Summit is the best bank that I’ve ever done business with. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The app allows a quick glance for multiple accounts, p2p payments, check depositing, etc. The app is also compatible with the Apple Watch and allows a quick glance at balances and recent transactions. That being said, there’s always room for improvement. Debits do not always instantaneously show and may be delayed for days on the weekend. Automatic bill pay would also be a welcomed feature. Overall the app works as advertised and is convenient.
Summit is the best bank I have ever used. Their customer service is second to none. They know their customers by name and I know every teller by name. They are friendly yet very professional and make sure you are satisfied each and every time you go to the bank. People sometimes say to me that don’t have enough offices in Winchester but since one branch is open late and on Saturdays I have never found that to be an issue. If you are thinking about choosing a new bank, I highly recommend Summit Community Bank.
Excellent customer service. Always a quick and helpful response anytime I have an issue. My wallet was stolen years ago and over $400 was stolen from my account. They set me up with a new account and reimbursed me. Weeks later my rent came out of my old account (I forgot to change account info with my apartment complex). They actually called me and let me know it was trying to come out of my old account, helped me get it sorted out, and prevented me from being late on rent. Good bank and good people.
I love this app when it works. I pay my bills, check balances and tie all of my accounts together. I also can check my credit score plus some other great features. My issue is i can not even get the app to open up when i click on it from the Home Screen. It’s just blank. I have had to delete and reads numerous times. So frustrating it as it ususally happens when i need it most.

The banking app is very user friendly and convenient to keep up with my banking needs. I like the fact that I can quickly transfer funds, keep up with my transactions to make sure they are correct and conduct all of my banking needs on the app. The relatively new P2P feature is a great way to send funds. The mobile deposit feature is also very convenient.
I am not at all pleased with the Summit app. I have never been able to pay my bills directly from the phone. I contact support and was told I needed to pay them first from my laptop and then it would work online. Needless to say, I still cannot pay my bills electronically. I also do not like that if I pay a bill that the payer uses the same bank, it takes 3-5 days to reach their account. If I pay any other business that does not use Summit bank, the bill is paid immediately. I have an account with another bank and can do all these things right from the app on my phone. Get it together Summit, you need to keep up or give it up.
This banking app is decent. It could stand some updates/reworking to make it more ergonomic. The mobile check deposit system needs some work. It should have the ability to use flash when you are capturing the image of the check. I just closed my account at Wells Fargo and moved to Summit. The two things I miss about Wells Fargo was how easy it was to use their banking app and the fact that you could get your bank card personalized for free. At Summit, you have to pay $10.
My original bank, who I had banked with for over 20 years, merged with Summit a few months ago. I have had nothing but problems! My statements have been sent to not only my current address but my old address. Thank goodness I’m friendly with the people who live there and they got them to me. I can’t mobile deposit at all. It tells me I need to be logged into the app when that’s where I’m at trying to make the deposit. I know that with a merge there are things that need to be worked out but this is ridiculous! Especially when I never had a problem before.
After huge improvements over the past year or so, this is now the banking app I was hoping for. Now I can easily make person-to-person transfers, deposit checks, pay bills (using a simpler mobile interface or a more-detailed desktop one), manage multiple accounts, etc. I’ve always loved the local folks at Summit, and now they have a first-rate app as well.
Bill pay makes you think a check has cleared and it hasn’t. Then it clears and throws your account out of balance so they can charge you a service charge. It doesn’t show what comes out to date. Why can’t it show everything that is coming out daily. Like a running statement. My whole account not just bill pay.
They’re honestly the best bank. I know that my money will always be there and they are always a call away! Plus, I can deposit cash at the atm and it’s there within seconds. My paycheck? Take pics and it’s in there by that night or super early the next morning! Thank you summit community bank for taking care of myself and valuing your customers. 10 out of 10 bank! I’ve banked with summit for over 2 years now! I take my child to the bank every month for a lollipop! Every time we are there we always have a great experience! The app is just as good. Very user friendly and very responsive! Great app! Definitely a 10 out of 10 bank!
Still extremely slow to update. Always under maintenance at least once a day and will show you either have no money or show nothing at all for sometimes a few hours. Some transactions don’t process for over a week but I can pay out of my other account and they show up almost instantly. I just don’t understand it. Not sure if it is the app or the bank itself but it is very slow to update! I have central bank as well and it is almost immediate on most transactions.
This app feels a step closer to user friendly technology. Very simple to manage my various accounts without the confusion that I've suffered through countless other banking apps. Also, if for some reason you get confused, there's always a knowledgeable associate available to answer any questions.

Summit become our new bank in Winchester, Ky., exactly the same week we were selling our house and needed to make a major deposit. Summit customer service, along with the mobile app, made everything very easy and gave us all the confidence in the world in Summit Community Bank.
Easy to view transactions, set up bill pay, transfer from checking to savings, you can set this to all be automated too and change at any time in the app. Remote deposit checks! Great real time info on the account. Now if it could only monitor and help me set out a budget, that would be great. There’s your next upgrade.
The only bank in my area that offers multiple services. Like same day card replacements. And much more. They care for the regular Joe who is busting there rump to make a dollar. And they truly take care of that dollar like it’s there own.
Absolutely excellent app! Very,very easy to use very quick to use. One can make transfers, check your balance, etc. within 30 seconds or less. I highly recommend it! I recommend it especially for those of us who are not computer savvy🤭🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
The summit app is a huge mess. Firstly, why are the charges or deposits showing as “pending for days? And then it moves around debits and credits. As in, I make a purchase for $100. Then I deposit $300 and make another $50 purchase afterwards. The app will show as if I made both purchases before the deposit and make my account look weird. Then debits disappear and reappear. It’s a huge mess. I’ve never had a banking app have so many issues. I’m researching other banks to take my business to.
Love the app!! It’s great to make mobile deposits and check out your balances of my accounts. Love being able to transfer money back and forth from one account to another in case I may be low in one that I know s payment is coming out soon in. Thanks and I love my bank!!!
I love the mobile app. It’s so easy to navigate and keep up with my accounts. Being able to do check deposits, & account fund transfers, is a wonderful feature that makes my busy life so much more manageable! I rate my Summit banking app a 5 star.
Could use some redesigning to make it more visually appealing. Also take awhile for transactions to process and post potentially creating confusion between “available” and “current” balances. Apart from that it is a high quality yet simple banking app that gets the job done.
This app is awesome once you learn all the basic “need to know “ and “how too’s” which your bank is able to explain the basics to you. It is easy to use and I can even set up so my utility bills come out of my account. It even had a FAQ tab under menu !
Great app to help stay on top of my finances! I love being able to check my balance from anywhere at anytime. Having mobile check deposit and Person to Person payments makes this an app I use every day.
I have. Ever had a problem with this APP until recently in the last week or two I cannot get the APP to open. I tap it, it get full screen like it’s going to open and immediately goes away. I have removed the APP three times. Each time it will work once and when I go to open it the next time, it will not open.
It has a few bugs where it has me reset my Face ID and has me have to call the bank to get new login information then change it to a different password. Also finding routing number through app is near impossible. Have to contact customer service for routing number.
