The as always say comment down below, but there is no where to comment. This app needs major fixing, and fast. I only go to WDW, not Disney land and not Universal. I click on the filters at the top, and the articles about DL and universal don’t go away. This is super annoying. Please fix the app. It has good potential if things actually worked as they should.
I am giving the app a 1 star review because they constantly post on the app, social media and their website universal news. Don’t call it Walt Disney world news today If it’s Orlando news and other parks not Disney owned. Anyone traveling outside of Florida is going to get very confused by this because of that. The people who work at wdwnt know it’s east for tourists to get tbeee parks confused yet they constantly report news like they are all Disney parks. What is the point of putting sections on your website to filter news and stories when you are adding universal news into it. Maybe let’s start adding gator land and sea world to the app. How about fun things to do in Miami next? I hear Nashville TN is also nice this time of year if you are not hiking in Colorado. Terrible news management in this app.
WDWNT used to be an amazing Disney news outlet. Used to be. Now they’ve gone rogue with their crazy Liberal writers who believe the mainstream media against anything right in this world. It’s sad how almost 2-3 out of 5 of their posts try to poison your mind with their radical Liberal opinions. Just like Disney should have, WDWNT, Please … KEEP. POLITICS. OUT. OF. YOUR. CONTENT. You’re becoming woke groomers and you’re losing your audience. Just like no one gives any cares to listen to what political stance Disney has, no one cares to hear yours. Use your personal outlets as your soapbox. Not your public business.
The whole Disney thing of this app aka the reason people get this app is good and all and I like getting news of the parks it’s just do you really need to put that with the news of a stupid bad park such as universal like anyone really cares about them, if you want to do universal news do it on a UNIVERSAL news app is it really that hard to do? No... no it is not, so do it, or not I don’t even like universal at all. 8/10
Great for Disney Parks and other theme park news and updates!
I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this incredible app, because all the WDWNT team is trying to do is bring you the news for theme parks and entertainment as soon as they can. If I could give this app more than 5 stars I would! Keep up the great work WDWNT!
Amazing improvements especially for visually impaired
Love the update to the app… Coming from a visually impaired person the app is easier to navigate through and to submit things then prior… Love how you can filter through Articles and share out on all social media platforms Love this app before but even love it more now keep up the great work
This is the best Disney news app ever!!! But ever since I updated the app it’ll open for a couple seconds then crash. I tried to power off my phone and delete the app but nothing seems to work. All I ask is to fix the app cuz I use it all the time 😂
This is a great app for all things Disney. Coupled with solid content from the website, it’s almost too good! Note: App is very broken on iOS 14.5 beta. I hope this is resolved soon.
If you want a better experience in terms of information, just use the mobile site. The app is full of ridiculously intrusive pop up ads that fill the entire screen and can’t be closed. At least with the browser option you can use Ad-Blocker to prevent seeing all the unnecessary monetizing of a once-great site. If they focused more on content and less on revenue it would be a better place for everyone. UPDATE: App now having a pop up saying “LOADED” then it crashes.
I don’t write reviews. And I don’t like change. This latest version crashes upon opening. Only way I can read the stories is to open the website and search. App doesn’t work despite uninstalling and res installing. Might have something to do with the latest iOS version.
App doesn’t work with Apple’s new privacy settings
Downloaded this app but it won’t load anything with Apple’s new privacy settings turned on. Push notifications come through but it just shows the circle of loading forever with no resolution.
The content is great (as expected), just two little things and this goes to a 5 star review: 1 - app has a tendency to freeze on opening. I’ve observed this one three different devices 2 - need a better way to share articles from the app itself
Don’t waste your time with this worthless “news” site. They write patently false stories with misleading headlines just to get views. The only good thing is it didn’t cost anything. Other than your time and lost brain cells.
Sometimes I just want to share the articles from the app. Like for texting and messaging. All the news posts opens in a web tab and only has the done button. The only way to share the page there is the embedded buttons at the bottom of the website page for sharing to Facebook or emailing. Generally have to email it to myself, pull the link, then text it. Wish there was a better way.
I've got an iPhone 8 and love the notifications but the app will crash when opened. And if I can get it to open the loading icon never goes away. Ads clog the screen that I have to close to get rid of EVERY time. And then pop up ads. It's a very frustrating app that I wish I could pay for to get rid of the ads. Even then...if it crashes as much as it does now I wouldn't even pay for it. Clean it up guys! You guys have great content but make it so we can actually READ what you put together. Oh and and PUHlease add a share button so I can send the articles to my family. 🙏
I, for the most part, love this app. I love reading the daily updates on my favorite theme parks. I also realize we are in the middle of a pandemic and news about the parks is in short supply. However, there is FAR to much Universal coverage lately. This is the WDW news today app - not the central Florida theme park news app (CFTPNT?). A little coverage of the others parks would be understandable, this is become a bit much.
Finally I have my favorite Disney website at my fingertips at all times now. I will never miss news, announcements, videos etc. Now I don't have to worry about getting I trouble for being on the site while at work. The app is very clean and user friendly!
This is app is truly awesome in 2020. Sure it could be updated to be a bit faster or more modernized, but the app has everything you downloaded it for! It has the news and everything from their website or instagram. 👍👍
Not gonna lie early days I had some freezing issues but now it works flawlessly. Love getting all the news updates straight to my phone and watch every day!!
Fantastic rewrite of a required app for a Disney fan
I used the original version of the app but it was really function over form. The reboot has all of the content (and possibly more) in a very elegant and easy to navigate layout. Great work guys!
The news is always awesome... But the ads have broken the app to the point that it does not work well on iPhone. Stop the full page video ads! I immediately close the app when the video ads start... Offer Patron login to remove ads!!
I love the site, but the app is a little funky. I have an iPhone X with the latest iOS and every time I load a story I have issues. The loading icon never stops spinning (even as I read the article). Now, after about 30 seconds, an ad auto plays and then the app crashes. Hopefully, this can be fixed soon.
Great news is presented through the app, but the app often glitches or takes time to load. It’s almost if as the app doesn’t know what it’s trying to complete. Despite problems, I recommend downloading.
It’s Just after noon today, and so far I’ve gotten 9 (NINE!) notifications from this app. Fortunately, for my sanity I’ve muted this app. Here’s the deal: I want to get notifications occasionally, but I can’t Think of ANY scenario where that would be an acceptable number of notifications from one app. PLEASE use some discretion and tone them down!
This app is amazing and a joy to use except for one aspect, the notifications. If you want your phone to go off every 10-20 minutes, then download this app & turn on the notifications. PLEASE update this app with the ability to select which news we want notifications on!
I can’t scroll more than halfway through the feed without it refreshing every few seconds and going back to the top, is there a setting to stop this? It better to just go to the website instead of using the app. This needs to be fixed.
This app would be great to review their feed of articles if an ad did not pop up every time I open the app. I realize you need to monetize this to run your site or refresh the app, but this is not the way to run your ad platform.
I would love to use this app but for some reason it doesn’t work. It won’t open. I get all the notifications but when I click on them it brings me to the title screen and doesn’t open. Any suggestions?
Love the news but app is broken and will not open. Please fix as I get news popping on my feed but when I click on the pop up the app will not go past the load screen.
