The Birdcage

The illustration in this game is lovely and the background music is very soothing, so overall it was a really enjoyable game. I meant to only give it 4 stars, though, because the storyline is a little week and then just drops out altogether on the dove level, and the puzzles need to be more challenging. Normally, I would expect the puzzles to grow more difficult with each level or at least with each pack, but in this game the difference between packs is just that the puzzle theme changes, although somewhat inconsistently. My suggestion for future update packs would be to increase the difficulty and variety of the puzzle types. Add elements like you would find in The Room and The House of Da Vinci. one thing I would love to see are more puzzles that are auditory or musically based. There doesn’t seem to be much out there in that genre, and it would definitely add a unique dimension. Since this is a game focusing on birds, maybe do something like locks opening through matching or replicating birdsong, for example. I will look forward to future updates!

I think this is a good puzzle game for those who are new in the puzzle genre. I went through the puzzles relatively quickly and the in-app purchases are cheap compared to some escape room/puzzle games similar to this. It kept my mind occupied and I found many of the levels replay-able. It’s not bad but an expansion would certainly be appreciated. Also I did run into a bug on one of the levels where the item display stopped working and I had to exit out of the app. Prolonged gameplay is likely to make the game bug up in small ways like this but nothing that an exit-and-swipe-away before coming back to the app can’t fix. Overall, I would recommend to busy people newer to puzzles who want a relatively easy escape-room-esque kind of game to play (and by easy, I mean that the clues in the puzzles are relatively easy to pick up on). I enjoyed it as a puzzle enthusiast, however, like I mentioned, I went through each level relatively quickly, quicker when replaying to get all the gems for unlocking the epilogue; you’ll have a harder time finding all the gems than beating each level. Those who desire head-scratching mega-puzzles may not find this difficult at all, especially since many of the puzzles have a theme and/or repeats types of puzzles.

Great graphics with easy maneuverability! Some say it's too easy but I don't think so. If you're just getting into AR and you haven't been a fan of room games before, I think this is the perfect game to introduce you to a new gaming experience. I have the Room Series and some of the levels weren't all that intuitive, nor that way that you didn't have to rack your brain a bit. I have to do that enough so when I sit down to relax I don't want something that's going to do anything but help me relax. Ok challenging but not so much that it loses the fun. When something is too hard and you keep getting stuck on levels and having to do them over again & again, then maybe have to go to a walk through to get thru that level...what fun is that? Certainly doesn't do anything to build you up after a hard days night ya kno? Summary; I think it's great the way it is, hard enough that it's not 1-2-3 but easy enough to accomplish. Then the only thing missing is >>>>>>>>>>>MORE LEVELS<<<<<<<<<<<<<< PLEASE

I absolutely love this game and I’m happy that they made a two and I think they should make more I like that you can still play a decent amount of levels without paying (tho I did buy the rest of the levels and I recommend it) I’m normally not into puzzle games but I really like this one and I think having an AR mode was an awesome idea and and there’s barely (if not none) any adds and I like that you can get a hint but I think the levels should get a little harder later on but not to much harder well not until the way later like atleast and it would be nice if you could leave a level without it resetting but that’s about it I think the game is (mostly) AMAZING!!! Ok bye ^^

This is a nicely illustrated, animated and designed game that I would recommend to all beginners of the escape game genre. It teaches you some common mechanics and puzzles used in other such games. Although there is a bit of progression in difficulty, the puzzles are not difficult compared to what you will find in more advanced games, so it’s a fun and relaxing experience. Only the first two levels are free, and additional ones are a dollar or more each (one reason I dropped it down one star). But I see there are at least three separate Birdcage games available, so you can get a good number of free puzzles to work on, though the difficulty level does seem to plateau pretty early. You can also set the game to Augmented Reality (AR) mode, but the normal setting is perfectly fine. The only criticisms I have are that the backstory and what seems to be a side story are irrelevant to playing, and the drawings in the side story envelopes are quite awful (strange given how nicely the game itself is rendered).

Paid the “no ad” upgrade and then the levels dropped off after the dove level, Was disappointed in that. Felt like for $5.00 upgrade the levels should continued further. Such as ongoing past the ones shown. I liked the design and loved the puzzle aspect of the game. But I agree with other reviewers that think as the levels went on the puzzles should’ve gotten more difficult as well but not just end and then start another “The Birdcage 2” that’s going to do the same thing. Not paying for the levels past the crow level(Free) in Birdcage 2 because for $6.00 to have it end after the 4th bird level is not worth the money. If it was ongoing and didn’t also involve spiritism then I might consider it but Birdcage 2 went to a dark side and am not impressed. Loved, Loved, Loved The Birdcage and would play it if more levels were added to it, but will not move ahead with The Birdcage 2 past the free levels. Don’t like the direction the story went or the fact that it’s more $$ to come to and end as well! Do better developers! 😔😔

This game is stunning visually and has some interesting story bits. Unfortunately all of the puzzles were meant for a 6-8 year old child level. AR is kinda cool but annoying since you have to keep moving the camera. Not a bad game to occupy young kids but as an adult or smart child you’ll get 0 satisfaction or sense of achievement from this. I kept playing in hopes of the puzzles ramping up in difficulty but they never did. Even the gems are basically found in the same few spots every stage. Some puzzle designs utilized some refreshing mechanics, but was completely underwhelmed by how straightforward and easy they were. They literally plaster all the answers right in front of your face. They also reuse the same type of puzzle mechanic over and over again. So if you want something pretty that can waste about 10 seconds of your life per stage this good. But if you’re looking for a challenging puzzle look elsewhere.

This developer has to be one of my favorites in the escape game genre. I was pumped to see a new game out! Although this game is completely different from the "can you escape" series, it did not disappoint. It is pretty easy compared to the other games, but still very entertaining. The puzzles have a similar feel to the Faraway series, so if you like those games you should definitely check this out. Hell, even if you don't, I'd recommend giving this game a go. I finished it pretty quick, beating the whole game in an hour or hour and a half. For as inexpensive as it is, it's completely worth it. Thanks for another great game, I look forward to what you come up with next!

The graphics of the game itself is quite beautiful and the AR works quite well once you set it up by placing the birdcage where you want and at the height you want. However this is a puzzle game and I feel like the puzzles where seriously lacking. Some puzzles where so ridiculously simple that they could be solved in under 4 moves. I prefer when puzzles are challenging enough that you actually have to think about the answer rather than being able to solve it after a glance. If you are looking for something that won’t challenge you then this is a very good choice, if however you are looking for something more difficult and substantial then you should get The Room. They both use similar concepts but the difficulty is vastly different. I hope this helps.

This is an app I downloaded for my kiddos-and found myself playing as well. The puzzles are relatively easy for someone used to playing this type of escape game genre-but are fun for the whole family-from my 4 yr old up to an adult. My 10 and 14 year olds LOVE to play everyday! I think there definitely needs to be an expansion pack-the levels went by too quickly. Maybe adding an option for difficulty-with harder levels having timed completions would be a little more challenging while still offering free play for younger or less experienced players. It would also be cool to have more if the hidden items/gems-and a way to see if they were all completed or not. Overall-GREAT app! Waiting for the new levels to be released...

Birds! Who doesn't love birds i love to save the birds! There doing little birdie things in there little birdie cages and you have to save them! Save the birds! You have to save them because bird is the word, yes bird is the word! And because these birds want to go back to there birdie homes and enjoy there birdie ways in there birdie world! Son of a bird!! The bird waits for you to help them so they can go to there birdie family because birds of a feather flock together but the bird cant do those birdie things because he is sad in his birdie cage because he cant see his birdie family so you have to save the birds!! Save the birds that’s all you have to do! Because all the birdies want to be free!

I absolutely fell in-love with this game.... it’s addicting and challenging and overall one of my favorite games. HOWEVER, the “free” levels... there just aren’t enough of them. I ended up purchasing the complete package of levels, that was SUPPOSED to be on sale for only $2.99. It ended up charging me the full $4.99 price. I want to download the 2nd package but I just don’t feel like the number of levels that there are, is worth the price. If there were way more levels, or if the packages were cheaper.... I’d give this 5 stars and would buy the 2nd package and future packages. On a side note, there are only 2 levels that couldn’t find all 3 jewels to get the epilogue level opened up and I have tried at least a dozen times to find these last two jewels. Thoroughly annoyed by that.

So I downloaded this game since right now I’ve been on a solving puzzle kick. I started with the first few and fell in love with the solving and graphics of this game. Sadly it isn’t a 100% free game, making me give it a four star review. With a game as simple as this, there should be no in app purchasing unless it’s for clues or something like that. I downloaded this game with an intend for a long game but only got 12 puzzles and no epilogue to a story. I wouldn’t put money down for the other 8 puzzles since it just doesn’t seem worth it. There are many other apps like this that are completely free. It’s just that the app creators are being stingy and are wanting money. So yes four stars for an app that feels incomplete.

This is a beautifully done game that feels complete and whole. It’s not trying to steal your cash, you can spend a little bit for extra levels and to remove ads, which is well worth it to give the developers props for this little game. It’s short, but it’s a gamers puzzle game. It has that nostalgic Myst feel, with entrancing music and good graphics and puzzles that are involved enough to be fun but intuitive enough to not cause table flippage. It’s not slapped together for a crash grab like so many others out there. Bravo guys! Plus it has a story to boot and for a game so short, the world feels whole and I want to know more.

This is really nicely done for a free game (with option to buy additional levels). It’s reminiscent of a “lighter” take on the Room series. The mechanics are similar, but the puzzles are easier and quicker. Also, you’re freeing pretty birds instead of the nameless horror that dwells in the space between space. I haven’t decided whether to buy the extra levels yet; my hesitation comes from the fact the levels haven’t gotten much harder than the demo. The story, such as it is, gets told through line drawings that look (yikes) amateurish compared to rest of the graphics. A little effort there would help a lot.

This game is wonderful. Beautiful graphics and deeply engaging puzzles to open cages and free birds. The puzzles are exceedingly well designed. I was able to figure out a direction, and still had to work to get there. My only disappointment is with length of the game. I finished in a single day. I would have liked for the game to last much longer. Also the backstory is not particularly well developed. It consists entirely of 20 drawings and a caption for each drawing. With a longer game that could have been more fleshed out. I would have liked that. With that said it is still a beautiful game and money well spent. I will be buying the sequel for sure.

Wow! This game has beautiful graphics and is very engaging!!! I was hooked after the first few minutes of gameplay! Those who have written that the game was too “easy” are wrong. Although some of the challenges are intuitive, many are VERY challenging! I found myself having to use hints, more than once, as I continued through the game! Please don’t make future additions too much harder, as I am afraid you would lose some of your audience! Many people play, not only to be somewhat challenged, but to also find a “getaway, of sorts” and I found it in this little game!

This is an amazing game in every way. The puzzles are elegant- challenging but still fun. The music is relaxing and helps you stay focused on the puzzle. It’s all beautiful to look at and the solutions are clever. They are honest about in-App purchases. I give a super strong 5 stars. I have enjoyed solving several puzzles in the few hours since I downloaded the App. I want to solve more. If you enjoy being challenged and feel rewarded by problem solving then this is for you. You have to figure out some things and also be observant about looking at details which help solve the puzzle.

First off, let me start with the fact that this game is beautiful. The puzzles are clever and I like the little gems you can find and the story pages in envelopes. It’s a really enjoyable game and the music is calming. I ended up beating the game in like a day just because I couldn’t seem to put it down. The only down side is that the puzzles are too easy. Especially for someone who plays The Room series. I also wanted to add how I love that when you complete a puzzle a beautiful detailed bird flies out and glides around the cage. Great game. Can’t wait for more levels!

I purchased the birdcage and birdcage 2 games and breezed right through them over a couple of weeks. I thought that they were fascinating and the graphics were truly a pleasure to see! I would recommend going through both games because they’re not only are these puzzle games fun to solve, but they are relaxing and instantly rewarding. You find yourself completing these puzzles with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I hope the developers make more games like these in the the future!

I disagree with the reviews that complain about it being too easy. I’m sick of games that are so difficult you need a walkthrough once you get past the first few levels. Then when you see the walkthrough, the solutions make ZERO sense. It’s as if the developers are trying to show off just how clever and smart they are, instead they come off as illogical and ridiculous. If you are looking for a game that is fun, solvable and doesn’t make you want to throw your device against a wall, this is it. Love this game and The Birdcage 2. Hope they make a Birdcage 3.

It’s so fun and there’s two birds scenes that are free I see you you put complete all those once you complete all those it’s $4.99 for all the rest if you just want to buy oneSeparate it’s only $1.99 but my mom Buys it it $4.99 and I love it it’s super funny guys should really buy it and you have a really great time for any age literally my mom she plays it and I am and I still play and I love it and there’s even a master level on it but what do you do there is another one and it’s free look into buying that it’s super super fun bye

Taking the 3D item interaction from The Room and dumbing it down significantly while also adding IAP brings you The Birdcage. It is not a bad game, but it’s not great. Some of the puzzles are laughingly easy especially given the description for the game said this game had the hardest puzzles ever! I beat the 10 free levels within half an hour. I never got stuck for more than a minute. Now, the game is free, so you really can’t complain. And $1 per 5 additional levels isn’t bad. When you compare it to the $5 for a The Room game though, there’s no comparison. I would recommend this for newcomers to the escape game genre and kids. For people more experienced, The Room is where it’s at.

A review is a must for the pleasure of enjoying the levels that are provided for free. It’s a lovely game, and escape rooms are my favorite. However, once completed, I wondered if the further levels would be more challenging. The price to get to the end was, overall — for all the levels — rather expensive. The reviews said not, and, thus, was disappointing. Had they been increasingly difficult or had the game been less expensive, I would have kept it, as it’s a truly lovely game. So enjoyable. Love the gameplay; love the music; love the tweets. But sadly, it’s not worth the cost... Had the game been for sale for $2 or $3, as are many, I would have been glad to pay, considering the excellence and the reviews. However, even having played the free games, knowing it wasn’t going to be more challenging, the listed price wasn’t worth the very little time it’d take to get thru all the games. Okay, so my main issue is that all though the game itself is free to install, you only get to play 10 levels before you have to pay $1.99 for 5 more levels, there are only 3 more “packs” that have 5 levels each. You can either pay $1.99 for 5 levels per pack, or you can pay $4.99 for all 3 packs, which gain you access to all 15 levels. The game has a total of 25 levels in all. Also, the puzzles are extremely easy and there’s really no challenge. It’s almost not even worth paying for. The only positive thing about this game are the graphics. The graphics and the design is breath taking, but the lack of challenge and levels make this game mediocre at best.

in love this game its soo fun and unlike the others!! but once you get passed the blue and gold birds you have to pay so i reccomend you are one of those ppl were you pay if you wanna get this app😋 its very calm with the music and it also has Ar where you can put the cage in your house (on your screen 😂) or even outside but seriously 😐 i recommend this to ppl who pay. but anyways this part is for the developers! So i think you should prob put some more bird packs in bc i am done and its like a waist of storage anyways its a good game thanks!

Hi I love this game so much but there is one small thing that really makes me not so happy, each level you can get up to 3 gems. And there are two free packs that have 5 levels in each one. So that means you would have 30 gems if you find all of them for each free pack but for the back story ( you get letters with pictures and a small caption) which are really interesting but they don’t make sense so could you make like one more pack so we can get the backstory. I know you did that so you could get money but really, I WANT THE BACKSTORY!!!!

Note that if you pony up the $5, you get 15 levels and an epilogue level on top of the 10 free levels. Whether it's worth it or not is up to the customer, but I'll say for me it really wasn't. The puzzles lean to the simple and the storyline, such as it is, doesn't really have much depth to it. Therefore replay potential is extremely limited. Visuals are very strong, and the sound is nice - so at the end of the day we have a rather pretty game that will be a one and done. The AR function is a little more with the gee whiz factor, but doesn't make up for the lack of immersive gameplay. Bottom line - it's a short, simple, albeit visually interesting game.

The Bird Cage is among the top puzzle games I have ever played! I love how it makes you really think to solve the puzzles and set each bird free. It’s a real challenge without being so hard you you have to be a logics expert or engineer to solve it! I plan to purchase the Bird Cage 2 next. The graphics are amazing, and you can tell that the developers put much time, care and love in making this game. Please make more games like this! One of the best parts is I can take it with me on my iPhone. Great work everyone and thank you!

Hey, I wrote a review on this game on the 8th of this month, but it’s gone! In it, I asked if you guys could possibly add a way to earn the other packs in the game and the sequel as opposed to buying them, as I don’t have money to spend right now since I start my job next week. I’ve seen a bunch of people report that their critical reviews have disappeared. Now how did that happen? O_o I love the games, though! The story is engaging! I’m just sad that they cut off so quickly when you run into the paywall, though... T_T

Basic puzzles. Some interactions do not qualify as puzzles. The game does capture the mystery ambiance with the music and all. I figured the premium levels would ramp up the difficulty. That was not the case. Premium levels were marginally more entertaining. The “story” seems superfluous and forced. Some puzzles may take you five minutes, likely not. Being very generous here, but perhaps 1.5 hours of gameplay total. Upon completion of the game you are told to stay tuned for future packs. I would gladly run through any future content, but I will not be spending any more money. Worth the free experience, but there is better bang for your buck in the App Store.

This was a sweet little game! I liked the effort the developer(s) clearly put into the graphics (I didn’t try the AR mode but I liked the normal version). The Easter eggs were cute, too. The only reason I’m giving this game 4 stars rather than 5 is because there wasn’t a detectable increase in difficulty. Perhaps you have to purchase the entire game to get to more difficult levels and if that’s the case I guess I understand that but my review just stands for the free version of the game. Overall it’s a very nice puzzle game that stole an hour or two from me the last few days. :)

I love this game. I played the free version, and the ads they had were not too intrusive and spaced evenly through the gameplay. The game is beautiful, the puzzles were fun and aesthetic as well. I don’t normally like to buy these kinds of games, but I bought this game because it was so charming. The story was not the most creative, but I didn’t care because everything else in this game more than made up for it. I was excited to see they made a sequel.

This is a really fun game and I love it!😍😍😍😍😍😍. But the only thing is that the other packs and stuff are like 2$. But this is a really fun game and I love games like this! But there is only one thing that would make me like it more. Drumroll please....... If only if it were a tad bit HARDER! The levels are pretty easy and I could do one in like less than 3 minutes. But maybe that’s because it’s that fun.... But don’t let that little fact stop you from getting it! It’s still a really fun game! And it’s a great way to kill time.👍

I enjoyed this game so much- it’s very addictive, so much so that I’ve completed all of the levels! What I love too is that even when going back and re-playing levels already completed, it still keeps my attention. The graphics are beautiful, and it keeps the mind active- making it more than a game. Please release new levels soon developers- there could never be too many. I’d recommend this game to everyone, young and old!

I love “The Room” series (which this game was clearly bit from). Albeit the smooth controls and interface are comparable, you’ll find yourself breezing quickly through this game for the lack of challenging puzzles. They become so rushed, redundant and predictable; it would be lovely had the developers dealt a heavier hand with brain twisters. The “final” Epilogue level is about as anticlimactic as it gets- the egg hatches but where’s the bird? haha This game has absolutely zero meaning and makes no sense. It’s a visually decent game with good controls but I can’t get over the overwhelming great reviews for this underwhelming snoozefest.

It was fun while it lasted. I thought this game is a really cool and I had a fun time playing. The only thing is that there are only 10 levels that are free. As a person that ain’t got no money , it is kinda disappointing that I can’t do more. But if you have a few spare dollars and a love for puzzle games, this app is for you. I am wondering if I’m the future that you, the creator(s), are going to add more free packs for us to enjoy and have fun with? I would share love to have access to more levels then the 10 that I am limited to at the moment.

Gameplay is very similar to The Room and House of da Vinci but with a brighter aesthetic: naturalistic, intuitive controls, pretty visuals, and soothing music. However, the puzzles are much easier (only the final few levels approach the challenge of those two series) and it takes a small fraction of the time. Quick and fun, absolutely ideal for younger players who want to do puzzle games but maybe found those other titles too challenging. I will play the sequel for sure.

I was intrigued by the gameplay in the free version so I purchased the full game for $4.99. The game graphics are gorgeous and flawless. Challenging levels but not too complicated. I’ve rarely had to use a hint. However after only a few days of playing in my spare time, I can see that my investment will be coming to an end sooner than expected. There needs to be far more levels and gameplay for the price. So I can say I love the game a lot, but it simply needs to be longer, bigger, and better for the cost.

This is the perfect game for those who found The Room games too frustrating and/or long. This is the perfect game for Escape the room fans who love good quality graphics and puzzles that you can solve with no hints or walkthroughs needed (although they are available). If you want a complicated and drawn out puzzle based game, play the room games. If you want something easier or more relaxing, play this game. Either way, solve, smile, and be happy.

I absolutely love this game and I rate it five stars. But, the game could use more content like more levels. I got the game 15 minutes ago and already beat it. I didn’t make any purchases on the app but that would only add ten more levels. I hope the developers make an update to this game that adds more levels and other content. Overall though, this is an amazing game and I hope it just gets better in future updates.

It’s something to occupy my time, has really nice graphics and visuals, but it’s not at all challenging. I expected it to get harder as it went on, after buying the extra packs, but it didn’t. When you click on a “puzzle”, the answer is literally given to you. For example, a common puzzle is to literally move a slider to the spot that’s marked. Another one they use a lot is rotating something so that it lines up to the spot it gives you. There’s no challenge in that, I’m literally just dragging something exactly where you’re telling me to drag it.

This game was perfect for me! It held my attention, made me want to keep working to figure out the puzzle, but wasn't so hard and time consuming that it made me tense or became frustrating! This game had me looking forward to the next level/bird cage... and comming back for more and more! Paying for the expansion packs and extras was not TOOOO expensive and def worth it! The only downside for me, is that there aren't more birdcage puzzles to solve! Please make more soon!!!

I’m amazed by all these whiners who expect developers to work for free. Don’t you realize that if we support them, they can make more cool games? This one is worth whatever they´re asking as all the reviews reveal. I played through all the levels in a couple of days and was only a tiny bit disappointed that the Epilogue egg didn’t hatch. Is that the real ending or the result of not finding one gem on levels 23 and 24?

This is a fun game and the graphics are great. As many others have said, it’s fairly easy and it’s a lighter take on the room. I do enjoy some easier puzzles every now and again so that is why I chose to download the app. You basically get the 10 levels for free then you pay to get the rest. My lower rating is because of the price. $4.99 for 15 more levels doesn’t seem like a deal to me for as easy as it is. I would paid a couple of bucks but not five. Otherwise a nice little puzzle game.

While this is not meant to be a brain-jostler like The Room series or any number of other harder-core puzzlers, it was a fun little diversion for about 30 minutes. Pretty easy, but no threat of frustration, either, which was what I was in the mood for at the time. My only complaint would be that since I only played the first 10 levels, at 3 minutes a level the remaining 15 levels would avail about 45 additional minutes, and five dollars seems like a bit much for that.

Now, I’m not so great at writing reviews, but I feel like this game truly deserves a good one! It is so simple yet challenging, and the graphics are gorgeous. I got so sucked into this masterpiece that I accidentally finished it in one day! I will eagerly be waiting for more levels to be added. In conclusion, this game is definitely worth $2.99! (I bought the full thing right after finishing the first 5 levels ☺️) I can’t wait for the next update 😁

I love it! However the levels were first 3 easy and up to 9 hard... 10 was pretty easy in my opinion. I wish that you could find out why you were freeing birds sooner, but after the 10 free levels, you can guess why.... you have to pay to get the epilogue. The graphics are stunning! I finished the game quite quickly but the graphics are what makes me redo levels! I recommend this game highly!!!

I really love this game and have enjoyed freeing the birds! The graphics are wonderful and the puzzles are so much fun to figure out! My grandchildren have also loved watching me play and I would love to let them play but can’t get it to reset so that they can play from the beginning and find all the jewels. I recently bought the Birdcage 2 and am looking forward to completing that one as well!

Excellent graphics, animations, sounds. Very high quality for even short free levels. Puzzles were simpler than what I was looking for, so perhaps for a younger audience or someone not looking to put in as much attention. I personally did not buy the additional packs but only because it was not enough content for given price for what I was looking for. Given simple nature of puzzles I’d hesitate to call them really puzzles but entertaining for time I played.
