You should revise the app to give the user the option to indicate the apartment number in the description when making a payment to ensure credit is given to the correct payee by the management company. Seven (7) other people live in my building. We all share the same address but everyone in the building has a specific apartment number. Currently the app only reflects the address but no apartment number or the option to indicate an apartment number.
I tried to log in using Google and Facebook but received an error for both but it didn’t tell me what the issue was. Once I was able to log in using my normal email address and password I was able to acces other features of the app. I also wish that the rental payment (a recurring monthly payment) was set to what I owe my landlord and I did not have to type it in every time. Even if my previous payment amounts were used to determine how much this recurring payment should be it would be greatly helpful. I did appreciate that the app presented me with a receipt. I wish I was able to save this to a pdf instead of having to take a screenshot or waiting for an email (which may never be received).
As the customer, I want to be able to view my rent amount on the app more than a day before the draft is set. I get a “bill” in my email from the management company that shows how much, however I’m not able to see that on the app. If the app were updated to reflect the rent amount as soon as it’s available, that would be beneficial. It would also be convenient if the app had a memos section to where I could comment on the apartment number or if I wanted to pay additional rent concessions. I’ve lived in apartments all over the world ,and nearly all of them have extremely convenient rent apps. A simple upgrade to this one would improve it and give it 5 stars.
These fees are CRIMINAL. I cannot fathom why my apartment complex would use this company. I liked the other one so much better but this is just hurting people! 40$?! FOR CREDIT USE?! ARE YOU INSANE?!!! 14$ for “EXPEDITED PAYMENT?!!!” AFTER I already paid my rent?! And then you don’t even tell me what my rent is. Say THAT TO MY FACE 🤬!!! YA’LL JUST AN ANNOYING BROKE MIDDLE MAN. FIRST AND FOREMOST you’re telling me your app cant even give my apartment complex their money on time and then to top it off you want me to pay for your app to do it’s job “FASTER” ?!!! IM NOT GETTING A LATE FEE FROM MY COMPLEX FOR THEIR DECISION TO USE YOU. THATS ON THEM I PAID ON TIME THATS ALL I CARE ABOUT. Mark my words. If y’all don’t stop trying to squeeze your users out of every penny I promise you will be down to your LAST penny. None of your tactics work on me. I swear I hate this app for how SCAMMY it is. It’s convenient if you have a bank account but what if you dont?! Hm?! What if you’re going through hard times?! Or have a strict income?! This is just a slap in the face. The expedited payment part made had me laughing at the audacity. The other app also had a much cheaper fee. I AM BESIDS MYSELF. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND YOU. literally cheaper to go write a CHECK. if I wasn’t getting deployed I would absolutely do exactly THAT!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
This is a buggy and poorly created app. I’ve had it for years to pay for my lot fee on my property and it has made me create new passwords dozens of times. Almost every time I attempt to login with either me typing in my pw or my phone auto populating my pw, it also says “invalid token” randomly and won’t let me login or it will log me out and then tell me my password is incorrect. Most of time time, when I go to create a new password, it tells me “invalid token” when I’m trying to save the password, then the reset link fails and I have to go through the reset process again. This sequence has happened almost every time I’ve changed my password. I just bought a brand new phone and it still continues to do this.
Besides being able to pay your leasing office without seeing them face to face this app is terrible it doesn’t show any electronic billing banking statements except what you have paid is a major let down for a user! Which it lacks with many systematic issues! The high fees for using credit cards/debit cards as well as the express pay is ridiculously high outrageously outlandishly expensive for these times paying the bills should be a decent experience with much more information than what this app provides! You might as well go to a safe way or Kroger to get a money order to pay your bills without paying so much out of pocket like those without legitimate bank accounts too
I love the fact that I can pay my rent online with an app. It makes my life so much easier. But, TBH, the app itself is a little sketch. Everytime I log in it has an error about no info has been found but it logs me in anyway. Once logged in I get in error telling me that no payment information has been found but it appears on the screen anyway. I always get a little nervous using the app. With that said, my payment always goes through without a hitch. I love not having to write a check And because of that I will continue to use this app. I’m hoping they fix the little bugs though.
I had problems at first, then I call my rental office and they gave me a long in number to use. I have to problems with it now. I like it because you can split your rent up into two partial Payments, Therefore today I with start paying my rent in two parts and it will still be on time. My rental office see the money as soon as it post, I know because the fist time I tried the app I called my rental off to make sure they had it. This app make it easy to pay rent, it cost if you using ant debit or credit card it depends on how much you sending. Checking account debit is free and it takes two to three days to come out your account. That is better than a week or two. I have been using for three months now and glad It ‘s trust worthy. I have spoken to Zego representative a couple of time and they was helpful and polite on phone.
My review would simply be about the fee that we have to pay to pay our rent, don’t you think with how bad the situation is now with Covid-19 . Maybe then they would adjust the fee from $3.95 to maybe $1.95 and I probably imagine that more people would actually pay their rent on the website without thinking twice because the price is fare. We are all struggling together.
Can’t log in for weeks now - I am using the same email and password for app and gives me “Unknown Error”. When I use the same credentials on a desktop website there are no issues, so now I bookmarked the webpage in my home screen to make it look like an app. It would be nice to see a “Payment Amount Due” instead of me paying and going back to my payment history, I have a roommate who also uses the account to pay their part. Maybe all the developers are still working from home lol they moved out of their building in Sorrento Valley
I have to PAY a FEE to PAY my RENT?!? Even if it’s straight from the bank, there’s a $2.95 fee?! Before my current property was purchased we used PlacePay. Not only did it NOT charge a fee when using your bank to pay your rent, it also had a way better user interface that established a connection to the experience. It also provided helpful information like MY half of the rent in a form of readable text that signaled whether it had been paid or not, and if your roommate has paid theirs or not. PayLease doesn’t indicate the amount due, unless my landlord hasn’t established it on his end. This app is bogus.
I found the account set up process to be quite easy. 1 star earned. When the app works it is a great way to pay what I owe to my landlord especially since I am currently 1500 miles away. Now for the bad part. Even though I was able to set up my profile and add my bank account information to make the payments necessary and had made 1 payment already the app didn’t tell me what my move in balance is (which would be helpful so I can simply log in pay what I need / want to for the day and still having a running balance remaining) loss of 1 star. Upon attempting to log in with my phone which I set to remember my user name and password with a facial recognition the app is not loading past telling me to log in. It gives me simply a white screen with no loading activity (loss of 2 stars) When on this white screen of death as I shall call it the app doesn’t even let me go backwards to attempt to refresh the connection and move forward. Loss of another star.
Been having this problem. After installing the app I was never taken to the app where you start the process of putting your information to play your rent. Now they don’t recognize my email. Also I haven’t been able to pay my rent with this app. I don’t understand what happened. I tried to change my password but again they don’t recognize me it says resident not found. There is a missing process and I don’t have any idea how to solve it. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.
Total Crap - I would give it zero stars if I had the option
This new app is total crap. When it was paylease it was better and I was able to pay my HOA via that. Now from the time it got upgraded may be a year or so, it always says “we are in the process of upgrading our app” and always redirects me to the mobile web version. Why even have an app when you can’t integrate your login / payment API with the app. You can simply use the mobile web view on the app container or just spend your efforts on just having the mobile web view instead of spending on effort on developing an app that doesn’t even login.
My rent is a flat rate but every few months I have to pay the water bill. Which gets included in my rent. I have to wait until the water bill is mailed to me and do the math manually to figure out what I owe for that as well. Not that large of an issue, but when I pay my rent, I would very much like to see the balance that I owe change. This has caused a recent issue with my land lord as they see that I owe rent this month because “the app says so” when my bank account begs to differ. Also a $3 fee for a tied checking account is a bit lousy.
I find it excellent for setting up my rent on auto pay avoiding having to worry about it each month. Logging in to make my utilities payment, which varies each month, takes only a minute. I also love that it reports our payments to all 3 of the major credit bureaus. Great app all around!
I don’t know if it’s from a update to the app recently but when you enter the amount you are paying the continue button is way to the bottom and almost completely cut off it’s not scaled correctly for the screen on my phone. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
Follow up to issue, customer service representative contacted me an was able to figure out the issue and resolved. Reinstated to 5 stars fir great customer service. Instead I had to set up an auto payment for current month and then will have to figure out how to delete, so that, I may pay the following month.
Sub par customer experience (ZERO customer support) - RentTrack was superior
I thought I was the only one who’s credit took a big hit after my RentTrack (acquired by Zego) account was closed due to the migration. Credit dropped dozens of points at two reporting bureaus. I had login issues trying to use google sign-in, but found finally found a workaround. I could NOT however, find a workaround in getting credit reporting set up. Got an error message saying I was “ineligible” for this feature. Others have reported this issue in the reviews. The app development team responded with an email address to report the issue to, which I tried, but no response yet. Did I mention that I waited for an hour plus for phone customer service, without success? Had to return to work duties and chose the call back option - days later still waiting for a call. A very rocky migration, with ZERO customer support. Bring back RentTrack!!!
Used it when it was simply Paylease and it was fine. If I had issue it was addressed right away. Now with the change I can’t log in. I request new password and it takes hours to get an email so that I can make the change. When I make the change online I can’t use the password on the app. Went through this process multiple times since the changeover and still issues abound. Terrible and a total waste of time. Just deleted this crappy app and will just go with the online version.
For some reason, the Zego app never shows me what my payment actually is, which used to not be an issue since I could just edit the amount myself to fix it. But now it won’t let me do that. My rent is $861 but the app says my payment is only $70 and won’t let me edit it to change it to $861. Ended up having to make two separate payments and label one of them “application fee” all because I can’t edit the “lease payment” anymore.
Shows summary of all items and their total costs before processing payment, takes about 4 days to process payment which gave me anxiety not knowing if it was going to go through on time, and after fulfillment it doesn’t show summary of all items costs. I wish they emailed a copy of each month’s pay stub to keep track of budgeting for all individual items listed on Bill.
PayLease has helped me so much. Instead of going to the office to pay, I can just go on the app and pay. All my information is already there. This has helped me very much and I love the way they have this app to help you pay your rent. Is never easy when you have to go to the office and pay by cash or money order. But on PayLease you can pay with your card.
App is easy to read, page is very thoughtfully laid out…..however…. App needs to be optimized for iPhone 14 or newer models. The “back” button does not work, app freezes and information is not even accurate. I’ve lived in my apartment for 4 months and no payment still has not shown up. App “has potential” but only if you give it potential. Work on it a little more, you’re almost there. And PS: please update to conform to newer phone models.
I feel like if I pay my rent I should not have to pay a high fee for using it literally you can pay $22 for using PayPal five dollars for using your bank card $22 for using your credit card that’s just the processing fee. I feel like that is taking people out of moneyEspecially when you already paying your rent on top of that literally it’s a fee and I don’t feel like the fees should be that high.
Our mobile home park, just recently transferred to this company in doing so they have taken away our opportunity to see and pay our rent early. This is made many of us very unhappy, we would really appreciate and like if we are able to see and pay our lot rents a couple of days early like we used to. We went from using rent track so now using Zigo and this is caused many of our neighbors as well as us to become confused with this company‘s way of handling our lot rent and payments.
I used to use the older version of this app, and while it was functional, it didn’t look as modern as other payment apps out there. Really like the new look and feel. And of course, paying rent via an app is wayyyy easier than dropping off a check (literally don’t even own a checkbook anymore).
I have been using your app ever since Riverbay Corporation introduced it to Coop city residents. I will update my review to the appropriate stars when these problems below are resolved. Of late, logging into the app has become an issue. Problems: a. Zego app cannot recognize my email and password. b. Zego app will not allow user to reset password due to problem “a” c. I deleted the Zego app and reinstalled it. This also proved futile. d. I went to Zego website to login and pay bill over there. There was the same issues. I am using iPhone XS Max with the current or latest IOS update. I will be very grateful if this issues are addressed in a timely manner to avoid late fees and unexpected charges to users. Kindly fix the bugs in the Zego app to enhance user confidence. Thanks
I love this app and the fact that I can make a payment anywhere and at anytime. My only issue is I am unable to see the breakdown of my rent charges for the month. I recently renewed my lease and the total rent has not matched my lease, Conservice statement, or the amount mentioned on this app. But I just calculate the rent myself and confirm with the office by email if the amount is correct.
Easy to use, convenient to have. The only reason for 4 stars is...unable to edit the recurring auto-pay. I have a coupon to change my rent for July. And you can not change the date. It looks like you have to delete and then start up a new auto-pay...that is inconvenient.
When it works it’s a great app and very convenient however this past year I have frequently had issues with the app not working, not letting me log in and all types of error messages . I don’t recall having any problems at all with the app last year but since about June of this year the app has frequent sent error messages . And I’m not able to log in about 1/3 of the time .
I have never written a review about an app before; however, people deserve to know that this app is horrible. I had multiple login issues and it took technical service multiple days to fix it. The password reset function does not work consistently and caused multiple issues on my account. My leasing company even had issues getting an account made in the first place. All in all please avoid this company to the max extent possible.
This app replaced PayLease’s previous app and it is extremely buggy. It doesn’t remember your username/password and never accepts my password. Every month, I have to click the “forgot my password” link and go through my email to reset it, yet still can’t login on the app. I do this several times each month before giving up and using the portal online on a computer. It’s a shame that the an app is not reliable because it used to be so easy and convenient to pay rent using just my phone.
The app works when it wants. When you want to make a payment the continue button doesn’t display. Deleted and reinstalled app to see if that would fix the issue. It worked the first time, after the issue happened again. Tried to do the same steps but this time it didn’t work. Was forced to get a money order to make a payment to my lease. Talking to my leasing office to see if we can use a different app. Wouldn’t recommend
Please fix mobile user interface. After logging in, to click on profile (top left) and/or “payments” (bottom) is almost out of the screen, can’t click on it, which makes it unusable/unreacheable for users. It’s been like this for a couple months now since Ive used it. Sent this complaint to your website for awareness and the response was “to use website” instead.
I just tried to log in & everytime I type a letter the screen shake. After I put my email & password it says it wrong. Also now for yrs I have to log in with Zego only for it to say whatever the screen say then I have to re- log in on paylease. Paylease is what I was using before & it claim they was switching to Zego but it does this everytime. Also I have my credentials saved & it won’t come up on the app but it did when I used the browser on my phone.
I have moved into a new apartment and I can’t pay rent through the app because it is still linked to the old apartment. I’ve “deactivated” that account on multiple occasions. But clearly the fact I’ve done it multiple times, means it’s not really deactivating. I’ve called to have the app company to deactivate and they say they can’t. So I have to sign in on the internet every time I want to pay rent instead of just going on the app and pressing a button.
Every time i want to use the app it refers me to the online website and says we are still working on the app and doesn’t let me log in through the app, since 6 month ago I installed the app. Since then few updates released and still is same. What the point giving out the updates, fixing bugs or adding some features when is not working at all after a long long time that app is on the app store. Don’t release the app untill is ready. So ridiculous.
I was excited when my new landlord said I could pay rent on this app, but it has actually been a major headache. Not sure if the app design is too big for my screen, but I literally can’t pay because the payment button doesn’t populate for me. Let me give you money!!
This app is easy to use and you’re able to access your history and make payments ahead very quickly as well as set reminders. I’m really enjoying my experience in my first apartment with your company keep up the good work.
I think the tenants should have the option to do split payments. I may have all the money in one account. If I need to pay other bills at the same time the rent is due, I should be able to split the payments between two cards. However, the app is very secure and convenient to use.
I guess using a standard payment software for dues isn’t cool enough and we need more junk on our phones. The app itself is fair. When you try to “confirm” your account number it scrolls off the page so you can’t see what you type. Very irritating. Customer service is handled by people in Puerto Rico I believe. While they are pleasant they talk too much, don’t listen enough. They Probably are stuck using a script.
The app is very easy to use, and does the things I’d expect - like being able to pay my lease from the app, or view payment history. It also lists upcoming auto-payments, which is helpful.
They post an amount due. I pay the amount due. Within 24 hours it posts an amount due. So if I pay January rent on January 1 on January 2 it says I owe rent. Dates are immaterial. If I paid every time the app shows I owe money I’d be paid up through 2025. So I just mark my calendar and pay on the date I want and ignore their bullcr@p. My New Year’s resolution is to just write a check and mail it so that their cash flow is impacted. Better theirs than mine.
Overall the app is good, the UI is a little strange but not overly complex. My main issue is that the credit reporting feature will not let me enter dates in any of the fields. I use the wheel and pick the date but when I am ready to continue, it won’t let me hit “confirm”
I have never been charged a fee to use my own personal bank account. Never. If I had known this, I would’ve never chosen to rent at my current apartment. Half the time the app doesn’t work and has glitches and bugs. In a time where so many businesses are getting hacked, I’m supposed to trust you with my personal financial information for a 2.95 fee? Horrible user experience.
Easy to pay rent. Irritated by the fees, but still easy. I also like that it offers enrollment in a program that reports payments to the credit bureaus and help build credit. This was a God send…
I honestly just love this app, it is so convenient to be able to pay your rent right through your phone without having to go into the office. Sometimes the app glitches a bit but all apps do. Awesome app!
