I currently have a one month old which likes to be rocked while breastfeeding which all moms know it’s strenuous especially when we have lack of sleep. He loves it!! Put him to sleep instantly after being fed. Also, the 4moms app was quick and simple. I was able to connect to the Bluetooth quick and easy. I even set up the motion he likes with the sound and was able to pre-save it for him. Thank you aunt Tatiana for this spectacular gift!!
I love this swing so much! More importantly, our baby loves it. The multiple movements and varying speed options are great, very soothing, our baby loves to swing while awake and the rock-a-bye and tree swing setting settings are her favorites for a nap. Being able to control everything from my phone quickly and easily is just wonderfully convenient and the app is easy to navigate. I wish I had one of these with all of our other babies!
At first my son did not like it, until I realize he likes a little more movement. I love how you can change the speed and the music volume as well. Different modes are also a big plus. My son looks comfortable and able to nap in it.
The app works perfectly with our bassinet, however, never seems to work with our swing. Rarely ever pairs and if it does, you’re not able to connect to the bluetooth for streaming music. This is for both my iPhone and my husbands Samsung, so it’s not my phone. We’ve tried deleting the swing and reconnecting it as a new device, deleting and reinstalling the app, as well as followed all the troubleshooting steps on the website. Not sure if maybe we got a return (which would explain the box) that may still be hooked to another account but pretty bummed we’re unable to use the app.
When doing the “show your moves” I thought the Roo would do like a similar movement to what I do with baby when shes in my arms. When I want to play lullabies on my phone to play through the Roo it just never works. Overall a great product but these need fixing.
Lots of optionality on swing motions, speed and sound. Almost always a way to find a setting that keeps our girl smiling, attentive or resting for whatever state she's in. We love it as much as she does.
Great tool but don’t depend on it fully don’t forget it’s important to hold your baby and rock him/her to sleep but when it’s pumping time or you need to shower or eat, use it!
When the app works, it’s great. However, it constantly cannot connect to my device and I have to delete the app, reinstall and reconnect. I have reinstalled the app 8 - 10 times now and I’ve only been using it 2 months.
App requires sharing your location in order to connect the MamaRoo to wifi. This is obviously completely unnecessary. Its simply idiotic location is *required* to connect to wifi. Child product related apps should simply never track location, this functionality should be disabled.
Easy step by step on how to hook up 4moms. I personally love the blue tooth music app being able to play baby music straight to the 4moms baby swing is awesome. Love it.
Son hated it. Has seatbelt inspired straps which kids love -sarcasm. The music is four upbeat songs…great for trying to sooth a baby. You would think the preset songs would be idk… soothing? Not to mention the Bluetooth is always down on their end. Will return
I was very skeptical when downloading this app as all the reviews I seen were talking about how awful the Bluetooth is and that the app doesn’t load or find your mamaroo. I did not have that kinda of experience. I tried to use Bluetooth before downloading the app and my phone couldn’t find the swing until I installed the app then it found it right away I set a nickname for my swing (closed the app and re-opened it) and can now control the motion, speed and sounds all from my phone. I think this app is a wonderful idea and will absolutely come in handy once baby gets here!
This company should really just tell its customers that it doesn’t care about them. Bluetooth does not work despite trying everything. I consider myself very tech savvy, but this device must have been created by some idiot who doesn’t have an engineering degree. Really this company needs to either refund those people who’s devices don’t work or lower the price to under $100. Definitely not worth the price tag… would not buy this product ever again or recommended this oversized paperweight to anyone. Devices this expensive shouldn’t have major issues like bluetooth not connecting. If this was under $100, then I probably wouldn’t mind that bluetooth doesn’t work, but at this price point, bluetooth should be perfect. 4moms is a total rip-off company that doesn’t care about its customers. If it was worse like it hurts babies, seems like 4moms management is the type of management that would spend tons of money to hide the fact their their devices hurt babies rather than spend money to actually fix the issue.
I’m surprised there’s so many bad reviews I connected ours about a year ago never had any issues then I put it away since my baby got to big for it, now we have another new born and it connected like nothing I didn’t even realize I still had the app I don’t know what other are doing wrong or right but for me it was pretty simple.
Just downloaded this app as I have a swing and wanted to connect blue tooth for the music. It takes forever to find the swing and then when you do, it doesn’t allow you to go anywhere unless you enter a nickname for it so you have to enter nickname and once you do, it will not take you off that screen. Then you go to the main screen to get help and it says leave a review or shop 4 moms, you cannot click on leave a review, but you can click on shop 4 moms - that part works. and from reading the other reviews, it looks like I’m not the only one experiencing this. Bad service
Overall the app is straightforward but the execution is abysmal. Due to the 1046’s poor connectivity, I can’t even download firmware updates without losing connection. The same goes for Bluetooth streaming. Due to these flaws, the app is essentially useless
It is not 100% automatic to set up. You actually have to use a couple tricks. Here they are. 1. At the add/name your device screen, enter what you want to call it and hit the save button just once. It will look like nothing happened or that it’s stuck. 2. Press the back button in the top left. If you hit save just once you will see one device. If you see multiple of the same device delete all the except for the first one by pressing and holding on each device. 3. When done, close the app, then re-open the app, and it should open up the home screen. There is no way to go to the home screen from the “ add a device“ screen. It worked for me. And the app works just fine.
Bluetooth did not connect right away but trouble shooting instructions were easy and straight foreword. We have the “multi-motion baby swing model 1037” and it was quite easy to connect. Our baby is a light sleeper so we put her in this and she goes right to sleep. App makes it a lot easier to use the swing but I’m unsure of how the aux works. Outside of that it’s wonderful!
While the app allowed me to pair my 1037 mamaRoo swing with it, it would not let me control to actual settings from the app. I would constantly be navigated away from screens. I would try to click quick on icons before I was redirected to the “Connecting” screen, but I constantly failed. I was sitting right in front of the device when I was setting up the app. I really wish I was able to use the Bluetooth audio feature.
The one thing I looked forward to was trying to play music through the mamaroo speakers. Bluetooth audio streaming DOES NOT work. Other Bluetooth devices work with my phone for music and every other feature of the mamaroo works through Bluetooth. It just will not connect to work as a speaker no matter what I tried. I am severely disappointed considering my mother in law bought this for us for $300. We bought it largely due to that feature. Swing is great. App is not.
It was very easy to set up. If I’m feeling lazy & need to change the settings I can do it from my phone. But I don’t mind standing up either way. The buttons are big on the roo, so I can just press them with my big toe.
Love the swing itself but getting it to connect to the app is near impossible and seems to be a fluke if it does fully set up. We’ve been able to stream Bluetooth music once, for a few minutes, and it hasn’t worked since. The swing does the job as long as you’re okay doing things old school: manually pressing the buttons and playing music on your phone. The app is obsolete.
I learned if you go to settings, Bluetooth there is a second mamaroo5 device you have to connect to. This will allow you to connect for Bluetooth song streaming. I hope this helps.
Like most other users, I had quite a lot of trouble connecting to the Mommaroo through Bluetooth (it would not advance past the Naming screen, and would create duplicate Mommaros every time I clicked “next”). However, I found that if I used the “Find My Roo” function in the menu, the app gave me access to the swing’s functions. Once in, the app works pretty well with the swing.
The app won’t let me go past the screen where you have the option to nickname your mamaroo. It doesn’t matter if I enter a name, or try to skip that section. It’s just gets stuck there, no matter how many times I’ve gone back and attempted to re-pair it. Very upsetting because the app can’t be used
