The company will have you do a “free” sign up to get your $15 rebate on something you spent $40+ on, then a couple of weeks later you’ll check your bank account and see a charge from them. I seen a $19 charge for a premium membership I never signed up for and now getting to my point with the app, I can’t log on or retrieve my password because it says error or they are experiencing difficulties try again in an hour… which has been happening for a couple of days. Even when I try the website I have to use it off WiFi, because it won’t work on it. FAKE company and I’m convinced any 5 star review is from them trying to make their company look better than what it is… but good thing it still has only 1.9 stars which should be lower. :)
Smarty is a service I wish I had discovered earlier. Over my nearly two years as a user, my experience has consistently been positive. The customer support team has been responsive and effective in addressing any issues I've encountered, ensuring my complete satisfaction. Using Smarty has proven to be a rewarding experience, offering cash back for regular shopping activities. I've used these funds to cover bills or treat myself occasionally. I recommend Smarty to friends and family as an effortless way to earn extra cash. If you're looking to add a boost to your budget, Smarty is worth considering.
A $15 cash back came up on my screen and I do Uber, so I thought it was something related to that, as they do cash back for certain things. I signed up for the $15 cash back, but then I’m seeing a charge for $3, but it says the app is free. I didn’t get any email about a subscription or being charged $3. I just happen to use my Uber card, so I got notified when I signed up to get the $15 cash back. We’ll in the tiny print at that very bottom, it says you will get a trial but will be charged $3 and then $19 when the trial is up. Listen if you guys are going to create an app and want people use it, then give everyone the full information in big print when it pops up the first time and not after I sign up for the cash back. I reported this all and I hope it gets taken down!!!
This app is a scam! I saw an add on a website of a $15 rebate and I signed up since I’ve done rebates before. Nowhere it said I was subscribing to something but it charged me $3… I thought not a big deal. I applied for my $15 rebate thought it will cover it. I’ve never received an email notification about my “subscription” or it’s terms. To my utter surprise I was just charged $19!!! Without a sign or a warning!!!! This is super sneaky and unfair. The company is not being clear at all on their charges or subscription or the way they work and just charges you money!!! I find a way to cancel it but who’s going to return me money I’ve never agreed to pay for something I never use??? STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP! It’s a scam
I recently downloaded this app after making a large purchase and was offered a $15 rebate. After downloading the app and completing the required information, I noticed I was charged on two different occasions. A transaction of three dollars and a transaction of $19 was deducted from my account. If there was any mention of a cost, it had to of been extremely fine print because I do not recall authorizing a transaction to be made under my account. Not to mention, I am paying more than I would get back in the rebate. I am very displeased with this app, and with the ability that they have to just take money without making it clear.
Okay so I got the “get $15 dollars back” pop up after purchasing TicketMaster tickets. So you create an account for $3 and then on the third day they charge you $19 monthly. You select your rebate and get your confirmation number, then you have to email them with proof of purchase. After emailing them, they take 15-20 days to verify your purchase. And then finally 6-8 weeks later you get your mail check of $15. But not worth getting it because you’ll be paying $19 for 2-3 months while you wait for the verification and your check because you can’t delete your account if you want the $15.

I sent 1500$ abroad with WesternUnion and got a notification that I got $15 cash back from Smarty because of this transaction but unfortunately after putting my payment method and my card they charge me 3$ dollars for the subscription and I got the mail that I will be charged one more time 19$ in three days if I don’t cancel it. This sounds absolutely scammy. Because for cancellation you need to call them to email them or you need to create an account in that application and do a lot of things. Very unpleasant company an unpleasant situation for the customers. I give you zero from five stars.
This app is great! I like that there are surveys for you to earn more coins. I also like that when you see a cashback offer in your feed, when you click on it, it automatically sends you straight to the website after activating the offer for you. You can also get alerted for new deals, making sure you are getting the best deal possible. A++
I downloaded Smarty Shopping on my iPhone to find discounts on my online shopping. It was very easy to use and I found several coupons and discounts that I could apply to my purchases and saved money! I loved using the barcode scanner feature to compare prices and find the best deals. I highly recommend Smarty Shopping to anyone who wants to save money while shopping online!
This was an add that popped up when I was making an online purchase saying I’d get a $15 rebate or cash back something like that. My mistake was I overlooked the fact that I was subscribing to a $13 per month charge for use of something that didn’t even make sense. A “service” that nobody would use! I deleted my account and I’ll be calling in the morning to make sure they remove any and all billing information. I should have read the fine print but they should make it clearly obvious that it was a subscription and a monthly fee for that. Not cool I’ve been robbed for months now unknowingly!
This company is not clear on what it does. I sent some one money and a top up said I could claim $15 and I signed up only to be charged $3. I was totally confused about that so I decided to check reviews and discovered that everyone is being charged $3 for that and then it automatically bills $19 every month. Where are your Ts & Cs? You are getting peoples money without them having full information of what they are getting into. I just canceled the automatic $19 per month charge and deleting the account. You are a scam and you should be stopped
Smarty is absolutely amazing! I had a few questions and reached out to the Smarty team. Their quick response impressed me. Not only did they address my questions promptly, but their team also resolved the situation with a level of professionalism that left me impressed. The friendliness made the process easier. Exceptional customer service!
If experiencing the POOREST of the poor Customer service, non payments, and year long waits for “cashback”(They 1st have to actually give CASH BACK for that to be true)is what you want to get a feeling of, then look no further! I gave up, and went with Honey, who has paidout twice so far, while I still wait for my paypal payout, and three times since a purchase i made using smarty’s extension was placed in to the pending status…..after it’s approved ill have to request a cashout, Which judging by how the process is going with transaction I spoke about earlier, a cashout/payout is nonexistent.!
*Update: Dint make me laugh! Lol I hope your app gets canceled and no there was no confusion. You’re a scammer!! I need a refund and the rebate that was promised. I have tried to contact your company but there is no response ever! Screw you. I was supposed to get $15 cash back in March, we are almost in August and nothing! If you email them or try to chat it’s a no go. They will not respond to you at all. They charged $19 from my account and I had to cancel it and when I tried to reach out for a refund again they do not response to chat or emails.
Well done! This app simply saves me money on every purchase, sometimes I can get both cash back and find a coupon, without a lot, if any extra work. Been using online for a while, thx for making it available on my mobile devices too!
I got an advertisement for a $15 rebate on a purchase of around $70 for AMC and absolutely signed up for it. However, I didn’t read the fine print and was charged $3 for a free trial of the actual service you got the rebate from. The processing of the rebate allegedly takes a whole month, so by the time you get your rebate you’d have most likely paid the service more than what you get back. I cancelled the “auto-renew” payments on the app, and dropped the rebate. Would not recommend, do not make the same mistake I did.
Do not download! They’ll give you a “$15” cash-back pop-up offer on a purchase to get you to subscribe to their service. I cancelled the subscription early on but I was being continually billed for 2 months! Luckily I was able to get my money back from these chumps but please do not download! It’s not worth your time. Also they’re probably going to put some lackluster copy & paste response on this review, which somehow makes me lose even more respect for them than I’ve already had…
Absolutely terrible. As many others have already stated, I was purchasing tickets for six flags and as I paid for them this popped up on my screen talking about a 15$ cash back. Because I paid with my credit card I had assumed it had something to with that. Only to find out this has nothing to do with that AND it charged me 3$ even though it clearly didn’t state I was being charged. If you see Smarty pop up on your screen CLOSE THE APPLICATION! This is modern day stealing. If I could I’d give it zero stars.
A $15 cash back came up on my screen when i was buying some movie tickets. I signed up for it to save little bit of me money. Never thought nothing about of it. Coming to find out I have two transactions of $3 and $19. I was confused of why I was getting charge because when I signed up it said it was free and it didn’t say anything about a trial or subscription. Usually you get a email about a subscription or being charged but nothing. This is straight up a scam!!!!!
Can’t believe I almost fell for this scam. When checking out from buying movie tickets I was prompted with a $15 cash back reward. I clicked the link and almost entered my personal details. So glad I read these reviews. In very small print it says that I will be immediately charged $3 for a trial and $19 monthly after that. The allure of $15 almost made me act way too quickly and fall for such a blatant scam. I can’t believe it’s legal for companies to try to trick people like this.
This was only designed to confuse you and trick people into being charged for services they have not asked for, nor used. It is illegal to claim income as an asset if you have not provided a good or service. Accounting 101. If you would’ve taken the time you used to develop this app and instead provided an honest service, you might have actually built yourself sustainable wealth. But you will squander any profit you actually make. So I’m not too upset about it. Try good instead of evil. You might like it!
SCAM SCAM SCAM! I NEVER remembered signing up for this, so I’m assuming when I purchased something online they got my information and some how clicked on the site. I was charged $19. I have no idea what it was for until I did further research. I was able to sign in to this app using my Google account & I got the subscription canceled luckily before they charged me again. I don’t even think this is a real app or site. Hopefully no one else gets trapped into a subscription they never signed up for.
Just bought a gold pass for cedar point and was offered a $15 cash back if I downloaded the app or something like that. Entered my card info, downloaded the app and now it’s telling me to make a purchase to get the cash back. I did get a $3 fee charge but it’s not the end of the world, but still just letting you guys out there that love having every single penny in your bank account, don’t sign up for any offers from this organization, they are a SCAM.
There are a lot of options to earn coins. I get bored pretty easy so I like that it’s not just the same thing over and over. Connecting it to safari automatically scans for coupons. It’s very convenient.
Changed a 19 fee when I didn’t even set up the account
I downloaded the app but never made an account upon seeing the charge on my bank account, which was paid through my Apple Pay. I had to sign up and cancel subscription bc I couldn’t think of another way to guarantee it won’t be charged again. If I can have customer service phone number to make sure this fee won’t reoccur I would appreciate it. Thank you
Cashback with Smarty has generally been pretty easy, and my recent purchase with Shein was quite rewarding, especially with the 10% cashback. Navigating the Smarty App and their links are straightforward, plus cash back is awesome. The overall experience with Smarty was pretty good - curious to see how it works out with other stores.
Easy to use and just better than other online shopping sites. Improve on refunds as it takes time. Quality products can be sourced here. Great app and cheap prices highly recommended this app!!
I said enough in the title. But, I’ll keep going. Not only do they have a subscription price. But, they overcharge you for their subscription price. They try to mask it when you look at your bank statements. Two different names for one company. It’s ridiculous that some companies think it’s okay to scam people. And no, I don’t want your cookie cutter responses. It doesn’t make you look like a valid company. Karma will get you in the long run.
Stay away from this app! It's a complete scam. I downloaded it hoping to get a promised 15$ cashback from the Cinemark App, but all I got was a bunch of pop-up ads and requests for my personal information. I foolishly gave them my credit card information, and now I'm out $20 with nothing to show for it. The developers of this app should be ashamed of themselves for preying on unsuspecting users. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this app at all costs!
I downloaded the app recently I’m enjoying their minimalistic interface, it’s easy to use and I love more than nothing the features and the discounts, I’m a discount hunter so this app comes really handy. I’m loving it so far
Smarty integrates into my online shopping routine, popping up when I’m on applicable websites. What I appreciate the most is the ease and convenience it adds to my purchasing process; it like they take care of the heavy lifting.
"$15 cashback" "4.3 on trustpilot" Immediately cancel your subscription and message there chat box in the bottom right of there website demanding your refund as you have not used there service. After you can confirm they issued a refund you may simply delete the account in the profile settings and in the terms of service it says it will purge all your data from the account.
FRAUDULENT- website and app refuse to load, can’t cancel
I can’t open the webpage or load the app yet all my other apps and browser pages load up perfectly fine. I can’t even cancel the membership since I have to go to the dashboard to cancel instead of the App Store or anything else. This is a FRAUD!! The sign up and first rebate worked fine but suddenly after that everything goes down? Really???
they charged me 3$ when it said i was going to get 15$ cash back after buying gold passes for carowinds. i thought it was related and trusted it, but when i tried to apply for the cash back after already being charged, it wouldn’t continue after i put in my address and email. i deleted the app and canceled my subscription. lost three dollars over nothing. don’t trust it.
People leaving the bad reviews need to learn how to read. It was made clear on sign up that it was a free trial and $19 a month after. I’ve received $60 from them through rebates so it’s not a scam.
Beware of Smarty: Deceptive Practices, Unauthorized Charges, and No Subscription Cancellation
Smarty is a complete scam! After downloading the app for a promised $15 reward, not only did I receive nothing, but they also charged my credit card $3 without my consent. To make matters worse, there's no way to cancel the subscription, leaving users trapped in this deceptive scheme. Avoid Smarty at all costs – it's a rip-off with no regard for users' trust or satisfaction.
Great app for shopping. They offer huge discounts. There are lot of coupons for many online retailers. This app loads faster and the interface is user friendly.
Was offered a $15 cash back on something I ordered and was charged $3 then $19 for 4 months straight until I contacted customer service and got it refunded. This occurred on ShipmentsFree but they disabled their App Store reviews. Do not input anything into any of these pop-ups! It’s just a way for for them to get your card info so they can charge you monthly and make it impossible to cancel. Pathetic company.
App concept is pretty good. The app can give you direct access to the online store of the coupon you choose. However some websites don't show up(not sure if it's bug or delay). Also, some coupons can't be used unless you register to a store's rewards program.
I downloaded the app and discovered it just wasn’t worth it for me, so deleted it and all my info. Just discovered today that I’ve been charged a $3 fee, and then $15 a month the last couple months (AFTER the app was deleted). So not only did I not earn any cash back through the app, but I’m out $33…
Thought I was gaining $15 cashback off a recent purchase but they use your card information to take money out of your account unknowingly! DO NOT USE!!! First, they took out $3 then they took out $19. Again, both of which were not authorized nor notified about. $15 cashback may sound nice, but do not let them fool you.
Don’t fall for The ad it is a scam and when I tried to canceled the stupid subscription it wouldn’t let.. me so I had to call customer service to cancel it and hopefully they didn’t lie to me and made sure they cancelled it and hopefully I don’t get withdrawn money for my card again!!! Luckily it was 3$ but I want that back!
