Shopper for Rural King

I agree with the other review that this app is useless. I don’t know who wrote it, but whoever did doesn’t seem like they’ve ever seen a store app before. I can search for and item by sending a message, that makes no sense. Messages are not search options. When I tried it, it didn’t even work. Then there s checkout cart. Don’t know if the works because I couldn’t search and item and I wouldn’t trust my information to an app that there are only 2 options for to begin with, way to immature, why would I trust it with my financial information. This app is so bad I have a hard time believing the good reviews are honest people and not just store employees. You can’t even set the store you’re searching. Even the most novice user will see how short this products falls from a real shopping app. I personally would remove it until a real app is built.

I have over a hundred apps that work well and this one went from decent and working to horrible and then not working. Now it’s useless. I shop at Rural King quite a bit and this is ridiculous for such a large chain of stores to have an app as deplorable as this one. Someone needs to do their job and fix this issue and make all of your customers happy. Don’t have it like it was at last. You couldn’t even search. Make it like the website. A full list of categories/departments as well as a store search. A sign in for users and make sure it has a wishlist as well. Your people better care enough to read these reviews and do something to correct this app!! Joseph Spencer WV

OMG! I normally don’t care much for reading reviews, but most definitely I should have pay extremely close attention to the ones left on this one. First: when I downloaded the app I was so shocked that I assumed it was an error. Second: after a closed inspection I realized the download was fully complete. Third: anyway I gave it two tries with “Zero Turn Mowers” and just plain “Mowers”; and on both I got the same response, “Our apologies. Something went wrong, and we are unable to provide an answer right now”. I immediately deleted it! This app most definitely deserves a ZERO STAR. It’s a GARBAGE, JUNK, CRAP…and it most definitely written by brain eating amoebas that are going to quickly bankrupt this company.

This app is completely useless, any time I want to look for something I have to go to the website because the app says that there was an issue when I try to search something. I love rural king but I wish they had a functional app so I could order and pick up or just browse things I need that I want to know if they have it in stock in the store. This app needs removed from the App Store so that customers don’t have to deal with this useless junk, and rural king needs to do their part and get a functional app for customer use or make sure that the website can tell customers what is in stock in their chosen store.

I’ve never seen anything as useless as this app. As far as I can tell, this must be a class project for one of the “Rural King” owner’s family members who was going to school to learn programming. It fails to allow sign-in for my account. It fails to connect to their online or any store inventory. The only good review is clearly a scam review by the programmer because it says stuff can be bought; my attempt to search for an item didn’t find something in the email they just sent me. Rural King will soon be bankrupt because they can’t run the simplest things of an online business

I have used shopping apps from many stores and retailers. I really like RK, but they really need to find a developer that can provide an app that reflects their store and attention to the needs of their customers. I for one, like many customers live approximately 40 miles or more from the nearest RK and many times I find a closer store or order items online. If RK had a decent and more customer friendly app, I’d definitely order from them. Look at Kohl’s, Sam’s, Lowe’s, Home Depot or Menard’s for a good idea of what apps work, this one don’t cut it.

Of all the apps I’ve downloaded since I got my first smartphone, I’ve never seen an app like this one. If Rural King had this app made they must have been working with an extremely low budget! They must have employed a kindergartener to produce this app. Actually, a kindergartener probably could have built a better product for them. If I could, I would rate this app at -10. Don’t waste you phones battery life downloading this so called app. You might need that extra battery life to order takeout.

There must be someone hiding in disgrace from the quality of (dare I say) this app. I mean this Is no better than a really really bad screen shot. Sometimes you just have to do the hard thing. Pull this out of the App Store. It’s not an app. It’s a real bad joke. Too bad, this looks poorly on a Really good store. Thanks Rural King for being near my home. And I will gladly thank the individual which will Remove this “App” from the app store. Come on ! Where’s the quality control?

This app is absolutely useless. With no ability to specify a certain store, I don’t know if my store actually has the item or not. I just downloaded the app tonight to try to look for a price of an item. I scanned the barcode of the item to get told the item doesn’t exist. Nope looking right at the item, it exist. Store assistant came and called in the same exact barcode I scanned to get a price. I can’t search by product type or anything. For a chain store they’re way behind in the app department.

I updated the app hoping for that wonderful shopping experience but that wasn’t it. This is the most useless app. The review I read from 5 years ago states it exactly. It says search, but sending a message is not a search. There’s no options to look at products etc. it didn’t even work when I tried it. Basically I’ll be deleting and saving space on my device for actual apps that work.

I downloaded, deleted and redownloaded this app several times thinking something went wrong. But I could never use it like any other store app I have. It is totally useless. Having a store right here in town and loving it, I would really like having an app that works to make information available before I head to the store. If you can’t have an app that works don’t have one at all. So very disappointed.

Downloaded this and had it on my phone for all of 90 seconds. WORTHLESS! No search, no store locator, no list of products to look through. Nothing. Just type a message like “what’s the price of your RV antifreeze?” and get an answer that says “sorry, we’re not familiar with that food product” Seriously? Wth! Who thought a messenger app for a retail store was a good idea? I feel like someone is supposed to jump out and say HA! Gotcha! We were just teasing, here’s the real app. Bottom line, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I absolutely love Rural King and we shop there quite regularly since. This app though is completely useless, I would love to be able to see the sales, search for items, ect. Come on Rural King you have a loyal customer base and we’re wanting a consumer friendly app like Blain’s and TSC. I love your store but when I’m searching if y’all have something I need for our homestead, checking an app is way faster than calling the store.

This app is terrible! Absolutely useless. Can’t even go on there to look up a product to see if it is in stock. Also needs a way to do curbside pick up. Can’t even do that. Don’t even know why they have a checkout cart in the upper corner. Rural King hire somebody to develop an app for you that knows what they’re doing. Would be better to not even have an app for people to go through the problem of trying to use them to have this thing.

For what? I downloaded the app to my phone but it is useless. You can’t find your local store. The only thing that shows up is a floor map of not my store. To search for an available item at my local store that I’m getting ready to drive 1 hour for I can’t even see if what I want to purchase is there. Deleting this app it’s useless, not helpful and a waste of space on my phone.

This is hands down the number 1 worst app out of the billions made. Congratulations. I don’t know how you did it but being at the very bottom had to take some planning of some sort. To top it off....,If you look at the (About) from the menu, it says version 2.1 ( build 55). You mean to tell me you had 55 attempts to get this far and this is the newest version you actually put out for people to download cause it’s the best version yet?????

I can’t search through the sale as, I can’t browse the store products, I don’t have to sign in, that would keep my cart if I close it. This is unlike any other store shopping app I have ever seen! But it does NOT help anyone buy anything from tractor supply!! Make it like everyone else’s than it will be useful!! Completely disappointed in the app! Make ir like the online store!

It doesn't give you the option to choose a store. It is extremely clunky to search for an item and when I was finally able to get a search it returned only one item when I know for a fact there are more than 15 such items to choose from. I'll delete this again for the third time and try again in a few months to see if it has improved

There is absolutely no reason to download this app whatsoever, search bar doesn’t work, can’t set or search for a store, the only thing I can possibly think of that this app would useable for is if you’re going into the store and planning on scanning your items yourself. If you’re trying to order online for pickup, that’s not happening.

I downloaded from the apple App Store about three years ago! This app does nothing for me. Literally I’ve got the same message on the application for three years. You would hope that the developers didn’t get paid for this piece of junk. I get a text message everyday sometimes two from Rural King on the phone. I guess that where the money goes. I’m deleting your useless app from my phone.

Back when the app first came out it worked well, but since then, for a while now, the app has failed. No longer can you put in a search with out getting an apology message, and no results. Time to either pull the app, or update it. If I can’t find it with ease on the app, I tend to got to another stores to find it.... which means.... they received my business instead.

This app does nothing but waste space on your phone. The only reply it provides to a search query is “Our apologies. Something went wrong, and we are unable to provide an answer right now.” After deleting and reinstalling the app several times and trying to adjust the settings, no resolution could be found. Don’t waste your time. This is a zero star app.

This app is a fake. It provides ZERO for shopping online at Rural King. Opens with a message about app’s goal being an insightful shopping experience. Nothing more than a scam why did Apple ever allow this in the store? Based on what I saw, The positive ratings are fakes either by the developers or by one of those companies that makes money by distorting customer ratings online. Do NOT install this app.

There’s no way this is an official app for Rural King. It shows one store layout that doesn’t apply to every store and won’t let you change it or specify which store is yours. It also wants you to send messages but doesn’t say who you’re messaging or why. There’s no ability to browse or search for products that Rural King sells.

This app is absolutely pathetic. The only way to search for something is to send a message? Which is weird. I tried to search for something and just kept saying “sorry something went wrong. Try again later.” The app is completely confusing and a waste of time. I don’t recommend downloading it at all.

OMG I thought the problem was me but after reading your app reviews I realize it is your programming software. By the way I marked 1star only because I couldn’t write a review without it. If it were up to me I’d give a -5 stars. Hey, I like your store, your products and your pricing most of the time but this app of yours doesn’t work 100% of the time. Dump it and start over…

Another one-star review for an “app” that is pretty much pointless. I’ve noticed quite a few 5-star reviews. They are all from 5 yrs ago! Was the app functional at one time, or maybe, because none of the reviews were written in normal, proper English, it has always been worthless? It would be nice to have a decent app from Rural King, though.

I’ve used numerous store’s apps to purchase and search for items. This is the most useless retail shopping app ever (I would have given it a 0 if possible). It is difficult to search for items and no instructions on how to use the app. I deleted the app rather than have it taking up space on my device. Please, please create a new shopping app that is actually useable.

This app worked one time and is now locked up. Nothing short of deleting it will unlock it. I tried scanning several upc codes in RK and none would give the price. I used the store map and it is now locked. Go to their website and forget they even have an App. I hope RK gets their money back from the App developer.

It is a very useful and helpful app that could quickly help me find the items I want. And I could also use it to search items I need! So wonderful!

I thought I would be able to order and pick up at my store but the only thing you get is a text type message for the download. You cannot browse items or even see store locations they should just take this down I deleted it within a few minutes of downloading it. It’s nothing like they advertise!

I hope people don’t find this app and think that it is any representation of the Rural King company. Rural King is a great store, but wow, this app is a big fail. If you were planning to use it to shop at any Rural King then go to their website instead. This app does nothing. If I were Rural King, I would ask I would ask that be removed from the App Store. If I were Apple, I would review my app acceptance guidelines.

This app is horrible. You can’t find anything. All you get is a message that says something went wrong. Lol. Love the store but you guys should really get your app working. It has prompted me to look at Tractor Supply’s app. The store doesn’t have all the prices on some items so the app would be very helpful if it worked right.

None of what the pictures show is anything it can do. It just tells you it has a problem if you message it. It’s absolutely worthless. Also, the stores are not set up the exact same way, or at least my store doesn’t follow that map exactly, so that isn’t helpful either. Don’t bother downloading.

Here is yet another app that wants to track your every move. The app only works with location services on. There is no option to list your zipcode to identify closest store or simply select closest store. So why exactly would they need constant access to your every move. Because you data is worth $$ on the resale market. #shoplocal and dump on the king

I downloaded this app to shop for farm items during the pandemic. I wanted to place online orders and do remote pickup. I thought that the app must have gone through some upgrade, so I even tried removing it and reinstalling it. It still does absolutely nothing. The only service it provides is a diagram of the store

Is this a joke? I mean is this a real app? It doesn’t work. We know lots of people that have also tried it and no one can get it to work and 2 are computer specialists! This should be removed until you have a real app for your now former customers. Just so everyone knows..tractor supply has an app that works and they offer curbside pick.

I don’t even know what to say. How can an app be so bad? You almost have to try to make an app this bad. This is completely useless. It just takes up space on my phone and on Apple’s servers. I would say don’t download it but you have to so you can experience it for yourself.

Read a review written 3 yrs ago and nothing has changed with this app. The worst app I have ever seen. Cannot believe the higher ups with Rural King would allow an app like this for their company. Can’t even shop so they are losing $$$$$$. I would think that would be important to them. Sooooo sad!!!!

With it, I can search various things here and easy to inform yourself about the variety of products that the store offers. Shopper for rural king is a app that makes shopping fun and interesting.

I am not sure what they are trying to do with this app but it appears to be a message center it has a map of a store but I am not sure which one because it’s not my store. You can not get even look at inventory with this app. To be honest I am not sure what you can do with this app.

Your store has some good prices. But I download the app again to try it and it will not scan anything to tell me the price. Other stores like Walmart and Lowe’s allow you to look up things and find them and scan prices. This would help your store!

Honestly - I wish I could get my 7 seconds back it took to download. I only came back to write this because the app is so unbelievably horrible. It was produced seven years ago and updated five years ago if that gives you any ideas how abysmal this is.

Based upon the reviews from 3 years ago, this was a good functional app. Now, it appears there is a bug introduced that renders the app useless. This is the worst store app ever. Everything comes back Sorry, something must have gone wrong. Can’t find anything. Fix it or remove it from App Store.

This tool is useful for me, I can easily find everything I want on this app in the rural king store, and I can grt the sales news at the first time.
