SWANN security cameras
These are the best I’ve found on the market for the price we paid why wife & i have looked at a whole bunch of security cameras and what we’ve found out there in the market for the price was as good as it get the only set back was we didn’t get any way to be able to communicate with anyone back & forth so this is the only set back on these cameras that I found and i really don’t like that we’re in the process of seeing if there’s a way to have a speaker to be able to add on these systems because there’s a Jack on the main system too hook up a 2 way speaker but we haven’t found out how or where to get this speaker system In order to hook up a 2 way voice control communication system so we are still looking into this as I’m writing this review for SWANN hopefully they’ll see this comment and help us out if not we will not be buying this product like this ever again

Not sure how people are so happy
I bought this camera system for a vacation property so I could monitor it while not being there. The cameras went up easy and set up was easy. The issues I have is using them. Remotely, it’s very glitchy. Often it can take one to two minutes to do a playback. Recently I find I need to switch from mobile to high just to review it. Even then, it takes a long time to watch the video because it starts and stops, over and over. The other issue I have is that it constantly drops cameras. I’ve had 3 cameras that worked just fine and then they disappear from my app. Then miraculously come back days or weeks later. I just don’t understand it. I did an overhaul on the system a few weeks ago, even replacing Ethernet cables. It worked fine for a few days and then another camera disappeared. On that, there’s always one camera that constantly records video for playback and the others don’t. So one camera will leave 50 videos a day and zero for the others. I feel as though the the product is good, because from the NVR and monitor it works great, but the app is terrible. I have Arlo cameras on my other house and I can adjust the cameras so many different ways from the app. The Swann app is terrible compared to the Arlo app. You can’t hardly do anything from the app, including watching your cameras.

System is not user friendly
Sadly we invested thousands of dollars on Swanns camera system. Cameras do have decent quality but that’s it. This is the most unfriendly user camera system on the market. Customer service is useless . Cameras claim to have face recognition and even tattoo recognition but heaven forbid you just want to forward a small playback clip via text or email. There’s the send arrow but as soon as you press send you get a failure notice. Our cameras caught a crime and multiple police were here and no one could get a playback video to send . Never had anyone encountered a system so difficult and it’s something they have to do often. We still can’t send videos to this day. We had to put flood lights up because night vision does not work. Cameras go off with the wind or a mosquito and no one knows how to get settings to only go off when a real person is on our property. Our cameras alert us so often we don’t even look anymore. Not at all what we wanted. I seriously wish we bought any other system . Swann you really need to take some lessons from every other camera system out there on the market. Make this system user friendly and how about a instructional manual . Customer service doesn’t even know how the cameras work , it’s a waste of hours of our time on the phone with them with no resolution . Big thumbs down

Beware!!!
Recent news—- I bought a brand new up to date 1080p and it still has problems with this app. So even the new magnetic cameras doesn’t stay connected and doesn’t stream. Absolutely the worst security cameras. Don’t waste your money, DON’T rely on on Swann cameras to watch your house.... Below explains some of my issues with tech support. —. My 4 small 1080p magnetic CAMERAS DON’T WORK since swann went to the new app. I have been with the old app for like 5 yrs. and never a problem. I have these cameras to watch on my 92 yr old mother while I’m at work. I have talked to numerous techs since app switch in June and nothing they will not stream.” On Sept 22 I got a phone call from a tech named Frank who said his supervisor approved 4 new cameras to be sent to me. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THEM YET!” I called and ask for them to have Frank Marino call me, but i get no where!!!. The dummy’s that answer the phone keep wanting to warranty out my 1080p spotlight camera on my patio. BUT I’m not having problems with that one. However they send a refurbished spotlight camera and i never asked for it... Update spoke to a girl named Liz who said she would stay on top of this and was going to call me back, she never did and Frank still hasn’t called me back. Unreal these camera don’t work with this app, but they were fine with the old app.

Modes useless for intelligence detection notifications
Again. Please please make your modes work for all notifications not just motion. Your hard work is useless to all of us that use the more advanced cameras with intelligent detection. We have no camera control at all with the App. Thanks Please please make to modes work for any notification not just motion. Motion is being phased out in the industry to more advanced events and triggers. We use only only human/vehicle analytics and face recognition. So please simply make available notifications control to be on/off regardless of event. We are using the newer 887 cameras only on some locations. The better picture quality is making se very difficult to play playbacks Even though we have very broad band widths on our Wi-Fi’s and servers. The latest NVR release is very good and you app guys are getting there. Thanks

Beware - App rating is likely unreliable
I am not sure how this app has achieved an almost 5 star rating or any rating above 3 stars really. Within the last year, the rating had been hovering around 2 stars and likely plummeting due to much much much dissatisfaction from customers who used to use the Safe by Swann app, but had to migrate over to Swann Security. They have made much improvements to the Swann Security app, but it still stands no where near the Safe by Swann app in terms of reliability, responsiveness, and user friendliness. We have been open to giving this app a chance, but about a year later, we are now reconsidering these Swann security cameras (again). The app is slow, buggy, and we are almost never able to see live views. Most of the time, it’s just checking out recordings IF it even picks up recordings. I know it’s a Swann Security app issue because we didn’t have these issues with the previous app. Overall, make sure you’re reading some of these reviews before buying any Swann security products. It’s a shame if you purchase something and you cannot adequately manage security through their app (that is supposedly worthy of 4+ stars).

Bad interface, lack of performance, and not intuitive in any way.
How are apps this bad still in use? Interface is terrible. App will log you out every other day or so, and best of luck in being able to log back in given that the system and user access are entirely separate so you will end up with 7 different passwords, none of which will work. Want notifications whenever something happens that you have your camera’s monitoring? Too bad. Maybe your neighbors will tell you what time someone was at your door and you can go back and search for that video clip, otherwise you’re out of luck. Even if you had a notification, the app and Camera feed wouldn’t be able to actually load in a timely manner to make any difference. Let’s say by some magic you are able to log in and see something you want to record and then share across your neighborhood group.... best of luck. No export capability within the app. Can’t export video even if you can find out how to make a video recording. Dissatisfied would be an understatement. If the install hadn’t have taken so long, I’d be replacing the entire camera system because this app is so terrible.

Don’t waste your money
This system is a year old and almost doesn’t work at all on my phone. And now the system itself is not working right. I will start searching for a replacement unit in the morning. Clearly this one is just one glitch after another. Has stuff stolen at a neighbors which my camera faces and I can not even get the camera is now all Smokey looking and it’s only two car lengths away. Tonight my front camera light is on and I can’t get it to turn off. Unplugged the system. Reset it everything. So do I leave the light on or go without a camera…… not that I can get playback anyways. Don’t waste your money.

Disappointed
I bought one floodlight with camera to try it out and was very happy for the most part except the application took forever to open at times and that was very frustrating especially after receiving a notification but......I decided camera was still good so I bought 3 more to place in different areas of home. I now regret doing it because the application seems to be worst. I get notifications (like 60+ at times) and try to open camera live view to see what’s going on and nothing, won’t open, just “spins” saying trying to connect then once it does finally display if at all I try to click on view individual camera and again takes forever to actually open up to view and use mic or just to monitor movement. Most of the time I end up just closing the app because it’s too frustrating. Internet connection is good and I keep up with updates so I know it’s none of that to be an issue. I have since purchased a Ring and see the difference so definitely regret buying the swann products and WILL NOT be recommending to anyone!

Cameras work off and on
I too am confused why this app is showing 4.7 stars. This has been a terrible security experience. We’ve had these cameras for a little over a year now since we had our garage broken into. The cameras and app were great for the first 4 months and then started to give us error messages or update messages every week and the cameras stopped recording, even when motion would pass. Over the course of several months we just gave up on the cameras; every couple of months the cameras will all of a sudden come back online and give us 100 notifications in a row, and then essentially shut back down. Most recently I got a notification that an SD card had been removed, and we never even inserted one. This is a terrible and unreliable system, we’re going to buy another one because we need to know that if anything happens outside our house, it will be recorded, and these cameras are unable to provide us with that piece of mind. Do not purchase!!!!

I agree the app is garbage over a year ago …
Over a year I was using these cameras and they work flawlessly they were awesome then someone (ceo) though it would a great idea to change it up so he could stick cash in his pocket. I went from haveing 3 really nice camera to nothing at all 2 of them are garbage even tech support told me this it all happen when they upadated there app! just 13 months of owning the cameras it was very horrible experience hours spent on the phone . And Schwann security would not send me any new cameras either and tech support are the one who were responsible for it . Needless to say there service is horrible and I will never buy one of there products again! They could of at least made it right now if you look at there cameras they cheaply built plastic the cameras I had were made out a metel enclosure. That what corporate companies do make it as cheap as possible once every one is on there service ! Thanks for nothing!

Actually quite disappointed.
Something just isn’t quite right about the cameras/app. I bought this system after I was robbed to give me peace of mind, to be able to monitor our property and of course for general security/deterrent. 9 out of 10 times when I open the app to check the cameras, it says offline for no apparent reason. Everything was set up correctly by a technician but even he can’t figure out why the app refuses to show live feed. Everything seems “right” yet clearly it’s not. And good luck trying to get support to actually help you! It’s a never ending cycle of frustration that if anything, has just added more stress and costed more money than just getting a few extra guard dogs. Two stars instead of one just because the in house monitor connection has a reasonable display and usage of cameras yet a hassle to get up for viewing.

Please HELP!
The app is not bad except that it is not in HD, I manually have to put it in HD and it does not last long. I also hear no sounds at all which is weird but the Swann device connected to the TV does not make any sound at all. It works really slow which gives me a headache. Now I can’t even see the cameras on my phone because of some technical issue with the app. It said, “ We are currently experiencing some performance degradation due a third-party service provider. We are working with them to restore the service as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.” I did not mind at first since I thought it was not going to take so long but it has been a while and I need to see my cameras to feel assured. Please fix the problem, I didn’t want to complain but it’s too much.

The app work great but I have one point to review
With the new update everything work fine and perfect and thank you so much for listening to us and updating the app and fix all the problems but there is only one problem right now which is the notification for the off-line camera I am receiving a lot of notification for the off-line camera every time the camera is disconnected from the Internet even for a second I receive a notification and normally I’m getting right now like 3 to 5 notification per a minute. So please if you can fix that

Update!
I download an app called TestFlight where I was able to install a beta test app for Swann. The new update solved most of my problems. I am able to use the playback button. There still is a delay between the camera and device you are viewing the cameras on. I’m not sure if is my WiFi or the app. The app and cameras are useless! They are never on line unless you open the app and then they still won’t come on line. Swann asked me to do a speed test on my internet so they can “diagnose “ the problem. Why should I correct their bad products. Only reason I have not brought these back to Sam’s is because my father in law gave them to us as a Christmas present. My wife wanted them up so I put them up. Know they are a $500 decorations on my house!

Works with Google is a joke
I bought the Swann security Enforcer bundle because the box says “works with Google” I have every Google device imaginable due to having my home set up as a Google home. The cameras and quality are amazing, but I can assure you that they do not actually work with Google. If Swann Security and Google cannot work together to get this issue fixed then they should remove the False advertisement from the box. They have been linked to Google Home and they do absolutely nothing. I have even synced them. Google has no Idea how to stream the camera feed. Y’all need to get this issue resolved and fast. Communication is key, I would never had bought this bundle if they haven’t worked with Google. Please fix this issue.

It’s nice but disappointed.
I’ve had these cameras on the nvr for about 6 months now. So far I have the same issue of the cameras blacking in and out on the higher resolutions but on the basic 1080 it works well. I’ve also had a camera get wet due to a horrible storm and ever since it’s not worked properly with condensation inside so bad that the camera is unusable. These cameras are rated weatherproof waterproof and for outside. I’ve email Swann hoping to get this issue fixed under warranty one they have yet to respond back. For the 580$ I spent on these a replacement camera would be nice. I will not recommend this system to anyone else if it’s being used for outside. Mainly due to the customer service. The cameras are really nice and I really want to love these cameras but this one is really putting a bad taste in my mouth.

Clock woes
I cannot set the internal clock at all. My recordings are time stamped incorrectly and are all 10 hours off. It also makes searching for clips extremely difficult because being nearly half a day off has my clips organized haphazardly at best. Sometimes I have to search the next day’s date for clips. I’ve reset the time zone and selected “sync with phone time” numerous times but the time is still incorrect. I even tried a “factory reset” but that seemingly only reset the app. The camera was exactly the same and all of the pre-reset clips are still there. I even subscribed to a cloud plan in hopes that switching to cloud storage would fix the time issue but it did not. There is no manner to actually set the correct time (not timezone, but time). This is incredibly frustrating and I’m experiencing serious remorse over choosing Swann.

Swann App Doesn't work
I've had these cameras for many years and in the beginning the app worked just fine. Then I noticed even after the update how poorly this app operates. Playback doesn't work and now I can't even see anything on the cameras from my phone for days now. They all have a blank screen with a play button. For the amount of money I paid for the cameras I'm extremely disappointed and will be looking into another set of cameras with a totally different manufacturer. This kind of stuff shouldn't be happening. You should be able to look at the camera and check on your house with no issues. Update, I can see the cameras on my phone, but can't play back anything. How frustrating that I would have to use the actual system to playback anything and can't on my phone. Time to search for new cameras

The things I don’t like about swan security
So let’s start of with facts 1.It takes way too long just for me to access my camera for example, if someone was robbing my house it would take about 15 minutes for me to access the camera 2. Doesn’t show exact timing. For example, it will say 15:29 and I have absolutely no idea what time it is and is something went missing I wouldn’t be able to track the time it went missing because it doesn’t show an exact time 3. Lies. So it says you can talk through the camera which is not true so for example, if someone was robbing my house I would be able to say “ hey I can hear you “ So overall of someone robbed me I would have to wait fifteen minutes to acces camera, will not show me timing, and will not let me say “ GET OUT OF MY HOUSE”

Security camera with spotlight
I have a refurbished wired in spotlight/security camera. The camera and spotlight work great but the app is worthless! If I get a notification that someone is outside or in my driveway, I go to my app and it takes forever to connect to the camera!! Geeze, something could be happening that is bad and I can’t connect! I have to go to my other cheaper camera to connect. I will never buy another Swann camera again. Sorry but the app is worthless and I pay for extra and that’s not worth it either. I’m not happy. Also I’d like to add that these camera’s don’t pick up people walking on the road nor does it pick up bikes, dogs, animals, quads, side by sides or even someone walking on my property. Totally worthless. I don’t recommend buying one at all.

Swann Security
Video footage not so clear. App occasionally won’t load up. I tried turning my iPhone 14 pro and my iPhone SE off and back on and app still won’t upload the live stream. It happens anywhere. No particular area. In any case, it’s just frustrating not being able to see your live stream. Oh, and the machine sometimes shuts off during recording. I miss a few minutes of recording. Almost as if someone deleted a small part of the recording. Just stating what it looks like, not accusing anyone of actually doing it. Anyway, playback works great at home, but on the app, most of time glitchy. I’m giving this security system 3 stars because it’s not completely useless. 😫

Swann Xtreem
I have two Swann Xtreem cameras. The cameras are great, but the app is USELESS!!!! Worked great for a year. Then, when it came time to renew my annual plan, issues started. Literally the day I renewed the plan I stopped getting motion detected notifications. Yes, I’ve made sure all notification permissions are allowed both in my phone settings and in the app. Customer service is just as useless as the app is. I’ve updated both cameras and completely deleted the app followed by reinstalling it, as suggested by Swann. After reinstalling it I’ll get notification that day, but the following day I’m back to no notifications again. I have a family member with the same camera (with no paid plan) and she is having the same exact issue. What good is a camera system if the app doesn’t notify you when it detects motion?

Terrible performance and crashes constantly
After buying 8 Swann cameras my app worked until recently. Once I connected my phone to my Swann device after moving I found the the application not only fails to load half the time. But the other half of the time it simply freezes and resets itself after 10-15 seconds. In fact it was so bad that during an active car burglary my app literally froze and I was unawares that the burglar had a gun. Had I seen this on my camera system I would have not gone outside to confront said burglar. Not only will I be replacing my cameras and security system next paycheck. But I would not recommend this system to ANYONE as it will fail you when you need it most need it. I would rate this 0 stars if I could. Terrible service and terrible product.

Issue with updated software
My NVR 16 channel worked ok for few years but the lates update destroyed everything. When I open my app on my phone less than 10 seconds the app stop working. My internet speed is 1000 mbps download and 500 mbps upload. I checked my NVR and it has the latest update. This issue started after Swann updated the software that was about 6 months ago. I would leave 0 starts if that was an option. I give up on Swann removed my NVR that had 12 cameras and I replaced that with HikVision. Also I forgot to mention every time I open the app it keeps telling me the time it’s not matching your NVR time and it wan to update. There is no option to turn that off. My NVR is in different state and the time is different but the app has no option to turn that off.

Battery drainage
While the app it self may be average, its nothing that will blow you away, it seems to drain my battery by massive amounts. For reference I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max and while I am looking at my cams on my phone for just 1 minute it drains my battery by 2%. I then wanted to see how much it drained in a single day and I saw that 15 minutes on the app led to 20% of my battery usage. That’s a crazy high amount. Not to mention that the app it self isn't even fast, it’s slow and takes on average about a full minute to load while on high speed WiFi, however if your using slow WiFi speeds or your cellular data even with a good signal you’ll be lucky to even get past the apps interface.

I’m giving it a three star rating but it really should be two stars. The problem with this cameras is that playback takes forever to play and then when it’s playing it stops doesn’t record everything and you can’t download anything to see what happened other than that the cameras work fine when I turn them on and I can see what’s going on on my property, I also get messages when motion detected which I like but when I record it just a few seconds and it doesn’t show everything that’s going on one time when I had a break and I needed to see what’s going on in the video stop halfway through

Camera quality is good. App is iffy.
The camera quality is very good, but the app quality is not good. App doesn’t pull up sometimes without disconnecting from WiFi which is very timely when trying to quickly see who is at our house when the notifications go off. Just this week we stopped getting any push notifications for any detections. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling, signing out and back in, adjusting all settings both on the app and the receiver itself, restart the receiver and more... nothing has helped. At this point the entire system is essentially pointless for us due to not receiving notifications.

App is horrible.
The system itself is good for the money, not the best interface but not the worst. The app seems to work while using it but it absolutely refuses to be closed. Never since owning an iPhone have I had an app freeze and scramble my phone. When I close the app it freezes my phone for 5-10 mins 100% of the time I use it. I’ve assumed an update will come out but it’s been a few years and nothing. The app was a huge selling point for me and though it works until it decides not to, I can’t use an app that renders my phone inoperable for any amount of time. We’re planning to move and I think I’ll try a new system. Tech these days even the most affordable systems are getting pretty good.

Push notifications
I stopped receiving push notifications through the app after 8 months since I bought it , the support team they are useless, is really hard to get in touch with them and you have to explain over and over again what is the issue because they don’t know what are they suppose to know, I tried with them for about 3 months, they gave me a hard time then I had to give up, since then I’m still having the same problem

Have to reboot system constantly
Our system worked fine for about 8 months and then the camera kept going off-line with no alerts. I had to reboot the system almost every day by disconnecting the power to it for 30 seconds. I called customer service and they had me reprogram the entire system. It worked fine again for about five days and then the system started needing to be rebooted again every day to make work. Now after a 12 months, rebooting doesn’t even work. No motion alerts, only the live camera works when you manually open it and that seems random. Not worth the trouble anymore. It’s become a very expense spotlight.

Five Stars and more.
I would be lost without the Swann cameras. They are the most reliable of all the things I have bought. My small restaurant is something I have put my heart and soul into for many years. Now that Im older, I am not there as often as I had been in past years Aha! But my wonderful Swann system is At my fingertips daily. My loyal employees Do not mind that I look in on them every day; they’re used to it. It gives me a complete picture of how everything is going. Thank you. Thank you Swann ! 💕

Viewer issues
The app interface is simple yet there are bugs to address. First I would like to see if I can have all my cámaras on a fit to screen. Basically see all my cámaras at the largest magnification possible while fitting into a single screen. I also noticed that changing timing settings in motion detection and person detection resulted in multiple error messages Otherwise I satisfied with this product and wouldn’t mind changing my review to a five star if the above issues are addressed

Horrible is not the word this is horrendous
Absolute horrible App. You cant view anything after a millie second the app glitches and doesnt let you view. It glitches all the time horrible app. Im going to sell my cameras now not worth it. By the time you can view the camera it maybe bedtime and you may not see the burglar. Again horrible trust me its bad. This is horrible do not buy these cameras let alone dont download the swann app its very bad. Im surprised this app is still running. I would never recommend this app not even to my worst enemy is that bad. Trust me regular 1975 cable doesnt glitch like this absolute wwste of money my time and energy. I hope people read this and see im indeed more than this horrible app is worth. Dont down load thanks.

App is very glitchy
The Swann Security app has many flaws, it’s very glitchy and doesn’t even allow swiping up and down which blocks the viewing of other cameras. It gets stuck when you open it and I can’t even use the menu options most of the times. The app needs to be fixed as it’s almost useless at the moment. I also suggest adding playback in which we can scroll through exactly what time we want to see as available in other security camera apps. Otherwise, the camera and hardware is great, it’s just the app which is having many problems. As soon as this issue gets fixed, I’ll bump it up to 5 stars.

Some suggestions…
I personally don’t like how the arrows for playback are counterintuitive. It was decided that the left arrow is actually going forward for reviewing the most recent events and the right arrow is reviewing past recordings, going back in time. It really should be the other way around. The only other suggestion I have at the moment also for playback, is to place a person icon near the thumbnail to show events showing human detection versus the countless, pointless triggers from a hedge row privacy fence or other inanimate objects. That way we can skip viewing all those pointless recordings.

Buggy But Not Bad
Love the cameras and Swann system but the software is just ok. Maybe a little better than ok. Maybe it is the latest updates but mine crashes every now and then and locks my phone up. Another thing that irks me is you have to restart the app if you open another window of make a call for example. One feature I wish they would add is the ability to set up the Do Not Disturb feature at certain times. I need it on when my employees are at work. I don’t need to get an alert every time they trigger a camera. I want alerts at night and when my business is closed.

Disorganized live view
Deal breaker. My businesses are split (8 locations) between Swann and another brand. The Swann Security app will not allow me to see individual location NvRs I have to scroll through ALL 64 CAMERAS and hunt the one I need to see instead of being able to pick the NVR of the location I need and then looking at its cameras. This is counter intuitive, not business user friendly and unless I’m missing something, this cannot be changed. I don’t believe this was like this in the previous version. I’ll gladly change my review given this changes or can be changed. Otherwise will be suggesting the other brand to future franchisees and future stores.

Two reliable years!
We installed four cameras outside of our home, I love the app. I can use it even when the Wi-Fi is off, the sound is amazing. I also have my computer wired to watch them 24/7, my husband has a tv specifically for the cameras. We will install more cameras in the future. Thankful for the reliable service especially the night vision to keep an eye on our cats, and family of skunks. 😹 🤦🏼‍♀️ 🤷🏼‍♀️

App needs improvement
Just installed my cameras. I love the quality but the app needs some revisions. Please include an end time for the the schedules! I want a start and end time. I’m having so many issues with the schedules not working properly. My night schedule doesn’t work but the daytime one does (I don’t want this one). I’ve tried everything. It would also be nice to have thumbnails of the incidents, vs a sentence such as “person detected”. Take away the graphs…just give us thumbnails that we can click on.

Glitches
There are many glitches that always happen at the wrong time. I know it is incredibly difficult to write software or edit coding, but it seems like every other month there is something new that glitching. While I am watching the screen of footage it just goes black. You name it. I update my phone nightly and sometimes your update fixes thing and sometimes it doesn’t. I appreciate everything that gets done to fix the glitches, but I would love to be one of the people who can help communicate what glitches are happening.

Doesn’t live up to the advertising!
Bought these new camera because my old system was old and was unable to replace camera if one went out as now longer made. New features on new systems don’t all work on a laptop only on my phone. The lettering on my monitor is very small and very hard to read. Picture quality is no better than my old system and nite vision option very grainy and doesn’t really improve the view. System needs some updates!

Constantly offline
Cameras are never connected. Cannot watch from phone while out of house, because cameras are offline, live view has stopped, play back mode never works and when it does decide to play... it’s super choppy starting and stopping. Constantly getting error messages instead of playback or live view. I just had motion detected at my garage but can’t see anything through the app on my phone because I am getting “live view has stopped” message. Wish I had ordered a different brand of camera. Why have them to watch your house while not there... if you can’t watch your house? Defeats the purpose of having the cameras.

Terrible app and poor features
I have the wifi flocam2 which is an outdoor camera with a flood light kit. Lights attract bugs like moths and mosquitoes which is expected. What’s not expected is that the bugs attracted by the light cause the motion sensor on the camera to register continuous movement AND the light stays on forever- even if you set the timer to the lowest (30) second setting the light just blinks I’ll and then back on again. My neighbors thought I was in trouble until I turned the light off all together which is why I wanted it in the first place. I called support and they told me that there was no other setting to make the light kit or camera less sensitive. Terrible!!!

Camera system
Very easy to install…. Picture looks good when viewing from actual box the cameras hook up to… the app I find very frustrating. Not practical for monitoring home from work or away on a trip. Picture cuts in and out horribly. I get 1-2 seconds of live stream and then cuts, and I have to wait 20-30 seconds for it to start again and then bam it cuts out again. Very frustrating when you actually have things happening around your home.. the app is the systems biggest down fall, and at this time I wouldn’t recommend Swann to any friends or family

Cameras are great, access to feed on app is poor.
Camera quality is great but the playback on the app is constantly not working. Cameras say they’re offline. I can log into it through my tv when home and they’re working great but it’s very inconvenient and takes too long. When someone is at my door or on my property I need instant access to my cameras. Would love the developers to address the issues with the app. Update: Still working poorly after the update. Live feed is basically nonexistent on my phone, let alone if the cameras themselves come online. Disappointed with my purchase.

Disconnect constantly! Useless!!
I have 2 cameras (SWWHD-INTCAMPK2-JP). Wifi signals are strong, internet speed is good, and the wifi modem is within 1.5m range. Wifi is connected to my phone no problem so credentials is all correct. But cameras go offline or disconnect out for no reason still. It always happens all of the sudden. Then, I try to reset the cameras and reconnect, the blue lights flash quick every time and it says failed and wifi info is not correct even though it is absolutely correct and no problem with internet in the room. Please improve this ASAP otherwise the products are useless. We had no problems with old app. I’m tired of dealing with offline cameras...

Awesome security system and app
Swann cameras have always had good ratings, but held off purchasing until they improved the iPhone app. The app has been greatly improved over this past year. And Swann Support was great helping me with a setup issue. I did find though, if the app is already open on my phone the cameras don’t always show. I just have to close the app and reopen it and everything is there.

Great but Improve App Integration!!
The cameras and overall product are great. It’s not an easy install when doing wired but it is definitely worth it!!! The app works well for live view on my phone, like really well! My love complaint is the integration with smart device's. With my Alexa it’s not perfect. Most voice commands try to start app only for it to fail. When they do work my view time is less than I would like. I’d pay for better smart device capabilities!!!!!

Horrible as of late
The app has been giving me internal server errors all day. What’s even worse is it’s so laggy that by the time the app loads once you get a notification it’s too late. It shouldn’t take 5 minutes to simply get an app to load so you can view footage. It defeats the whole purpose of remote playback. This app needs serious overhauling. To make matters worse all my cameras from my NVR keep disappearing and getting dropped from the app. Having notifications is also pointless because by the time you open the app 2-3 minutes has passed and you’ve missed the activity. The app started out great and it’s now just unstable.
