Not bad of an app when trying to do things that are necessary. However, like the title mentioned, it doesn’t have a smooth UI. Seems like some features may be missing and/or traversal to other functions are not as smooth and seamless.
Though it took me a little while to get totally comfortable with the use of the app (perhaps about 30 minutes to an hour spread over several days), everything is in a logical and easily accessible place, and the screen is laid out in such a manner that it presents one with all the regularly necessary information while neither causing visual discomfort nor cluttering. I changed to TCB after some new banking practices out there began to de-personalize my banking experience at my old bank and worse yet, at times cut me off from my accounts and my money. I have had no such problems with Texas Capital Bank or the app. I get personalized services, can talk to and even meet with human beings who know who I am, and the app works seamlessly. Great experience.
Came upon TCB when looking for a high yield savings account and a bank that was local and not a big box that you couldn’t get help or questions answered when you needed. This bank checked both boxes and has been great to work with! Highly recommend!
Best customer service of anyone I’ve banked with. Transferred all my assets here from Chase because I was fed up with the ultra long hold periods to resolve simple issues. Texas Capital is also the parent of the 100% digital Bask Bank with a savings account awarding American Airline miles as interest.
So far, its been a great bank. Very friendly staff, that explained everything concerning our accounts to us. We received a phone call for a bank representative that spoke with about things there bank do and don’t do (not many things).
Best feature is the ability to print customized deposit slips, with account number, name and address already filled in. I also use other big banks, and none do this. This is a great idea, and a very good bank. I will be opening new accounts soon.
Great app to navigate and login to. User interface is wonderful. Saved credentials on the desktop seems a little off at times and feels like you need 3 attempts before it considers the attempt successful, but can still login
Every warning message appears on every screen at the top every time you change screens. It would be nice to have a checkbox : Do not show this message again.
Every time you log in you get a pop up asking you to agree to some nonsense. If you say no it will ask you every time you log in. For eternity. No matter how many times you decline. And the bank must have heard I love pop ups because this survey was the second thing that popped up. If you want a financial institution that loves playing games, this is a good one.
I like how it displays overall customer dashboard when you first log on. Then you can drill down into specific accounts if you’re a multiple account holder.
I really like this app, clean and sleek. I only wish that it have buckets; I.e. [you can place money in different buckets to save for different purposes] I know that’s dealing with the bank and not the apps. Other than that I like the app!
Couldn’t use the app to do a deposit. I reached out to the bank and was told they couldn’t do anything and that I would have to come into a branch. There are no branches anywhere near me. I deposited it into another account I have. There is obviously something wrong with their mobile deposit and they need to fix it!
I created along with my high yield saving accounts a money market account. I got the card of this money market account and a check book , now the account is not showing into my app after earlier it was showing to me. This is really a poor service standard.
I like TCB app. It’s simple to navigate and I am not (!) a computer whiz. I will add that I also like TCB interest rates. I expect to be a TCB customer for a long, long time.
Can’t access Zelle. Can’t deposit checks via the app if you have a business account. Always logs you out and you have to authorize it every time you log in either via text or phone call. Crashes constantly. Not user friendly.
When this app works, it’s great, but I constantly have to delete it and reinstall because it won’t open. This is the only app I personally have this kind of problem with.
Does not function well, I’m required to use it for work but every time I log in it fails and I have to call treasury customer service. Would not recommend this app for anyone.
