We are new Wheels Up members this year, and couldn’t be happier with our decision. We flew from Atlanta to Lake Tahoe on July 4th on an upgraded G150, which was a treat in itself. Talk about quiet and ultrasmooth luxury! Add the total professionalism of the extraordinarily considerate crew, the hassle-free convenience of leaving from a regional executive airport 12 miles from our home (with no crowded security lines), hopping right on our plane and landing at another executive airport near our destination (with no baggage claim crowd or wait). Wheels Up is so reliable, safe, luxurious and efficient, it really does spoil you for any lesser travel experience.
There was a little hiccup but was quickly resolved by the local rep. I was able to play with the app and saw all pricing before I sign up. I am really happy about that part of the app. My local rep is pretty cool too. Not pushy and able to answer my millions of questions. I am very likely to sign up. It will have lots of values during this crazy pandemic time.
It’s nearly impossible to find a seat on this app due to the many iterations available for a search. For example, multiple airports within distance of each other will pop up and then you have 15 minute time interval increments to choose from. So a flight could possibly be available 15 minutes before or after the time you initially entered, but the search result will return that nothing is available. Conversely, there might be a flight available at an airport that is only 20 minutes away from the airport you selected. None of this information is available unless spend all day entering different search options. Deleting app…
If availability is low, there has to be another way to look for availability. I have been trying countless times to pull up any flight offering but it is impossible as the app states that there is no availability. It’s fine to be busy, but at least provide a flexible search method or ability to look at availability routes, routes that need to be booked, etc… Not only would this increase bookings but it would end frustration. I never was able to find a flight to book so unfortunately, I’m just as in the dark as before signing up.
Been through a few private/semi-private travel programs. Hot flights, hot deals, token travel, shared flights, WhatsApp groups and more. Wheels Up is the real deal and allows you to travel private for a fu@knig fraction of the price you’d normally pay. Anyways, join or don’t join. If you don’t there’s more deals for me! Btw, we’ve already booked a place in Tahoe through their “hot nights” and it was about 25% of market cost. Legit.
Wheels Up has been a trusted travel partner for us. They respond quickly, go out of their way to make our travel plans comfortable, easy and safe. The pilots are professional and personable.
For the last two weeks when I search for on demand charter flights as a non-member I see a message saying that there is unprecedented demand and that I should email them. What is the point of the app for non-members? I can just book an on demand charter flight with another app from a different company.
What an absolute pleasure to hop on Wheels Up w my wife and two dogs! We commute from Clearwater to Asheville & back often and love it! Members since ‘15
This is a very poorly run company trying to be the UBER of private aviation. They missed- low quality planes, bait and switch pricing, way too mechanical issues with days long recovery times- couldn’t be happier we left for another service. The stock is a short.
I have used wheels up 10 times and every time there is an issue. No wifi on planes, long delays, inability to land at correct airfield. Why fly private it’s a total hassle.
App consistently crashes, changes times without warning, and won’t provide pricing. Says international airports are closed during the middle of the day. App is not debugged and ready to provide premium services.
Perhaps I am doing something incorrect but I have tried searching for flights on five separate occasions and always nothing availing after repeatedly messing with search parameters.
Why would I pay $200k for a membership if our flight is going to be delayed THREE TIMES?? Waste of money so far. I’m looking into better options such as Skyshare.
Virtually impossible to get a range of what a private flight cost. An exorbitant amount of energy to enter all the data requested to end up nowhere. Waste of time.
This app is great if you want to save money... apparently there are no flights between LA and DC... apparently anytime in the next 4 months. Waste of time.
Ironically, the Hot Flights were great. A whole private jet for $300 or less going to a city you may have friends, family, or clients in. Then you can book a jet back or fly commercial. But when I booked and paid for a round trip flight chartered flight, the service was horrible. The responses I received were sent at 2am, and always outside of business hours as if the team is out of the country. Then they told me that my flight could be 3 hours early, or 3 hours late each way. Umm, I can fly delta for that! Then they told me about extra fees due to the peak travel day, but peak days are notated in the app and this day hadn’t been updated, so this was news to me. Then when I agreed to the extra fees of $1,000 per leg, it was never confirmed. I then reached out to the Monarch Group and a concierge named Zack found me 4 options for my trip. The plane equivalent to Wheels Up’s plane was $5,500 cheaper. I was also given information on several planes and other options to help me save money while still being offered the highest safety rated planes in the industry. I cancelled my flight with Wheels Up and it was only then that they responded immediately vs at 2am. But no info was given about the timeline for the refund of the $$,000 I’d paid. After a few business days, I wrote in about an update or any info on the refund process. Then after business hours, I was notified that accounting will reach out to give me an update. I’ll see if they honor their refund policy. I have a flight 3x the cost of this coming up, but I surely will not be using wheels up after this horrible service. I’m shocked that a person can spend this much money and be ignored and not given clear feedback and prompt updates. I see a lot of 5 star reviews and I’m guessing they are real, but I wanted to share my honest feedback because everyone should be treated with respect when spending this type of money for convenience and safety while flying in the pandemic, or any time.
Request an account page doesn't even work. Sign up functionality is broken. It tells you email isn't associated with an account. Duh, I'm trying to sign up. The only option is to call or fill out a massive form. Lame. Could be the next uber for aircraft, but terrible user experience. Deleted.
