Ok, low rating is for 4sight
Transfer are easy, checking balances, and creating recurring transactions/ canceling them. But the 4sight their, spending tracker, is pretty useless. UPDATE: 4sight has now been updated and is a far more useful tool. There are still some suggestions I would like to see such as choosing The style and what you budget. Right now if you had debt the only option they show for suggested pay off is the snowball effect meaning you pay off the one with the highest interest rate first. Where they could do something along the lines of the zero dollar budget, envelopes, Or stash and star method. But overall a great improvement

Mobile app
The app is very nice, I use it almost daily. I appreciate the financial tools and linking to other accounts you’ve added. There are only a couple of things that I struggled with and wished it worked better. The one that comes to mind is the sync in my financial tools, it stopped working and I didn’t receive enough information on why it stopped working to resolve the issue. I spent an hour or so chatting with support, because the support person did not have the resources she needed to help me. We eventually figured it out. It was the two factor authentication token, It would not send to my phone because my husbands phone was listed as primary. So frustrating as it did not give me or the support information this detail. We figured it out the hard way.

Fails miserably compared to the competition
I have accounts with other banks and credit unions and use their apps to deposit checks and pay bills with zero problems. Your “capture adapter” issue when trying to deposit a check through your app has occurred for several years. Complaints at the branch fall on deaf ears and those poor workers hear it all day long. If your customers truly are your priority then why give them a product they can’t depend on that has a problem you are aware of and then do NOTHING about it? We also had an incident of someone trying multiple times to log into our account. It successfully locked us out but we were never notified. Again, is that how you care for your customers?

Bill Pay
I love this app! Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is due to the bill pay portion of the app. There's an option to put in a note or a comment on why you're sending the money, but you can't ever see that again. It disappears and sends you to the bottom of all of your pay people and then ask if you want to send to all. That needs to be fixed.

SLOW
The app used to be good and you could do anything you needed on it, but these last few months it’s been going downhill rapidly! I can’t transfer money from member to member anymore, to open the app it takes multiple try’s to open after continuously timing out. And when you finally get onto the app everything is slow or doesn’t work. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and it speeds up the initial loading for about a day or two then it starts getting super slow again to the point of multiple tries to open. If you need their services without going to a branch I would suggest using a desktop to access their site where I was actually able to manage my account.

Rating the app
I really like your app I just wish you could use it for more than one bank account at the same bank. I know you can link other accounts from different banks and what not but I have two different bank accounts at 4 front and the app will only let you access one of them through the app. If you can link other banks why haven’t you figured out how to be able to put two bank accounts on it from the same bank.

4Front is the best bank!
4Front Bank has been a friend and business partner for many years. I have never had an issue with their bank and they have always treated me with kindness, courtesy, and most of all respect. They are the kind of institution the government should be, and was, founded upon. From loans, banking, jobs, and even life advice 4Front is a light shining on industry. I am always grateful to have business with them and hope to continue to. They have assumed the helm of Bay Winds Federal Credit Union very well.

Works good mostly
App works well for the most part. However logging in is an issue. It will almost always hang and I’ll have to quit and try again, sometimes 5 or 6 times, sometimes I give up and try again later. Other times it goes after 2-3 tries. Other thing is member to member transfer. I’ve tried countless methods of entering info and it will never work. I tried using the app to send a message to the company asking how to enter the information, and months later still never got a response.

Overall I like it, but…
Sometimes it just won’t open, or it won’t recognize the login until I close out of it completely or restart. The menu could be better (move my money?) but once you figure it out it isn’t bad. Deleting 2 starts because it no longer is updating how many times in a month thr debit card was used. Since that is a big part of the StraightForward Rewards account, that is a huge deal. I confirmed it is that way on the iPhone and iPad, so this was an intentional change. Overall I love the CU, but the app continues to have issues.

It's fine
This app used to be absolutely fantastic, but after an update a few months ago, it seems to be glitchy. I usually have to force quit it during sign in 3-4 times. It just loads and loads and doesn't sign in. Once I'm in, it generally works fine. I do love the access it gives me to my accounts in one place, the option to make payments on my credit card, and the member to member transfer features! It would be 5 stars (and used to be!) If it would just work the first time.

Linking an external account.
I have linked an account from another bank (Huntington), and the test deposits have been successful. The app shows my balance and transactions from the linked account, but it will not allow me to choose it to transfer funds into or out of my 4Front account. It does not show as an option in the drop down menus for transferring funds. I had to go to my Huntington account and add my 4Front account as a bill pay option to pay myself, to make a transfer.

I use the mobile application everyday as well as many others this mobile app is one of the easiest and most user friendly mobile banking apps work with.

Very well done
I love this app. It’s extremely useful, easy to use and has so many tools and cool features. It started out good and with the updates and improvements that have been made to it, it just keeps getting better. I can’t remember the last time I went into a branch office to deposit a check thanks to the check deposit feature. It’s saves me so much time. Great job!! Thank you

Useful and intuitive
This is a good app, because it’s fairly easy to use. Lots of features and helpful tips. I don’t know why, but no matter which device I’m using, I’ve only been able to use the check deposit feature about 25% of the time, which is kind of a bummer. Error messages. Bill Pay can be a little clunky, but overall, a useful app.

Time
I like being able to check my account whenever and it’s nice that the pending transaction is there to. Wish the pending transactions would go through a little faster. That being said the fact that it takes a day or two allows me to know If I made the purchase or not and can call the bank and let them know.

There have been multiple times I have come on the app and unlike most other sites, I find the people you text with are helpful and can actually take care of whatever your situation is. I like using the text feature on the app and find it to be set up very well.

Login Slow; FaceID only works occasionally
Doesn’t save or auto fill mine or my partners passwords on either phone, both IPhone11 Pro Max running latest IOS, and logins always force me to close and open the app multiple times before working fluidly. App used to work really smoothly not sure what happened but we’re ready for an update. Update 7/22 finally resolved credit login and app login issues but credit rewards now broken & old rewards lost, do yourself a favor and find another CU.

Helpful app
4Front app is a solid app, it does a good job displaying your account information and lets you access account statements. Parts of it is a little clunky still, although it has improved over time. I wish the credit card page could be accessed in the same place as checking/savings, as now you have to open a new page in order to see credit card details.

Loads slowly
It is difficult to remember banking without an app even though I did it for most of my life. This app is fairly dependable it has days that it acts glitchy and won’t load without closing it and opening again. More often it just loads slowly, but works fine once it’s open.

Love the app but very disappointed when you changed to the only one email per person when it came to monitoring your credit card online. My Lady friend and I use only one email in our house! When she signed up during the change it eliminated me from managing my credit card thru the app. Will Not create another email and put up with all the confusion! Worked just fine the way it was!

Gone downhill fast
I don’t know what is going on but the app is absolutely horrible now. I’ve banked here for years but since 4front took over it’s been one thing after another. If it weren’t for the people that physically work at the branches I frequent I’d be gone as a member. The app…. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded five times now. I’ve called about it twice over the last month. Nothing has gotten better. Nothing has changed. Even the online banking from the computer errors out all the time. When is it going to get better?

One of my favorite devices on my phone I use! Not only can I keep track of my spending and track my expenses, it’s helpful with keeping up with my bills and credit score. Let’s just say, you know where your money is at when using this app and that’s what I dig about this!

A nice app
After having an account with several other banks, I found this is one of the best apps. It is so nice being able to see all of my accounts in one spot. I find all of the virtual banking features to be fairly straight forward and easy to use once I figured out what to do.

A financial lifeline
I really appreciate the convenience of this app. I find it well organized and fast. I prefer todo all of my banking from home using this app for moving money, and making deposits. I use it most for checking if I’m earning the fantastic 4% interest payments which the bank pays on my check acct balance.

Actually very good
I see a lot of bad reviews about it being laggy, and while I do admit sometimes it takes a few times to load up it’s pretty minor in my experience, and only takes away a little bit from the app but other than that it is very useful to check amounts and transfer funds.

If you can login.
Rarely will it ever let you login. I have spoken with 4front employees and ask them about this issue. They asked if I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and “it should work”. This makes it very annoying and frustrating and not all the time does it work. This is their remedy to fixing the problem. I have contemplated closing my account with them because of this ongoing issue. Because as we know when you’re doing your online banking it’s usually needs to be done at that time.

Whatever else I may think about this bank’s customer service, their app really is my favorite part of their user experience. The app is easy to use and understand and I never experience glitches or issues relating to its use.

Check photo app
Love the app. I would’ve given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that the feature where you can deposit a check, via a photo of the front and back, is super sensitive to the point that it hardly even works. Kinda defeats the purpose of an app that’s supposed to make life easier, not frustrate you.

4Front has lost its way
This app is so glitchy, it makes banking a headache, but so does everything else at 4Front. I joined in December 2021, and have jumped ship to MSU Credit Union. They actually have a customer service line with people who know what they are doing and talking about , all based in Michigan. In my short time here, my account was randomly “disabled” and I had to call 4Front, which took almost an hour to reach an actual human who could get my account back online. Also, the branch on South Airport is a mess (figuratively and literally).

The most important option is missing.
It will not alert you when a debit is being made. This means that identity thieves can use my card’s info to deplete my account without my knowledge. I’d have to manually look at my debit history to see if there are unauthorized purchases. All other banks have this. I was told two years ago that this feature would be added “ soon”. Plus, it’s super glitchy. It crashes all the time. It’s one of the worst apps I’ve seen. I have USAA, too. And it’s a much better app.

It defaults to in the amount field but shows the character keyboard. Really? A programmer that has never used the app. Please fix.

Not reliable app but great bank.
Online banking takes too long to update things. I had a bigger bank before and every transaction was immediately taken out so you always new your true balance. 4Front doesn’t do that and it’s hard to keep track. Other than that I love going into the bank. It’s is a great bank, just needs to update technology.

I have found this institution to be very good! Any issue I’ve had they’ve dealt with it expediently and professionally. The staff of all been friendly and professional and I would not bank anywhere else. And I recommend them all the time!

Unfortunate
The 4Front Credit Union app has always worked well for me until the last few months. I have been banking since it was Baywinds but because of the constant frustrations with the app not loading multiple times a day no matter how many times I close and reopen, uninstall and reinstall, Im at my wits end of not being able see my account for my needs. I sincerely hope this app gets fixed soon, otherwise this is a deal breaker for me.

Convenient
I find myself using the app almost daily, due to convenience and ease of use. I have my check automatically deposited and use my debit card almost exclusively, so using the app just makes sense for me.

Needs more features
The main issue I run into with the app is the mobile deposit not working 99% of the time. It’s super frustrating. If there is a function, it should work almost always. I would also like to see an option to add accounts available and auto payments for bills.

Love the app, but at times trying to mobile deposit a check having problems. I get the pictures taken & right when I go to submit it logs out. Very frustrating! I waste my time going through it 10-20 times. Sure wish you could fix this. Other than that the app is great!
