Home to go

I like being able to look at the sites and choose where I would like to stay in advance and the pricing has been pretty good

Very expensive, lots of hidden costs

We were looking for something for Father’s Day, as an alternative to airbnb. We found a bunch of places on here that were advertising 125$ a night, etc so I got my gal all excited and let her pick a few. Then when I went to pay for something that was supposed to be $260 for two nights at a little cabin an hour from us out in the woods the final cost turned out to be 900$ Thought it might be a fluke so I checked several other “low cost” stays, all of which turned out to be almost 1000$ when I got to the final payment screen. I wasted like 3 hours looking and got my gal really upset by getting her hopes up. Ended up using airbnb instead. Pretty upsetting. I’ll be deleting this app.

Map View Useless, makes app useless to me. Pity

The whole point of the map view is to click on the property you want to see. But the app doesn’t work that way. It doesn’t event highlight the property on the map when you select it or the compare option in the results list. Basically your only option is to shop by photo and look at the location AFTER wasting your time finding its in the wrong part of town you want to stay. Personally, it renders the whole app nearly useless for me.

Terrible Customer Service

Booked for the first time, there was an error in the email although logged into my account on the app somehow the reservation was put under the erroneous email. Tried to call nobody answered the phone. Sent emails and they took days to respond if they ever responded. Going on over a month now past the reservation date and the original reservation. I still can’t get any help. Had to pay for another hotel because I could not get in contact with HomesToGo and Expedia wouldn’t help although the hotel said they received the booking through Expedia. It has been a nightmare of a time to deal with especially while trying to host family visiting us at our base overseas to see our newborn. Numerous emails AND calls 30+ days still no help, resolution, or response. WILL NOT BE USING THIS APP HOMESTOGO OR EXPEDIA EVER AGAIN. Cannot recommend to enough people NOT to use them.

Reservation cancelled on me

My booking was cancelled without my knowledge or consent or notification. I had been charged over $1500 and was not being refunded. HomeToGo was unable to help me in getting a refund or figuring out what happened. I spent a month of back and forth getting nowhere…..not even so much as an acknowledgment that there was an issue and that they were sorry for what happened. I found out what happened by chance - very easily could have arrived without a place to stay. Beware

Many Options & Easy To Use

On the HomeToGo app there are plenty of vacation rental options. I found it easy to find the perfect stay for my work trip in the US.

Not Useful

I accidentally thought this app was something else I was looking for. My main goal was to find an alternative to Airbnb as I had a very bad experience with them. When I search for places in one area that I was interested in, all I got back were references/links to Airbnb. I don’t understand the value of this app if you can just go straight to the original source.

Why is it you show the date and price saying total amount…..then you click on it and price goes to screen showing higher price …that’s not including fees and taxes ….then when you book total prices comes up a couple thousand more then the start amount….no thanks…..very misleading

We booked through sandseeker in Panama city and stayed at Aqua Vista. Amazing room!! Clean, not outdated and we loved it being a gated Condo!! Definitely will return and recommend to anyone!!!

SCAM

I was scammed after using this app. I booked a home through here for the weekend and it was cancelled without my knowledge and now it’s the day of my trip and we have nowhere to stay. This is very bad business practice going on here and there are numerous reviews saying how people have been scammed off this app/website.

lagging n kicking out.

the app is great for most of it, but i cant look at most homes,apartments, hotels,etc. its not fair when i would like to see places, but then it lags then kicks me out of the app. it might be my internet, but if anyone else is experiencing this aswell please respond! once again this is app is amazing and i recommend it, maybe expect lagging and it kicking you out.

It’s pretty good but...

You can find the best house but it will be for thousands and it does not sho Cheap prices if the prices weren’t so expensive it would be better than Airbnb but it’s just too pricey

Very confusing to even book

This app is hard to use. I try to type in a specific location and it loads vacation homes in other locations and on different dates.

Misleading

The pricing on Home ToGo is 50% less than when it redirects you to Vrbo. An app that is consistently crashing, which is why I looked for other booking options. Very disappointing.

Misleading prices

Misleading prices, property shows a price and then at checkout the price x3 or even 4x times higher. At least show a near price to real. Do we don’t waste time

Neither prices or filters give you the right results once it opens the partner website. Great idea I would love to see it actually works in the future.

Do not use this app

Avoid hard

This awful app is just a middleman (aggregator) skimming a little more of your money without adding any value. The parent company is also a "primary" advertiser on Fox News.

Listings/Pricing is VERY misleading

You’ll see a house that says “$700 including fees, excluding taxes.” Then you click the booking button and the price doubles. There isn’t a 100% lodging tax in Oregon. Garbage app.

Fraudulent service

German based company that only operates in German time zone (CEST) and only operate during German business hours. THEY ARE UNAVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS! If you need to cancel on a weekend they ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND TAKE AT LEAST A WEEK TO RESPOND TO EMAILS!!!

False advertisement

I tried scheduling a 3 night visit to Orange Beach, AL and this website/app said it was $26/nightly rate. I inquired to get more info. When I was contacted back, the total for that trip was $400+! Disappointed with the false advertisement of this site

Was looking for a place in Avalon Park Florida which the app kept changing to Avalon Park Florist. Apparently that’s a town? No listings there, so it gave me all the listings in Hawaii.
