Workers made this place!
Keep in mind we don’t spend much tome in our room when we travel to a resort like this so room amenities are not that important to us. We don’t even turn on the TV. The room was clean and comfortable and everything in the room operated well with the exception of the fridge was not very cold. We had some great experiences with the staff, Armondo at the pool, Carlos and Marcos in the buffet took great care of us! They remembered exactly what we drink and kept us supplied with our favorite foods and drinks. They each took time to talk to us and answer questions we had. We became friends with them in just a short time it was hard to say goodbye. The food was great and we could always find something new to try. I know they have a sales pitch for the club but it was not required and no high pressure or being bothered constantly. We had no difficulty booking dinner or finding a chair near the pool each day. We would definitely return to this resort. Again, a great BIG thank you to Armondo, Carlos, and Marcos!

Overall alright
Pros: majority of friendly staff , pina colada restaurant staff and food was amazing. We tried all but best was Pina colada restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Reservations preferred but they accommodate walk in if light guest. Coffee shop was perk. Evening at beach the lighting set was beautiful. Lots of opportunities to encounter turtle laying egg, sunrise pictures and romantic dinner at the beach Cons- when u call from international to confirm your trip- bad customer service . Room was not ready so we were given what was available but they messed up my room from ocean view to Lagoon. Some issue with the travel agency and hotel communication. I called both and neither could fix it. Concierge were over all good except one person she was very rude but could be coz it was end of the day. Worst buffet but good when you have kids I guess. We ate once but immediately we went to each at pina colada later that night. Snack area had limited sitting due to which I was not able to order myself and I had to wait for the waiter but they were super busy so I was asked to come later. I didn’t mind standing and eating but that was not an option. Be aware during check in , the lady keep saying no this is not time share and use a different word but at end it was and ask you to buy. I had to decline several time until I had to be rude so she could just let us have our room key. 2 hours of waste of time on that conversation to buy timeshare.

Not all it’s cracked up to be
From the time my husband and I arrived, we were bombarded by a woman that said she would check us in but had us sitting for 45 minutes trying to get us to listen to a 90 minutes presentation about their timeshare or what they calm VIO members club. ( so annoying, people’s time is limited on vacation and don’t want to sit through a 90 minute which turned into a 2 1/2 hours presentation). The drinks were watered down, we asked for absolute and they told us that was for the VIP members. ( At an all inclusive, ALL guest should be treated like VIP) we had to keep tipping for good service. They serve little portions of food, you keep having to ask for more. Food was not authentic we never got one taco. They were unorganized we were told that we need a covid test 72 hours before our flight back to the US, charged us $20 per test and no one ever asked to see the test. We also thought that this would have been set up at check in. We had to ask numerous time about getting this done. Along with the transportation back to the airport. We also got sick from drinking the water, had diarrhea for 5 days. DONOT DRINK THE WATER. We had bottle water in our room, however when dining they give you tap water. Horrible experience We will not return.

Omni a home away from home!
There are no words one can use to describe the feeling you get when you stay at Omni Resort. The staff is cordial, welcoming and always there to make sure you have everything you need. The resort is kept so clean. There is never litter on the ground or a hand print on the windows. The beach is groomed everyday and is so beautiful. When birds decide to drop in for a visit (I must say that is rarely), Omni Resorts have a hawk that chases them away. I am a critical person and can honestly say I do not have one negative thing to say about Omni Resort. Even during these trying COVID-19 times I know that I will be safe at Omni Resort. I absolutely love the staff in the VIP room. It is the best money ever spent. I highly recommend Omni Resorts Cancun. You will not regret staying here and will leave with lasting memories forever.

Worst vacation spot in Cancun
If your interested in sitting at a swim up bar drinking all day or getting food poisoning from the buffet, this is your ideal vacation spot. From the moment we arrived in their hot lobby with the slowest reception staff around, we should have known this place wasn’t going to be pleasant. My entire family got food poisoning from the buffet restaurant as that’s the only place we ate and was also subject to daily loud pounding from construction work going on right above our floor. Reservation request for adjoining rooms was NOT accommodated and in one of our 3 rooms there was a potentially hazardous bathroom flood with waste and black mold. The clean up crew used straightening bleach and for the rest of the night the room had to be aired to breathe. I could go on with many more inconveniences that my family suffered but note that when asked for a partial refund of the bill the management went silent and hasn’t responded. This review will also be posted on every social media network I can find as well as the Omni corporate office. Beth dlP

Love this resort
This was our 4th stay at this resort. The options for dining and fun are more than adequate. The staff are friendly and eager to please. Views around the resort are beautiful. This stay we chose the lagoon view and we had a firework display every night. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Divinci’s serves excellent Italian. This was my favorite place for dinner. The sushi bar is always on point and an excellent meal for lunch. The pool side bar was fun “of course”. The pool side bar grill makes great burgers. We got a cabana for one day and loved it. So comfortable. The champagne and seafood plate was perfect. I would recommend this resort to anyone and will go back for a fifth time.

They need to step up their game and most definitely their food!
Just returned from my third time there as a members guest. The quality of the food has gone down hill and the choices are ridiculous. With Covid going on they only have one restaurant open a night and the buffet. Three out of the six nights my digestive system was messed up. If you are going to have attire rules, enforce them. The staff is amazing and they do the best they can with what they have, they are positive and work their butts off to accommodate you. They also do their best to make the place look good. The rooms are comfortable but the fridge definitely isn’t good for keeping things cold (we learned to order an ice bucket and put it in the fridge to make things colder). Definitely needs a smoking area outside and to make the rest of the area non smoking. Enjoying a sunrise from your patio and having cigarette smoke send you back into your room is quite frustrating.

Ok
My husband and I were there three years ago and then again this past week. We both felt that The resort was better three years ago. You advertise having four restaurants but, this time, we pretty much had one option for Lunch-as far as restaurant goes-and really three options for dinner because it was impossible to get into the Italian restaurant even trying to reservation right at nine. The Brazilian restaurant was excellent, but the others not so much. The staff is kind and excellent, but having one person in each bar is absurd. It always took too long to get drinks. Finally, it is very apparent to everyone that the staff favors the American guests, which is pretty sad. I always do my best to Tip the staff well because they are kind and amazing, but it saddens me to see how they treat us differently.

Hard to find lunch options and dinner reservations
I have been to this resort for 6 times in last 10 years and had always enjoyed the flexibility to go at any of the pool or sushi grill to order food and sit and eat wherever I want. Not anymore. If you are it seated at the bar, you cannot order food. The number of table at all these food places are very limited. Once people grab those tables, they sit there for hours. I could not make dinner reservations at any of the restaurants as they were all taken for next two days. Very disappointed with these changes and having to scramble to figure out how I am going to get something to eat. La Paloma is also not open for lunch either. I am not sure if I will come back to this place again.

Wonderful resort!
This is our 4th visit to Omni and we can’t say enough good things about the ambiance, the goodness of the staff, the eagerness to please the customer and the friendly, homey environment. It is clean, well kept, upgraded and changing with the time - in a good way. There is a show every night, activities in the daytime and just a dynamic, young and healthy ambiance. We will come again.

Experience
The food is a big disappointment. They have 3 other restaurants which need bookings, which is not kid friendly. There is only one hour window 5-6pm for your family with a kid to eat in one of those restaurants. The restaurant “Paloma” needs variety of food not just cakes for dessert. I wonder what they put in their alcoholic drinks, it’s usually plastic bottles without label. The draft beer they give on a 10oz plastic cup tastes like water. We brought our alcohol from the Oxxo (convenience store) down stairs. I saw other people did the same. They put 2 beers in the room fridge, and the fridge barely work. Lol. The hotel staff doesn’t provide any info or they just ignore. Seems like they are just tired of being there. At last, spent couple hundred more and find another hotel.

Terrible
We were instructed to use it for pre-checkin. Didn’t work AT ALL. The app barely loaded. Still unable to check in even after we got our room. A lot of the accommodations are said to be easy to access with the app instead of having to call or talk to them in-person. However, the app crashes often. When it is able to function a bit, it takes 10-20 min just to upload the menus. In every aspect, it’s very useless. Whether this is the hotel’s or the franchise company’s fault, it doesn’t matter. Someone needs to take care of this sooner. This is frustrating me so much that I’ve determined that Omni is no longer a dependable brand to have for quality vacations anymore.

Disappointed with new management
Definitely disappointed. No coffe makers in room, no alcohol / beer in room. Costs extra to have beer in room No room service. Housekeeping ignored requests for extra pillows. Only 2 of 5 restaurants open daily and you must have reservation. At breakfast there were no plates for buffet. Then you must wait for the only 1 server for entire restaurant to give you food. Check-in was a nightmare. App required for resort. You input all your personal info. Plan on taking an hour to get room key. Some of the pool areas now are roped off for timeshare people, so plan on leaving your towel on the ground. And did I mention only 2 of 5 restaurants daily for food... if you make reservation. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Awesome time!
Our trip was good. This is our 3rd time coming. Food was pretty good. Especially steak house and sushi. Martin at the swim up bar was amazing! Gilberto and Gustavo were great too! Would like to see more activities but overall we were very happy!

Sick All Weekend
My wife and I got sick after the first night eating at the resort. We were miserable the rest of the weekend The concierge doesn’t accept request for dinner reservations before the day of dinner. Therefore we missed out on 2 night to eat dinner. Very inconvenient. The bar staff and check in desk staff were extremely nice. But the buffet cooks and the room service staff were rude. They acted like we were not welcome there. I did not appreciate their demeanor. I will never return to this resort. It was old. Sub par. And not very customer friendly.

All around great vacation

Not a great stay
We along with 3 other couples spent 8 nights at Omni. First the buffet downstairs, couldn’t get coffee or even water without going and finding it. And most people would like a simple bacon and eggs breakfast. My wife called what they had mystery meat. We also ran into some rude staff. Unheard of in the service industry. And finally sitting through a high pressure sales presentation, our fault because we stupidly agreed. Warned some other folks to run! Bottom line we won’t go back

Beautiful
Everything is beautiful, clean and we feel safe. Pools, beach, and grounds are incredible. Only complaint are the beds are not comfortable and sheets are like sandpaper. Would definitely come again but would bring my own sheets.

Terrible!!!!! 6 years in a row! Will be our last!!
Waited 5 hours in the lobby to get a room issue that was never resolved! Terrible customer service! If your not a member dont look forward to getting served! Only one restaurant open!! Have had 5 amazing experiences at the Omni, but this will be our last year! Buffet food & drinks are mediocre! If you want quality food & drinks you have to go off resort!

Horrible management and customer service
I have never been to a worse all inclusive resort! Management were rude. If you had a complaint, they didn’t want to hear it. Had it in for children! No where to get food 24-7. If you did use room service it took FOREVER! Not many activities around pool. I’ve been to much better places! I’ll take my money elsewhere.

Cancun Sabbatical
I spent part of my sabbatical at Wyndham Grand Cancun All-Inclusive Resort. We had a fabulous time relaxing on the beach sipping on delicious drinks served by the best waiters. The massage was top notch. We enjoyed endless buffets. We will be back.

Very nice hotel, delicious food, friendly staff. The only thing I have one concern; after 10:00 pm some hotels guests make loud noises and was difficult to have nice rest. I did make several companies, but nothing was done to control unrolling guests. I hope management take this construction criticism seriously and fix the problem. Please, you have nice place don’t ruin it. Thank you,

Discrimination in the Paloma Restaurant
Poor customer service, definitely not a 4 star hotel have been here less than 24 hours out of 6 days and want to go home already. Do not go to Paloma Restaurant major discrimination!!! Will definitely NOT recommend this place!!!

Not all restaurants are available
Everyday we tried to get a reservation for the Italian restaurant- no luck always full. Found out why - only open for members. All Inclusive is not a member yet it is listed as an option. Very misleading and disappointing

Worst hotel ever
Their restaurants are ALWAYS full. Their employees send you on a wild goose hunt just to avoid you. Don’t recommend this hotel whatsoever. Cancun has way better service than this place 👎👎

Online reservation system always shows no availability, but restaurant tables show otherwise. Online system opens at 7:00 AM. By 7:02 AM there is no availability. Inefficient system.

So unhappy
Dirty rooms. Smell of mildew throughout entire hotel. Management(Daniel) suggest a free bed on the beach due to dirty room instead of compensation. Awful experience. Will not ever return to this hotel. Food was not good either.
