I am currently unable to log in via the app. Mobile and desktop website are working fine. But the app keeps directing me to reset my password. I went through a loop of this several times. I then tried logging in to the mobile / desktop websites after the last pw reset, and those worked. Tried the newest paw one more time in mobile app, same thing. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same. I reset my phone, installed again, sane. I’m sure it’s the app. Also, there’s NO integration with touch / Face ID or the other iOS password function that asks one to auto fill the password. One either must remember the password AND type on security questions every time. The ONLY minor time saving option, and this comes from iOS itself, is to tap the option to look up ALL your iCloud Keychain passwords, and choose it from a list, and then proceed to your security questions. Years ago this would be normal. But in 2019 this is unacceptable. Until my login issue and these are fixed, I’m not changing my rating or review. I know one star is harsh, but these are major issues that, in 2019, shouldn’t be an issue. Much smaller apps get these issues worked out in a timely manner. Please fix and I’ll change accordingly.
I am very frustrated with this app since the most recent update. It keeps abruptly closing on me. I’ve done every conceivable step (both with the app and my devices) to resolve this with no resolution…and while customer support responded to my emails, they were not actually very helpful, suggesting it wasn’t on their end and that no one else had reported a problem. I don’t often write reviews, particularly negative ones, but I’m wondering if anyone else is having issue since the most recent update.
So far the app is good, getting familiar with it. The associates I deal with, always over the phone are commendable. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful. I have many financial institutions much closer to my residence but when I retired I stayed with Verve. I have been with Verve way since you took over BACU and will stay with Verve. Especially like your online banking. Throughout the years you’ve always taken care of my financial needs...
I like that the look and feel is exactly the same as the website but now you get all the advantages from your device, I can’t wait to see what is next. Please provide text messages when debit and credit cards are charged with a message that includes the charged amount. I would like that when going to bars and restaurants so I know that staff is entering the correct tip amount.
This verve update brought the app from the stone ages to the future of online banking. It’s like one minute, you’re sending carrier pidgeons to deposit checks and then this new app is like sending laser equipped dolphins to protect your account. Such a huge improvement. I used to bank with Community First, but this app is even better than theirs. #ThankYouVerve
One of the reasons I am not fully moving my finances over to this institution is due to of the lacking app technology. May not matter to most, but if they want more customers this is a big area that needs improvement. It takes too long to login, FaceID integration would be great. If you’re signing in from a trusted device with a password set up, a security question should not need to be necessary every time you login. It also does not make sense to have mobile check deposit with its own login. Overall, this app needs a big overhaul and is very inaccessible... the opposite of how I want my relationship to be with my finances.
I’ve had an account with verve for about 5 years now, always loved their services besides the app. I just installed the update they had been working on… and wow, I must say fantastic redesign & biometrics integration. I hope we can keep improvements like this coming as new technology is always evolving 😊

This app literally won’t allow me to login and hasn’t for well over a year or more. The login button stays grayed out no matter what. It forces me to use the web browser. It has no Touch or Face ID integration which is a shame. It also hasn’t been updated to fit screens that have changed in the past four years or more. I seriously doubt anything is being done to correct any of this or even work on something entirely new which is sorely needed. I doubt Merv puts up with this! Or did he eat too much pumpkin spice again?
My only qualm with verve is the app itself. And ONLY the app. I’d like to see the app a bit more updated, meaning FaceID/TouchID enables for iPhones. Also, if the app could fit the whole screen. It’s a bit irritating that I need to type in my information every single time when there’s other apps that allow these features already. I’d love to see an update on these, and once they’re updated, I’d change my rating to 5 stars!
This is not so much an app but a much-worse functioning way to access a website. Logging in is a giant pain and often prompts you to reset your password, using the app menu at all logs you out, zooming doesn’t work (which you need to do since there is absolutely no consideration taken to the size of your phone screen), and the app doesn’t even take up the full screen on iPhone X and later. I’d give this zero stars if I could. Unacceptable to have such a bad app in 2021.
I’ll bet the entire app is super buggy considering I can’t get past the change password requirement because it keeps telling me my 10+ digit password with a nice mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols doesn’t meet the requirement. This is only when confirming the password, the first entry compliments me on my strong password choice. Not in a hurry for them to fix this, it’s only my money to can’t access...
To be honest, I prefer the other version. This version is really slow when it comes to updating the account when money is used. When the old version is showed right away. No hate, but hopefully I get use to this.
Logging into the app still doesn’t work; it will only allow logging in to the system though the full website log in. It’s been over a month since I posted this comment, and yes, I mention it to the folks at the locations whenever I visit. It doesn’t work. Fix this, Verve!
Functionality is terrible. Half the time I cannot log into the app and have to use the browser on my phone which honestly goes way faster. The simple things you can do at any other institution I’ve been with are non existent with this app. There are so many clicks to get where you want to go. Make it better.
The app keeps logging me out randomly when I’m actively using it. I also dislike that with the most recent update it defaults to hiding the security question. I’m on my phone, it’s hard enough to type already.
I’m not sure the last time they updated it, but it’s been ages. I find it infinitely frustrating to still not be able use use Face ID to go in. And why is it that I have to have a separate account to do deposits from my bank account? Wouldn’t it make sense to have that all on one place?
This app is always down for me atleast once a week. I’m not sure what the problem is, but it’s definitely not very convenient for an online banking app that’s constantly down. I am not very happy. Please fix this problem ASAP.
I have never had problems banking with Verve, but this app needs a serious update. Also can we have one login for banking and mobile deposit. Many other banking apps have much cleaner and user friendly interfaces. This app needs a serious facelift.
Just joined Verve and am very disappointed by the app. I am seriously considering finding a different bank. My precious bank had a 5-star app and I have come to depend on it. I just don’t know if I can bank at a place with such a dated mobile app. Verve’s customers deserve better.
Verve hire better app developers and not just use the website in an app it’s pointless. There’s no Face ID no Touch ID or an option to save your login. You are better off using the website because safari will keep your login for you.
This app needs a serious update. How can a financial institution not update the app more than once a year. How about one touch login? Not having to login twice to use remote deposit would be nice. Please update
