Sometimes the app won’t let me log in. Sometimes I have to change the password (3 times this year, so far). Sometimes it won’t photograph the check. Earlier this year the system was hacked into, nobody ever returned phone calls, and I couldn’t access my accounts at all. A couple of times I uninstalled and reinstalled the app; previously there was a Refresh button on the page showing my accounts, saying there was an updated view; when I clicked on it, my access got completely screwed up. Today I tried depositing a check and had grey stripes showing on my screen, while the camera suddenly took photos before I had even positioned the check. I called Member Services, was on hold for 20 minutes, then was told to uninstall and reinstall the app. The grey stripes still appeared, but I was able to take pictures of the check. Supposedly the check was deposited, but needs to be “processed.” This app stinks, and I’m thinking I should dump AFCU and use one of the commercial banks, which I hate to do, but the AFCU app is screwed up and unreliable.
It won’t let me complete a deposit. I can’t get past the photo of the front of the check. I have rebooted, I have deleted and re-downloaded. No help. Called for help with the app and all they could tell me was “mail in the check”. Why can’t we re-instate the old app which worked very well until this one is sorted out. It must have been apparent that the new one was a mess before the April 25th deadline. This has been very poorly handled. I expect better service from my credit union. This is not an impersonal bank after all.
Terrible, Terrible and Terrible ! This banking app is beyond subpar. Will not complete deposit. When I called customer service to trouble shoot, the rep denied that there was an issue with the app. I was also told that I was not using a mobile device, although I informed them several times that the deposit was attempted using my iPad as well as my mobile phone ! Unsure what’s going on with ActorsFCU, but I’m starting to lose faith that they’re even running a valid banking institution. Very poor service experience all around.
I’m a bit sad that our performance unions & guilds are limited to this credit union, and its amateur app. I like that it is fairly simple. But, there are always display glitches. Almost annual hackings of AFCU accounts. And old messages at the INBOX feature are not delete-able. Why can’t we delete a message, if it’s no longer relevant? Specifically: I was glad to be able to use this app to report when a restaurant server swiped my AFCU debit card twice, overcharging me. That was over 5 years ago, and there is no “Delete Message” button anywhere in the Messages tab; so my report is still viewable. If you’re an actor, and you’re working enough to afford PNC, Chase, BofA, or CitiBank; do it. This app is sorely lacking.
This app is garbage. I've been trying to make a deposit and it's impossible. The camera takes the picture before you can put it in the right Position Plus it blocks your view with some stupid pop-up window. Then it wouldn't allow me to take a photo of the back of the check because the whole thing freezes up. Don't waste your time or energy with this pathetic excuse for an app. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
After taking a picture of check for mobile deposit often found times you get an error message and then have to retake. Once retaken it says “duplicate deposit”. So it is never actually deposited. I have to go into the branch office and deposit. What’s the point of mobile deposit when it only works half the time.
Please fix this app. It’s still having a problem with check deposits. The option to deposit checks into my business account has disappeared. I’m tired of calling AFCU and waiting on hold for 45 min to 90 min to get problems solved.
Keeps saying doesn’t recognize device even after telling it to remember multiple times. It would be nice if Bill Pay option more closely resembled website.
Took forever to log in, as it kept bouncing me off the page where you select how to authenticate your account. Once I was logged in, it kept bouncing me from page to page and logging me out. Old app is much better.
Simply awful. Constantly not working. Crashes. When depositing checks I get the Spinning wheel of “analyzing” death that goes on forever… until I shut down the app and hope it works later or the next day. Sometimes yes sometimes no. Much better app when it had three functions and bare bones. ARGH
