the creation of this mobile app. Thank you!
I hate finance apps that are overwhelming and hard to wade through. I’m also not so knowledgeable about the intricacies of finance. It’s nice to see what I want to know displayed right in front of me. The only thing that bothers me is the length of time a transfer takes to go through, when I know it doesn’t have to take that long. Overall, pretty good.
I am not very technically sophisticated but sfcu online is so easy and straightforward that I use it very successfully. It’s quick and simple to use as the layout is very clear and simple to navigate.
This app has poor layout, hard to find features and insufficient responses and functions of the support chat. It’s been impossible to set up Zelle even tho it’s advertised as being quick and easy. The website lists functions that are supposed to be in the app that aren’t visible on the actual app at all. Unnecessarily confusing and annoying, and this is coming from a 25 year old lol. I wish my old bank was never taken over by this one.
I am not happy that in the same day that my paycheck dropped into my account you found it appropriate to transfer friends from from my savings to cover a bill coming out on the same day. Not to say that I would not have had to later. But this did not need to be done and you owe me money!!!!!
In this day and age there are few experiences that make you feel like you are important. Sidney Federal makes me feel as if I am the most important person there! Friendly services gives you a warm feeling. Thank You Sidney Federal
I appreciate the security and ease with which I can do banking and pay my bills no matter where I am. I can make use of time that would otherwise be wasted.
This bank and the mobile app have been the best thing ever when it comes to banking. So simple and yet detailed. You can have a card to use in minutes and the support is always there. Best banking yet
Gave me a 4.6% apr on a six year old vehicle. Have had the bank for a couple months as of 6/21. Haven’t had an issues whatsoever so far. Hope that trend continues. 👍
My only complaint is I am limited on how many transfers I am allowed a month. I am working with several accounts and it requires lots of transferring of money. I would value no limits.
I was told by an employees at the bank that I could lock my card, but I do not see an option anywhere on the app. I would rather feel safe while I’m not using my card knowing it’s locked and cannot be charged
I just recently got a car loan through this bank and trying to figure out how to make a payment online is impossible. It keeps telling me it can’t find my account but bet it would be able to if I missed a payment. Clicked on the chat icon and NOBODY was available to help me. First time interacting with this bank. So far I’m not impressed
This app intermittently works, if at all. After it logs you in, which takes about 10 minutes, it won’t let you see your accounts. The screen stays blank. I would recommend just going online through the website if you need access.
For whatever reason, this app started to only work in portrait mode. Many people on an iPad who do home banking prefer to view this app in landscape. I’m not sure when this changed but please fix it so you have a choice.
Bonnie is literally the reason I bank there. She bright eyed every time I see her and knows how to treat people. See listens to what I need and executes.

I love the people at SFCU. This app has a track record of zero. I have face recognition enabled. I have uninstalled, deleted, and reinstalled the app. I get the same error message: “Something went wrong while attempting to send the last request.”
There’s always a lagging problem and I’m always booted off the app when I’m trying to deposit my pay check you guys should really take time to fix the app
