xTiles: notes, tasks, projects

I heard about xtiles on tiktok and i think its a fantastic alternative to notion. Its very simple and straightforward while being easy to navigate which is a compliment of the ui. I like being able to workshop bigger ideas without being limited to small cards like trello. However the editing capability of the app is lacking, for example you cant create a board by itself, you have to duplicate a template and edit that instead. Theres so many elements I expect to be able to edit but I just cant. I am an ipad user at heart and I really want this app to be functional on its own. Wishing for more updates in the future to bring the app to its full potential.

The desktop version is great. I’ve used notions and while there are some more powerful features, I find xTiles a lot more friendly and easy to use. With that being said, as much as I’m on the desktop, I also would like to have it accessible on my mobile device. But it crashes almost every time I open it and try to input/edit anything. If the mobile functioning was less buggy it would definitely be a 5 out of 5 stars. But the user experience when on mobile is a big issue for me personally.

It's a great app to help take notes, organize a project, or just have a brain dump.I really like the format of the app it's very unique and it's useable on my laptop, phone, and tablet. I also love the fact that you can easily add anyone to work with you on a project I've used this app for doing a lot of projects and it never fails. Another thing I like is how you can change the size of the blocks if you have to quickly jot down notes it's a great app to keep your notes organized as well with a super simple interface that just about anyone can use.

I love this app so much but the mobile version is lacking in a lot of features compared to pc. On mobile you can make notes and tasks, but you can’t organize them in your workspaces and into the proper pages of said work spaces. I love textiles, the customization is so simple and easy to do, but it’s lacking in features on the mobile version.

I really love the task feature and it having notifications features on mobile My only gripe with this app is that we cannot edit like we do on desktop because I would really love to be able to see my calendar and revise it accordingly. I would also love if this app allowed custom color coding and as well as little confetti when we complete tasks (it would just be very cute) Great app overall 💗

I got this appthinking it was like Notion, but it’s just a bad version of the notes app. Every line is a separate entity, so when I want to make a checklist, it made me make a checkbox for each individual line. The color options were awful, limited, and too bright. There isn’t enough customization offered. The only somewhat unique/good thing is that it integrates tasks into one page. Overall, don’t recommend. Definitely dont waste your money on a subscription, and honestly stick to the Notes app.

App is great and what im looking for, but im going to wait until they fix the mobile version before I continue to use it. Editing only works on desktop version

Those of us early tech adopters are relentlessly dreaming of apps that combine the best of multiple options. This app is in this category. I'm using it to write articles, draft books, curate research, engage collaborators, and even manage graduate level classes. This replaces at least docs and whiteboards with greater simplicity.

I actually love this app and the desktop page. It’s straightforward, easy to use, user-friendly and just awesome! I’m especially obsessed with the templates. It’s a bit slow to load, but I love its simplicity. I just wish they could add home screen widgets, it’d be so convenient and would make it all the worth while. PLEASE ADD IPHONE HOME SCREEN WIDGETS!!! 🫶🏼

I’m not able to edit on any of my devices aside from my laptop. I’m able to add notes but this at this at work well for iPad or iPhone, which is very disappointing since I just started using XTiles and has become a fan of it. I won’t be moving from notion anytime soon since I do edit a lot when I am out and I don’t take my laptop everywhere I go. Once XTiles updates this issue then I will fully transitioned from notion to XTiles

If you’re looking for a notetaking productivity app that works across multiple systems, this is not it. This does not have a good ecosystem because the mobile/tablet versions do not have editing capabilities. the mobile/tablet versions are essentially glorified viewing portals. If you do most of your editing through mobile devices, but like the ability to edit on all devices, this is not it.

I want to be able to give this a good rating, but it is functionally useless, as I cannot manage or create anything except tasks and notes; it’s nice to be able to view what I’ve already made, but I cannot edit anything that I would actually want to edit. Let me make new projects with a button! Let me move boxes by dragging! All I can do is select text whenever I try to move anything.

i understand that a lot of people like notion, and trust me i’ve used it a lot too, but i find this app is more up my alley in what i’m looking for. it’s much more flexible in comparison to notion and i love how it integrates pictures specifically (i’ve never really liked notion’s way of approaching it, especially when i’m trying to make vision boards). overall, big shoutout to the devs for making such a compact and cute app for stuff like this. looking forward to using it more!

I’m not sure if this has a desktop version for PC, but I can see in other reviews that there’s more customization on a desktop vs mobile which is non existent. You can’t move widgets/tasks, add new blurbs or add in photos like it shows you can in the advertisement. Very disappointing

The web version is nicer looking and more intuitive than Notion. I like the clear sectioning off of groups that makes information easier to look at and the customizability options; very visual. However, the mobile version WILL NOT load my boards AT ALL. Shame, because there is nothing else just like it.

I’m using on my iPad and I require assistance on how to drag notes, charts, table, or etc. Because it’s not letting me do anything besides using a computer.

I just downloaded this on my ipad, because I was recommended to use it from a social media app. I had already tried Notion before but I was looking to try out different apps, and this app is just straight up frustrating. I’m trying to make changes to the “My 2024” thing, and the different pages I was trying to edit, “Main” and “Vision board” for some reason are giving me issues. On “main”, I cannot delete that spotify playlist and link my own!!! Why????? I don’t want that playlist, I don’t listen to those artists, and I want it to be tailored to my likes!! And then on the vision board, trying to attach my images to it, they don’t show up at all!! I can see them when I click on the generic image y’all have to put in the page but for it to be an ACTUAL vision board, I need to see the images I WANT on the BOARD!!!! I don’t know what y’all have going on, but you need to fix it. I’m gonna go back to Notion for the time being because this is ridiculous. Y’alls app is cute and organized, but it’s frustrating just trying to figure this out. I’ll have an easier time on Notion, thanks.

It's a great app; I'm using it daily to organize my work. I highly recommend it.

Love this app on desktop, but it refuses to load ANYTHING on iPad or iPhone. The lack of portable usability makes me feel ripped off for paying for the premium version.

i downloaded the app for easy access but unfortunately it’s not useful if you need to make changes. i like the desktop version tho it’s great! i support the vision! but please get the mobile app up to speed with the desktop version 😢

This app was sold by influencers as intuitive and easier than notion, and that may be the case with the desktop version (I haven’t tried it). But what I’ve experienced with this app is not intuitive, there is no built in intro to features, and the features seem incredibly limited. It looked cool on YouTube but it’s not functional as an app.
