Functional way to travel

Easy to use platform. Layout has tabs that 1st. Choose trip, 2. Tickets bought, 3. Other. Choose either one way or round trip and compares different prices offered with various times to choose from. Gives sorting filter of price, location, and type of service provider. The app partners with all types of bus brands and providers to give you a cheaper travel and options. After you buy the ticket just print it. Simple and easier to use than other bus apps. Would recommend others to download this app!!

Excellent - save one aspect

Truly does seem to be carrier-agnostic, been relying on their website for a decade and the app is the same (as usually is the case, app is a bit better than using a site). I am not cool, though, with the prices shown when choosing between options not including whatever taxes n fees the operator(s) charge because on my trip I ended up paying a lot more choosing the one leaving from Boston’s South Station terminal which has an additional fee that the other option doesn’t charge - Wanderu showed them as having the same price when I was choosing between them. I’m not complaining that when I clicked it the price went up when it confirmed availability because searching on another device right after showed me the updated price right off the bat, I get that, but the fees each carrier charges appear to be a known fixed cost that Wanderu just doesn’t show you so that their prices at first look are very good. I know this is a standard in the industry, like how booking a hotel on Priceline always costs significantly more at checkout than thr advertised price - I would hope that these sites / services would find some way to instead be honest and upfront about pricing even if that just means putting an asterisk.

First time ever leaving the state by myself

This app is definitely a great way to safely buy a ticket for Amtrak, grey hound etc. I have used this app every time I have left the state to visit friends and family with zero issues. U are able to pull up ur ticket on the app but I always print mine just to be sure that I have the information at hand if for some reason the app isn’t loading at ticket check. I recommend this app to my friends and family and I won’t look for any other way of purchasing transportation!

Easy Peazy! But maybe a little sleazy?

All in all a very easy transactional experience. Wanderu is a very well organized app that helps me book transport with a lot less effort than before. My only issue is that several times when I’ve used the app, it has shown one price, which then increases as soon as I select the journey. It feels a little bit like a bait and switch operation. That’s not cool and perhaps even potentially illegal - for you lawyers out there - if that’s indeed what’s going on. I’m not sure if it’s just my bad luck or built into the app. It is however definitely something to be mindful of as you use the app.

Easy to use

A family member recently moved to a different city and comes home every few weeks. Wanderu has made booking much easier. It’s like Travelocity for trains and buses. It’s helped us find the best way to get her home, and the best feature is the details and maps, so we can see which departure and arrival locations are closest to her work and subway stations. We feel Wanderu has made a pain in the neck much better.

Bait and Switch App

As I made reservations for travel on a Flix bus the Wanderu app up charged me four times. The original price was below $100. After receiving messages that this route was having increasing demand the price ended up being $159. The booking took place within a couple hours of departure so I went along with the price increases. I booked the same route a few days later and again it was only a few hours before departure but the price remained steady at $89. The second time I was directly on the Flix website. I will never again pay for travel through Wanderu but I might use it to to find travel solutions and then go directly to those service providers’ websites.

Garbage in practices

I was stuck with a trip after they had technical difficulties in displaying accurate scheduling. I simply requested a credit so I could select my regular trip and I was meet with the lie that all displays even when there is technical difficulties are accurate abc there’s nothing they could do. If more than 10 trips are displayed after there was none displayed when purchased that is far from accurate and your customer is should never be responsible for anything technical happening within the App. Just disappointed to hear someone says there’s nothing they can do - when there always is and when your given general replies (as if they are copied and pasted).

The Google flights of ground transportation !

Love this app! I use it literally all the time. I dont drive, but I travel often. I’ve used it for day trips…. Long and short trips….. trips with my daughter. Late and early trips. Last minute trips. This app is a lifesaver and it works in real time. Truly the google flights of ground transportation. I have been using this app for over 6 years and i don’t even have an alternate site. There’s no need 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sleek, easy, and a convenient must-have for frequent ground travelers!

Sleek look, super easy to use, and incredibly convenient to have all your tickets (from concord, mega is, etc.) all in one place (and without an additional third party fee... Sign me up!). This is my first time using and I feel more organized already! Undoubtedly a must-have for frequent ground travelers! MY ONLY WISH is they’d auto fill all info for all operators on all bookings - that probably steps on toes, though. A

Makes my life easier

I have an easier time planning and booking Amtrak trips on here than through the Amtrak website or app! The interface is smooth, intuitive and easy to use. I love how it separates your options into recommended, earliest, latest, cheapest, and fastest so you can easily find the best option for you depending on what your individual priorities are. Thank you for making my life easier!

Best App for Ground Travel

Been using this app since I was a broke college student and it’s still the best around. The way they sort trips and search all sorts of sites (even the ones you probably haven’t heard of) I’ve found out I can visit friends in smaller towns all over the place that I thought I’d need to rent a car for. My go to for domestic travel when I have no plans on flying.

Wanderu’s newest fan!

Just heard about Wanderu, so I tried it out for a last minute work trip. Just far enough away from home that it’s a pain to drive and just close enough that it’s not worth the airfare to fly. Saved a ton of time searching various travel sites directly and found one that fit my schedule at a great rate. I’ll definitely use this app again!

Great for commuters !!!

I travel for work and Wanderu makes it easy to check multiple options/schedules at once. The only issue I face sometimes is with Amtrak and the ticket not sending through but the solution is to just copy the confirmation and pull up your ticket on the Amtrak site/app. Other than that this app is very useful and I recommend it.

Amazing

Wanderu makes it so simple to purchase trips and allows you to make the most ideal decisions when doing so. It compiles all the options such as date, time, train, bus, company, one way, round trip, price, etc. and this makes it so easy to make an informed and affordable decision for traveling. Thanks a lot for all their help through the years!

I recommend!!

I discovered this when I had to travel out of state to see my girlfriend. I’ve been using it ever since . It’s so easy to use and convenient. Instead of downloading different traveling apps this app lets u see all travel agencies going to your destination. This allows u to see all the different prices and choose one .

Discovered Unknown Route

For decades I’ve been traveling from the Mid-Atlantic to Westchester New York taking at least four modes of transportation. When I put the request into the Wanderu App, it found a direct route which cut down on at least 1 cab ride transfer and 1 additional train. To put the star on the tree, my costs will be 1/3 of my usual trek in about 1/3 the time.

Excellent app

This is not an app for getting lots of choices or options between locations. This is an app for the most direct option with times, prices and length of travel. Choose and pay. The purchase is directly with the carrier. This app provides the travel options between locations that are serviced by bus and train locations. Really well done.

Reliable and Fast

Always easy to book and the trips available are extensive. And if the app does trip up on something it always has a graceful pop up or handler that doesn’t crash the app or make it freeze. Once I started using Wanderu I’ve never gone anywhere else for bus or train travel

Great app to find various buses and trains easily

Just please fix the scroll. When you open a trip to see the details and go back to the search results , it automatically takes to you the top of the list. You have to scroll back down to find the trip you wanted. Other than that it's great.

Wanderu

Wanderu is a simple easy to use application that allows users to set up a destination with various means of transit as options on how to get there whether it be bus, train, plane etc. The app takes into account the best prices as well as what matters most to you when traveling. Every frequent traveler or even ones who travel rarely but want to set up their trip in the most convenient manner should download this application.

Wanderu

Easy to use however, I purchased Vamoose Bus tickets and the schedule was off by 2 hours. The trip took 6 hours instead of 4 and nothing to do with traffic. Afterwards I looked at other bus schedules for same route and it appears to be the average time 5-6 hours depending on how many stops. Just beware! Is it from Vamoose not reporting the correct schedule or is it from Wanderu not being diligent to search and report correct info?

Upcharges Dynamic” Pricing / Bait and Switch

Try going to checkout on this app without payment processing failing once or twice because your ticket is now “unavailable” at the price it confirmed just 30 seconds ago. This app and the carrier partners are using a predatory pricing practice because they know you are about to purchase the ticket regardless, so what’s $5 more bucks to ya? The pricing changes are not driven by actual supply and demand. You are the lone demand and they have you by the neck to pay whatever the updated price is.

A few minor flaws

I’ve been using this app for a long time, and it’s very reliable for getting the best prices and booking easily. My only quips are: 1) the currency keeps defaulting to euros, I want to see it in USD. The setting won’t save and I have to manually change it every time. 2) I would love a button to more easily call the carrier, instead of having to search the number. Besides those, perfect app!

Good for using

I will say, you get what you paid. Although people coughing without wearing a mask, but you gotta protect yourself, get vaccine within 3 month or wear mask all the time. This is the only way to save your budget. Driver answers your questions, people maybe dressing wired and got wired haircut. But all of us share the quiet journey.

Fantastic Service

Using Wanderu streamlines your search for all non-flight options (like bus and train) and feeds all results to you super quickly. It makes my life so much easier. PLUS, unlike other third party sites, it makes your reservations directly through the vendor, so your reservations are not treated differently. It's perfect.

Booking at the Last Minute

In the middle of dropping a car for my son whose car stopped working, it is nice to be able to buy a train ticket back home using a clean well designed app/website. One less problem to take care which is nice💕

Wanderu

I love the service there’s only one problem the ticket prices. They tell you there’s no availability at one price so they go lower in price and then they tell you your paying $67 dollars instead of $80 but then you view your ticket and it’s at $80 dollars so what is that about???

So quick and easy to find tickets

I love using Wanderu. The mobile app is great, the payments are easy, the search results are clear. The only trouble I’ve had is that Wanderu seems not to publish every route for the companies it contracts with. For certain places I double check on company websites and book through the company when the route is unavailable on Wanderu.

The Best you could ask for in the Market!

I’ve got nothing much to say. It’s way better than the other apps and the UI is perfect. Quick and live price changes which is good. A very beautiful and a lean process all the way to the end of booking/payment.

Decent but..

I like having the app. It's easy to use. I want more features and options within it though. It would be nice to be able to pick a price and/or destination and just see what's available. Ex. If I could say I wanted to keep my ticket price at a set amount and see where I can go for that price from a set location. Features like this would be beneficial and help some people travel more often!!

Solid App with Annoying UX

I use this app to purchase travel tickets, and the process is more or less smooth and works as expected. However, despite having an account with the company, I'm forced to sign in EVERY time I enter the app and by extension I need to reenter all of my card details. This is a major annoyance and I'm surprised the app behaves in this way. Why aren't payments tied to accounts? That's all.

Love this app!

I have been using Wanderu for a couple of years and love. I especially appreciate the filters - fastest, cheapest, earliest, etc as this is how I shop! It’s helpful to see all bus and train options in one place. I have yet to use for flights, didn’t even realize you could. Definitely recommend this app!

Easy to use!

As a college student away from home, I use this app so much to find my way around. It’s so easy to use and gets all different connecting routes so I don’t have to. Definitely recommend if you’re new to public transportation (:

No Access to Quantico, but Wanderu is good.

I always booked with Wanderu, however recently I booked a bad ticket. I was not allowed to access the AMTRAK at Quantico, VA. I feel that they should not advertise tickets that is on military base to the general public if they are not able to access it or at least Wanderu warn us that it’s on a Marine base. I ended up paying $100 via UBER to get from VA to BWI. This is the only problem I had.

Impressive

I decided to take a little bus trip out of state and this app was recommended. Totally impressed by how easy it was to find the buses I needed - I especially liked the filters for bus or train only. If this trip goes smoothly, this will become my go to app.

Amazing travel app!

I love this app. I’ve been using it for years to travel. The only thing I would possibly change about Wanderu is to add feature where you can sign into you account for whatever bus you’re traveling on. That way the points can accumulate and you can work towards free trips. Otherwise, I have absolutely no complaints.

Very useful

Super convenient to be able to search for everything all in one place across bus companies. I’d give it 4.5 stars if possible. I use it all the time and 99% of the time it works out great. Minor caveat: be careful buying tickets within 5 or 10 minutes of departure time: I once bought one at the last minute and then the bus company told me the bus was already sold out. I imagine their systems sync every few minutes and they hadn’t synced yet to indicate the bus was full. Suggestion: it would be great to be able to save search preferences like bus only, don’t include nearby locations, etc. Great app all round, I recommend it all the time.

Actually a really great service

No really any annoying ads, truly finds the cheapest price, the fastest trip, and other things. Easy to use as well! I will definitely be using this app in the future, and recommend it to others.

Great app!

I’m a huge fan of Wanderu, especially when I need a last minute trip in a pinch. It also helps me discover other affordable options that I wouldn’t otherwise know existed. The app is perfect and has everything I need, especially Apple Pay.

Amazing Booking App

LITERALLY only booking app I use. Sometimes bookings don’t always come out but I can just check confirmation via email. SO HELPFUL! Won’t use other apps at this point. Wanderu definitely posts some really inexpensive fares for last-minute trips as well. 👍🏼🙌🏼

Got me out a crisis

So here I am in Miami with friends & we didn’t buy a round trip coming down - (tickets were like $1,500 to get back home) I got on wanderu and got a $75 ticket home .. yes it was 17 hours but I slept through the bus changes. This app really had my back. I trust it fully.

Easy Awesomeness

Definitely the most convenient and most organized way to travel. I make daily trips to NYC from the capital and this mode of booking is the most inexpensive and time saving method. So happy it’s even more conveniently an app! All great experiences for everyone.

Quick easy

Quick easy interface makes buying bus in train tickets easy. Bought my ticket from Baltimore to NY within minutes. Only critique is the app cuts off the address to the bus station when browsing.

Credit card entry must be improved

Support Apple Pay, or at least make it remember saved credit cards in Safari. Fine app otherwise.

Convenient and easy to use

Super easy to use and it has all buses and trains available. There are other bus routes that are not Greyhound or Peter Pan that appear on the app. I have always had great experiences. I have even recommended it to many of my friends and they love it!

Awesome!

Gives me the best deals on train tickets for when I want to go home from school on the weekends. I can keep all my tickets on the app and it will tell me if I can use Mobil boarding or need to print my ticket. Super convenient and makes travel so easy!
