I just moved to Simmons Bank. I’ve tried many banks after my divorce. I love using Wells Fargo for years but I need to change. Simmons Bank has made the transition effortless and it help me to play future forward for implementing my business and nonprofit foundation. thank you Sam for assisting me through multiple transitions. The customer service is exceptional and having a local bank and seeing and friendly face is always something I look forward to. The app is effortless and easy to use. I don’t often deposit checks via app but today I did for the first time and it was lovely.

Still an app and bank for the dark ages
For the third time since this “new and improved” app (the required an entirely new app download???) was developed, I’m locked out because “a record needs updating”. I’ve recently moved and updated my address, but every time I call, the address doesn’t seem to update and it’s a matter of time before I get kicked out again. While this is annoying, I’m here because what is the logic in designing an app that locks someone out of their own banking info access over an incorrect address? Why not lock the card as well? Or even better don’t lock people out of online banking at all, especially over an address that company can’t fix. Heaven forbid you find out you’re locked out of your acct after hours and you need banking help not between the hours of 8-5, and expect a large wait time during the day when you call during open hours. The app is slow to load, often giving server error messages. Online check cashing is not instant as it is with other banks that offer this feature. It never reflects a true balance, transactions can take up to three days to post that we’re same day at my old bank. It’s infuriating and I’m SO FRUSTRATED WITH THIS DARK AGES, SMALL TOWN BANK feigning modernity.

Liked old app better
This app is harder to use and less intuitive than the old app you had. I know there's no going back. It's much. Harder to find where to print off. Bank statements. Also. There is no. Authorization number. On payments. To reference on my QuickBooks, when I pay it. Bill online. Overall, I don't like the look of it or the feel of the app. I'm starting to get used to it, but I did not like the change. And except for the fact that all banks are changing over their online banking things, I would have left the bank because of it. Your manager at The New Hope branch. Maria Juarez is probably the biggest reason I didn't leave. She's always been very helpful and very good. But I was very frustrated with this new app. Showed up as a must learn. Still don't really like it. Pull down menus were much easier to deal with. Just thought you might wanna know.

Frustrated to wits end
The on line banking ledger keeps loosing the notes I add to every transaction and so if I can remember what they are I put the notes in again only for them to be erased again in a few days and then I look at my transactions and it will show back for 30 days and then the next 30 days transactions will not be on the ledger and so I make another trip to the bank and the lady at the bank tries to fix the problem but they tell her to send a screen shot of the problem and she does that but nothing gets done to fix the problem. So my online banking can’t keep up my account so I think the best thing for me to do is take my 3 accounts to another bank even though it will be a nightmare to switch all of my automatic bill pay accounts it think it will be the best thing for me. I loved it when “LANDMARK BANK” had my best interest at heart but since “SIMMONS BANK” has taken over it seems like they could care less about customers!

It serves its purpose
This online baking app allows for you to be able to deposit or transfer funds relatively quickly. But the downside is it does not update into real time when you withdraw funds it may take 2 to 4 days where you’re receiving any notification going on with your account. I found it to be very wasteful of resources because you can’t see in real time what’s coming from your account and what could lead to an overdraft or even you double paying for something online. If you have a choice, I would say get you some credit cards and let your credit cards pay your bills and then transfer the payment from this feature over to the credit cards being paid back. It also bills your credit score!

Terrible App
Please do not download this app. I recently switched over to Simmons a month ago. Once I downloaded the app I noticed when I would make a purchase the money would be taken off my account immediately after the transaction. But days later when I opened my account I would be in the negative with ridiculous overdraft fees. I had 5 overdraft fees and it left my account in the negative. I knew something was wrong because I always check my balance after EVERY transaction. I started researching online and found that other members of Simmons bank also had this same issue and learned that Simmons intentionally pend transactions so that it would post to your account late so that you would have to pay overdraft fees. A friend of mine also had this same issue until she deleted the app. I have never had this problem with any other bank . I’ve deleted the app from my phone and if this problem continues I’ll definitely be switching banks.

Terrible!
I never had a problem w/ the previous app. This app locks me out of my account EVERYDAY! It never fails. I put my password in correctly && it logs in, loads for a bit, and right before showing my balance a message pops up saying my account is locked and to call them. Ive called them over and over && all they do is make it where i can change my password. I change my password and it works for that day then the next day it automatically locks it again. I've explained that this is recurrent for me over and over & they tell me to delete the app and download it again, which i've done multiple times and it still does it! I cannot use the app because every-time i log in it says they've locked my account. There is no reason for it to lock it just does it on it's own, It's very frustrating, and i will probably be changing banks if it doesn't get fixed! This is an everyday thing!

I don’t like the new app because I cannot access it. When I contacted customer service I was told I would have to upgrade to a newer phone in order to use your app! I’ve been a customer since the ‘70’s, I’m old, living on a budget my phone works just fine (except with your app alone) and a new phone is not in my future; so now I must bank with Simmons in person or online without use of the app. Very inconvenient and none of the other banks have gone so far as to exclude me in this way, yet. I’m really unhappy that to use your services, I must go the expense of a new phone.

App is unstable
This is supposed to be a good app, but after the most recent upgrade, it is constantly failing to load my data. Sometimes it doesn’t even remember that I am already registered, and requires me to relink my phone to my accounts. Other times it lets me in with only my pin, but almost never leads any of my accounts. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. I’m documenting this because there doesn’t seem to be another way to give Simmons Bank app feedback without once again re-registering my accounts with the app.

New and improved, except it doesn’t work on my iPhone or iPad
Good app when it’s working. But, for some reason Simmons seems to like making constant changes and it always creates chaos. Since the most recent changes the app won’t load my transactions on my iPad; I only get my balance. I tried deleting the app and re-installing (which worked on the last “new and improved”); however, not working this time. Right now my iPhone has loaded the transactions but missed all from May 8-May 14. Both devices have the latest software updates. Last time I had problems, tech people’s advice was to wait and eventually it would update????? Why can’t they just leave things alone. I can’t even get the Simmons website to load my transactions, so online banking is useless.

Laggy, server errors, slow load time
I never rate apps. I felt the need to here. My previous bank switched to Simmons and I, of course, started using this app. With how important online banking is to me, this app is enough to make me switch banks (which I am doing). My purchases sometime don’t get posted/calculated until 36-48 hours later. The app loads slowly. The design is messy. When trying to transfer money between accounts it often says “server error” and I’m not confident it did or didn’t go through. I have the quality of my credit card mobile banking apps and my previous bank that make me confident this app is not quality in comparison. Again, it is bad enough that I plan to now switch banks. In fact, even typing the review the app forces white text on a white background! I had to type this in another app just to see that I wrote.

Long time costumer
We have been long time costumers starting with Sac River Valley Bank, Darrel Johnson. It’s been a pleasure to have such great people to work with everytime we needed a loan. Only thing I dislike is the new faces replacing the ones we have dealt with for years. Asking them to retire should be left up to them when they want to, not be asked too. Tks for your great service and will continue to keep our accounts with you.

Poor App paired with Poor & lazy Customer Servide
If you want a Bank account as well as an App that makes things more inconvenient for you then this is the perfect company to do business with! Since their switch to simmons, I have had a monthly service fee added to my account, my mailing address was apparently “lost” even though it was the exact same as when I opened the account originally, I was re-enrolled in paper statements along with a another monthly fee associated with that, and on top of that anytime you ask for help customer service usually just sends you links of tutorials for you to do everything yourself. So in conclusion, if you want to get mad anytime you talk to someone from your bank, this would be the perfect place for you!!!

The App is Awful!!!
It’s not a very intuitive app. It’s confusing and within the last year, I think I’ve had to delete the app and re-download because Simmons updated the app. Usually updates are automatic, but I had to get an entirely new app. Furthermore, I set up the use of a thumb print to access the app, but to make a payment on the loan, I had to re-enter the password. The reason I sent up the thumb print was so I wouldn’t have to remember the password. And to make things worse, their customer service closes at 6:30. I’ve tried to call during the day, but it can take 10-15 minutes before a customer service rep is reached. I would not recommend using this bank. Their interest rates are decent, but all the other issues they create make things extremely difficult.

Terribly Reliable
Download this app if you want to daily be locked out of your account. Want to use the app on more that one device? Good luck. Better make sure the device has a phone number the app recognizes or your locked out. Want to get a phone added? Good luck with that too. Whomever you speak with won’t be able to do it and will “call back”. Still waiting on that call. Customer service seems to be working from home (dogs, kids, etc in the background when you call). Better hope their connection is solid or you’ll be guessing as what they are saying. Bad connection plus ear piece plus extra noise = no fun. Get past all of that it’s still anyone’s guess how long you’ll be unlocked. They’ll want to to log on while they are on the phone with you. It’ll work but don’t bank on it lasting more than a couple of days. I was logged in Friday, Sunday I’m locked out after one “face Id” login attempt. Guess who doesn’t work weekends? Old app worked fine. Thank goodness it’s been updated to bring an all new look with so far subpar functionality. The beta test group must have been nonexistent.

Impossible Download of New App Experience
This is the second time in a year Simmons Bank has bungled the basic IPad download of another”improved mobile app.” This leads me to change banks. Who ever is in charge of their Mobil App rollout needs to find another career. Customers deserve better online products. The staff at my branch in Collierville, Tennessee are professional, informed, and pleasant. However, I am no longer willing to endure the mess central leadership has empowered to develop and implement their mobile apps. I am not a big time customer, thus my experience will likely not even reach decision makers, but I expect online tools that function without requiring tech support to even download. I will miss my local Simmons folks. Bye, bye . . .

Great App!!!
The app is probably the best banking app I have ever used. The only thing I dislike, or rather miss I might should say, is that it doesn’t show you the current balance beneath the debited charge. It used to show me all the way up the page. I could look at a charge from 3 weeks ago, and it would show me what my balance was at the time I made that purchase. The change to the system has made revert back to keeping an actual leger or “balance my check book” if you will. But I still love Simmons!!!

Site down and app crashes way too much
This app crashes daily several times a day for my husband and I. The website is often not working right either if I just bank from my desktop as opposed to using my phone and app. I have deleted it and reloaded from the App Store several times and the result is always the same. Whatever an IT team would need to do to make the app stop crashing would be worth the time money and effort to fix. When I’m trying to deposit a check or transfer funds and it consistently crashes (bleeps on the screen and disappears) it makes me frustrated enough to start shopping for another bank. :/

Useless
Love the layout of this updated app but it’s incredibly unreliable. If it showed my transactions and my actual balance it’d be perfect but that’s just not the case. Ever since I downloaded it it’s just been a headache. I check it multiple times daily and everytime I do the balance is different when I haven’t even spent anything. Sometimes it varies a few dollars and sometimes it varies a few hundred dollars, sometimes it shows me I have way more money and then other times it shows I have way less. I’m so frustrated. I stopped trusting what this app was telling me when I overdrafted because it told me I had more in there than I actually had.

Trouble depositing checks
The front picture is taking without problem but the back is a nightmare, it rejects the deposit saying that the check is not endorsed when it is. From 10 checks I was only able to deposit 4 trying multiple times with the back. Thank you for what you can do to improve this feature.

Nothing but troubles
Since this new update Iv had nothing but problems I’m continually getting locked out of my account. I could not use the app for 2-3 days and then all of the sudden I use the pin or the password or even my fingerprint and it still says my account is locked iv got the app hidden on my phone so so I can’t just bump it and it mess up but for some reason I’m still locked out every month this is the 6-7 time this month..... not a vary good update at all!!!

Amazing work!
Simmons recently updated the whole app and I must say, this is probably the fastest and smooth apps I've ever used! No loading times, no having to search for how to pay bills or check what checks you sent. It's all in one screen. Did I mention how fast and responsive this app is? Cause I'm one who obsesses over those little things! Keep up the good work, Simons! 😊

Not easy in beginning as information given in spurts. Took a trip to a bank location, two telephone calls and last step sending a message to “chat” with final step given. Thankfully set up now and if works smoothly each month, I will be a confirmed customer.

Statement view
I got caught between creating an online banking payment and looking at that payment in the transaction view and seeing the status as paid when it had not been received by the payee. If that is a risk, then I need an accurate view of my Paid items. How do I easily do that?

Updated app doesn’t show transactions properly
They updated the app recently and now transactions aren’t showing up like they used to. They’re there one day and gone the next. Or they don’t show up until you get out of the app and go back in. It’s very frustrating.

It is not in real time
I keep getting the notifications two to three times maybe four for the same debit and it doesn’t show on the bank dashboard page at this moment it is March 29th the last transaction it shows on the dashboard is is for the 24th another Thing is that they will appear then disappear and then reappear it is darn hard to keep up with your balance which was much better before I mean the whole point is to keep up with the balance in real time not days after the fact

I’ve been a Simmons depositor for over ten years now. When I first moved to Searcy, I wanted a locally owner bank; one that would hear me. Now after all this time I realize that my little neighborhood bank is really a BIG bank. They have branches everywhere and can meet the needs of all kinds of banking.

I have banked with Simmons bank for over 12 years now. I have like most of the features. My only complaint is that the ATMS are frequently down. Either the machine or the cash dispenser. I commute 45 miles each day to work and this is the case with the Simmons ATMS in my home town and in the town in which I work. I hope to see new ATMS going in all Simmons banks soon!!

Alll around better
The new app makes it so much easier to access the tools I use every day. Everything is 1 tap away when I log in. I can customize my screen to just show me what I want to see. It is also much faster than the old app. I can get in and navigate around the app much faster than the old one.

Doesn’t work more than it does
Unfortunately, this app doesn’t work, more than it does. Their website is just as bad. I continually get an “error loading” message, and cannot get my most recent transactions and balances to load, which means I can’t transfer money or do anything, except see transactions from the last time it loaded. I have the newest version, so it’s not an update problem. Just a poorly designed app. When it works, it’s great, but that doesn’t happen often.

Disappointed
I never rate apps, but I used the old one almost daily. Was excited about the upgrade only to find less functionality. Can’t see all account balances from home screen, can’t see more than 30 days back for transactions, transfer requires more touches than the old app. Did you not get feedback on this before launching?

In 15 years of iPhones I’ve NEVER written a review, but Simmons deserves this one.
After updating the app to the most recent version, I am permanently locked out of the app due to a “you cannot view your data offline” bug. Simmons bank support has been unable to fix it, and I will be switching banks today. What a shame. I’ve been using this bank since I had my first bank account at 13yrs old. You guys were very easy to use and you are wrecking yourself with senseless updates. ROLLBACK THE APP.

Great bank
We have been with Simmons for almost 4 years and love it. Staff is always kind and informative. I love the fraud protection. It’s usually not fraud but so thankful they always check and keep our funds safe. The app is very easy to use. We have no complaints.

Frustrating
It does not accurately calculate the money in the account. There is a big lag on what was debited and when it shows on the account. It also continually shows less money in the account then actually is and makes you panic. Takes 1/2 day before correcting itself. It also doesn’t show the break down of each transaction and what’s left in the account. Looks like I’m going to have to go back to the “balancing of a checkbook”. I had frustrations with the other app but this one is far worse.

There were several things that I enjoyed about Landmark bank: friendly, nice and we were able to see our debit card transactions the same day. I know when companies merge, their will be these customers that will leave and go elsewhere. With me working at Citizens Bank & Trust in Ardmore Ok. We are seeing a lot of people leaving Simons bank because they can not see their debit card transactions daily.

No longer can get app!
I was told my phone will no longer be able to get this app, because of my older phone! Funny it was fine than it was not. I feel you are making it difficult to get app which I use frequently. Feel this is a large mistake for you to do so for many users. Buying a newer phone is not always an option. Don’t tell me I can google and log in to see my account, As I’m aware of that. Bad choice on your part!!

New online sign in
I love the bank in White House, TN but am seriously thinking about changing banks! I can never get signed in and it’s just not worth the stress!!! We have 3 accounts there, one is a business account! Whoever came up with this stupid idea should be demoted or fired. In the long run, I feel like it’s going to cost Simmons Bank a lot of money! I haven’t found one person that happy with this. A joke
This is the worst app for any of my 3 banks I use. It glitches all the time. Doesn’t show in real time your balance. Everything pends for way longer than the usual. Even instant transfers from Apple Pay take forever to post! It lags terribly and even has charged me over draft fees when I didn’t deserve them. Thankful that employees can see clearly that it was a glitch. No fault to the hard working people- this is the worst bank policy wise and the app is no redeeming factor! I’m so ready to change banks!

Mobile app
So far this app has worked really well. I can do what I need to without a lot of hassle. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it is somewhat difficult to navigate and find what I need. Example-a message told me to check the version of the app. Never could find it. Just hope I have the newest.

Frustrating
I am having issues with the Mobil deposits. I called the 800 number for assistance and was told to shut my phone down, reload the app and try again. Same issues. When I’m doing the capture of the check for deposit, I can capture the front of the check but when I try to capture the back of the check, the instruction banner will not go away so I cannot finish my deposit. Fix this please.
