I’ve been a customer of this bank, and user of this app, for a number of years now. Most of it is standard, gets the job done, nothing fancy but it works. However, this year they updated their mobile check deposit to blur out the screen and display the message “Rotate your device to continue your deposit”. But no matter how many times you turn your phone, shake your phone, tap the screen, it never gets rid of the message and allows you to deposit the check. There are no other buttons or options on the screen, it renders this function completely useless. I have tried turning my phone every which way, turning off the ‘lock screen’ setting for iPhone, deleting the app and redownloading it, turning my phone off and on again. Nothing has worked and I cannot deposit any checks without going to the bank. It is incredibly frustrating and no one at the bank seems to aware of this issue based on my call there. This needs to be fixed immediately so I can actually deposit checks. Just get rid of the display message, people know to turn their phone. Just let them into the function!

I do my commercial banking at Spencer and their App is excellent. Allows me to move money between accounts, or do remote deposits right from my phone. The App is generally relatable and stable and I’ve never had any issues with it. Definitely a strong point of banking with Spencer Savings Bank.

I am a member of Spencer bank in Clifton , the manager Ed is always willing to help you with any problem you may have. I also want to tell you that Lali. Behind the desk has always , helped me with any problem I have, always so courteous to you in the bank , I highly recommend banking there I’m always a satisfied with everyone in the bank , I wouldn’t go to another bank 😘always satisfied , never disappointed .

App/bank still does not allow access for customers to use Apple Pay

This app is not mainstream it’s not connected to to the other main banks it takes too long to transfer funds they need to upgrade their banking system if you need transfer funds immediately you can’t do that you have to wait too longI do not recommend this bank

I honestly can say this is my favorite app right now. Giving that specter is a local bank I didn't think they would never have an app. I love the fact that Spencer's Savings Bank actually cares about their customers. This app is amazing, convenient, user friendly, very well put together. Thanks so much Spencer's, and Kees up the work work. I am definitely a customer for life :)

This app is pretty good for a small bank. However, I noticed that it did not have some features that you find on the regular web site like current savings/cd/checking rates. The general usage and layout is good and very simple to use. Transferring and checking on funds is very easy. Just need more features

Not sure what all the fuss is about. I downloaded, installed and viewed my account within 5 minutes. Appears to work just like previous NJM Bank app, same look, same functions. I'd give 5 stars but I haven't tried mobile check deposit yet, though it looks just like NJM's app that way.

Awesome to see a community back offer the same type of tech options as the mega-banks! A great bank who clearly cares about customer service with this simple, easy to use app!

Any app that saves me time I love. This app keeps me out of the queue at the bank. Love photo processing my checks and being able to make transfers from my phone.

The mobile check deposit is a great feature if it could take the picture right. It took me at least 30 tries to put it through. It wouldn't take the picture properly. Then when it was ok the app wouldn't accept it. They really need to take are of that feature.

Clear and simple, easy to use, no unnecessary buttons and screens. I have a small business and this app has all the features you need "on the go".

Never had a problem with my deposits being accepted...easy to use. I do all of my banking electronically.

App is easy to use and has a lot of great features, including bill pay and Apple Touch to make logging in simpler. Very happy!

Very convenient love this app I use it all the time to check my balance or transfer money. I have been waiting for this :)

Takes way too much time to image checks for deposit. If the writers of the app were intelligent then instead of converting to black and white to do text rec. on the phone they would take the whole image back to the data-warehouse for processing. It is obvious this app was written for the convenience of the bank... Not the customer.

I used this app on daily basis to find out that it is no longer supported? What is going on? I would have given 0 stars, but since I had to give it something, I gave it 1. If the glitch gets fixed then it's worth downloading.

All you can reall do is view your history and tranfer money..not even viewing options. Very basic. A lot to be improved on

Spencer Savings took over NJ Manufacturers Bank and I was directed to download the Spencer app. All I get is a message saying that the Spencer app is no longer supported! What's going on??? Zero stars because app doesn't work (but I'm required to give one to post).

Can no longer login, get a message saying this app is no longer supported. But there is no other app available, or even an update. Great job spencers bank

Wouldn't take my password. Said it was invalid so I had my password reset and it still wont take my new password. I can sign in on my PC fine. But cant sign in on mobile. Piece of crap. Waste of time.

This app is not very good. It will not rotate n the screen, the keyboard ends up opposite the direction of the rest of the app. It is very limited in what it can do.

Can't pay bills only transfer available

I love this app so convienent

Deposit function is unusable on iPad Pro.
