We Heart It

The reason i’m giving this app 4 stars is because there’re a few things i dislike. One of them being, whenever i open the app to find gifs to use for discord and other stuff, 93% of the time it dosent load in. So i have to turn my wifi off and wait about 5 minutes before going back on the app. Another thing is when i try to save gifs to my camera roll they play an ad, and then don’t even let me have the gif.. when it imports into my camera roll it’s a photo of the gif and not THE gif. So i have to copy the link of the gif and go out of my way to save it. Other then the app freezing and me having to manually save gifs, this app is really good for creating your own little “storage area” of things you like and i really like the concept. I love going through peoples collections and i love to make my own too! I recommend this app to anyone who’s looking for a good place to find gifs and photos or people with collections that match your aesthetic.

I have been using this app for a very long time now, for picture's that I can use while editing, and the watermark has been the most disappointing update this app has had. We heart It does not own the photo's, it only provides a platform for real life people to post photo's and make collections. We (the people who use the app) upload these photo's into collections or just to upload them for others, so people can enjoy using them however they please. We should not have to only download 10 images a day because you want to put a watermark on all of the photo's, and we shouldn't have to spend money on a membership for photo's we could just google and find. There is no other app like we heart it, and everyone cherishes the app very much, we are grateful for a platform where you can find photo's on and make friends with people who have similar interests. Although we are not grateful for now having to pay for photo's that we have gotten for free since the beginning of the app. Once again whi does not own these photo's, they provide a platform for people to upload photo's, and making us pay for a membership just to download photo's tell's all of us that you are just trying to make more of a profit when thousands of people use this app already, please just remove the watermark completely. we'd be grateful.

I’ve been on WHI since the beginning & have enjoyed being apart of their growth over the years. I’ve always had a paid account, which is so worth it! Eliminates the ads & just a smoother experience. Highly suggest just forking over the $20/yr fee! I own an online boutique & always need random artwork for my instagram feed to “flow”. This app has more unique images than Pinterest, which is ridiculously saturated. I’m starting to notice WHI is beginning to become this way too, which I really wish they’d have a better system of kicking duplicate images people post. Never fails when I search for “sunflowers” for example- I’ll see the same exact sunflower image 2 dozen times while scrolling thru the thousands of others. Also, I hope they can tweak their search feature to include either images or users, as it’s sooo saturated with I guess Asian pop singers? I’m not familiar with this, but it seems that’s what normally appears first in almost all of my searches- no matter what I search. Other than those minor things, this App is awesome! I can’t help but hesitate posting this review, as I almost don’t want more users to be using the same unique images I’m finding! Being selfish here, but it’s the truth! The internet is clogged as it is!

I have been using this app for years mainly for editing purposes and when I first used the app there were barely any ads. Now there are ads everywhere, even multiple ads after just trying to save one photo. I’m constantly getting taken to the app store or safari even when I haven’t touched anything. It is really, VERY annoying especially when every single ad is a scam anyways. Here is what is making me very angry though; just recently after I saved a bunch of photos I noticed they ALL had the We Heart It logo in the corner! We get it, you are trying to get your money, but it is going to make you lose a bunch of users. People make edits or transparents that take hours or even days to finish just to get the app’s logo slapped on it. It doesn’t seem right, even if it may be technically allowed. This app has become unusable at this point. You shouldn’t have to buy being able to save a photo. It can improve if you just limit the amount of ads and stop being so money-hungry. Yeah it may be “affordable” but no one is going to buy saving a photo without a watermark, you can just simply google at that point. There is really no app like We Heart It, it brings groups together and it’s amazing, so please consider this.

I’ve used this app for years and have loved it! but I have some serious bones to pick with the developers: the functionality of this app has somehow gotten worse over the years— which is a rare feat in app development. The app lags constantly, it makes my phone overheat, and it will randomly freeze and force quit at least once every time I try to use the app. The ads are overwhelming. I understand having ads is a necessary evil these days (even though it managed to be ad free for years back in the day) HOWEVER, there is an ad every 2-4 posts which is insane. And there’s a banner ad at the bottom too. And there’s an ad (sometimes multiple) if you try to download an image. It’s so much that it’s hindering user experience. My advice to the team is to try to make the ads less obtrusive and integrate them seamlessly into the feed. Another issue I’d like to address is the “image not available” placeholder appearing where you’d saved an image no longer available in a collection. Why show me that? Why not just remove it from the collection or hide it? I’m pretty sure this is a recent update thing because I’ve never seen it happen before. It really ruins the aesthetics of the collection, at least give us an option to hide it. Please please please listen to your user base!! None of us want to abandon this app but it is so hard to use these days!

I was recently praising this app, expressing to a friend how incredible it is for visualizing and how much it means to me. I've been a loyal user of We Heart It for over ten years. I sincerely hope that the creators are actively working to address the issues and restore our data. Interestingly, the desktop version still displays my hearts, collections, and followers, but the search bar has disappeared. I hope they will retain our data on the desktop version at the very least. Currently, there's no compelling reason for me to remain a subscriber, so I have decided to cancel my subscription for now. It's hard to imagine that losing 99% of their user base is their intention, but one can never be certain. However, I can confidently say that this isn't like one of those Instagram updates where people complain but continue using the app. The app has become completely unusable. The homepage now seems to be sorted based on the oldest photo posted on We Heart It, which is very strange. I need answers. Update: their faq page was updated 11 days ago and says “ We’ve added new capabilities to create and edit images, curate your gallery and explore content that will brighten your day. We've done away with profiles and hearting to focus on these new features. Useless app now. You guys lost me be being so out of touch with what your user base wants, and blatant disregard.

Hi we heart it, I just want to express my sadness to see the app change into whatever this new update is. I have been a hearter since I discovered your app in 2012, and now it seems that the whole reason I downloaded and fell In love with the app is gone. What’s the point of being called “We heart it” if we can’t heart pictures? I have used this app to plan my days, and weeks for as long as I can remember, by picture hearting, I also loved the articles as well, I discovered new music, recipes, fashion advice from other hearters…. I built a profile with a following I was proud of and now that’s gone as well. But Please PLEASE don’t change the website!!!! If you change the website I will be forced to say goodbye as is everyone else. I am also very very sad about the loss of articles. I am a writer professionally and I made several articles that I got so many hearts on and I was so proud of myself. But now that is just wiped away. Pinterest is going to be my new app if you make the website the same as the app. I truly will miss this app and it’s uniqueness from every other social media page. I felt noticed and liked here. This was my go to, I deleted Instagram long ago and was okay because I had this. Now it’s also going away. I will miss what we heart it was. - signed, a broken hearter.

I’ve used this app for years. I understand you need ads to make profit and they’re not annoying on the bottom of the screen or in the middle of collections, but let’s not force users to deal with ads when trying to save a photo every. single. time. Please do not turn into one of those apps. Above was an old review, and now I’m just here to say you really don’t care about your users. Putting watermarks on photos that aren’t even yours?? You’re literally limiting everything we do on here just because you want money. The multiple ads weren’t enough nor were the already existing optional plans?? No, now you have to practically force us to buy a plan. Are you trying to see how many users you can lose or?? Update : You’re not even trying to listen to your users. You literally just replied saying you only increased the number of images we can save before getting a watermark and for me to get one of your plans. The issue is the fact that you’re putting watermarks on photos that don’t belong to you in the first place as a way to limit daily free use of the app because you just want us to buy your memberships!! There are plenty of users upset about the direction this app is headed but you guys literally don’t care at all. I seriously feel like nothing will be done until people stop giving you 4 star reviews. Pinterest is way easier to use anyways

I’ve been using we heart it for as long as I can remember , I lost all my folders, my profile, my posts, and my mutual friends on the app, my articles and other things. Honestly super upset about how much time I spent on the app just for all my data to be erased, I can’t even search things up it’s just endless scrolling on content that Im not even interested in. I decided to delete the app and move on from it unless they do something about bringing back our profiles and folders with the things Ive been loving for years, I don’t care about downloading my “content” from the desktop website it should have never gotten to that point where you delete peoples profiles and folders. I can’t believe that it went from being such an amazing app with many things to do to an editing app, who ever came up with the idea to make it into an editing app has to be fired 👎 it was WE HEART IT for a reason not WE EDIT IT you’ve completely ruined a perfect app that many people loved and made it completely useless and boring in a matter of seconds , I hope that many people who feel the same way are no longer using your app because honestly it’s not even usable anymore.

I won’t usually give poor feedback, but I’m in hopes that if enough people send their frustration, the developers of this app will get a clue, but it’s obvious ethical standards aren’t a high priority for their company. For this reason , I also don’t believe they’re including all of the bad reviews in their near 5 star rating. At some point, it has to occur to them that they could be making a lot more money with a few minor changes that don’t force subscriptions. I won’t use this app at all anymore, and I know there are many people that feel the same. People don’t respond well to pushy, tricky, shady tactics. They don’t jump on board when they feel forced or coerced. If We Heart It insists on sticking to the changes they’ve made and don’t listen to their users, it only confirms their intention to maximize their earnings with unethical behavior, labeling images as their own when they are not, preying on people who subscribe out of frustration or simply because they have no time to call them out and help make a change, and they will continue to prey on those people by increasing costs and restrictions to offset their loss of customers as time passes, so if you’re subscribing to that plan, good luck to you!!

Hey, I’m a fellow user of ‘WeHeartit’ and I absolutely love this app! It’s so fun! However, I am having one main issue. I’ve had this app for a while but it’s super laggy/glitchy whenever I go on it. I’m not sure if it’s the app itself or if it’s my mobile phone. I am an Apple user but I tried everything I could to try and solve the problem. Nothing has worked so far. I tried restarting my device, closing all other apps, deleting my themes, etc. It seems like this is only a problem if you’ve had the app for a while. I remember having an old account on another device and it worked nice at first then the issue started after a while. It did the same with this one. I’ve tried just ignoring it but it’s too annoying to handle anymore. Again, there’s no way that it could be my device. It’s got to be something with this app. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about this app. It’s one of my favorites but I have now switched to another app due to this problem I’m having. That’s why I feel like ‘WeHeartit’ only deserves three stars. I hope this gets fixed eventually.

This new update has completely gutted everything that made WHI special. Like many others, I’ve put years of work and creativity into this site and I have almost 30,000 images I’ve collected over 7 years. WHI was a unique community and Im hard-pressed to think of another site that will fill the gap left behind. Hopefully someone else will see that there is a market for a similar app and make something better that we can use. But for now, WHI is a shell of its former self; just a bootleg Instagram with uninteresting podcasts made for the NPCs of society. There’s no way they thought this would go over well with the community, and I assume they know about the backlash considering their Twitter and Instagram accounts are private. Cowards. I tried to go to my homepage feed after the update, and it looks like a bunch of generic spam images posted by bots, not the usual things I see from accounts I follow. The current WHI audience doesn’t want this, not sure why they’re self-sabotaging like this and essentially giving the middle finger to their loyal community. As a former premium member, I’ll never be supporting these soulless capitalist ghouls again.

Although this app has a lot of cool features that make it look nice and help folks make it their own, as a person with a significant vision impairment, I found the user experience to be stressful and exhausting. Although the pictures are big and (simply) splashy, the fonts are either too light in weight, too light in color, too small or all of the above. People with impairments in their vision need fonts with steady heavier weights and darker colors because they offer the contrast we need to help us see! Sometimes even a mild change in the fonts weight or color can help us A LOT. There was also not enough contrast on the buttons, and not having predictive text on the tags as well as a small area to type them in was a stress as well - even on the iPad where there is much more screen real estate, I’d stop using the app and feel eyestrain or have a headache. Oh well! Like I said, this was a fun app to try. And it does have a lot of cool features for folks who don’t have to be concerned about the same things that I, or others with vision loss, do.

the app overall is amazing but on numerous occasions I’ve tried to log in on my iPad and in the middle of me logging in it’ll go right back to the homescreen/ first page for log I’m in the middle of me putting my passcode in. ive logged out on every other device assuming u can’t log in on multiple accounts and it still doesn’t work. another issue is that i recently tried to log in on my iPad and i had to change the password because it’s not letting me log in even though i know for a fact i had the correct password. after i changed it, it still wouldn’t let me log in saying “incorrect password”. one last thing, i keep editing this review, i exited the app because i figured it just needed to be restarted, i open it and I’m logged in, just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, i tapped on one of my hearts and it logged me out of the account. i’m planning on not using we heart it anymore. now that I’ve logged out on my phone trying to fix the problem, it’s not letting me log into my phone either. if i don’t get a response to how this can be fixed I'm going to have to upload all of my we heart it images to Pinterest and quit WHI

Let’s get straight into the issue: the watermark. I have been a user since pretty much the creation of the website and I have never really had problems with it nor with the app, and if I ever had those were little bugs which i would ignore, proceed to close the app, come a few hours later and problem fixed, so i would never rant about them because it was not worth it. the app was great and it made its function: a site for different communities to upload pictures, make collections, fav them and make them “goals”-like, all for free that could be downloaded by others. that’s why i find it unfortunate that in a manipulative way the company (or the owners or anyone behind this) is asking for a subscription to get rid of a watermark, as if the photos uploaded from the users were of the company’s right, i find it a violation because it’s appropriation. memes, fanarts, stories all of those are being uploaded to the site without any income for the creators, the creators won’t have any money for you putting the watermark on their pictures. it is not ok.

don’t get me wrong. i absolutely love WHI. i use this app to help with character mood boards with stories and just inspiration in general. recently, a weird clicking noise has been playing every once in awhile while i’m on the app. i don’t know what it is for or what the point of it is. i also don’t think it’s just my phone because other users have reported this happening. just a few minutes ago i was browsing WHI then all of a sudden the clicking noise played and then a video popped up and covered my whole screen. the video was a porn video. it was very disturbing because i couldn’t close out of the video. i never watch porn or anything like it and in fact i am strongly against it. this is very disturbing and frustrating. it could just be my phone but if it’s the app i believe that it should be fixed immediately. i also really wish we could write articles from our phones! i would use the app way more after these things are fixed and if we could write articles on our phones!

I cant even log into my account after the new update. I try to log in and it tells me to log in through google instead which I try to do and it redirects me to google and then it crashes. So i’m just unable to log back into my account and it won’t let me make a new account. And even before the new update, I was not enjoying the app as much as I used to. I do not appreciate getting an ad everytime I download a picture and then on top of that having to deal with the watermark. It doesn’t matter if we get 10 free pics a day without the watermark, those pictures do not belong to you in the first place so why do you get to place a watermark on it? This app used to be so much better without all the millions of ads and watermarks. You are just trying to force your users to buy the membership. Some people don’t have the money to do so and you need to be considerate of that. I promise you adding millions of ads and watermarks will not make users buy the membership but instead drive them away from the app altogether, like myself. And now I can’t even get back into my account? Do better.

Lately, when I use WHI, I will try to post an image and put it into my collections, but the image will not show up on the thumbnail of my collections after it is added. Next, the number of likes is very inaccurate on posts. It will say that there are hundreds or thousands of likes on it, when in reality, you press on the number and it shows less than about 50 people who have hearted it. Also, I understand that you guys need to have ads, but there are too many. Any time I am scrolling through my feed, they always end up taking over my screen, and any time I download an image, I have to wait for the ad to finish. I wish the app could go back to how it used to be a few years ago, because now you find a nice image, but it has the watermark plastered on it, and there’s ads everywhere. Not everyone has money to pay for premium and I hope you can fix these issues.

Lol, soooo a lot of people cannot see their notifications any longer. If you delete the app and reinstall it, you still won’t see them. If this is a way to get people to upgrade, you’ve done a huge disservice to your customer base and see you later... because now it’s just a pointless app and based on the way you’re responding to everyone’s feedback with a copy and pasted generic response of; “Due to high demand blah blah blah...” I’m good, you don’t really care about customer feedback just money and I’m not mad at you for that, I just won’t use the app anymore. After all we still have Pinterest and Instagram and there will be another app soon similar to WHI and you will have lost more overall in the end. WHI is a pretty cool app but as some have said, this app is used by a lot of teens that can not afford to purchase your upgrades. Please do not waste time with responding to this review with the same general one you send to all reviewers. It shows how much you really do not value customer feedback or service and it’s rude and inconsiderate. Peace!

I understand why ads are included for downloading our “10 un-watermarked pictures a day,” but I do NOT appreciate being bombarded with a random ad as I’m navigating through the app normally. I have been a devoted and engaged user on WeHeartIt for years, and I genuinely love this app. I understand you all as a company must make money, and because I believe in this app so much, I have stayed through what I understand has been a change in leadership and thereafter a change in the structure of the app. I’ve dealt with it all, but one thing I cannot stand are ways to extort money from your users indirectly through annoying and random ads. Please take these away. I love this app and it’s users, and I really truly want it to succeed. However, I WILL stop using and recommending this app to my friends if the way you deal with your users does not change.

to the makers of this app, you have erased all the hard work of not just me, but many other people. all our photos are gone. this app was once for the aesthetic creators, not you have kicked us out and feeling abused. many of which paid for your services in the past. it’s with great disappointment that most of us will be deleting your app all together and switching to Pinterest. your new business is losing a large majority of your customers. all the time I took out of my life to spend on your app has wasted years of my time. I hope you understand this is the worst thing you’ve ever done to your company. if you refuse to change it back, you will surely go bankrupt from losing your top audience. as a 21 year old, probably in your new demographic, you failed. nobody wants your podcast or editing we have bettet alternatives for that. your app had a special purpose and you’ve now made it useless, good job. I really hope you come to your senses and fix your wrongs. you really messed up, it’s time to change it back.

i have been using We Heart It for quite some time like i’d say a good four years. i am not a fan of these ads but i understand and that apps have ads regardless of i may like it or not, but what i say could be improved is the layout. the layout of the app looks quite crowded, and the search page is just me scrambling to scroll without tapping an ad. suggestion: instagram has their explore page similar to We Heart It, and it would be easy having a more open and less crowded screen. i hope this makes sense and i love the whole app overall and i don’t plan on leaving it any time soon, im always recommending it to others and they’ve grown to love it as well. another thing is that messages page, you guys should make a thing where you can clear your messages i’ve had some for over a year and it just bothers me having them there.

This “update” is absolutely, positively horrible… terrible. Like downright disrespectful. Was your goal to lose all of your users? Well you succeeded. The app has downgraded to an app that looks like its from the early 2000s. The search bar is gone, my collections are gone, hearts, profile the list goes on. And to make matters worse all you left us with is crappy old photos & a stupid photo editing app. Don’t even get me started on the podcast section… again why? Everything, everyone loved about the app, gone. WE CANT HEART ANYTHING in weheartit? I just don’t get why they would downgrade to this horrible version? I’m truly baffled. I’ve had this app for 10+ years & loved it. I buy the premium subscription every year b/c I can’t deal with the ads. Well as soon as this happened, I deleted the app off my phone. I mean its so bad, its unusable now. Would give zero stars if I could. Its honestly really sad what you did to this app, because most people won’t be back even if its fixed. It did not need fixing. This app used to be really popular and I had discovered it years ago from Tumblr. On the older versions there were no ads and uploading images didn’t come with a watermark. Since the app had a data leak some years ago my account that I had for years had gotten hacked without me knowing, I contacted weheartit and they chose not to give me back my account when it’s evident that it’s hacked. It’s pretty dissapointing when I put years into an app that my mini blog was also important to me. This app should definitely have stronger security measures such as logging in with face ID or two factor verification to prevent this. I made a new account but so many ads pop up it’s almost hard to enjoy it anymore. The good thing I will say about the app is that it is still good to use for inspiration and has nice images. That is about it, but I do not find the app as fun anymore especially since my old account is hacked.

It’s a shame to see this app go downhill because there’s nothing like it. However, watermarking photos you don’t even own and forcing ads on unsubscribed users is excessive. I can’t even scroll on the app anymore without activating an app or a reminder to get the in-app subscription. It’s ridiculous that they are charging for us just to save pictures, and they clearly do not care about their users given that they paste the same generic excuse every single time someone complains about their frankly ridiculous subscription. WHI, while you have added 10 watermark free downloads a day, we shouldn’t even be restricted in the first place. Get to know your audience—young kids and teens that cannot and are not willing to pay. You are losing your audience to Pinterest and better apps. It’s a real shame to write this because this is an app I’ve had for over five years, but I can’t stand for what the developers are pushing onto its users. And if I get a copy-pasted BS response from the developers under this review, we will truly see how much they care about its users.

I have used WHI for quite some time now, and it has always been my go-to for finding images. It’s pretty easy to navigate and overall, it’s decent! However, the recent updates have become quite harder for me to save images. Personally, I don’t mind the ads too much. The recent update, however, (where there will now be watermarks after a certain amount of downloads) has been quite a nuisance. I know the team at WHI are trying their best to make the majority of people using the app happier, but it is not enough. Although I cannot speak for the whole WHI community, I know that I, along with many other users cannot afford to pay the premium. In addition, the app has become buggier. I don’t really know if it’s only for me, but it has crashed most of the time when I’m attempting to save the image. I love what the app used to be, but I think I am going to find another one. WHI will always have a bit of respect in ‘my heart’ but the recent updates have made the overall experience decrease.

Honestly, there is nothing bad to say about We Heart It. I have premium, so obviously I really have no complaints about the ‘lack of free content’ or whatever. I enjoy the fact that it’s not social media in the typical sense of the term. You can download/save other users’ photos, but you can’t comment, or really do any real social interaction besides follow people and their collections. It’s a great app for storing photos, as well as just expressing yourself and your interests. We Heart It is one of the few apps that I go onto everyday, I find it to be very user-friendly and just fun to use in general. It’s a much better alternative to Pinterest in every way, which I know some people will disagree with. But overall, We Heart It has a better design, better way to save photos, and it feels more personalized. Definitely recommend to anyone.

okay so im mindlessly scrolling through the app and music randomly pops up but no video for an ad is no where to be seen. me being curious to see what kind music was playing, i put my phone speaker to my ear to listen to the music and it sounded like someone was playing the music in a room but somewhere behind them. they were probably watching me through my camera because as soon as i put it to my ear i can hear someone fumbling around to cut off the music. IM PRETTY SURE they saw me listening and got scared. i’m aware that people can like watch you through your phone/computer cameras but having it happen first hand freaked me out. btw this has happened before, music randomly plays in the background but no ad pops up. idk if this can be fixed (probably can’t) but y’all be careful cause that was scary.

My account is logged in through a twitter account of mine. Around three months ago it got locked out so I couldn’t get into my account, but that’s not the problem. I made a new account and everything and it was going fine. Today I got my twitter account unlocked so I logged out of my new weheartit account and tried to log into my old one, but every time I do it takes me to the “log into your twitter” page and when I click “authenticate” it glitches out and just goes back to the log in screen. I thought it was just something with my account since it had just been unlocked so I tried to log back into my new account which is connected through my new twitter and it wouldn’t let me back in, it just glitched like the first time. I tried deleting and re-downloading the app as well as trying to log in on the website and as many different ways as I could but nothing works. I love this app and I make my layouts for twitter on it, please help me fix this :(

I’ve been using weheartit for years, since 2013. It was my favorite app I preferred it over Pinterest! I loved when you went on your own account and there was a collage of your hearts and when you would press the circle in the middle it changed to other pictures you hearted. I miss that feature so much. Weheartit has since downgraded. I still love weheartit but it’s not as enjoyable as it used to be. There are ads like crazy, and they are so annoying. Constantly being spammed with the premium trial thing. What is this why has this app turned so money hungry. Also when you save pictures and after a few you start to get the little watermark. Like first of all how does that even make sense. Weheartit doesn’t own those photos. Seriously Weheartit please fix yourself, you would get so much more traction again if you removed all of these things! I miss the early WHI days. I know so many people do.

I’ve been using WeHeartIt for a few years now and it has been an amazing few years with it. I’ve had no complaints with it at all until the end of 2019 approached. Now, everything costs money. They added watermarks and limits for how many photos we can download. It’s pretty stupid if you ask me. The watermarking system is awful. They watermark images they haven’t even uploaded themselves and basically take others work. Its ironic because you always hear about not stealing work but look what this app is doing. We have to pay for premium which is 100% useless, unwanted and unnecessary. Plus, they added ads that we must watch before downloading images. I’ve never been so aggravated with an app in a while and WeHeartIt just brought it back. I’m very disappointed in this apps development and hope that it’s fixed because let’s be honest, very few people like or appreciate this new thing they have going. Thank you very much.

The app is TERRIBLE. Apparently it restarted or something and now I can't log into my account. I've had it for over five years! I finally invested in a subscription sometime last year and can't access that either. And then in the website, my main use of it, they removed the search bar!! What the heck?? Now I can't find anything I want! I have to change the url every time I want to search for something, and I can barely get that to even work! (I'm no tech whiz so it's probably my fault, but I shouldn't have to do that in the first place!) I've had it and loved it for over five years, and now out of nowhere it's become incredibly frustrating. PLEASE fix this. At least on the website. It won't be the end of me to delete the app. But the website! Pleeeaaase fix the website! That's what inspires me to keep writing! I need to search for visual references to be able to more accurately describe things and this is my favorite way to do that. PLEASE fix it. Please. :(

i’ve been using this app for years mainly for moodboards, aesthetics and so on. i loved it! it was cute, minimalistic and a kind place. what was more amazing was that it was all free, no watermarks, no subscriptions, barely any ads. but i think that the media or maybe even greed? got to the developers because now the app has non stop ads whenever you save an image. it has a watermark which completely ruins the quality of the picture you saved and let’s not forget YOU HAVE TO PAY IN ORDER TO SAVE MORE THAN TEN PHOTOS. the subscription looks very promising but too expensive for my taste. i know you can’t change it back to the way it was before, but i speak for all of us when i say that we heart it lost what made it very special and unique.

I’ve literally never written a review before but felt compelled to now because of how disappointed I am in this new update. While weheartit was clearly not as popular as pinterest became, I actually found it to be a way easier and better formatted to use than pinterest. if the app creators wanted to experiment with something like the current update (no profiles, no searching, no hearting, just a glorified podcast app) do it on a separate app, don’t delete and destroy profiles and collections that people have been building for YEARS, including myself!!! if you’re worried about weheartit falling a bit into obscurity as the years go on, change things like idk graphics or add new features, don’t strip everything that made it great (and a functioning fun app) to cater to a genre that I have honestly no idea what it’s trying to cater to. This was a complete mistake and seeing how they turned their Twitter to private, I hope that means they’re realizing it. Please bring it back!

I’ve been using this app for years and decided probably about a year ago to step up to a paid account. I absolutely loved it. I finally found a place where I could share my interests with others and interact with other people that had the same interests I do. However, about a week ago, my account was blocked. I never hearted inappropriate content and I took breaks in between. Because I love this app so much, I tried to make a couple more accounts to keep up with my interests and friends I made. But we heart it blocked those as well, despite me not even being able to heart many images at all. It’s really unfair that my account was blocked when I followed and respected the guidelines. I can no longer even access we heart it. I just want to be able to get my account back or create a new one to be able to enjoy the app again, as I never promote inappropriate content. I’m about to cancel my subscription. I’m frustrated and I’m extremely disappointed.

I, and many others, have been using this app for years. This app used to be the best for saving photos for editing purposes with the large variety of photos to chose from. When I first got it there few ads and I was completely fine with it because I get it but recently when I opened the app again I suddenly got bombarded with multiple ads, which is extremely annoying. I ignored it and proceeded to save photos as my patience began to shorten with more ads popping up even if I did nothing. The last straw for me was when I saw the watermarks. I personally don’t see the need to add them when so many people used the app beforehand. Now, with this new upsetting addition I feel as if the app has no use anymore. I used this app for the countless photos and NO watermark. With the watermark it makes saving photos pointless. Though I am grateful for the limit being raised up to 10 photos, it’s still not enough. No matter what number it is raised to, knowing that I will soon reach that limit and the photos will be marked is just sad. Hopefully with all the feedback this app is getting, the developers will see the problem and remove the watermark entirely.

Listen I loved this app. I enjoyed using it since it had so many users posting Beautiful pictures that I could use/get inspired by. I prefer we heart it over other sights than Pinterest since it was so user friendly. Now? I can’t even download a SINGLE picture without a ad. Listen I understand ads, but every picture? Then there’s ads below,and above. Plus with the ridiculous subscription fee, it makes it impossible to even use the app as intended. Of course, I’m still using the app, as to me it’s the only app that has a good mobile presence. However, it doesn’t mean I agree with the app entirely. For those who don’t want to be bombarded with ads when downloading I recommend you screen shot. It truly helps with gathering photos in a more efficient way. If this review helps that’s good. And if we heart it responses with there automated response then sure. They won’t listen. They know they got us users wrapped around there greedy finger.

I used to love this app so much but ever since they added a huge amount of ads and now watermarks it’s annoying to use. I get that you need to make money and stuff so the ads weren’t that bothersome to me until it became too much, it was like after every download I had to watch an ad, it’s very frustrating. Now you guys want to profit off of teenagers who are practically broke by making them pay for a subscription to take off the stupid watermark. they aren’t even YOUR pictures so the watermark literally makes no sense, and all you’re doing is saying “we’ve bumped up to 10 water mark free downloads a day!” like that solves anything? I just saw you tell someone that if they like to mass download to try the 3 day free trial which again doesn’t solve anything. I’m not going to pay for a subscription for you guys to claim photos as your own when they aren’t, pinterest is 10x better at this point. Super disappointed.

um yeah, no thank you. this app is now pointless, makes no sense and is literally unusable. the point was to create posts, collections, save images and like others uploads. now there’s no profile, no search button, and the photos on the home feed are nobody i follow and look like pictures from 2014 ?? what’s the point??? nobody wants to listen to your podcasts???????????? this app has been going down hill since you guys started making people pay for a “premium”. literally so embarrassing for you guys, will no longer be using your app. switch to pinterest if you haven’t already. until you guys fix these problems i will no longer be using this app, which i’m sure plenty of others will no longer as well. this is very upsetting considering i’ve been using this app for years, i worked so hard creating all my collections and gaining a following. i used to love we heart it. thanks for ruining a perfectly good app.

WeHeartIt is something I've used since I was 16 to create moodboards/aesthetic collections/archive things I like, etc. I'm 25 now, and still do the exact same thing. I had years of image collecting on my account, as well as paid premium year after year, to see that they've not only seemingly wiped my photos and collections entirely, but ruined the function of the app, and removed the image archive purpose of Weheartit entirely breaks my heart. If Weheartit's team is having problems with keeping the app running, or the amount of images/data, or whatever the reason was, there should have been a warning beforehand that it was going to happen. So we could at least prepare. I am honestly extremely sad to lose all of my collections. I used them for my writing and other projects. :( The last thing I need is another mediocre photo editing app, please return the old function of Weheartit, otherwise I have no reason fo the app.

literally every lovable feature about the app has been removed. no one uses we heart it for the podcasts, it’s for the photos, collections and boards. literally THOUSANDS of my photos that have been saved for YEARS are now gone, along with my collections and photos i posted. i’m actually quite heartbroken as this was one of my safe spaces in social media, but it’s essentially desolate now. you can’t save photos, you can hardly SEE photos, and if you were going to make a change — WHY delete everyone’s photos and boards???? the community that people have built is gone. geniunely, what is the purpose of the app now? to force everyone to move the pinterest? i still used weheartit since it had photos that pinterest did not have and it was easier to access peoples collections and aesthetic boards. but now legit every lovable feature within the app is gone. going to cancel my subscription that i’ve had for years and deleting the app, a sentiment that’s been echoed by several other users. sooooo disappointed. again, what even is the purpose of the app now, and how was this considered a smart move? horrible decision! i guess this is the end for weheartit, great job driving away your most loyal supporters. i would rate it less than 1 star if i could.

Do not even waste your time with their cheap membership. The reason the membership is cheap is because it is virtually impossible to make an account on the app or through a mobile browser. It begs you to download the app, only to recommend you podcasts 5 people listen to and doesn't even bother to have a search option if you want to search for a specific tagged photo. You can't even "sign in" through the app, you have to somehow create an account through Safari or another mobile browser, but good luck signing into it elsewhere, it doesn't recognize it as an account. So you basically just gave the app another e-mail to send spam to. I don't know if I'm catching this app in its dying cycle or what, but it is impossible to actually use it as a social platform and see content you want to see, or find the pictures that led you to the app in the first place.

I discovered We Heart It in 2012 and have been using it since because I loved the features so much! BUT now there is no search bar to be found! How can I find what I am looking for without a search bar? How can I find collections and images without searching them? It’s just random feed. Absolutely ridiculous and disappointing! I re-downloaded the app because I thought it was glitching and I could even find how to log back in! It just wants me to upgrade to premium without even letting me sign into an existing account! This app used to be a place where I could search for specific pictures and find collections of images that people created for all kinds of purposes like fandoms and themes, but now it’s completely useless! I’ll be deleting the app for the first time in years. Hopefully the developers listen and return We Heart It back to its amazing self.

Not sure what has happened with WHI but I am disappointed beyond belief. There are ads EVERYWHERE and the app keeps crashing. You can only download photos with a LIMIT!? This app used to be better than Pinterest to me. But it’s impossible to use now without having to pay a subscription. And it crashes every 30 seconds and I have to restart the app. This is insane and I shouldn’t have to fork out money for a better experience. What happened to caring about your product and the consumer? Putting a watermark on photos that don’t even belong to the app!? I have been a user for YEARS and this is the worst I have ever seen this app. Switched over to Pinterest for a better experience. At least update the app to the new iPhone update, fix the bugs, and cut back on the ads. If I have to watch a add to download or swipe I shouldn’t have to have a limit on the amount of photos I save

Old users will understand this review. We used to be able to download unlimited amounts of images without being bombarded with ads and watermarks. But these days, ever since ‘WHI Premium’ came out, the developers thought it would be a good idea to limit what OLD USERS COULD ALREADY DO, and add it for “premium members only”. I think I speak for everyone using the app that this is unfair. It’s almost as if WHI made their app worse on purpose, so that they could make money off of ads or people who purchase the subscription….which to me, is a terrible way of attracting more users. It’s really a shame because besides the recent updates, WHI is a unique app that a lot of us appreciate for its algorithm but I am very disappointed in what they did.

i like this app! i think this app is good but there are 3 small changes that could really make it so much smoother and better. - whenever i scroll through my profile and click on whatever collection, when i back out of the collection the app takes me straight back up to the top of my profile. if it didn't do this, the experience of scrolling through your own collections would be much smoother without being interrupted by the automatic-scroll feature. - it doesn't save my place on the "explore" tab. if i click off to my profile after looking at explore, and then click back to explore, my place is lost and so is whatever thing i was searching for. id really like it to save my place so i can navigate the app freely w/o being worried about losing it. - the ads on this app are very sensitive. if you move your finger to scroll down your feed, and you swipe over the ad to do that, the ad will pop open a new window. it happens much more often than any of my other apps with ads. without the major ad sensitivity the experience could be a lot smoother for browsing. i really hope the developers read this! i like the app but i'm being serious when i say these changes could make me love it.

I love this app and have spent a long time curating collections and just generally enjoying it. Like most we heart it users I slowly gain followers, and for me using the app is not about followers but about looking at and uploading fun pictures and articles. I have recently started getting hundreds of new followers, and don’t get me wrong, that’s cool, but I have noticed that none of them have any hearted picture or have followers themselves but they’re following sometimes thousands of people. It’s a little unnerving to see this happening since it seems like bot activity. I love this app and will continue to use it but you might want to look into that. I really don’t want my followers to be fake people or bots who aren’t actually enjoying my page.

I’ve been on we heart it for years and loved sharing pictures and as of recently articles too, as well as downloading them. I haven’t been on we heart it lately but when I did decide to open the app, oh boy was I disappointed. They’ve added a feature where you are limited to downloading pictures until they add a watermark to them, and they try to make it better by making it seem like 10 pictures a day is a lot when in reality it isn’t, especially if you’re an editor. Not to mention there are ads everywhere and it’s hard to navigate through the app without running into them and it taking you to an entirely different page. This reminds me of the whole Wattpad situation and it’s sad to see when apps you’ve been on for years and enjoyed so much become fueled by the thought of money and go completely downhill because of it. Sad to say it, but I guess it’s finally time to delete it.

I love this app. I’ve been using it for about 6 months and I think the photo content and articles are amazing features. But there’s not enough social interaction for a social networking app. I have never been able to use messaging on my computer or phone which is really annoying because I want to contact others and I can’t. There’s also the fact that the “hearts” and followers are messed up. Apparently I have 11.9 thousand followers but my articles get 100 hearts if I’m lucky and some of my boards only have 200 followers. Also, sometimes images and articles look like a lot of people hearted them but in reality only a few people really did. I love the app but I really wish we could actually talk to each other and that the numbers actually made sense.
