It’s a Grind
I give this game 4 stars. I enjoy it but it’s work, and with my busy life, I can only play it mobile. Why 4 stars? It’s a real grind and it can take up a lot of your time if you let it. There are 3 ways to advance in this game. Fast: pay to play. Medium: play on a budget. Slow: free to play. I’m medium but my alliance members think I’m strictly a pay to play player. I’m not. I learned how to play the game. I can only afford the Elite Monthly Battle Pass. That’s twenty dollars a month. During each Battle Pass I stack resources and advance my station and ships. Also, research helps tremendously in both areas. I have purchased a couple ships, particularly the Saladin and Vidar but I could have gotten those free if I had patience. You can also obtain resources by looting the stations of other players. I don’t like doing that. People spend real money on this game. I’ll only loot out of retaliation. Last tip, there are a lot of bullies. It’s a war game. Completing your Daily goals is key. Why? If you do, the game gives you a 4-hour, 8-hour and 12-hour shield each day for free. That’s 24 hours of protection from would be thieves that can come and take your resources. Hope this review helps.

Great Strategy Game
I’m comparing the game to other strategy games like it, so the 5 stars is relative. There are things I don’t like about it, but comparatively speaking, it’s the best mobile strategy game I’ve ever played. (I’ve spent a lot of time playing Game of War: Fire Age and West Game as well as STFC.) First, I love Star Trek, so I’m biased right out the gate. Other things I like that separate it from other games: they give enough free peace shields per day if you do all your daily tasks to stay shielded 24/7. There are limits, especially for low level players, on who can attack you. Until you get higher level, only players within 2 levels of you can attack you. You NEVER run out of stuff to do. In fact, the more you play, it can get downright overwhelming how much there is to keep you busy. That being said, there are downsides. Like other strategy games, it’s impossible to be a top player without spending. There are a lot of f2p players who enjoy the game a lot, and you can do everything, but it just takes A LOT longer. I’m one of those who spends a little, and I’m in the mid-range as far as power. Of course, there are whales who spend thousands who you’ll never be able to compete with. However, my server, and I believe most if not all servers, have player-organized/enforced Rules of Engagement that limit bullying and sheer domination by p2p players.

Game is NOT Star Trek
Biggest problems are that the game is designed to be a predatory, player-eat-player mess. Players that shell out hundreds of dollars will always be able to beat you up and take your resources. Bases are upgradeable to ‘protect’ some of your resources, however the amount is extremely small and only a fraction of what you actually need to save up to do upgrades. If you want to keep people from raiding you, you have to shell out money to buy ‘peace shields’. Also, stupidly, you can’t use several smaller shields at once to have a longer shield, so your 1 hour and 4 shields are useless because you can’t cover a night of sleep or a work day with them. It only takes a few MINUTES for people to raid you and loot all your stuff, so even small gaps in protection will ruin you. Advancement is impossibly slow unless you shell out tons of cash. Upgrading officers and ships will literally take years without shelling out for multiple $99 bundles. Unlocking the base faction ships is doable with many months of farming, but anything above that will take you YEARS to unlock. Keep in mind that the resources you need to upgrade your bases and level are the same resources that upgrade your ships, so you can’t do both. So...years to upgrade base, then years to unlock a ship, then years to UPGRADE the ship. Gaining levels actually HURTS you in many ways. Quests you could complete yesterday are now impossible because the level of your target ships goes up.

Mobile issues
The game is beautiful and fun to play but be forewarned…they have issues if you are playing on a mobile device. I’m using an Apple iPad Pro…latest software and very strong WiFi. Never had any issues with other games but this one is terrible. The game freezes up, items lose part or all of their values. I have to close the app and restart it constantly. Support suggested that I delete the game and reinstall it. I’ve done that numerous times. I’m currently working with their support to try and resolve the issues but according to others this is systemic to using a mobile device. They encourage you to use a laptop or PC…even give you extra daily rewards if you do. Again this is a beautiful game and I’m doing my best to stay with it. I’ve put a lot of money into it because I do like it. If you are using a laptop or PC don’t hesitate to download the game…you’ll love it. Mobile users beware. Update: I have sent dozens of screenshots to support showing them my issues. They insist everything is functioning fine…even though I’m having to delete and reinstall the game daily to just try and play it. Their support knows they have major issues but as long as they’re still bringing in the money they’ll ignore them. Losing players isn’t a problem for them if they still have big spenders. I don’t mind pay to win…I gave them $2k in a short period of time….but if I can’t play the game because of the bugs and they insist nothing is wrong then I’m out of here.

Decent game ruined by developer’s optimization for making you pay
I downloaded this game hoping for a nice mobile version of Stellaris in the Star Trek universe and it is a decent version of that, I guess. You get to build and level up a star base and manage and level up your ships and crew. The MMO aspect isn’t terrible, although you seem to get ganked a lot if you leave your ship outside of your station when you’re not logged in. The problem is that playing it is like watching the home shopping network because you can’t do anything without having to click through a way to pay more money to reduce the pain of progression. Every resource either costs money or is in a random loot box so there is no strategy for resource management other than just keep clicking (unless you want to pay to click less). All the new content is behind battle passes and loot boxes so all you can do to meet your goals is just keep paying. When I added up all the cost in micro transactions to make this more like a decent PC game, I’d have to pay many multiple times what I’d pay for Stellaris on PC in order to make this game enjoyable. I get that the devs need to make money but I’d much prefer a monthly subscription to a decent game over the constant begging and slot machine mechanics that mobile gaming has become. If I wanted to hang out in a casino I’d go to Vegas.

Worst game ever ***AVOID AT ALL COST***
Scopely has ruined Star Trek. They have turned it into a war mongering bully culture. This is simply a game of the haves vs the have nots, if your not a whale your cannon fodder for them and have no chance of advancing. If you have ungodly amounts of disposable income and you don't mind dropping tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars on in game purchases then this game isnt for you. Aside from all the glitches and technical issues which this game has many, and all the bullying and harassment from the whales. The game has just become too much, too complicated, too involved, too time consuming. They are adding too much too close together. Too many specialty ships that take too much time and resources to build up and time to work on the tasks to do it all is just too much. This game is more time consuming then a full time paying job. It just isn't worth playing anymore. A game is supposed to be a distraction from life an enjoyable experience, this is no longer that, and hasnt been for a while but the constant additions instead of fixing the existing issues is just wrong. This is not a fun game to play, keep your money and find something better to spend it on. If i could i would give this game negative stars i would. If you aren't spending a small nations GDP on in app purchases they dont care what you think of this game. If people would stop spending money in game they might actually take notice and fix the issues.

Still in the Alpha stage of development
I love Star Trek and so I have been excited to jump in and play. I am probably about 30 hours into game play and while I really have enjoyed the concept but definitely missing the mark. There are consistent issues with glitches and bugs. Menus or buttons will break and you won’t be able to exit or interact with anything. Notifications will get stuck and you won’t be able to get rid of a badge even though you’ve already acknowledged it. After about level 10 you are able to attack and be attacked by other players. Which would seem exciting except for there are no natural barriers that separates players. So it doesn’t matter that you’ve advanced to a certain level, someone that is 3x your power can easily attack your ship and destroy it. You can also do the same to others. The challenge is if you’re trying to complete missions or mine resources it is inevitable that within a few minutes you will be attacked and destroyed. As your ships become more and more powerful it takes longer and longer for them to repair. So get ready to wait 30 minutes to an hour for your ships to rebuild every time you login. I could go on about the things that aren’t quite there but this game has wasted enough of my time. Overall, great concept and if you have a week to blow on this game then do it. After that you’ll prolly get bored of it like so many other players and delete the app.

If you want to play for free, you will be punished for it
This game is well designed with amazing detail and intricacies. The opportunity for choosing your own adventure is endless. The entire thing is well done. I’m sure it wasn’t cheap. If you want to play for free or FTP as we are known in the game, you will pay for that in other ways. Scopely designs subtle issues that reek havoc on advancement and fair play. The game is still fun but can get very frustrating when one of these issues pops up. You’ll have to wait, or spend earned credit of some sort, or just sit back and watch while the rest of the (paying) server keeps at it. Or start paying for resources of some kind. A notable issue with this game as well are rogue players who will destroy everything you have worked for, sometimes forcing you to waste assets, or resources that you may have paid actual money for. Scopely sees these folks as a way to make more money as the players who get hit spend money to repair or fix that damage. These clowns will argue with the entire server to justify their stupidity. Ultimately they will end up spoiling the game and there have been many players who have quit because they go unchecked and unstopped. The game is well designed. Be aware that it has a few issues that, when encountered, will cause immense stress and emotion. Play at your own risk.

Game is worse then ever!
This game was fun till about level 21 then it just got horrible everything is way to expensive to buy, I could literally buy 3 PS4’s and a BMW with the money the alliance [BREW] spends in Server 36 and I could buy a House in Long Island with the amount the alliance [SUPR] spends on Server 36 it’s residuals all them 2 alliances do is bully every other alliance to get there way and territory update and add on has made this issue way worse! Not to mention you can’t upgrade your station without spending $50 a month and at least 7 hours a day of playtime a day once you hit level 28 and then you get hit constantly I have to buy shields constantly with my alliance points and it’s just making me not want to play then you have [BREW] Soggy and some other players photo shopping In game DM’s and reporting people for stuff they didn’t really say or was snap shot out of context and then that player gets banned for 24 hours without any warning so then the reporter gets to raid the base of the person he or she reported then that person is left with nothing and scopely gives zero crap about you or your account if you ain’t spending at least $20 a week all it takes is for you to call some racist a idiot and boom your banned for 24-48 hours with NO WARNING AND YOUR BASE IS RAIDED AND YOUR LEFT WITH NOTHING. Don’t play this game I’m level 28 almost level 29 and I’m hating this game more and more every day. Only reason I log on is cause I like the fellas in my alliance.

3 stars
I gave three stars to star fleet command . One there is no alliances war being conducted with other alliances besides targeting miners with alliances or floating ships with alliance . Secondly the resources take to progress a ship is to long and only event ships are the best power houses. Thirdly the amount of officer exp needed to level them up and promote is to high for the quest rewards because at certain point in leveling the operation building . The fourth thing recruiting new officers or getting them promoted is to hard because can only get one character token . It is uncertain how many each of them need to maxed out . The missions do not recycled to get more officer exp or ship exp . Otherwise this free game for those who like destroying ships with some grind .Do not expect to get officers quicker or level them up quickly, or have any indication if there are more severs that are open to ios . This game can benefit by giving alliances more reward systems or give alliances sectors with mines only for that alliance. Other then speed upgrades and the eventual upgrade to do armadas. Low level alliance members can not participate in armadas which means they can not get rewards from it besides reducing the waiting period on upgrades. The last thing mention the roster of characters do not have the crew tag easily identified without having to click on the avatar to find out if they belong in that crew group.

Pay to Play Money Magnet
I’ve been playing the game for well over 2 years, am now ops43. Yes I can say I’ve spent a little on the battle passes and the odd ship / officer but the new changes recently are just greed from the developers. If you want to be successful these days, you need to pay minimum $500 per month to stay relevant or you get left behind and become cannon fodder for those who do spend. Now they have reduced the value of refined materials (needed to level up buildings, ships & research) for materials sms / slb events, so it’s not possible to gain even one tier unless you spend $100 minimum. So the game I loved for so long has now been changed to a bigger cash cow than it was and basically telling those free to play to go find another game. I like many will no doubt drop this game into the delete basket very soon if changes aren’t made for the better for free to play We’ll adding onto this I’ve reached Ops49 and for the past 2 months have only played two of three times a week for about an hour each time - it’s become monotonous and boring as the drive for more spending is pushed to the player. The arcs have become ridiculously far away from Star Trek obviously designed by people with little idea about the fan base - do Scopley ever listen? No so don’t expect them to - we’re tiny drops in a much larger ocean

DISAPPOINTED!!!
I love STFC and have played for over 2 years. I have been becoming increasingly upset. The prices on their cash packs are $99 dollars. I rarely buy anything because it's ridiculous. Now today after launching a new arc Scopely has decided to inactivate an officer that we have had since the beginning because they had a glitch and it was really helping us so they inactivated her so that we can’t use her anymore to really help us and enjoy the game. This officer has been around since day one but because it’s really helping the players without having to buy with money other officers that are new. It’s just really disappointing that it seems like all Scopely cares about is our hard earned dollars. Yesterday when they rolled out the new Arc it was broken since the minute it was put up and then they had to take hours before it would come back up but still it’s sucked. I’m sorry but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to put a penny into this game Anymore. It's just a travesty and I guess they really don’t care about their player base and wouldn’t care if we left but I know I am going to socket to them where it hurts the most and that is their greedy pockets. I feel bad for the underlings that work for the company Cause I’m sure that they will be blamed for this whole fiasco. So no more of my money Scopely if I want to spend I’ll take it somewhere else I work too hard for my money and y’all are just greedy and ridiculous.

Pay to win is a reality
This game is fun, it’s a lot of fun. Cool missions, easy game play. I got to level 22, and now I realize it’s a complete pay to win system. Most games you can put in more time and actually compete. I’ve spent 45 dollars on this game and I’m still WAY behind the big guns. I thought I could grind it out, but it’s impossible. They offer massive upgrades that you can buy. They call these prime upgrades. And at the higher levels they are basically impossible to obtain. And it’s not just a small bonus. The bonus is like, double all ship damage for 20-50 dollars. And technically it’s possible to grind your way there, but i calculated that at a 20% drop rate for a rare mineral, and a 12 hour clock it would take a year to get one of these upgrades. And it doesn’t stop there by a long shot. You can pay to upgrade your officers and there is no limit. So people do it. I’ve heard of people dropping well over 1O,000 dollars for these crazy ships and crews. It’s just not fair. I’m all for paying for something’s, the game has to make money, but this game allows the ultra rich to absolutely dominate. I can’t blame them it’s a business, but they do not cap it. So I’m done. The game is actually a business and it’s not worth your time because people will just destroy your base, take your resources and there is nothing you can do about it. Well there is something you can do and it’s she’ll put some serious money.

Starts strong finishes weak, poor service
Do yourself a favor. Read the reviews, the star levels are pumped up, do the math. I have deleted this app. When I first started the game There were only a few bugs and had more than enough resources to help build. As with any strategy game when you progress resources become more scarce. Today there are more bugs that cause the game to glitch or just quit and when it does you lose all your hard earned Dilithium for no reason. I notified their customer service twice with no response. Once you pass level 9 it is next impossible to mine Dilithium And Other raw elements to help you build your ships upgrade your supplies and materials and station. I am at level 14 and won’t go beyond because once you go to level 15 then your station can be regularly attacked by others. The problem with is that just about everybody is subject to trolls. You can’t mine for minerals longer than five minutes before somebody is fighting with you and killing you. To keep up with everyone you need to buy upgrades. It starts out cheap at $5 but after you buy one or two you can only buy$25 items, then later only $50 items are available. If you ever watch the advertisement on TV the play of the game is nothing like that, you don’t see any video clips or epic battles. The commercial has nothing to do with the game. I started out enjoying the game now it just not worth playing. Don’t waste your time unless you got money to burn.

The Tesla of Trek Games?
In many respects, this is a great game. Engaging content, great visuals and a large and dedicated gamer community. But this game is like a Tesla car. Full of driving promise, but fundamentally plagued with non-stop issues of quality control and scale. It’s also an inside joke/lament among those who play STFC that Scopely is more interested in maximizing revenue than addressing player concerns. For example, stability of the iOS version is poor. Frequent crashes often interrupt play (to be fair, these have improved recently). But new bugs accompany every game update and rarely seem to be fixed rapidly. Scopely periodically acknowledges just how burdensome daily game tasks have become — then promptly adds more (often buggy) content. And with every new feature, F2P progress becomes increasingly challenging. I should also warn you that the fun and flow of this game is severely marred by interminable transition screens. Get used to messages such as “Preparing” or “Adjusting” as you wait for game screens to load. And that’s if you don’t have to reboot. If, like the Tesla owner, you can look past the glitchy performance, and can ignore expensive in-game purchases necessary to compete effectively, you will really enjoy this Trek tribute. If not, you will quickly end up frustrated by Scopely’s missed chance to make this a truly epic game, which it has the potential to be.

Pay to Win
So this game has serious issues woth duality. On on hand it is likely the best star trek game made. The content is deep and grows significantly each new arc. On the other as many before have stated it is pay to play. Not a few bucks here and there, a get a 2nd mortgage on your house kind of cost. Big whale players spend 250,000 and more to stay in leaderboards. Medium players spend upwards of 700 to 1000 dollars a month just to try to stay strong enough to defend against whales who litterally go around bullying smaller players and making up thier own rules. There is a free to play option. I have been playing almost 4 years and im a mid tier player. Free to play players and 17 levels below me and whales are 13 levels higher than me. My expenses to stay relavant have been consistently 700 per month and in pvp i lose more than i win. The time it takes to grow is rediculous and the cost in game items takes a month or more to just get one lvl higher is your spending. If your not it can take 4 months to get up a level by mid level 30s. Play at your own risk. This game is fun but this game does everything possible to get you to spend. My advice, dont bother. There are other games on computer online with just as much content that is not geared to grab money from the filthy rich.

I play because friends are here..if they weren’t....
In the tips portion of the ad they didn’t mention the terrible rate of refinement to get said Rare materials or even just the Uncommon. Whales always have and advantage but it’s an overwhelming one in this game, Like grossly. If you don’t spend you won’t really have much of a chance. Scopely also has different rates of these packages resources in the bundles based on age of the server, so choose wisely. The older the server the better your deals will be. Lastly, instead of fixing old issues and improving actual game play they just role out new officers and 1 trick pony ships to lure more whale spending. Just fix some simple things please. Like wording on crew that doesn’t reflect (Djaoki for example)what it actually does...the character skins.. my fed officer in the faction store is from the Blue man group! Klingon crews with no faces...If they actually cared and or catered to the majority of players and gave the majority a chance to take on whales and their alliances, it would drive those who do spend more to continue to do so at a higher rate just to hold the leading edge. This game has potential.. but needs devs that care. It will make money even if you are more generous with your rewards and how people can improve their ships to make it a more fun experience, I promise.

Cheating is apparently allowed.
So, not long ago, my server was merged into another server, that on average was way higher level then ours. My entire original server has been on its back foot ever since because the people originally from this server have decided we are “invaders” and have literally told us the only way we won’t be treated like dirt is if we quit and leave their server. Now, some of those same bully’s have started hacking the game so that if they target your ship, you can’t run away, your ship will magically change direction when you try and head strait at the oncoming attacker. I reported this, and was told by someone in support that this is “normal pvp”. If you don’t like getting bullied, or pay to win games, don’t play this game. So coming back to with a new complaint. Now a new mechanic has been added to force pvp. As if the game wasn’t unbalanced enough with pay to win, now they have enacted events to require server wide pvp for 4 days straight. In other words, if you aren’t high enough level, it is now impossible to advance or make progress for 4 days out of the week. I have been playing this game since about a year after it launched and it has progressively gotten more and more unfair to anyone that is not rich and willing to drop stupid amounts of cash. The Devs have no idea what Star Trek is about and Gene Roddenberry would be disgusted with this type of thinking.

Seriously unbalanced
This game started out extremely fun. Who wouldn’t want to fly around in a starship, blow up hostiles, complete missions and engage is some friendly PvP. There are numerous pay walls as you progress and with a maximum level of 50, hitting a major pay wall at 19 is ridiculous. I spent just over $2k on the game and made it halfway through level 27. Upgrading structures and buildings takes 3-4x more resources than your station can possibly generate on its own. The change in resources needed as you level is exponential and not linear at all. At lvl 27 I can generate and hold ~3 million par steel. Building upgrades cost upwards of 10 million. It is absurd that on order to level up the station you must spend $99 per pack and probably need 3-4 packs to gain a level. Also, pack purchases scale with your station level. At lvl 1, packs give substantially less than at lvl 10 and even less at lvl 20. Packs shouldn’t be tiered to give more at higher levels. Packs should not scale whatsoever and simply give less benefit as you gain levels. Either that or make all packs scaled to what they would give at maximum level. The individual servers are run by those who spend tons of $$$ Because they have the most powerful stations and make the rules. I am quitting the game mostly for this reason alone. My recommendation is that unless you have a massive disposable income or are keen on massive credit card debt I would steer clear of this game entirely.

Wish I could give it 5*
The concept behind the game is fantastic...but there is a very long way to go before it is 5* worthy. The PvP scale is WAY off. That needs to be addressed. Why is there no kind of alliance battle log? There are battle reports per individual, but leadership cannot see what is happening with our members. Why is there no way to check member activity? We have strict standards of activity, but the only way of knowing, is physically seeing a ship in motion, or seeing them in chat. Dead mining nodes are a huge problem. Lack of nodes for the amount of players are another. The uncommon material drops are preposterous for the amount that is required for upgrades and research. Who ever came up with that algorithm should be fired, and someone with half a brain put in their place. I’m at a complete standstill in building and ship upgrades because of this stupid wait time between refining materials, and the insane drop rate of uncommon. Now moving on to the ‘store’. May as well call it the black market. $100, just to be able to get ahead...Seriously ? This game is geared toward those that can afford to drop serious money to make any headway. And is in NO way friendly to those of us that have to work for what we get. Needless to say, there are numerous issues to address before your fan base drops, and business is lost.

Pvp brackets ruin fun
*update to previous review* learning to protect yourself can solve some of the issues stated previously but Scopely allows and seems to encourage bullying. System constraints that allow player groups to literally *block* players from getting into defend their own territory. Power disparity forces people to purchase more as a team of 3 heavy spenders can easily hold off dozens of f2p or lower spending average players. Server mergers reduced what had become a peaceful and enjoyable format into a brawl mentality that forces nonspenders out of the game. Scopely allows the strife and bullying and hate speech even when brought to them. Their report system seems to do nothing and their ticket system is user unfriendly and limits your ability to report.** Been having a great time with the game until hitting level 20. Within 12 hours of that, I got cleaned out. People that 4 levels higher than me can attack. 20% higher in player level but 500% my power level. Weeks with of saving gone in less than an hour because a timed shield ran out. There is no way to combine shields to longer periods. There is no way to opt out of pvp. I spent money on this game (something I rarely do) because it felt like there was value to it but the pvp system completely ruined it as soon as I hit this range. I can’t justify another dime

Starts good but doesn’t last
Starts out fun exploring, missions, and resource gathering. But the closer you get to level 20 the less point there is to playing anymore. If you do the missions you eventually hit a point where your expected to kill ships that are over twice the power of your current ships, and to tier up your ships take forever unless you pay $$$. The resources needed for tier up and upgrades have to be gather, but mining vessels get destroyed before you can gather. And the fights become pointless, example: ship A power level 17k, ship B 120k power level. Ship b attacks every ship in the area, player with ship A wiped out, obviously. Ship c power level 11k, ship A cannot attack ship C because the level difference is too high... and yet having a ship with over 100k pl difference attack is perfectly fine. Don’t waste your time unless you want to spend hundreds of $$$s. Even someone of the same level can buy designs giving them 10s of thousands of power difference. While you think you can get the same for free and it will just take longer, that is not the case, I’m level 19 can’t do any of the missions I have because anything I have to fight is 2x the power level of my ships. Or they want donations of resources that max capacity doesn’t cover. Can’t mine anything without getting destroyed by ships that shouldn’t even need the resources I’m mining.

SCOPELY CONDONES BULLYING-AVOID
Basically a whale (big spender) out spends everyone on the server, becomes a giant troll, muscles out anyone they don’t like. I’ve played for 2 years and have spent quite a bit myself, yet any messages to Scopely about bullying are ignored. They are allowed to do as they please. I had a great community of friends that I spent time playing the game with and spent time with outside of the game. Now a good portion of those have quit and I’m on the edge of quitting. I do know I won’t be buying any more of their ridiculously expensive $100 packs. They are expensive and you don’t get much. They will offer blueprints for a new ship but it would cost $2000 in real money to get it quickly or it will take months in game to earn it. As you are trying to grow, you’re getting bullied from the whales as they have a 112M power ship and you may have only 2-3M power ship. Scopely allows the lopsided advantage so it is no fun in the PvP aspect of the game. Then there is the constant game chat bullying from trolls that, even when reported with screenshots of wildly inappropriate behaviour, NOTHING HAPPENS. Sometimes a troll gets an 8 hour ban. Then they come back madder than ever and bully people more. It is a toxic soup that a true Trek fan should absolutely avoid. Server D35 AVOID. On top of it all, if you start looking around reviews and Reddit, you’ll find this is what happens on EVERY server.

Money grab
It’s sad that this is being passed off as a Star Trek game when there’s very little Star Trek to it. Mine, blow other ships up, attack bases, etc. might all sound fun but it’s not. Mining can take HOURS, during which you’ll get attacked and destroyed by some jerk who bought a super unbeatable ship during the first days of release for $50. And when you’re destroyed, you lose part of what you mine. So it’s one step forward, two steps back. Upgrading takes 8+ hours to days on end. Alliances are helpful but only up to a point. It’s literally kill or be killed and currently the top alliances are solely focused on blitz attacks on lower level players because they can. The response is “hey it’s just a game, relax.” But therein lies the problem. You’ve taken away anything that can be fun about it and made it incredibly frustrating. To stick around, you either have to play for 18 hours a day or make purchases for resources and faster upgrades. I caved and bought a few, thinking it would take the target off my back and maybe allow me to enjoy the game without constant barrages. It didn’t. I played since day 2. Spent maybe $60 and I’ve had enough. Uninstalled and frankly I’d like my money back but I know that’s not happening. Don’t bother downloading unless you like your eyes glued to your iPad 24/7 and you don’t mind constant ambushes. Does anyone remember when Star Trek used to be about exploring?

Attempting to help alliance member
An alliance member has requested help and I’ve been trying to help em for the passed 15 minutes or so. It keeps making like I’ve accepted the request for help but then remains there as though I didn’t help. Only problem with this game I have thus far. I do have one question though, how do you travel between different places you discovered and actually explore those places without quests? Or can you only explore those places if you currently have a quest in that area? Like I have a ‘new Sligo’ and I’m trying to explore the area around it, for instance. Just out of curiosity. UPDATE: I have an alliance gift t I’ve been trying to claim for about a day and a half, it’s not allowing me to claim it. Thank you for fixing the thing to help alliance members. And I figured out what the ‘new sligo’ was.. that’s the area I’m currently building in I think. Took me a bit to figure out, but I got it. My grandma and her siblings are HUGE Trekkies.. they’re huge fans of Star Trek. I’m not saying I’m not, but as for the game, it’s one of my first games of the series and I didn’t follow it as much as they did. 😅 I’m having a lot of fun though!

Slow Game Play But Very Fun
The game is extremely fun to play and addictive in the beginning it’s easy to upgrade and you can pretty much gain all the resources necessary endgame to upgrade but it is a grind my recommendation would be to join a very good alliance from the beginning that supports you teaches you about the inns and outs of the game and even help you gain resources and protect you against bullies in the game because let me tell you this game has lots of bullies in it that constantly attack weaker players one of the things I would add in this gameWould be Easter egg like prizes that would be random of course but would encourage players to stay in and play to try to get these where the prices would be extraordinary allowing them to advance things like 100 hours of speed ups or combination of speed ups big swaths of resources instead of little tiny ones that feed you with a bird dropper people want to advance that is in our nature and if it takes them five weeks just to try to get it shipped to compete less people are going to stay in the game and play but all in all I give it five stars because it is a lot of fun and the possibilities are pretty much endless

Abhorrent Customer Support
I contacted apple about the developers micro transaction policy. My son whom is the actual player of this game, had accidentally purchased multiple packs because, as I found though research, when you tap on an item to “build” in game or whatever it says “speed up” with no confirmation dialogue or anything it simply uses in game purchase able currency. What’s worse, you can tap on one item out of a list of 4 and the menu randomly jumps between items after a tap. So you could accidentally purchase multiple different things when intention was to get one. My son ended up getting 3 of the packs this way. I contacted the developer because APPLE DOES NOT CONTROL in app microtransactions. The developers do. After literally 25 separate emails of the developer saying “We can’t it has to be refunded though apple” and me replying to them with apples app policy and apples emails saying it’s developer controlled I am now here. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GAME. The company is now on my list of fKd up developers. Shady practice jumping menu items around to get players to waste money. Especially since they clearly know that this is the case which is why they feign understand and try to redirect you to apple support. If I worked at Apple I would delist this application and all others from this developer. It makes a terrible reflection on Apple as a company for allowing this crap to go on.

Online bullying is encouraged by scopely
This game can be fun and a welcome diversion at first. However the game designers have encouraged an environment that promotes bullies. The bullies in the top alliances continuously raid bases and destroy the miners of players and alliances that have no chance of fighting back. When you are bullied the game designers want you to become enraged and buy packages for ship and base upgrades so you can ‘defend’ yourself. What you don’t realize is that these packages cost $100 and will only give you enough to sometimes level something up. You still can’t defend yourself against rich people who dump thousands of dollars into their account to stay more powerful than honest players. Oh and there is also the fact that if you buy upgrade packages, the abusive players can steal that from you too. I was a hardcore player for several months and I spent nearly $1000 on packages and upgrades. I was planning my sleep schedule and social schedule around the game and when it would be safe for my account for me to step away for a few hours. I reached level 23 and I was fairly strong for my level. However, I still couldn’t compete with players that spend thousands of dollars on the game, and I was just cannon fodder or a cash cow for the in game bullies to steal from. I walked away from the game and deleted it from my devices; I’m much happier now. TLDR: Don’t bother downloading this game.

Don’t waste your time....
I would give this less than a 1 Star if I could. On the surface, the game seems good. The concept of Star Trek is what got me to play. However, the game should have never gotten out of Beta. Most of the crew abilities don’t work, ship abilities don’t work, ships randomly blow up in space dock, ships jump out of warp with the “timer” off meaning you can’t do anything and you get blown up by hostiles resulting in wasting resources... need more resources, no problem you can BUY them. When Scopely bothers to push updates, they roll back the power of your ships and base. What does this mean, BUY more stuff to get back the power you already paid for. Silver lining, APPLE has refunded many, many people some even 100%. However, even though you get a refund for what you paid for that Scopely rolled back, Scopely will then kick you from the game, or reset your game back to day one and put you on a different sever with no way of changing servers. Mind you, they kick you even if you didn’t get 100% refunded, meaning they took your money. Their reason, you broke the terms of service... despite they negated your purchases in the first place precipitating the refund! Buyer be ware, Scopely has a horrible BBB rating and extensive complaints about this game and others. You would be better served buying a dead cat off the street to play with, it works better than this game.

Notification fails, horrible customer service
The game has been buggy from the start. Many have gotten worse over the years. The most frustrating is the alert system. The game often fails to tell you you’re being attacked, even if you’re on your phone at the time, leading to a significant or total loss of resources that sometimes you paid for! Don’t throw your money away on buying resources, because Scopely’s failures and bugs will cause you to lose it. The customer service has gone from bad to horrible over the years too. They went from telling you they’d fix it, to telling you it’s working as intended, to totally blocking out any input or comments. It’s just a bot now that immediately closes out the ticket. I’m not paying for this garbage any more, and I suggest others not waste their money until Scopely fixes the game. UPDATE: You can see Scopely’s response. Attack notifications had been incredibly reliable for years. A push came through every attack. You could count on it. Now who knows. And their excuse is lame, because Discord and Twitter and Messenger every news and sports app can figure out how to get their push notifications through. And Scopely did too! It worked. It doesn’t any more. Again, don’t waste your money on resources because Scopely’s failures will lead you to lose them.

The game is fun but has many glitches
I played the game for about three months, enjoying most aspects of the game despite the many glitches. A few mining nodes don’t work even after updates that supposedly fixed them and several times I completed missions but didn’t receive the rewards. The game is very unbalanced, I was getting hit by players 11+ levels above me. A fully upgraded lv22 station has no chance of defense against a lv30+ ship. I learned to just keep a shield up when I wasn’t playing. I personally spend money on games cause it allows me to not spend time doing the stuff that is not enjoyable. I also realize that if people don’t spend money then developers will no longer make games. Which brings me to my biggest complaint, customer service. I bought a pack which came with resources and started a few upgrades. I put up a shield. While the shield was active, I got attacked and lost most of the resources I bought. The game failed me in three ways, (1) I was attacked while under a shield, (2) I never received a shield notification, (3) I never received a station attack notification. I reached out to support and they were unwilling to correct the issue. Supports response was “In as much as I want to help you out, I can only do so much.” They did nothing to correct the problem.

Skip this one for a year or so
Came into this game with high hopes and was pretty much disappointed from the outset. Progress in this game screeches to a near halt pretty fast unless you are ready to dump some serious cash into progressing. If you aren’t then sit back and get ready for some incredible frustration. The players that do become amazingly powerful VERY fast and prey on everyone with nearly unstoppable ships. I grunted out for 19 out of 50 levels and just got tired of the amount of time it took to accomplish absolutely nothing. Just building a simple structure was taking 3 or more days (an obvious taunt to impatience to get you to pay to speed things up)and it took many of these structures to progress. Storyline is slow and monotonous. Fly from one place to another, kill a bad guy, receive minimal rewards. Ship power climbed very slowly too. Even the great alliance I was in couldn’t protect itself from the cash kings constant pillaging everyone with their showroom ships. If you are a game bully and have LOTS of extra cash and want to throw it away to buy pixel ships in a glitchy mediocre game, this one is for you. Personally I would suggest waiting a year or so to see if the designers address a few of the obvious problems and make it more about player enjoyment than sucking up your time and money. So disappointing.

An embarrassment to the Star Trek name
I have played for a while, but I’m sorry this is just a poorly designed game that brings shame on the Star Trek franchise. Trek is about a positive hopeful future, boldly exploring, meeting new races and civilizations, team missions on strange worlds, the examples set by Kirk, Picard, Archer, and all the rest. Not mining. Soooo much mining, unless you pay to play. Unlock a new ship? Great, now you have to mine something new. Which brings us to the most broken part, PvP. Ship power scales way too quickly and becomes overpowering even a couple levels up. As in they suffer less than 5% damage when taking out all my ships, or space station. Yeah that’s right one ship can destroy a whole space station and 3 ships while taking less than 10% damage. Imagine Picard just flying from station to station blowing them up then taking out 10 mining vessels and that’s the whole game. Just grind away and pick on people less powerful than you, sounds nothing like Star Trek. Building your station is kinda cool, even if you have no frame of reference for any values. And the tech progression is ok, but tedious. If they had just built around that they could have made a decent game. If you want a Star Trek fix, try Timelines, much better play balance and a lot more characters you remember from every series and movie. Live long and Prosper, but not with this game!

Complete bullying and total imbalance in player vs. player
Star Trek in graphics only. Star Trek never condoned bullying, but this game developer not only supports it but promotes it. Once you cross about lvl 23 or so, you just become fodder for vastly out powered players, with ZERO chance of defending yourself. I’ve been -laying this game for 5 years and watched it happen. If you are not ready to throw down 10’s of thousands of dollars, your enjoyment will fade. We have a bully alliance chasing our players down. They are almost double the players and out top two or three players don’t even meet their bottom 1/3 in power, yet they are allowed to block our game play, prevent missions and armadas, completely block territory take over. Unlike the developers say, I have made numerous complaints over years, yet absolutely nothing has ever been done to even out player vs. player. Their responses back are a sham and they do nothing to improve game play or support a more fair/balanced gaming experience. If you want to spend 10’s of thousands of dollars and beat up weaker players, than this is a game for you. If not, there is some entertainment but extreme frustration as well. I understand that scopely needs money to keep this going, but it is on a death spiral trying to bring in new players to feed the big spenders. Enter with eyes open.

The bullies win every time
This started out as a great game. I enjoyed the game play and the alliance I was in. They introduce new game lines regularly and keep it fresh. But the problem is, Scopely’s business plan is “reward the big spenders” and they give them huge ships that are impossible to compete with. The “Free To Play” players advance very slowly, and we end up as cannon fodder for the huge players who dump, literally, thousands of dollars into building massive ships. Early in your gameplay, Lower levels are limited to attacking players just a few levels lower than themselves. But when you spend the cash and shoot up to higher levels, you are free to bully all the lower level players without restraint. And if you read every other review in this app store that complains about the way bullies are allowed to wreck havock on lower level players, you will see the developers give lip service to “our feedback” but they have no intention of putting any restraint on their cash cows. Bottom line: if you’ve just won the lottery, enjoy this game. But, iIf you plan on going the free to play route, this will remind you of Jr High School Gym Class. The bullys dominate and the coaches are not interested in stepping in.

Mediocre pay to play
Game has the same latency/lag/crash issues as it did a year ago. Pay to play and developers do what they can to handicap free to play players and people who may not pay as much. Most recent issue is “burning” ability getting nerfed/handicapped. Also I always buy a battlepass which is a cheaper way to participate in events. Some how with all the other glitches that occur in game it swapped it for a points pack for the current event. I was asking for it to be corrected and after 3 days of back and forth with customer service I got told I got the wrong pack.... when I purchased it, it was a battlepass pack, not a points pack. Just ignored my issue to force me to purchase more and not fix the issue. Same day I made the purchase there were so many problems that delayed the update for iOS which I wonder contributed to the incorrect product showing as my purchase. Peace shields randomly drop before the time is up which protects your station from losing resources and encourages you to purchase more from the developer. Game is purposely flawed to favor “errors” in game play to make you pay to play. After over a year of playing these issues remain and new issues have been added to game play. Friendships made in game are the only thing keeping me playing.

Don’t bother
Typical pay to even try to play game. This game was fun at first but rapidly gets old. There’s a lot of emphasis on mining and its tedious. There’s no way to find out where the materials you need are without having to look through each system you’ve explored. A search option would have been nice. Once you find what you need you’ll likely get killed right away by some bully players that have deep pockets of real money. Then you wait for repairs and repeat. Mining takes forever and if you look away for 5 minutes you’ll likely get killed. Other missions get old too. Go to one place or kill one ship, then do it again and again. They had some interesting storylines, but in the end its the same thing over and over again while you waste tons of time just waiting for your ship to get where it needs to go, or stare at your screen while you mine and hope to get what you need before some player rolls up with a warship to easily kill your mining ship. I was hoping you could pick a faction to play for but you’re stuck being an independent and once you get high enough you can go near one of the empires, but thats probably after you get to level 15 or better. I played for a week and got to 14 hoping for more before the game got too annoying to put up with. I cannot wait for these types of games to go extinct.

Fun game. Awful combat.
This was one of my favorite games for a long time. I loved it so much. I had a good alliance and pretty good ships for my level. Unfortunately, have good stuff puts a target on your back for min maxers. Because people ten levels ahead of you can attack you. The people with power tens times yours will just obliterate your life savings. And then you have to spends months getting back all of what you lost. I got a pretty strong USS Discovery a about 75,000 power and thought I take a break and go on vacation. Gone for six days. Never logged on in that time. Came back and found out on level 30 guy raided my base 47 TIMES IN THREE DAYS!! All of my resources were stolen. I was unable to upgrade anything for three weeks. And just when I was starting to get some stuff back, another level 30 player in the same alliance raided me AGAIN!! Once again stealing all my stuff. I know the game is supposed to be multiplayer, but it is not much of a Star Trek game and it’s just min-maxers bullying anyone lower than them. Because of that and the developers clearly ignoring there unbalanced combat system, the game that I was really hoping would be good was just as bad as any other greedy mobile game out to make a buck. No respect for the community.

One major flaw. Game breaking
If youre reading this is bc youre considering the game. The game is super fun. Lots of grinding. Its fun. Ive been hooked since Xmas and ive not used my xbox since because this game has me dominated. So here’s what the main game breaking issue lies. All the way to lvl 15 you can attack people in your range , im at 14 and can kill from lvl11-17; thing is the station becomes pvp able at lvl15, and WHOEVER at WHATEVER lvl can come and destroy everything you have making you literally unplayable. I have beared witness people with ships at 275k power being able to crack open bases from lvl15 and take all. There is no cap. And WORSE ALL, you can buy packs to help improve which i have no issue with. Problem is i can spend $20 on a pack of resources than will be stolen a minute later. That part of the system is broken. It allows people to bleed money they cannot use in game bc of timings. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed otherwise you cannot enjoy this game. If you are a player that spends cash( again, zero issues here with that) the possibilities of losing it all before you can use it its there. Regarless of game shields you cannot stay 24/7 guarding your cash

I usually hate this type of game.
I’m not exactly sure what to call them; mobile war games? I’ve always had a pretty low opinion of these mobile “strategy” games so I’m not exactly sure what it was that compelled me to try this out. Probably it being associated with Star Trek and the grand space theme is what did it, but that’s irrelevant. This game is truly special amongst the sea of garbage out there. You’re not just upgrading buildings and waiting, you’re making meaningful choices. I’ve found myself immersed in this thing for hours before realizing how much time has passed. There is so much to do, so many missions, and so much to explore. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how incredibly deep this game is mechanically and it’s apparent that it’ll take quite a bit of time to learn the bulk of it. Lucky for us, there is a trove of information and plenty of resources out there to help you learn. I dunno, man. This game is actually really cool. I don’t like games where I’m personally not doing anything other than tapping “upgrade” or “buy” and it’s a game of who spent the most money.

Greedy overrated garbage
Title pretty much says it. Been playing for a long time...then I realized how the developers only want your money. They have no interest in making a fun balanced game. It’s rigged to favor only players that spend large amounts of money. Any ship worth getting will cost real money and will be insane to level up and tier up the ships. Absolutely no direction with missions. I spend half my time looking up how to get to places missions send me...only to find out that the only way to proceed with some missions requires you to finish other event missions that aren’t even available. Forced PVP is what really kills the fun of this game. Hostile environment toxic bully players. Made up rules per server that if u don’t follow players will go out of their way to make u miserable. Once u hit level 25...everything is too expensive and far to much a boring grind. And for what? So u can get new ships that are only good for certain events...this game is a travesty...it’s greedy unbalanced garbage. If u value your sanity I recommend you find something else. This freemium game stuff needs to stop. Make a free game stay free of cost. The developers should be ashamed of themselves. And seeing how u never know what u may end up getting when u buy something...I don’t see how this isn’t considered gambling.

STFC review
This game had the potential to really be a fun play through and a good way to connect with people. Being in an alliance, growing your base and becoming a better player are all things that are achievable through this game. With that being said, there is a complete disconnect between the players and the developers/leaders of this game. So much time and care seems to have been put into creating this game that there obviously is a high level of talent and ingenuity at Scopely. Those traits are not reflected in events and gameplay that affects users directly. Events are sloppily created with sometimes time excessive milestones to hit, server vs server battles are completely mismatched even though scopely has direct data to see where each group is at power wise, and the rewards and price point for goals and purchases are completely one sided in favor of the company. I played this game for about 8 months, became #14 in power rankings (yes I purchased a lot), and spent countless hours trying to make it make sense for me to keep playing. If scopely would have made the user feel more valued I would keep playing, but will never consider playing this game ever again due to these issues.

Good game long grind
STFC is the one single game that I have played for the longest time. I stay playing mainly for the moderately fair play and the great alliance that I am part of. The economic system around the game is, the best word I can use to describe it, fair. It respects the grind time that players put in by placing a high monetary cost to packs that give the same rewards and resources. Having said that, it is not easy to progress without spending at least some money, for example, battle pass, to keep up with the main crowd. A stable server with stable alliances and being part of a good alliance is important to having fun in this game, regardless of the amount of money you plan to spend. From the strategy perspective, there is enough depth in the game where a relatively weaker ship can beat a more powerful one with the right officer setup, and research and planning do matter. All of this add up to a fun game with lots of depth, lots of good people, and lots of ways to play. One thing of caution though, if you don’t have a couple hours a day to keep up, this game may not be for you.

Very Unbalanced
All reviews that tell you that this game is amazing, fun, addicting and enjoyable are probably from people who sit in their house all day spending money, since playing games is probably all they do each day every day. So if you truly want to know what the game is like don’t rely on reviews. Play the game for a little bit and decide for yourself. The game is, for lack of any other word, neat and a time killer. Any game to claiming that they are very well “balanced” is feeding you propaganda. The only balanced games I come across are from companies that have been in business for more than a few years. Honestly if there is any balance in any PvP/PvE game you would have a separation of lower and higher levels, figurative not literal. To give a simple idea of one small unbalanced portion of this game, the developers allow higher levels players to attack and harass lower level players but it tells you when you are a lower level that you cannot attack the player since their level is too high. Well if a player is not allowed to attack a higher level then the higher level should not be allowed to attack you. This premise is PvP 101 stuff people get with it or find new programmers. Balanced? I think not! It’s a far cry of being called balanced, they’re in the business to make money. So don’t take my word for it, decide for yourself.

Terrible game
The packs to advance are 100$ a piece, and there is not enough in ur resource generators to even do the simplest of actions like fight. And you HAVE to fight, because the range of hittable ships is outrageous.. lvl 39 can hit as low as lvl 25 ships and bases. And if your shield fails (which it often will do) scopley will admit there is a problem then not refund your lost resources after you have been raided. Mining nodes are often broken. And even if you screenshot some part of youri game that is broken and try to send in a ticket, the auto response will tell you to send a screenshot, try deleting the app and reload it (which is super fun when you are in the middle of a battle and your game crashes.. sarcasm) they keep working on the graphics but dont fix whats broken and customer support is not helpful in ANY way. But hey, if you have about 40,000 $ to blow then this is the game for you.. not being sarcastic. There are legit people that have paid that much to play so they can crush you any time they want to mine where u are. And the cursing in the galaxy chat is atrocious. We actually had a very nice lady that was harrassed and asked about how much she could spread her legs, and much much worse. Scopleys reply was “we will look into it”, and the person wasnt banned as per their terms of service. This is an adult game, DO NOT let your kids play it.

Leaving
As I read the reviews, I see that I’m not the only one that feels that the game is so unbalanced that it is pathetic. I have been playing now for three months, reached level 25 and struggling to keep away from the arrogantes that just because they have some power, they hit you even while you are just starting to mine, just because they want RSS. I made the mistake of hitting a guy on a node, and his Cdr. was on me like stink on you know what. So what did I do? They say that if you can’t beat them, join them. Now I am still playing by myself, since no one seams to acknowledge I even exist. I move around, looking for good sites to mine ( non found) but I have managed to grow. Now I think it’s time I leave this and do bigger and better things. BTW, I tried GOW and it’s even worst. Unti the time that you regulate the different areas and not allow the strong ships where the weaker ships are you will not retain players. Recommend you create areas for different strengths and not allow them access to the lower lands. That willl allow the weaker players an opportunity to grow and then challenge those areas.

Bethesda Knockoff
This game I swear is a Bethesda knock off. The only reason I'm giving this game a 2 star rating is because the community is pretty decent and makes the game fun. Other than that this game is full of glitches. From visual glitches to mining nodes disappearing from the systems they're supposed to be in. Visual glitches include but not limited to ships spinning in circles for quite some time. To closing a menu, the menu fades into the background and is still visible. This one also effects gameplay as scrolling or moving through 'space' cannot happen. Gameplay glitches this game has the worst connection and network issues that I've ever seen in an online game. I've played final fantasy 11 online. Some of those include but not limited to ships battle stats when scanning an enemy to comparing it to the battle report. There's glitches where a ship will show in a mining node but be free to move about the system. The game will freeze randomly in the middle of performing tasks. All of these issues I have noticed on both PC and mobile. There's also gameplay tournaments/events that are more geared toward players above a certain level with no chance for low level players to participate (not talking about armadas).

Unstable, expensive and a time-sucker
Bugs. Lots of bugs. So, so many bugs. This game is constantly failing and every time they fix something, they break 10 more things. No thought goes into added or updated features and absolutely nothing gets tested before they roll it out. The game performance is also terrible - so much lag and connectivity issues. They roll out new features so quickly with and push off quality of life updates just because they don’t make them any money like the cash grab of new features. When it works, it can be fun, but unless you’re willing to spend thousands of dollars each quarter, be prepared to grind for hours on end every single day, and even then, you’ll never get ahead, you’ll just fall behind the spenders at a slower rate. Support will also just close tickets on you for no reason. They like the easy tickets, but if you challenge them even in the slightest with a new bug or issue, you’ll get silence for a week and then they’ll close your ticket out for you. If you do get lucky enough to get a response, it’ll make no sense and you have no hopes of getting them to understand the problem. Sometimes you get a little reimbursement, but most of the time you don’t.

Fun game, horrible app
First I’ll start on a high note: the game is fun. I’m enjoying the depth and variety of play. Now the other foot falls - this is probably the worst app that I’ve encountered! Near constant crashes, freezing up, graphic glitches, play glitches, slow server speed, things happening that I have no name for! If something totally fails (IE your ship won’t move) customer service is quick to respond, I’ll give them that! Long story short, if you play this game you should be prepared to endure these problems. I feel, because it is enjoyable, it’s worth it to play. Now, with this review, there will most likely be a standard response on how they have identified the problems and are working on them…. This is more or less untrue, as these problems have been happening long before I started to play. Update: I’m changing my rating down to two stars. I just discovered that there is a daily limit to how many hostiles you fight (for some unholy and unknown reason.) Once you hit that limit, you can no longer get profit or rewards or experience point. So, basically, you are being punished for playing the game too much. Update: dropping the review down to one star. Whatever they did with this last game update has made it basically unplayable. Lag and error codes…

Horrible Player Environment
It’s very unfortunate that a game like this with the property it holds allows for a free for all pvp system that severely punishes your causal player or player trying to lvl up but are constantly harassed by more experienced players purposely staying at a lower level to destroy ships without provocation under the guise of “aggressive gameplay”. It’s ridiculous that there is 0 moderation for this game, and it fosters (and rewards) online bullies to continuously harass up and coming players for their sheer enjoyment. It’s incredibly disheartening that these players are allowed to run amok and do as they please with absolutely no consequence. The more I play, the more frustrated I become and it’s getting to the point where this app is going to get deleted because it is no longer fun to play. The entire Star Trek franchise is about inclusion and these players are doing everything they can to ruin a Star Trek experience, and that they’re allowed to do it with impunity. It’s very disappointing. Further, the iPad version of the game constantly crashes. If it’s not the players ruining the experience, it’s the bugs in the game. I would advise against picking up this game and waiting for another development to truly respect the franchise instead of simply slapping a Star Trek skin on a corrupt pay-to-win free for all pvp “strategy” game. I expected better.
