Straight B.S!!!!!
The biggest cheating game ever!!! Even when you pay for gems, this game cheats big time. I have top notch WiFi in my house and this game will show signal issues and cause none to lose shots, serves & games.....B.S!!! This game will push you/prevent you from standing in a spot often. Screen will not move far enough over so you can run to the desired spot when needed. The constant screen freezing which allows the opposite player to hit the ball without you being able to run to it. Let’s talk about how this game will let a player who is clearly nowhere near the area you are hitting the ball and then the ball stops MID-AIR to allow the opposite player to catch the ball and hit it... if that isn’t straight B.S. I love there’s an round white indicator for where your ball is going to land but then your ball sometimes doesn’t even land in the spot it’s showing it supposed to. There’s so much more to complain about but I believe you get the point. I truly dont think the developers listen/read this reviews to because this game could be so much more better than what it is. They are to interested in cheating and ruining a potentially wonderful game/app.

The game is really fun, but…
This game is one of the most fun games I have ever played and is very, very enjoyable, but there are a few bugs that I have noticed and are pretty annoying. (1) For starters, when I connected to Facebook, it used my Facebook profile picture as the same one for tennis clash without permission, and afterwards when I disconnected Facebook from Tennis Clash through Facebook as well as the game, my profile picture was still not changeable, and when I changed my pfp on Facebook, it for some reason (even though the game was disconnected from Facebook) changed to my new profile picture on Facebook. This worries me about the security and information taken from us when connecting anything to the game. Something that could be changed to fix this issue is maybe allow users to change their profile picture regardless of whether they have connected to Facebook or not, and if a user has disconnected from Facebook, the apps removes any profile pictures associated with the user’s Facebook account. (2) The coins earned section in the profile section has a bug for sure. In that section, it says my total coins earned is 960, but then it says my current amount of coins is 5,548. This seems pretty off. (3) This is just advice, but maybe there could be a system where users create accounts using an email and can also change their pfp regardless. Hopefully these issues are fixed in the near future.

Fun but Frustrating!
There are lots of good things in this game like the controls and graphics/animation, but there are other things in the game that need to be fixed before they become too much for people to deal with and they delete the game! Top of the list: Match making. At first I was getting well balanced opponents and things were looking up, but before I could praise the game for it’s fairness in match making, things turned down south(for me, of course). After my first 10-15 games, I was constantly being matched against players 2x to 3x my skill level. The result was me getting obliterated every match and getting frustrated. It’s really not right when I am put up against an opponent who can blast the ball at the speed of light while my player is crawling slower than a snail trying to make a return. Your mismatched opponents are lighting fast who can hit the ball at unthinkable speeds while your helpless slow poke player is watching them celebrate after embarrassing you. The other thing, although not as big of a deal, that’s taking the fun away from the game is that there are too many prize bags/boxes to pay attention to. Just have one prize bag feature instead of presenting overwhelming amounts because the main menu is cluttered with so many prize features. The biggest issue that needs attention is matchmaking by far. Overall It’s a great game with lots of room for improvement. I will update my rating to 5 stars when matchmaking is taken care of.

Matchmaking
I thought I was falling in love with the game until I started getting matched with people that literally move around the court like they’re gliding on ice and smashing the ball back to u as u crawl slower than a snail and in most cases don’t make it to the ball and in the other case there are two parts. Either you manage to barely make it there and volley the ball causing you to put yourself in an energy draining situation until you meet your demise OR you get there in time to hit the ball comfortably only to volley the ball anyway no matter how hard you hit it within legal bounds. I’ll have a clear slam and win situation in front of me only to volley the ball and watch my opponent skip happily over to it and turn the tides because, remember, uneven matchmaking. I’m asking myself is there something I’m doing wrong but when I do the training, I hit the ball fast in the direction I want but when it’s time to smash the ball in game, I can be in the best placement with suits energy and and hit the ball with enough force to where it should be a smash but will still volley the ball giving up my potential point. This is super frustrating. It’s to the point where there is literally no reason to play the game. I’ve already spent a few dollars on the game so now I’m realizing that I’m just on the road to paying you guys and still being frustrated with the game making it pointless to have downloaded.

Review
This game is really fun but the problem is that I get this game and the bags have a slot of 4 and take like 4-8 hours to open and I ignore that since I play for fun but no. If you don’t get bags and you don’t get money then you can never win. I see plenty people have no skill and my attributes are higher in every category except stamina and speed since the frickin bags won’t open and every time I hit the ball to one side and make up a strategy my stamina is already on red while there’s is on green and they are magically already at my ball OR the ball suddenly moves in slow motion waiting for the opponent to come to the ball and they hit it way stronger than my hit WHEN MY ATTRIBUTES FOR HIT ARE LITERALLY HIGHER. Not only that but they continue matching me against players that have 2-3 times better attributes than me and I can’t upgrade my attributes BECAUSE IT COSTS LIKE 2,000-4,000 AFTER 2-3 FRICKIN UPGRADES AND I DONT EVEN GET ANY MATERIALS SINCE I HAVE TO WAIT 8 HOURS FOR JUST ONE BAG OF MEASLY NOTHING TO OPEN. I’ve deleted this game so many times and re downloaded hoping it would get better. But no no no no no no. It doesn’t. The game is real fun in the beginning but as you continue to lose even when ur skill is obviously better it just gets frustrating. Especially since you literally can barely upgrade your attributes since ur continuously losing to people with 2-3 times your attributes and lose all the measly money you got.

Love the game, but ...
This is a really fun game to play, but the progression in developing your tennis player characters is slow, can be costly if you let it, and more than anything the current glitches are annoying. The current annoying glitches include: (1) sometimes you hit a clear winner that undoubtedly went in and the game will still award the point to the other player for no apparent reason; (2) similarly, sometimes when you hit your first serve instead of having a fault called and getting to hit a second serve, the game will just give the point to the other player; (3) sometimes when you play in the back court (which is often necessary when you get matched against other players with an insanely higher and untouchable skill level) the game collapses/closes when you flick your finger to hit the ball, with the result being that you miss your shot, the point goes to the other player, you have to rush to relaunch or call up the game screen again so you can continue play, and when you do your character gets stuck and can’t move and if it’s your serve then the next time you serve the ball the serve will go flying off in some bizarre unintended direction thereby giving you a fault and wasting an entire service attempt. These are big glitches that definitely need to get fixed.

Regarding tennis experience in this app for last 3 & 1/2 years
I have played here daily, in the beginning it was fun, after the 1st year completed, 2nd year through present has been down ward spiral in terms of not progressing to higher tier trophy’s or winning higher percentage rates when it comes to match playing against other players or possible bots. Its really disappointing to say the least. For me, I want to prove that the people that created this app was not for the enjoyment of tennis players that love the game, it’s solely purpose was to make the consumer buy & buy to make the player think if one would increase in higher levels, his or her play would increase & make it fun. For me, Its been nothing but disappointment and negative unrealistic outcomes. For example, right now I’m level 14, and the system sets me up with someone at level 12. That level player still has a legitimate chance to beat me. In which most cases half the time he or she does beat me. How is that possible? I will never know. I’m just describing and telling you my overall experience. When playing level 15 players. 100% of the time. I lose 7 to 0. It’s either they are purposely doing this to me, or that’s how all players receive this type of experience. Regardless, this has to be fixed. Lots of people have left since they upgraded to 2.0. They should have left it alone. They have made it worse and almost impossible to get to level 15. I give this app 1 star. In all honesty.

So many bugs and some impossible scenarios
This game is great, but there’s much room for improvement. The bugs are ridiculous. Majority of my matches that are loss occur only because of a random glitch. I’ve witnessed some crazy glitches. There was a time in which despite I was tapping the screen to move my player, his feet remained planted. His arms didn’t even move. There have also been countless amounts of times in which my player gets to the ball and I swipe what could’ve been a game winner , but he just doesn’t swipe at all. I have had , “wifi connection,” symbols pop up mid play despite my WiFi connection works incredibly well - not to mention, with full bars. It’s really unfair, I feel as though when I spent actual cash for coins that’s when more glitches started to appear. I’ve been blowing through coins on matches that I can typically fairly win. For tennis lovers and enthusiast this game is great. Every now and then you get a good rally with someone who strategizes, but when the game glitches it doesn’t matter how, “good,” you are you will lose. I don’t even want to get started on the seemingly impossible hits some players are able to do when juiced up at ridiculous levels with racquet power ups. The loot bags are nice for coins and gems, but the card system is a joke. 7,200 coins for one point upgrade on stamina - and that’s if you even get the card. Aside from that the game isn’t awful and I do enjoy playing it here and there.

Tennis Clash Review
Tennis Clash is a super fun game but… for this review I want to call Tennis Clash (TC) so it’s easier. When I first started TC I started off at a really low level and it was hard to get to the top where I am at 100 now. After 100 I started winning more and have moved up and made the game a lot easier to play with friends. I wish that Tennis Clash had a way to play against your friends other than joining Facebook. Maybe that could be a new update for the game.I also like the three bags just in case you run out of money so you can get higher level. I also like the addition where are you can enter a challenge area where you keep opening cards but when you get the racket you have to re-do the game but it’s super fun when you win stuff for free. Its like the lottery. I also like how you win cards and get new players from just opening a free kit I have a girl now and she’s way better than a boy that I started off with. People may quit because of how hard it is to level up with meeting people and some people think it might be fake how you play against other players. But overall I think tennis Clash is a great game to play when you are bored and at home or you just need some fun in your life and challenges, it’s a great game and everyone should try it.

Great game, very competitive, but unfair pairings
I love this game, tennis is my favorite sport to play and watch. This game believe it or not helps me on the court as well. Although there are a few bugs and game freezes every now and again it’s a good layout and design and interface. The biggest problem I have is the very very very very very very very very very very very very very very unfair match pairing. It seems to happen more after I actually purchase some of the offers to stay in the game. I rather not buy items as I love a fair game through and through and don’t want to rush to get bigger leads and upgrades but instead learn the game but it makes no sense for me to be paired with players that have 8-12 point advantages on the most important elements. I typically play the Rome and Moscow tours. If I’m really down Tokyo it is. It use to be based on trophies average it appeared several months ago which was wrong and has since changed but please look into the match pairing. Sometimes I’m going into a match knowing I’m gonna lose but rarely sometimes I’m surprised of a win. I’ve been playing this for the past year I’d say and I’ve seen no major enhancements to this function. Although I do love the regular updates for bug fixes and characters etc, but I’ve seen many many post about this and it’s yet to be addressed.

Inconsistent gameplay. Disappointed.
One minute my hits land where I aim, the next minute my opponent is not only invincible, but my character starts playing horribly. Constantly tripping over and fighting to get to the ball when I’ve had no such issue in previous matches. My opponent could just be a few points better than me and I’m getting dominated. The tutorial is pointless, because no matter how hard or how soft I hit the ball, as long as my opponent is slightly stronger, it just flies off the court or slows down completely. I enjoyed it in the beginning because at least then I was losing more fairly and actually won a few matches. I even spent money on gems because I thought this would be a good game in the long run but those are the last dimes I plan on spending because it’s completely pointless to. I thought maybe I could level the playing field using strings, but nope I still get overpowered by opponents and can barely get to the ball even with longcatch. This game doesn’t feel like it’s based off of skill anymore once you get to a certain point. It does feel pay to win, but not if you’re a low budget person. Based on what I’ve spent (mainly on vip cards and the piggy bank), it’ll probably take hundreds of dollars over time to upgrade enough to stand somewhat of a chance against stronger opponents. It’ll take forever to level up on your own, but it’s less if a waste to do so without the money.

Game is fun but is design flawed
First off this is a really fun game but it should have had much more thorough testing before it was released. Player upgrades cost way too many coins to achieve in a reasonable amount of time. My opponents sometimes will have bad connections so ball will glitch in mid air and then all of a sudden in the blink of an eye they have magically hit it back at me and i missed it and they win the point. Also, when being paired to play against my opponents, i keep getting paired with players who’s stats are out the roof so tell me how i am suppose to have even the slightest chance of winning or just even simply having a decent match. Also, games including this one need to offer more without the users having to spend tons of (actual) money to buy the upgrades in the game. I have never and will never spend my actual money to buy ios game credits and these game designers need to keep this in mind more often when designing these phone games. You (designer of this game) need to offer more cost-free opportunities to the user without the need for the user to spend a bunch of unnecessary amounts of money to advance in these games. I feel sorry for the people who get hooked and spend real $ on these games. Don’t fall victim to this crap, its not worth going broke over.

Bad 🙁
At first this game was everything but after about 4 days it keeps getting harder, which is a good thing but when you hit the ball and it goes a completely different place it makes you want to delete the game. I have almost deleted the game about 4 times because I lose games because I swipe the tennis racket and it goes somewhere else. This needs to be fixed because it is starting to get repetitive. It makes me want to play other games. That’s why I dropped the star rating from a 5 to a 3. But it is fun when it isn’t glitching. And number 2 the matchmaking is horrible you may not see it when your in the rookie league but once you go higher it seems you are getting trolled. Which is very annoying. With the swiping plus this problem is getting no fun to play anymore. Just played another game to give it another chance, the MATCHMAKING is horrible probably one of the worst I have ever seen. If the developers don’t fix this problem a lot of people are going to delete this app. If you are looking at reviews and thinking it is probably not that bad it is bad I would not play this game until 1 you see a update and 2 you see the reviews going up because if you look there is I lot of 3 and below rating’s it may take a little but read them trust me I didn’t and look what happened. READ THE REVIEWS!

Great Fun Competitive Game
I wasn’t gonna give this game 5 stars, because of all the nerfing they do, and the updates sometimes mess up my game play. It’s crazy, and you would have to play and see for yourself. But this tennis game, is really over all great and very fun, and competitive. I love it. Plus they give you gems, and you can buy better strings for your racket. So that’s a plus. But it is a money grabber as well. People spend lots of money trying to build up the characters faster, and buying upgrades strings, But.. you don’t know what your gonna get in these high priced bags, you can buy. You rarely get high quality bags when you win a match, Mostly common bags, are given out. But you do get some good bags. Well if you love the game of tennis, and love to play it. This is a great game to play, I play this more than any other game. And I never played a real game of tennis in my life, and I don’t even watch it. But I have watched some matches and I know some tennis players. But I didn’t have to be a tennis fan, to fall in love with this game. Well Good Luck, (Hint) Don’t waste gems on certain items, build em up and save em for when you really want something. I made that mistake, so do some research on the game before you spend money.

Great Game, has lots of room for improvement
This game is seriously fun and addicting. Being a tennis player, I search for lots of tennis games on the AppStore. There has never been a game before that works like Tennis Clash does. Tennis Clash is unique because you get equipment which is a great idea. It could be improved by being able to customize your higher tier equipment. For example, in real life Wilson allows you to customize your tennis rackets before buying them, all you have to do is pay extra. If they added a section to customize gear it would be a cool way to spend money, and show off your creativity. You could also design your player with the same clothes as one of your favorite pros. This same idea could work with character customization, you could unlock the play styles of characters like Leo’s serve and volley, but not have it attached to the Leo look. You could create your own look for the style or put one of the pre-made looks with that play style. I think these customizations would make the game a lot cooler and more personal, also it could open up platforms to have votes for the best looking players created. Again, I love the game and all of the controls!

A Love-Hate Relationship
I’m really torn on this game. On one hand, it’s really addictive and, when it’s working, a lot of fun to play. On the other hand, while they’re constantly updating the app, it feels like a lot of bugs are getting through. On my iPhone XR, it freezes up often (not responding to swipes) on launch, and games sometimes freeze mid-volley, as well, leaving players to decide whether they want to forfeit or hang out until the other player cries “mercy” and leaves. Some of the game’s dynamics (which they are constantly adjusting to improve) are sometimes very frustrating, as well. It’s not uncommon to come across an overpowered player who can seemingly jump from one side of the court to the other while ball is frozen in mid-air. I don’t know if people are cheating, but even with the upgraded strings (which do improve performance a lot) my characters don’t ever have these abilities. I’ve also noticed that these players often use (basic) nylon strings, so they shouldn’t have those skills. There’s a notable difference between good/better players and people with special abilities. So, there you have it, it’s great and frustrating at the same time. Consider that I’m actually writing this review because I went to play the game and got frozen out of it. Still, I gave it a 3 for being so addictive.

Fun matches. Otherwise awful.
The in-match gameplay is actually pretty fun. It’s simple, but interactive enough for a quick, fun escape from reality. The attribute collecting and character building parts of this game, however, are terrible. (1) Stop giving away nylon strings in bags. Nylon strings should just be the default when you run out of premium strings. I don’t need to collect literally 100s of them. I’m never going to use them all. (2) In general, you collect way more common cards than you’ll ever have the coins needed to upgrade. Each bag should contain coins, gems, and maybe premium strings. You don’t always need to get a card. (3) Each character (or profile) should have its own trophy count. Otherwise, it’s pointless to use a new Level 1 character. You can try to play down in a lower tournament, but you’ll be matched with someone the caliber of your best character and they’ll just destroy you. (4) The complaints others have shared about being matched against much better opponents or being the designated loser often seem true. It shouldn’t be hard to match similar skill levels, but it rarely happens in this game. Often an opponent will inexplicably smash the ball and your shots will coast lazily even though your skills are the same. Then every 3rd match or so you’ll be the one wiping the floor with someone else.

Pros and cons
The game is fun, I play it all the time. The bullseye challenge and the free ticket to the slot machine is a fun addition. The ads to pay for things are really annoying. They want you to spend $3-$20 of real money to get perks in the game. Every time you log in they’re just asking for your money. You should be able to by things from the coins you earn in the game instead of being constantly harassed to spend an excessive amount of real money. Another downfall is that the game gets harder to progress the more you play. It takes way longer to improve your player than it does to move up a league. So players are way better than you if you play a lot, versus if you never play then you have enough wait time to open bags and actually earn stats for your player. I moved up three leagues in two days but only has enough time to open 1 bag because it takes 3-8 hours. The game stops being fun once this happens. I’d be more inclined to spend real money on coins if you could actually buy gear with the coins without waiting for the cards to be able to buy them with coins. I have a ton of coins but still can’t improve as a player, yet I keep getting promoted to higher leagues. It’s a major flaw in the game’s design.

Fun but....
Matchmaking needs work. I've been playing for a few weeks and at the Rookie III stage and am a decent player. I am being matched against much more skilled players that are impossibly fast and experts in the volley, even though all of my attributes are higher than the opponent. Makes the game unrealistic when some characters magically slow down balls that should score normally. Its not fun to get a beating after beating with these far advanced players. I've hit balls as hard as I possibly could to the far opposite side of the court and the opponent ran to the right from the far opposite left side and STEPPED around the ball and hit it with his forehand. The balls just float until the opponent can smash it. When I try to smash the ball, it just floats slowly. It's highly unrealistic. I realize some real tennis players are faster than others, but not 4-5 times faster where you can't get a ball past them no matter where they are and how hard you hit it. As soon as this happens, I turn it off. It needs to be fixed. I buy your strings and play a lot, I shouldn't have to go up against these people... they shouldn't be there in the first place.. I gave it 2 stars because of this.

Never got into Tennis...This did it for me!!
Art style and mechanics are fluid and can totally be improved upon! Skill takes moments to master and each opponent teaches you that you have more to learn just like real sports and Tennis. I sense an overwhelming greed over upgrades and gems and the whole card system. Other games implemented this idea but not with such aggressiveness; sometimes it’s frustrating to get your player to achieve growth in his stats. But it’s so addicting to play! I would love to see an offline option!- To play against bots for coins along with ads. I would like to play and practice when I’m underground on the MTA subway! Also maybe super moves? It would be TOTALLY so rad to watch and can be activated once you’ve reached a certain threshold in a competition— like a “finish him”, sailor moon-esque idea! I feel it’d fit the art style displayed in the loading screen and add more for players to reach for, and save their coint to purchase a “super move” card! I love the games feel and overall see myself keeping this in my game folder with other big names! Thank you for the game and hope to see great things and improvements in the future! Keep serving us greatness

Need to fix their algorithm
I understand needing to balance helpful tools for players - strings, etc - with making the game fair for both players - the developer wants to earn revenue from the upgrades, but when the upgrades are used by one player and not the other, a preordained winner and loser are created. The developer unfortunately has not found that balance - I know almost from the first point whether I will lose or win a particular game, so when it becomes clear the other player had upgraded weapons - a serve that it unreturnable for example because they are using an upgraded tool and I am not, I simply quit right away because why play when you have no chance of winning a point never mind a game. The recent attempt to fix this issue has actually made it worse - this could be an amazing game - the graphics are lovely and when playing another player on equal footing, strategy does come into play and it’s fun. Sadly those games are becoming fewer and fewer, which means my desire to play is lessening as well. As noted I totally get how difficult the balance is for the developer who wants revenue for their game - fair enough - but the revenue model being pursued is going to destroy your game in the end - better to rely more on advertising revenue, or even better, charge to play. What you are trying to do now is ruining your creation.

Absurd Physics
The game is very unbalanced and needs work on the physics engine. In real tennis, it is far easier to return a shot in the same direction in which it came than to change the direction, and the game doesn’t seem to account for that whatsoever. When playing the net, one of the key factors in where you position yourself has to do with the percentage of probability of a return shot, and those sorts of considerations are worthless when opponents can whip a shot past you that would be practically impossible in real life. Also, spin has a huge bearing on shot placement, and there should be some ability to hit topspin, slice, or backspin with the shape of a swipe. Without it, the different play styles are largely mitigated; instead, what matters is having a skill level of 40+ in some attribute and working that as an advantage. It creates a lot of games where the outcome is 7-0 or 0-7, and it’s not much fun to play a game which either isn’t a challenge or doesn’t give you a chance to win. Once a skill level hits 30, any increase beyond that level should be incremental (the difference between a 30 and 40 should be half of the difference between a 20 and 30 and a quarter of the difference between a 10 and 20). With more realistic physics and more balancing with skills, it could be a really fun game. As it is, it’s more frustrating than fun most of the time.

Scam
This game is probably my favorite phone app (personal opinion). However, it is such a scam because if you want to actually compete in games that enhance your profile you have to spend a lot of money. Currently, my character is decent and that is how he will stay unless I want to spend lots of money. If this game were on a console it might be worth it. Although, seeing as this is an app for iPhone/android I am not trying to spend $50 for (maybe) 2 upgrades, which is what the game wants. On the upside, gameplay is very fluid and feels like a tennis match. Overall though, if you are going to advertise a free game then make it playable to people who are not trying to spend countless dollars to compete with other players. Additionally, some work is needed on the matchmaking. It is based off “said” amount of trophy’s, but that does not equalize to skill level. Many games have this problem, but for this game it is a BIG ISSUE. A player with 240 overall stats can easily be matched up against a 120 overall, solely because of trophy count. Gameplay should be matched due to skill level and not trophy’s, as they do not account for a “fair” match. This said, tennis clash has potential to be the number one game on the App Store, IF they attend to these issues that I have seen present in many other reviews.

Used to love the app, until a flaw upgrade happens
I used to love this app. Being a tennis player, i was amazed at how real this app can be. Playing tennis with this app makes it feel very close to playing a real match. I loved it very much , and used to play it everyday. Also spending a lot of money. gem and coins to upgrade the level of the player. I got to a level, which said total power = 80, forehand = 13, and backhand =25. I noticed how unbalanced this player skill is between the forehand and backhand. So i spent 7700 coins to uggrade the forehand skill. It said it increased by 2 before the upgrade. After the upgrade, it did move the forehand to 15, however it reaets the backhand to 13 . I felt being ripped off. Upgrade is supposed to improve the skill, not downgrade some other skills. Now after the upgrade, it said the player total power is 76 (notice that it was less than 80 as before) Now when i play, the backhand is really weak, to the point that it is no longer fun to play, where all of your opponents just blast the balls zipping through you

Meh
First of all, the first few hours of my first time playing, i was hyped. However, I found many flaws. First one being the scaling and the ranking. On the tours, I kept getting people 2x and even 3x my overall skill level. There also needs to be an update on the controls where there’s a control stick or something because every time I tried to scramble a ball and dive for one, I could not move at all. Only until after the point, I was running to the shot that the opponent hit on my side. I don’t if you will implement this but please consider it: I hate having to wait for the opponent to hit the shot. The only thing that comes to mind is the ‘online’ thing of reading my shot and tell it to my opponent. In other words, to stay true to reality, shots against an opponent should be smooth until after the point. Please add a menu that allows a person to freely choose what kind of phrases a player would say and be able to create and interchange them. Overall, I gave it a three because of one more thing, getting bags on our 4 slots in our main menu. Instead of unlocking just one bag, you should have it where 4 bags are simultaneously unlocking. I feel like if that is implemented, I could spend more time playing the game without having to wait as much.

Vicious money grab cycle
UPDATE: Gave it several more months of play. Still can’t get past the same level. How do you lose 8 games in a row against inferior rated players? You can tell at the beginning of a game if it is “determined “ that you have a chance of winning. All of a sudden your character can’t move like he has on concrete boots, can’t hit a hard shot no matter how hard you swipe, and can’t keep a shot inbounds. I’m finally deleting!!!!!!! I have played this game daily for several weeks now. It can be fun, but it has made me mad enough to want to throw my phone against the wall. Without spending money, it is impossible to get ahead. When you play the lower level tours that pay no money you win. When you equip your good strings, you lose..... I’m talking like lose 9 out of 10 games. Did I just forget how to play during those games? How does my opponent hit miraculous shots time and time again throughout the game but I all of a sudden can’t hit a decent shot if my life depended on it. Game is rigged as a serious cash grab. You can’t get ahead without spending cash. You are constantly out of decent strings so you can’t play a tournament that pays anything. When you have strings, you can’t win with any consistency. You win nylon strings (they are worthless) constantly in bags. Why??? Where is the reward in that? I’m deleting if something doesn’t change.

Developers got greedy but has amazing potential!
The graphics are great, the game as a whole has amazing potential but I find that it’s nearly impossible to win enough times to upgrade my players attributes to compete on a level where I’ll actually win. It’s nearly impossible not to spend $ to get your player to be a little better. The matching is terrible It’s a cycle of ALWAYS being matched with someone who can hit the ball at “critical” speed every time etc so it’s just not possible to win, in turn have to buy gems which cost money to even compete at tour 4 or higher just to spend the $ to get matched again w someone 10x stronger again. The only other choice is to play with the attributes I have had to spend money on in a tour where those attributes are being capped! Ugh, very frustrating. All in all you honestly have to spend a lot of $ to be successful in this game... I want to love playing it like I did a few months ago but it’s just very frustrating! A few months ago this game was amazing, didn’t have ANY of these issues! Don’t know what’s changed but it definitely has :( PLEASE fix this & make it how it was The developers got too greedy, never used to have to spend a fortune!

Player Development
I love the game although there can always be improvement. Someone complained about to many bags to manage. I think 4 bags are almost perfect because if I’m busy or about to go to bed I can choose a grand bag if I have one available which takes longer to open. A negative is player development. It takes forever and lots of coins to improve your attributes without spending a lot of real coins. I don’t mind mismatch’s so much because that makes it more realistic. There are mismatch’s in the real games all of the time. Only problem is that you don’t have much time to adjust your strategy, you blink and the game is over. The biggest problem that I have is the service speed of some players is NOT realistic. I realize that an ace is about speed and placement. With this game you can be in the perfect place and before you can react the serve is pass you. I would like to see a cap at about 60 or 65. I would like each match be rated by attributes, if one player is rated a 5-3 underdog and say the entry fee is 5,000 coins and the underdog wins he should win 5,000 + 2,000, 1000 for each rating point he gives up. Just a thought! Thanks! WesDog777

Becomes pay-to-play
The game is fun for a while, but at a point it essentially becomes pay-to-play. The upgrades eventually cost thousands of coins, but it’s near impossible to consistently earn coins as the game relies so heavily on upgrades. You sometimes face easier opponents but usually face someone with higher stats than you. When you’re playing an opponent with even slightly higher ratings, the game will do things like slow your player down, or allow them several seconds to react to a shot, which makes winning impossible even with better play. Therefore, you may save some coins up, but you'll once again lose them when you face 3 higher rated players back to back. I’m at a point where every upgrade costs me like 6000 coins, and it feels like I am stuck unless I pay real money for upgrades and bags. I understand that’s the goal, to get people to pay for upgrades, but it feels like even if I bought a $5 bag, it may help me jump 1 more level, yet I would again end up stuck facing and losing to players that likely paid even more money. Please make upgrades a thing to work for, but not the only thing that matters in the game. It shouldn’t make beating a better player near impossible. Makes the game so frustrating.

Nice game but!
Don’t make a mistake of playing Tour 1 (New York) for fun, because as it happens many strong players do that too and because the cards cap at lvl5 your stats could fall drastically. I made that mistake and got stuck in Tour 1 for 3 days, because when your trophies fall below the threshold for the next tour you’re stuck in Tour 1 nevermind that you have higher tours unlocked. And because as I said a lot of strong players play the cheap Tour 1 for fun, you could get stuck there too, not being able to reach the required number of trophies to get to higher Tours. Now that I’ve finally somehow got out of there I’m not going back. They should make it so that if you have higher tours unlocked you can’t lose trophies in lower tours, so you can’t get stuck in Tour 1 when you’re playing Tours 3-4. Very frustrating! Plus I wanted to buy a Blue Badge for $0,99, have $1 on my App Store credit, the game wouldn’t charge the amount on the existing credit but instead insisted on adding a credit card as a method of payment. I always used gift cards for my In-App Purchases, never linked the CC, but it appears that this game ignores your existing App Store credit and wants to charge your CC for whatever reason.

Broken system.
Fun game ruined by its own mechanics. In the beginning it matches you appropriately and is decently fun. It is pvp only and has a level system for skill points and it starts matching you with people that have quadruple your skill points. You have to get gold to level up your skills. You only get gold by winning more than 50% of your matches. 75% of the time it matches you with people that don’t play as well as you but have ridiculously high skill points so you have to play perfectly to have even a 10% chance to win. Therefore you can’t get money, (a loss loses money) so you can’t get skill increases... so you are stuck in an endless loop of zero progression and only a quarter of the games are actually fun, where you are pitted against someone of similar level. The reason for this is the money is double or nothing games but the trophies for ranking are you get more for winning and lose less for losing a game. So your rank quickly outpaces you money to the point that you can’t win enough money to upgrade any of your skills. You can’t even puporsefully delevel because you lose money faster than rank trophies. It was probably done on purpose to frustrate users into using real cash for upgrades. Such a frustrating disappointment because when you are lucky enough to be matched with someone of you own level the game is really very fun.

Good but…..
Ok so I play this game pretty much every day. It’s fun and a good time waster (for me at least) and I haven’t really found a sports game that I have enjoyed as much as this one. But I have some problems with some of its features. First off is the gems. I hate it how that the people who just waste their money on gems do much better than people who don’t want to spend money on a game. Oh hello there player. Guess what? A new season just arrived! And in order for you to get items that will actually help you advance in the game instead of just getting the same things over and over again which don’t even help you after a little while than you’ll have to spend some money. Another problem is the stamina. Ok so it isn’t all to bad like I get that when they’re out of stamina they move slower or can’t make crazy jumps, but I expect my character to at least be able to jog across the court to get to the ball, not run like a grandpa who’s been covered in molasses. You seriously need to improve the speed of how they run because I don’t think a tennis player would get very far if they tried to walk over to where the ball is.

Fun game, still needs work
It’s clear that anyone willing to spend real world money can buy their way through the game and become unstoppable while those who want to play for free improve at a snails pace. And the fact that you need strings in order to play, and you can run out of strings? That’s counterintuitive to user retention on the app. If you want me to keep playing forever, give me unlimited strings. Also if I want to play back to back games, eventually you won’t have room for anymore bags and have to wait hours to open them, so you get less out of a win when your bag slots are full. Again, it’s clear the user is being pushed to spend real money for the most enjoyable experience. They want you to spend your money over and over to get more gems to speedily open bags to maintain the flow of the game. Finally, as others have said, matchmaking could be improved, I get placed in some mismatches and you can tell your opponent either paid their way through or is levels ahead of you and you have no shot, it should be more fair matchmaking. All of that being said, playing the matches is still enjoyable and I will love this app if they begin to make these improvements

This is the absolute worst game ever created
This is absolutely a pay-to-win type of game. I’ve put in a lot of play time to try and develop my characters without paying for anything and have gotten my score up to 250 but as soon as I hit that I come across so many bugs and impossibly good opponents who have so many things going in their favor. A couple examples are that every time I hit a forehand/back hand shot the game somehow pauses so there character can get there, yet when they hit the same shot my character doesn’t even have the option to react to their shots and they hit winners every single time. When the ball comes toward me I tap the screen to move my player but my player doesn’t react at all. And when they hit volley shots it seems as though they are so perfectly placed every time, they just dip right over the net and I have absolutely no chance to return them even when I’m up playing at the net, too. And the states are all wrong, sometimes I get opponents who have a level 3 volley or forehand/backhand yet I have a 20 in those same categories yet they can hit and place shots that I can’t even try to hit. I’m sure the developers don’t care about any of its players as this game has been downloaded by so many that they’re now too rich to care, but this user interface is some of the worst I’ve ever seen in a sports mobile game.

The game tins
The game must be developed in terms of form as well as development in terms of performance, and also needs to develop the player's movement as well as the movement of the ball to align and coexist with reality. Where it is fallen or dead and this also I did not see it with a game of tennis ball, where the fallen or dead ball is during play and in a way of playing and a certain blow only I have never seen by sending, and I have a suggestion of diversification in the forms of players, their color, their length, weight, hair and the ability to change the shape at any time Because that is fun in a way that satisfies all tastes, as well as there is no diversification in the forms of the racket the ball in terms of colors and shape, and I have a note in the game where there is no fallen ball where I do not find this strike strongly activated. I have a note about a slow, slow tennis ball. This slow blow must be set in a certain way and position. Notice, this slow slow blow is easy to play by playing with my opponents. Thank you for your cooperation and hearing our opinion 🌹

A Lot to Love and Hate
A great part of me wanted to love this game—I’m a huge tennis fan and with the quarantine in place, Tennis Clash felt like a fun, virtual alternative. At first, the game is an absolute blast. The swiping mechanics are simple to learn, leveling up stats becomes strategic and entertaining, and leveling up through the tours is very addicting. After a certain point, however, the flaws begin to show. Matchmaking becomes INCREDIBLY unbalanced—9 times out of 10 you’ll be paired with someone who is well above your skill level and sends serves sailing past you without a chance to return. After Tour 3 or 4, leveling up items becomes nearly impossible unless you’re willing to wait days/weeks on bags, or spend upwards to $100 for coins, gems and king-sized bags. If you do decide to buy power-ups (which I did a couple times to simply keep the game playable), make sure you connect your account to Facebook—otherwise, once you delete the app, ALL OF YOUR PROGRESS DISAPPEARS (purchases as well). Customer support is rather unreliable at that point, which is unfortunate. In the end, this game appears to be very promising, but falls short in ways that are both frustrating and disappointing. I loved the game for a couple weeks, but ended up uninstalling and taking the loss.

Time gating and other problems
The progression and time gating on this game make it borderline unplayable because after several matches you get stuck waiting for upgrade bags to open because those bags are your progression. I had read other people talking about bags and progression being bad, but wow is it no joke and I have a very high tolerance for mobile shenanigans. While I was hoping I could skill my way to winning the racked strings and character gear stamina system pretty much makes this pay to not lose. Also both playing matches and upgrading your gear takes tons of coins so good luck ever making progress there either. This game might be free but it’s free if you just want to get your buttkicked by whales till your bag is full and then wait a day for upgrades you won’t even have the gold to really use if you also want the gold to enter your aforementioned buttkickings. This game is the embodiment of “why are you hitting yourself” 1 step forward 2 steps backwards while it tries to get your lunch money off of you to solve the problems the game design has deliberately made to cripple you into spending. It’s a shame because the actual tennis part is real fun and when stats are close to matched it does becomes more skill based so it can be really exciting.

Literally don’t touch if you actually play tennis.
If you actually play tennis like I do then you really need to stay away from this game. I’m not being biased because it’s a video game because I absolutely love Mario Tennis or really any other game that doesn’t have you swiping to hit the ball. Two stars might be a little bit hard on them because it’s a mobile game, this is the best controls possible. However, I went into this game thinking that everything else would be good... it wasn’t. There’s really no strategy to these points, just go to the net and never get passed because it’s impossible if you volley correctly. Luckily I found a way to lob after losing plenty of times to people doing this one strategy. And yes I know, I know, don’t change what isn’t broken. But when it’s the main point of the game to see who gets to the net faster then it starts to get boring. Anyway, if you simply like tennis video games, check this game out. It isn’t so bad when you really think about how this is the best controls they could do for mobile. It’s just sad that I can’t enjoy it... oh well, back to Mario Tennis Aces. And of course as I’m complaining about mindless strategies, I only play simple mode for Mario Aces. None of that hold R stuff. Which could be why I don’t like this game that much... because it’s more like a game?

Fun but FLAWED
Probably one of the best tennis games on the App Store. Highly engaging, fun, and realistic graphics. Too many upgrades/ points and prize avenues- makes it impossible to keep up and level up. Also, like many games, you plateau. For me, around the “Junior” and a “Junior II” level- or 150 trophies in and it becomes basically impossible to win. I even purchased paid upgrades, but then you’re elevated into a class of players that win every time- draining your wins and lowering your status back down to the little tournaments. Seems like a money game by the developers to keep you playing. Simply put, they pair you with players that are hitting ground strokes are serves that are absolutely impossible to return. Makes the game no fun. Would rate much higher if a player could actually progress through the ranks instead of getting stalled out- I for one am not purchasing spendy packages to remain competitive, I’ll just quite playing. Needs improvement. I would also suggest slightly longer games than just a altered game of 5-7 points by the way- hard to figure out your opponent and really craft an approach in such a short match.

Fun but massively flawed
I’ll start by giving this game a lot of praise because it is fun and addictive. But then it goes down hill pretty quickly: 1. The amount of bugs and lags in each update is staggering. The game is CONSTANTLY freezing. This happens a lot when the opponent serves, the ball freezes mid-air and then by the time it unfreezes you get aced. They’ll claim it’s a wifi and connectivity issue but that’s BS as it doesn’t happen on my other games. I’ve now lost about a dozen matches due to this issue and it’s beyond frustrating. 2. This game is great for the first week, but once you move into the upper levels, if you’re not paying for offers and bags where your player needs specialty cards to advance their skills, you will not keep up with the competition and will lose. It’s literally impossible. You’re in the beginner rounds and your opponent has 10x the advantage on you in every category because they clearly paid. 3. The customer service is horrendous. I’ve tried submitting numerous notes about the lag/freezing and it goes nowhere. They will prompt you with different options to choose from, none of which relate to the issue you’re trying to describe and then give you some bs “solution” to check your connection or restart the app. Save your sanity and play something else.

Sometimes fun but mostly frustrating
This game can be fun but the problem is the better your player gets the more the game gives you bad matchups many against bots that are not real players. You are often also matched up against players that are equal to you but they can make amazing plays on the ball that your player cannot possibly make and even if you have the same racket that the other player has. Of course, the purpose of this, like other sports games out there, is to make you spend more money. The introduction of the energy drink option in a recent upgrade is ridiculous and really nonsensical and it only makes me want to play the game less. I’ll still play occasionally but not like I was at the beginning because again, there’s a fix to the game and the only way out of it is a spend a ton of money. I actually did spend some money and although my player got better so did all the other competition I had to play to the point that it’s very difficult to win any matches now. The other players in my club are saying the same thing. overall, a mediocre game that wears then pretty quickly.

You’ll waste real money!
Love tennis thought this would be fun until it turned into a money trap. Of course you win a tons of games in the beginning. I built up a nice some of coins to play the higher levels. Then my player started to not move properly on the court. I contacted support which ADMITTED to me there was a glitch in the game. I went for over 300,000+ coins.. to now I am at 7000. And cannot upgrade anything. Now only player beginner levels again. Different support tried to deny the glitch and told me they will not replenish any coins I lost during play. Which cost me real dollars. The pairing of your opponent is way out of proportion. I contacted support again about the match ups. They told me play the lower levels and the the system tried to match you up with whoever is on line and close to as many trophies as you have. I have lost the last 32 games straight.. As my opponents stats are waaaaaaay above mine and the match ups are no where near fair. Stay away from this game and save you REAL money. Addition... they have updated the game, they say to equil the playing field.. well now no matter if you spend money to get your character more powerful to get your self a better player and advantage.. the app will cap your player so you will lose all your power ups for your characters..

Great graphics but performance levels are off
Been playing this game for a few weeks now. While the graphics are great and I really like the concept, the formulas and logarithms used to make the opponents are off. The first few weeks are easy and the opponents are very slow and easy to beat. But after 3 weeks, now many of the system generated opponents I play have lower speed lower agility and lower stamina levels but yet they get to almost everything and they blast the ball consistently, even with their stamina blinking red for several shots. And it often sends my power shots deep and out with barely any upward swipe length. I’ve even tried the upgrades and bought the upgrades and gems and stuff against my better judgement. That might have been my mistake. I experimented with stroke swipe length in different games and I’ve discovered sometimes your ball is going out no matter how short your swipe is. I do love a challenge, but it’s too frustrating particularly when your opponent’s forehands and backhands are both rated lower than yours, but yet there is noticeably a lot more speed and pace to all of their shots. Therefore, I may play periodically but it’s not calibrated right so they will not get another cent from me.

Latest update 1.28.0 has made this game a joke!
The latest update has made this already game, “love it or hate it game” more of a hate it game. The update has made this game about powerful strokes. The ball is now hit by you with no ability to return. The speed of the hit balls on ground stroke is just not realistic at all. In one game I was able to hit 4 hard hit strokes and hit each sideline and back baseline with precision. How many times do you see that happen in a tennis match? The update mentions “ ball trajectories are now more realistic” this is not true. They removed the ability to have a long rally. It’s just who has the highest ability to hit the ball harder. They removed the ability to hit a surprise drop shot. Balls flying high in the sky with high ball bounce on almost every drop shot which is not realistic. Also they have still not updated the issue of using gems to purchase bags and you only continue to get cards on items your maxed out on. A complete total scam and rip off about this game. But I must say even with the scam card issue. I still enjoyed playing the game because of its competition and competitiveness. But with this new update and just how awful it is. Playing for me has become a real bore. Save yourself time, aggravation and above all money. Don’t get this app.

CAUTION ON REINSTALLING APP
The game wasn’t working properly. It wouldn't connect to other players when I went into Tours to play. So I decided to fresh reinstall it thinking it would fix it. I had made a couple of in-game purchases before and around thanksgiving, maybe 50 bucks in total since my gf played and I wanted to catch up to her character. Upgraded a ton of my cards to level 7, my character was level 5. Won like 200 matches, the game was fun when it worked! But when I reinstalled it everything was gone. I have tried to contact support as soon as it happened and they gave me automated replies that I wouldn’t be able to get my character back and that they’re working on it and that it might even take a couple of weeks! I didn’t have it linked to Facebook since I don’t sign in to things with Facebook. I would assume that if you made in-app purchases they would have your device or Apple ID linked to the game. Please fix it and give me my character back and i will change my ratings back to 5 stars. TLDR: reinstalled game because I couldn’t connect to players to play the game, opened it and everything’s gone! No word yet from customer support about restoring my progress or restoring my in app purchases.

Scam
You’ll play great for a while, then after you have about 12,000 coins and don’t use them, you will find yourself facing players 1.5 times your level with the same number of trophies. On the last 6 occasions I faced players with a forehand ranked lower than mine yet my play let always had a reactive shot for no reason. It’s clearly set up to keep spending money. The unlockables are so few and far between to upgrade your character that by the time you spend upgrading the equipment you have, you’ll suddenly find a new piece that will have slightly lower or the same attributes you just spent hours upgrading, that you’ll be forced to switch to that one so that you can upgrade that new piece further. It’s unbelievably unfair. The only skills required is to put your credit card number down. I twice had a video to double the coins I had won, yet after the video did not receive the coins. I wrote to customer support, no answer. Frankly I could care less because I didn’t buy anything but I feel bad for those who lost money spending just to find themselves in the same position as I mentioned above. No matter what level you are you will eventually hit this cycle unless you spend more money.

Just another game with fake 5 star reviews trying to sucker you into spending money
I enjoyed this game to start, but it’s quite clear that this game is entirely rigged for people who spend $$$. I have opened dozens of bags with the same racquet, 2 string options, and 1-2 of each other item category maximum, yet somehow opponents always have ridiculously high stats. Matches follow nearly the same script, you will get up by 1-2 points and suddenly your opponent is perfect with critical shots very common and pinpoint accuracy to pair with insane power that renders you left hitting shots that could land anywhere on the court, out, or not even cross the net. You can never run as fast across the baseline as your opponents, even if your agility is twice as high. If you’re in an expensive match the disparity is even more laughable. Somehow your opponent will be nearly empty on stamina but still be ripping powerful shots corner to corner while your character with half stamina left can barely get there and can only weakly pop shots back up to them. I get it, apps aren’t really ever free. Put a few ads in and stop making it impossible to advance past low-mid level without spending $$$

Bring Back Rematch!
i stumbled across this game some time in late 2019 and i can honestly say i’ve never thought about deleting it from my phone lol. definitely one of the best mobile tennis games for us tennis lovers. it has great features, a ton of characters to choose from and they’re always updating the app to make it easier for us to play. the only downside is if you’re ever in an area with poor cell reception, your game is definitely going to lag. one of the features that aren’t so great and could use some adjusting is the bag times and item cards, 12hours for one bag is a little excessive, especially when sometimes the 12hour bags give you subpar item cards and it takes up so much time that when you’re playing and winning matches you can’t even gain rewards for them. however i was really surprised when they added the “friends” feature so you’re able to play friendly matches against people you request.. i’m just wondering when they are going to bring back the Rematch feature, i think everybody loves a chance at revenge when you play a great match haha.

Good, but gets stressful.
I don’t normally write reviews, but this game has really become a pain. It gets really frustrating how I’ve started being matched with players that I simply cannot contest with. The game is pretty good. It’s fun starting out, but then when you get to some of the higher levels or even lower, you could be matched with someone who pays to win or simply has much higher stats than you. Normally if I felt like it I would play like one match, but oddly enough, after that one match, the next matches are normally bad matchmaking. When you literally can’t make it to the other side of the court because the other player was able to shoot the ball across in just a couple seconds, it doesn’t matter if you’re moving as soon as you hit the ball. The game has a lot of potential, but it appears to be a ‘pay to win’ game. There are also weird glitches that come out of nowhere. That and the fact that I don’t want to spend much money on this game just mean that I should delete it because I normally can’t compete, and that is exactly what I’m going to do after writing this review. It is a well done game, but it has bad matchmaking, glitches, and is pay-to-win, so it isn’t worth it.
