The app is easy to use. I use it daily to check balances, pay bills and deposit checks. I have called support for help when I have been unable to do something. Support was very helpful and patient. It turned out I needed a bigger screen than my phone. The app is better than an app I use occasionally for Css another bank.
Try not to bank here. They are open 8 to 5pm and so is their customer service 1800 number. So, if you work an 8 to 5 you will never have the time to reach them. They are also closed on the weekends. If something happens to your card or if your card gets lost or blocked. You are basically screwed until Monday. I was in LA for a weekend and my card was blocked. I had all my money there. Had to use all my credit cards on this LA trip. I once blocked my card through the mobile app & I couldn’t unblock it lol You can’t use Zelle with them. They charge you a 5.00 just to transfer money from your savings to your checking. Just because THEY Approved your card. I messaged them many times to cancel that feature but they continue to do it. Finally, moved to Bank of America where I can get cash back for many of my purchases.
This app is definitely an improvement from the last app. The only thing that I knocked 2 stars off for was the notifications - they’re not timely and typically come 12-24 hrs after you should be notified. I want to be notified for a reason- a transaction took place that I need to know about. If I want a notification a day after a transaction took place I may as well just log on every day. Defeats the purpose and should be fixed ASAP.
I am disappointed in the response time when leaving a message. Today, after spending 50 mins on-hold, I wrote a message & requested a return call. None have come. Customer service is closed for the day.
In order to photograph your check you must tap the very center of your phone screen. So if you’re gripping the camera with two hands you’re gonna have to change the way you take overhead photos. UPDATE: first united services credit union responded and said they would forward my review to the developer. That was a prompt response not a fix but at least someone’s listening so I gave them one additional star for a total of three
This is hands down the worst experience in mobile app payments I’ve seen. Not sure who the user experience designer was for this app but they missed the mark big time. There are so many great apps that allow account payment not sure why the best practices for layout and design weren’t implemented here. It is not intuitive or user friendly at all. My payment is a month behind only because I couldn’t figure out how to make the payment and with a newborn at home haven’t had time to call!!
Shut down for a week along with all my finances. My credit card was being used for unauthorized charges and I couldn’t do anything about it until the next month..... after they reported these charges and balance to my credit history. This also affected my investments as I couldn’t connect my account to my brokerage and I couldn’t receive Paycheck Protection Program Loan Deposits because the lender could not contact this credit union’s servers... All in all they’ve been extremely unhelpful
I have been a member since the 80s and have liked them so much. Better than any bank I am now living in Texas and only wish we had such a wonderful credit union close . I miss you all.
I did a mobile deposit. Got an email saying received and given a reference number. I look at my account the next day and it says rejected. I call and they had no record of my deposit. So I just tried again. Let’s hope it works.
I don’t understand the purpose of updating the app if it’s not going to improve anything. The app would not work for a week and when I was finally able to get back in (by enrolling again) I was not able to pay my bills by an external account like I’ve done many times before. So frustrating that I’m considering closing the account, it’s always something with 1st United and they’re not even a major bank
Love the easy way to deposite without having to go through so much to deposit but I liked the older method of mobile deposite when the screen turned green when check image was good to take picture.
I have the worst experience with the new online banking. Would not work. Took for ever to get help. Lines at local branch long. If it’s not broken don’t fix. The IT deptment is the worst I have ever experienced. Of all the credit cards I have 1st United’s has been hacked several times. The local branches ATM is not working 3 out of 10 times I try to use. I would not recommend this credit union.
The upgrade was not worth it, especially considering I didn't have access to my account for 5 days. The app is too busy and requires to many clicks to find what you want. Not functional. I wish they had left it alone or tweaked it with minor improvement instead of a whole overall
It used to be so easy to make my monthly car payment but after multiple efforts trying to link my external bank account to the new app I finally had to just take pictures of checks and deposit them. Payments are now late. Requests for customer assistance took forever (days) for response. Nothing user friendly about this. 👎🏽👎🏽
On this new design you can’t set up multiple payments, you have to pay one bill at a time. The next thing, you can’t view a payment calendar like in the old design (Unless, I just don’t know what I am doing).
Firstly, it would have been nice to have been given a heads up that the online banking app was changing and it requires you to reenroll. It seems that I can no longer deposit checks directly into my auto loan account using mobile deposit. I attempted a chat with customer service and did not receive a response.
I have spent so much time calling customer service to correct their errors. Very limited business hours and representatives say they fixed problem but continue to make errors. I am closing this account as soon as I can find time during their limited available hours.
I love 1st United credit union the app is so simple and easy to use, awesome customer service great banking, awesome loans I have a car and personal loan. No problems yet
The “improved” mobil layout is confusing, difficult to find things and cumbersome. These changes are for the birds. The messages function is pretty much worthless, taking as it does several days to receive a reply.
I’ve linked my checking account to this 1st United account and I still can’t make external payments unless I use a desktop. I don’t have access to a laptop at this time. This is unbelievably antiquated.
