Great app

I’ve been using this app for a few years, it’s the best of its kind that I’ve come across. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because sometimes I’ll have trouble connecting and I’ll have to restart my fire stick and phone, and even then it sometimes won’t remedy the problem (this doesn’t happen terribly often). Also, lately when I’ve been pausing my video the screen will go black, then when I unpause it the aspect ratio is completely distorted, which is super annoying because I’ll have to restart the whole video and fast forward back to where I was. Also, if you’re watching something with subtitles and they’re not embedded in the video you won’t be able to use them. But unless you’re pausing a bunch of foreign films this shouldn’t be too much of an issue, it’s definitely worth the download. I’ve been consistently using it for like 3 or 4 years.

Works but costs

I didn’t download this app because I cut the cord or something. I downloaded it to view my movie projects on my fire stick without having to download it to my phone and lose precious phone storage. Except, this app forces you to pay for a lot of basic functions like scrubbing the video. I’ve found that this app will stop at a certain point during playback without fail, forcing you to watch the movie from the beginning which can be time consuming and extremely frustrating. If you want to be able to resume playback you’ll have to pay for the scrubbing function but I suspect as soon as you pay for that, the video won’t suddenly stop more than halfway through your video - making your purchase almost useless. I wouldn’t suggest using this app if you’re going to be watching movies because it will almost always suddenly stop working during the movie and force you to either buy the scrubbing function or start your movie over from the beginning. Unless you want to pay for those things. If you’re just trying to use it for free like me, it’s best to use it for videos 30mins or less.

Great app when it works.

This is the second version of this app I have tried. The one for the chrome cast works flawlessly and I cannot recommend highly enough. I've only had the fire TV stick and this app for a little over a month and it's spotty at best. The first issue I had with it wasn't even performance related but rather that you had to pay extra for the video progress bar. That was free with the chrome version and without it all you have is play and pause control. Now to the performance issues. It doesn't connect about 50% of the time, even after restarting the app on my phone and the fire stick or restarting the fire stick all together. I've only had this issue once or twice in over 3 years of use with the Chromecast. I don't know if this is a hardware issue in that the Chromecast is a better product with better comparability for third party app integration or what. Very disappointed with the Fire stick version.

Chicken Salad Is Better

This is trash. I’d rather pork chops. I’m a 79 year old woman and I’ve never seen anything like this. I want MeTV, you gave me TrashTV. I wanted Antenna TV, you nitwits gave me hell. I wanted Cozi TV, you gave me an extra ticket to the gutter. Last but not least, I wanted GetTV, you Chain Of Fools gave me D-I-S-R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Now, Who’s Zoomin’ Who, child? On the Freeway To Hell. You purposely described this trifling, nasty, disgusting app as a free app, and then when I stick my tonsils in it, you tell me to pay $100.9 for it! I’m not paying for this wacko, foolish buffoonery. Holy chitlins! I prefer chicken salad. That’s what my grand babies, Peppa and Raymond, love. Yestiddy, I made some chicken salad at 11:10 and it was gone before lunch. Actually, chicken salad-I mean I have to go. But I just wanted to clear that up. If you could stop charging me money and add MeTV, GetTV, Antenna TV, and Cozi TV, then I’d give ya five stars. End of discussion. Stop trying to scam and rob the elderly. Point blank, periot.

Works but Very inconsistent

I downloaded earlier in the summer. It worked immediately but almost just as immediately I would find that it’s very glitchy. It works without issue for maybe 60-70% of the time. And then it’ll go a day or two or 3 even without being able to connect no matter how many times I reset my Firestick tv or iPhone. Sometimes the glitch can last a few hours sometimes it’s a few days. That’s what I find extremely irritating. I paid for the app and as much as I love it when it’s working. 60-70% of the time is a very low bar for performance. I don’t understand why this glitch can’t be fixed. I wish they would man up and do something already...it’s last update was nearly 3 months ago. Not cool. It could be and should be so much better but alas it seems like no one cares to address the problem.

Not working now!

I’ve been using this app for a while, and once you get the hang of it (and learn a few tricks) it’s pretty fantastic... I have both a Fire Stick and Chromecast, and this allows me to stream through each with relative ease. But I took away 2 stars for this review because it’s suddenly not working! I copy and paste the url into their browser, as I’ve always done - but when I hit “go” the address bar disappears, and it just stays on the homepage. I sent an error report to customer service, and so far I’ve only gotten an auto-reply saying “we might not respond but will note your issues” or something like that. Hopefully this is resolved soon, so I don’t have to find a new app for casting. Bummer. :-(

So far, it works on the Fire Stick

I’ve downloaded and tried just about every casting app for the Fire Stick. The first question is always, “Does it work?” Most of them don’t. So this app has that going for it. The next issue is, “Will it continue to work?” Both Fire Rocket and iWebTV have stopped working for me on my iPhone 7Plus, though I can still download movies through Fire Rocket. This app is a little more confusing to use, but it works. I’ll wait to see if it stays working before I pay to upgrade it.

Was charged for premium features but never got access to them.

I downloaded this app and the features worked well, I decided to upgrade to the premium version, after making the purchase, I got my receipt from the App Store yet nothing has changed on the app, I still can’t access the premium features although I bought them, I contacted customer support and followed the instructions but still couldn’t restore my purchase. I then sent an email to the developer stating my problem but I haven’t gotten a reply. I’m giving this 2 stars, the features are great, but I didn’t get the premium features after purchasing it.

Paid Upgrade Version Still No Sound?

I bought the upgraded version with the Control Bar etc..months ago with the understanding that you the developer was going to fix the “No Sound” issue? It’s been several months and I still cannot hear any audio on any video I play which renders this app useless? I am playing back videos that require sound to understand what’s going on? Also some videos are of my children playing in concerts. So...when will this fix be in place? If I had known it would take this long I would never have spent $6.99 on the deluxe version of this app, again it’s useless!

I hate this garbage limited app.

I hate this garbage, I am used to being able to cast from my phone with a simple browser add-on, for Roku or Chromecast but for fire tv this app is bad, annoying and useless. I logged in to a site to access my membership videos but since it opened a pop up window to enter my user name and password it replaced the main window instead of opening a second tab. So once I was done with the pop up I couldn’t do anything other than go to the main page again which asked me to log in. Figure out how to make money from the app without making it so limited if it was free it would be easier to use. I hate this poorly made garbage it reflects your limited imagination and knowledge.

So far it works.

I’ve used this app occasionally for a month or so and still believe it's the best screen mirroring app available. That doesn't mean it's perfect but considering that none of the other apps I tried worked this one does work. There is room for improvement but is easy to set up, easy to use and though it has some bugs the app is very usable. I hope the developers continue to develop this app.

Premium was a waste for me

I downloaded this to cast a video from a browser to my Fire TV and it didn't work, so I downloaded premium since it seemed to promise full functionality. After messing with it for almost an hour, I still couldn't get it to work. I got a message that said "this content is not supported." So I basically spent $7 for something to tell me the content wasn't supported. Not sure if I can get my money back, but love to if possible. Giving 2 stars since I don't know how it works with videos other than those played in a browser.

Works ok for the most part

It cuts out every so often and sometimes it can’t read the video im trying to watch, so I have to reclick the video link to watch it. When it works, it’s awesome. I just wish they had a queue feature though. If they could allow you to queue videos on top of each other (say I wanted to watch something broken into different parts), instead of having to click on a different link every time the video ends, then I would rate this 5 stars.

I don't understand why this is rated so low

First off the app worked the the videos I wanted to watch so that's a big plus. I did have one video not play correctly but I found it elsewhere and that could have been a bad site. The best thing is they don't force you to download a app on the fire unlike other apps. I'll probably get the pro version that supports all three devices when I can.

When it once was decent providing ability to cast videos to fire stick upon TV it has now been “updated” where it forces you to accept watching an ad before able to cast any video to the TV. What’s worse is that these videos do NOT load properly and often glitch out somehow thereby making any casting of any video essentially impossible without paying for it. So maybe if you pay for premium it might be worth it. However the free version is basically nothing but false advertising(free version doesn’t work thereby compelling you to have to pay for premium).

“Content Not Supported”

I keep getting an error message on my tv when I try to stream my regular links. It just started being temperamental in the last couple weeks. The message says “content not supported.” If I keep retrying over and over again for a minute or 2, it works, sometimes. Can you look into a fix for this? Thanks

Doesn’t work...can’t do anything without upgrading

I downloaded this to watch an online concert on my TV. After opening the app on my phone, I got a full screen pop-up ad about upgrading, but with no way to get out of it to use the app. I would’ve paid for the app. Just post it as a paid app instead of calling it free and then making it useless without upgrading. I’m so aggravated that now I won’t use it on principle—free or not. We’re hooking up a computer to the TV instead. This is not how you treat users and expect to convert them into paying customers.

Works great

I love that i dont have to use an apple product to watch movies online. Only problem is sometimes it doesnt connect to fire stick but they let you know to unplug fire stick, tv, and wifi. It works right after everything reconnects to wifi. It might be my fire stick that causes the problem bc its kinda old.

Stopped connecting!

I used this app for awhile and everything was perfect, so I decided to go premium and pay for the new extra features since I got so much use out of the app. Almost immediately it stopped connecting to my FireTV Cube! I can reset my WiFi or the cube itself and nothing fixes it. I actually deleted the app once and reinstalled it and that seemed to work for a bit but now I can’t connect again. So for now it’s pretty useless... please fix this! Your other screen mirroring app connect no problem, so it’s not an issue with my device or setup.

Horrible and need a lot of work

I downloaded this app because it helps me to view my videos on fire stick every but the video stops at the middle or you can fast forward very easily so if the video cuts off and you play it back and try to fast forward it’s just a pain. The wireless connection is not accurate, it sees the fire stick in the neighbors house but not the one I’m right in front of!!! It doesn’t make sense!! And yes I checked if my fire stick is connected to the same WiFi because I use the remote on my phone... so I gave up on this app.

Works well!!!

Great app. Works well. I know that people probably rate it a 4 for the in app purchase, but y’all gotta realize people need to make money!’ I’m actually gonna do the paid app now!!! I’ve enjoyed this and the Roku version for awhile and both work as advertised. I did pay for the fast forward and pause control.

Ehhhhh

It seemed to work well earlier today then suddenly the app would freeze or it would just a completely black screen on my tv with just audio. I was able to stream a video fine earlier today but this evening I had nothing but problems. If I didn’t use the app it would work fine on my phone but the streaming would not work. There is something I’d like to watch tomorrow I’ll give it another shot. If not I guess I’ll get a 20ft hdmi cable and hook it from my pc to my tv.

Fix the connection issues

I shouldn’t have to restart my wifi over and over for this it takes up to 20 min which at that point you would just rather just use your phone to watch at that point. I know you guys can fix this once this is fixed this is no question the best app till then you can consider this app a hit or miss. More people would buy this if yall fixed it so please do

Maybe an Update for Subtitles

This is a great app and is free! Just something with the subtitle feature, subs would sometimes appear after skipping back/forth or after pausing. Don't know if there is a definitive way to enable subs. They would sometimes appear or be disable not really knowing how.

So effing buggy!!

There goes $7! My version (the newest) will constantly, and annoyingly, ask me if the video is working, like EVERY SINGLE video! I am doing office certification tutorials with it (3-4 min video/ ~200 of them). I am immediately thought this was a bad sign, not just because it’s annoying, but the previous versions must not have worked. You have to use their badly programmed, proprietary browser, and, unlike Safari/ Chrome/ Firefox, it won’t save your history or keep you on the webpage, so in my case, I have to log back into the webpage after I walk away to make lunch or go to the bathroom. There’s two things that have stuck out for me. I’m afraid there’ll be a few more, because I’ve only been using it for an hour or so now. I wish I would’ve shopped around more, but I went for this one bc it had the best rating.

Great!!!but...

The app is amazing but the features that should have already come with the app itself like video playbar requires payment which is fine but they could at the very least they need to change the pricing like 2.99$ for ad blocking and 0.99$ for play bar but still a an amazing app tho 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Great app

Takes a little bit of figuring out but definitely worth it for being able to cast anything completely free. It even changes to the app on the tv when I open it on my phone

I love this app, I’ve used it many times to stream movies and shows that are unavailable on the surface web/streaming sites. It does glitch out now and then but overall this app is a major convenience. Thank you!

Doesn’t work

We followed the instructions on the app and corresponding firestick app and it would not cast our stream we tried to watch, it just kept syncing and reloading and forcing us to watch ads to sync and try again. Directions were not clear and of the only option is to spend 6.99 to upgrade than they shouldn’t have a free version. We did all the normal troubleshooting, and still couldn’t do what the app advertised.

Update Layout

You guys need to make vigorous changes to your cast settings. The WiFi connectivity has a major malfunction. I have paid for a premium package and I can receive more playback options from Apps like VLC. Please take the time out to check these diagnostics.

Deceptive

Like it or not folks, a lie is anything communicated with the intent to deceive. This simply cannot be refuted. And so it is with this app. Now, it doesn’t really hurt anyone because you’re still given the chance to decline subscription but why not be upfront about it? Just ends up being a waste of time. I guess this is the latest little trick amongst app developers and we’re seeing it more and more. You can download the “free” app (it truly is a free app...but if you wish to actually USE it, you need to pay first). Sleazy.

Useless after last update

Update after 6/8/18 they fixed what they broke and now it works fine again. Thanks for that and you can have 3 stars back :) Was working fine with some quirks and ads but for free it was great. Now it’s just a struggle to get it to connect to the firestick. No stars until fixed.

Used to be awesome.

I liked it enough I payed for it. It worked great for years. I just use it to stream videos from my Google Drive to my Fire Stick, and it worked perfect. Since the last update it won’t stream my vids any more. I wish I wouldn’t have updated the app. It connects to my Fire Stick like normal. Usually I get the can’t play this format, but when I tell it to try again it works. Now when I click try again it doesn’t play my video. I only cast videos from my Google Drive.

Casting live events to tv

This app is probably the best one I’ve seen so far for casting from my phone to my tv. My wife and I can’t believe that it took us so long to buy a Firestick(probably because we have a 60” smarttv, but we never utilized it fully)!!! It still needs some work

Good app

Like it so far just wish u cld leave the app and still have the option to watch other things from the phone and the connection would stay after watching a movie other than that it’s good

Great when it works

Needed to restart the firestick from the settings page instead of turning it off and on. That mostly fixes the issue of the app not being able to stream to the TV

I mean it works

I got this app specifically to show my family photos I had taken on our vacation. You have to pay 2.99 to access more than just your last 3 photos, and then you have to select them individually and wait for it to return to the waiting screen and then load the photo. No swiping, no zooming, really nothing but showing the selected photo on screen

Really bad cash grab

I would just recommend getting some kind of cheap dongle like chrome cast, there’s plenty of cheap ones on Wish. A feature that SHOULD be free and basic feature as these machines are well equipped for the task. They’ve over complicated something so simple it’s actually comedic. I don’t know what 9.99 unlocks but it looks like a mess to me. How can you charge for a FUNCTION of the device? It’s not a game or utility, it’s a function. The whole idea of this just irks me.

Disappointed

I feel like this app is just a scam for money at this point. I downloaded it because I switched from an Apple TV to a fire stick and I could no longer play my Apple Music over the tv by screen mirroring. The trial version let me play 3 of my songs just fine so I buy the premium and it only adds 1 more song. I can’t play my playlists or anything and I payed $7 for this. I hope it’s just a glitch maybe but it’s sketchy for sure.

It used to work...

I first noticed it not working a few days ago. This would happen sometimes anyway so I just didn’t use the app that day. Yesterday and today I have tried multiple times and rebooted my tv, phone and uninstalled and reinstalled the app too. “No fire TV discovered” Please help me out with this problem!

Works great. Easy to use.

Don’t know what all the fuss is about. Cost $6 in app and works perfectly on my iPhone X Max. Can watch videos online. Can look at photos on my phone. Just works great. 10/10 would buy again.

Don’t update

Worked awesome for years without updating. Accident updated all app on iPhone, now it’s locked on screen trying to charge me $9.99. The “x” to close is is hard to find. Don’t know how, but finally got rid it. Now app is full of video adds that must play first. Problem is audio starts casting while locked on add and video that I’m trying to cast cannot be see on the. The free version is a waste of time now. Also can only cast 3 photos.

Waste

Horrible experience. I want to play a video from my phone on my tv. It will only allow you to access you camera roll if you pay extra. So I pay and to access the video I have to scroll threw the entire camera roll. I can’t just go to videos. It says I don’t have any even though I do. And I one video that I want to play is sitting right there in the top of my camera roll but isn’t in the camera roll on the app some how.

Scam! Tries to get your credit card

I’d happily pay $50 a year for a decent app but these scum bait and switch with a ton of hoops to jump through before you can even test the app to see if it works. I gave up at the point where they asked for a credit card. Unfortunately I’ve already put this virus on my fire stick and phone and made an account for them to spam my email. 🙄

Disappointing!!

Initially when I first downloaded this app to my iPhone and on my fire stick it worked perfectly fine. But now it won’t connect and stay connected! It makes you watch an ad, freezes in the middle of the ad, asks if the video loaded and gives an option to try again. Then, the cycle just repeats itself! This app is now useless!

Why did I spend $7 for this?

Can confirm the additional cost on this proudly free app isn’t worth it. Unless you consider paying to scrub to the point where you were when the app crashed to keep watching your video worth it. Seeing the response to other comments, the amount of hoops to jump through to get reconnected is downright moronic. I might as well just get a chrome cast. This is dumb.

Do not download, in my 35 years of downloading apps this it the worse most glitchy one I’ve ever seen!! And to top the cake my 12 year old daughter had some friend over for a sleep over and where playing movies from my phone when PORN came on for one of the advertisements,,,that was a pleasant conversation I got to have with the other parents and with my lawyer that’s going to file agents this company!!!!
