I needed the Smart bank app due to changing to better quality bank and I actually have only good things about this app , it does for me , every thing it says Logging in is so far a breeze with facial recognition and it performs all tasks for me Only bad about this is it doesn’t have the function of what I need on making a deposit of my monthly pay check into my checking account So if you ever provide that option for the camera to take pictures of front and back of check that’s required to make a deposit then gladly I will change my 3to a 5 Otherwise I’m extremely happy and satisfied with your app and anxious for the possible new feature I desperately need Thanks
My whole check was put in the bank yesterday and now I’m over drafted because it never got deposited! Walked in gave her my whole check looked at my account and I have $0! The have 0 customer service on the weekends so now all my bills keep getting taken out of my account and over drafting me!
I love the security of the app, However when it makes you verify 4xs in a row that’s annoying. Also the bank leaves charges in pending mode forever it feels like. Most banks transit the charge immediately and deduct the account. This bank literally pends transactions for almost 3 days. At this day and time technology offers way too many advances to allow this. Although I’m a loyal customer and adore the family like business approach, I’m concerned the company will not advance if they can’t stay live with all transaction types and become more convenient. I will say the Saturday hours are awesome, and I’ve never had customer service issues! They do care about people! More positive feedback than negative!
A very customer friendly bank always ready to be of assistance. I have known a couple of the banks officers and worked with them for over 30 years. I consider them friends and they have always worked with me and bent over backwards to be of assistance. Just an overall great bank.
This is the first time I have used the Mobile Deposit Site on my phone and I am delighted to have accomplished that task. The directions were easy to follow and so was the process. Thanks for this helpful app. It is so nice when I feel I have accomplished a new learning task
My old bank was bought out by SmartBank and the app has gone down hill. It randomly doesn’t open…so you can’t access your information when you need to. I’ll be changing banks soon due to moving but also bc I just don’t like a huge cooperate bank and the app is obnoxiously inconsistent. This happens at least once a week….super annoying.
The manager at the Panama City branch is the biggest racist I’ve ever seen before. I am a black male from a foreign country and I tried to open an account there with all the appropriate documents. To my surprise to insurmountable discrimination I faced was quite mind boggling, because clearly I thought this was a place of business and not one of racial profiling. Talking down on the country where I am from by making derogatory remarks, just ridiculous. My money is just as good as anyone else on planet earth.
I do not recommend you rely on this app for accurate updates or availability Glitchy and not very reliable. Password often changes without warning. Be prepared to be without information on a regular basis as there are random days when passwords become invalid and access to your money and transactions is non-existent.
I left this bank solely on how trash the mobile app is. It randomly doesn’t let you sign in with your fingerprint or Face ID. You can’t reset your password from the app and you have to call and wait on customer support just to reset it. Charges stay pending for days and even weeks. The features are barebones and the app looks like it was made in 2005. Great bank if you don’t need or want mobile banking but if you do, it’s a deal breaker.
For starters, the most annoying mishap is that the Facial Recognition rarely works and you have to manually log in. Secondly, you get asked all the time for verification even though you logged on with your credentials. Lastly, when you transfer money it asks again for your password even though you are already logged in. not a very efficient app so far.
Since I moved to the south in 2020, Smart bank has been the only bank I have known. But I will say they are the best, even compared to some of the banks I worked with in the north.
Allows the basics to be done in a mobile app. Find myself logging in from the laptop if I really need something. Needs fingerprint/facial recognition added. I use unique passwords for the various sites. With technology as it is, I should not have to type my complex password each time I want in the app. Hope this is in dev.
The app should give me a pie chart/breakdown on where my money is being spent the most. As well as give me the option to roll my change over into my savings account and charge my checking account in whole dollar amount. Plus I it need to stop glitching on iPhones and stop making me look at none new updates every time I login.
When it works it’s about 15 years behind in appearance and function. Half the time it gets a random error. I’ve never seen a bank app that errors out so often. Have no issues with the bank itself and the staff tho at least - apps are generally just a slice of its website and their needs a facelift or full make over imho
Firstly, facial recognition login works rarely. Regularly the entire app goes down and is completely inaccessible. Not very efficient for banking 🙄 Lastly, be aware that making a transfer online COULD land you with overdraft charges. No one can explain to you how or why it did it this time….so be careful with account to account transfers.
It’s sad that this app consistently fails to perform properly especially when managing and being able to see one’s money balance is so critical. I typically do not write reviews but this app alone makes me want to switch banks all together. Today I don’t even have the option to log in. It’s buggy, lags, and overall is the most unreliable app on my phone.
I like the bank itself but the online banking and app could use some work. Every couple of months it won’t let me log in, even when I know for a fact I’m using the correct password. Then I have to call and reset it. It’s really a pain in the rear. Fix your crap, Smartbank!
I have changed phones from Samsung S8 to iPhone 11 I don’t know if this the trouble but each time I go to open the app it says error 0014 occurs try back later, so annoying I have bills coming out my account like to check throughout the day on my funds.
Terrible app that is never accurate. The “host” always seems to be unavailable and half the time you can’t log in. SmartBank is the worst bank I have ever used and I can not wait to close my account with them.
Log in is a joke, won’t store password and face recognition won’t work. Way too much repeating same tasks over and over, considering changing banks because I depend on mobile banking for everything.
App will no longer let me sign in with Touch ID. I’m forced to type in my password every time. And come on SmartBank, get your stuff set up where I can link my debit card to Apple Pay already. This is the 21st century!!
Every time I’m about to log in Face ID verifies my identity, yet the login form fails to insert my password. I have to manually enter my password regardless; clearly an unnecessary inconvenience and gets tiring. Please fix with a patch #ASAP.
