TruWest makes me call them every time I travel to let them know where I am going —and for how long. If I don’t, they stop my credit card from working. I can’t think of a more inconvenient thing. Will have to change banks after 30 years because of this lame policy
I am not sure who designed this app but that person surely isn’t using it. Finding what you need takes some maneuvering around. Finding simple thing like an interest on your account is impossible. Adding ACH transfers not there, at least I could not find it. Various forms you supposed to complete miss download function. Submitting form on line (account closure), not working - error message. Secure messaging hard to maneuver. Try to find a response… no notification, no clear indication that someone read and replied to your message. This is by far the most convoluted and user unfriendly banking app I encounter in my life.
I get on the app ones a month atleast for bills etc, and it never fails each time I get on there is a new layout?? Why do y’all change it so often? It so annoying trying to figure out where y’all decided to move the “pay loan” option this month. If this was not the ONLY known option for my payments, because of the frequent layout changes, I would NOT use this app at all
Something changed with this app when IOS 16 came out. When I try to do a check deposit, I fill out the amount and click the photo icon. Then the screen gets blurry and the display says to please rotate the phone to take a photo. No matter what I do I can not get the app to recognize that I have rotated the phone and therefore it will not let me take a picture. Please fix this, the app is useless to me without this feature. I also know it’s an IOS issue because this feature works perfectly on my wife’s Samsung phone.
1. Periodically demands you provide your email address for “information” or refuses to let you use the app. 2. Check deposit 100% of the time claims one of the two pictures is not clear. Always false, always works without retaking it. The photo checker is just plain bad. Better than the website which can’t manage cookies properly to remember your credentials, though.
I moved across the country a few years ago and after looking at local credit unions, I decided to keep my TruWest account, in large part due to this app. It’s the most dynamic and user-friendly online banking system I’ve been able to find, and I’ve never run into a functionality problem.
TruWest has made some good changes to their app. Love the addition of Zelle. Whenever I have any questions or issues, their customer service is helpful and patient, they stick with me until I understand and the issue is fixed!
I really enjoy the convenience of banking through my phone. It is great to see the checks I deposit go into the account right away. It helps to account for my cash flow.
I have several banks and credit unions and this app really is slick! It seems like they are always adding new features that help make my life better! Thank you!
I felt safe and too easy for me to do something good by my phone to check it out also I’m amazing that I am able to transfer $ to somebody that I can do instead of mailing into their mailbox ! I , thank you , TruWest for the work .
I’ve been a TruWest member since 1985. They are a great credit union. The phone app makes it even better. I’ve used it intentionally and it works great
I have use this app for almost a year now and just recently, I was unable to deposit any checks on my phone. Everything began after I updated my phone to IOS 16. When I try to deposit my check, the camera reads, “please rotate your phone to deposit check” and is all blurry. Please fix this issue!
I just tried to use the check deposit and it will no longer work. It says rotate device to continue. Even if I rotate, shake, spin, twist my phone it still just has a black screen that says rotate device to continue. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
The mobile deposit function has been broken for awhile, with no sign from TruWest that they’re fixing it. Because TruWest is regional, this means that it’s now very difficult for people who live outside of the region to continue to bank here.
This new update gets stuck on a screen asking me to rotate my device and no longer allows me to deposit checks. This is one of the few features I use in the app and now I can’t use it? Ridiculous fix this ASAP.
Never had an issue with checks until a few months ago. The app glitches and doesn’t allow me to deposit checks. Very upsetting that this hasn’t been resolved yet.
Apparently the last update took out the transfer capability between accounts. Used to be on the bottom when in the app but has been replaced with credit card transfer.
I have an iPhone12 mini. When I first installed the Truwest app in June 2022 I was able to use it to deposit checks. Now the app won’t work with my phone camera. The image is very out of focus. My camera works fine outside of this app.
Its hard to navigate the app and i have been making payments on the app and my required payments arent adjusting down still shows i owe the full payment amount.
I’ve tried multiple times with customer service on the phone and I still can’t get app to work. I could access it via website on a tablet, but not the phone. I have an Apple 8+. Don’t waste your time.
