“It was in this position that the competition resigned the game”
Hello everyone! This is truly an elegant, convenient, and beautifully designed mobile chess clock. I tried this out with my friends at the bar and library, and they too were astounded by this brilliancy of a chess clock. When I found myself in time trouble, I was comforted by the nostalgic clicking of the timer which eased my nerves. Even the Pizza guy came over one day and I showed him this wonderful application while my friend (also known as the Hoodie guy on social media) tipped him generously. Even when I played some good ol’ bullet chess, the “captures captures” that ensued were smooth and, for a second, I felt like the capture-fest could go on all day. In short, this is a fantastic app that I highly recommend, so if you still didn’t pick up on my positive feelings about this until the end, then Sorry About That. I will continue to use this convenient app and expand my vast knowledge for years to come. I hope everyone has a great rest of their day!
I’m liking the interface very much, simple and seems innovative with the expanding player area. Have not play tested for real yet but you gotta have this app if you’re coming from Agadmator’s channel. For dev Ivan and Antonio if you’re reading, a couple of suggestions: 1, Few more click sounds user can chose from, and add to a custom preset will be really nice something you don’t get with other apps 2, I think with this interface there is a good chance players may double tap unintentionally. Cuz as soon as I’m done touch-clicking after my move the same area is clickable for the opponents move. Some food for thought. Thanks for the app! -Random subscriber
It’s a great clock and I’ve had no major issues. I just wish it had a way to add the classical fide variation in where after 40 moves additional time and after 60 a certain time for the rest of the game.
There is no way to delete a custom clock you created that has an error. This is very bad. The standard presets also lack several of the standard classical time formats. Add this and the app rises to 4 stars. Add the ability to customize sounds and add screen flashing and it would become 5 stars.
This app has a clean easy interface. I can’t use it in matches because the “delay” does not show a countdown. There is no visual sign that the delay is running. It should visibly count down and not run invisibly in the background.
And from this position…captures, captures. Great app from a great chess content creator. The app works exactly as it should. Simple. Easy to setup. Best of all free. No advertisements. Definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a free chess clock.
Simple and satisfying. I love how the screen is bigger for whoever’s time is running . Better than the other chess clock I had on my phone, thanks agad! Big fan of your channel as well !
After toying around with the clock for a day with a friend and testing its limitations, I have decided it is among the best clock ok the app store. However I did notice a few flaws: 1. The response time of the clock is slow. It takes roughly half a second after a tap before you can tap it again, which cost me a round or two against my friend in one minute bullet chess. I would recommend quickening the pace of the turn switching animation to permit faster response times. 2. Both white and black can tap the same area to hit their clock, which could lead some inexperienced players to possibly double tap the clock by mistake (I suppose that is the reason for the delayed response time?). To fix this, I would recommend increasing the area of the clock that only white can hit, and the area of the clock only black can hit, which would also allow you to finish the animation sooner without speeding it up, helping with issue 1. 3. There is no customizability in the sound effects, which would be a unique feature not seen on most chess clocks. Personally I enjoy that your app took armageddon time controls into account, and even allows for some highly wacky time controls such as 1 second + 1 second increment. Most clocks do not allow for such outrageous things. Also, good job ensuring that volume actually works, some chess clocks fail to do that. EDIT: 4. I forgot to mention that a move counter and a time control option after you reach X amount of moves would really make this the most versatile clock on the market.
Simple, easy to use, and smart. Love the custom time section and the clock in general. Did a great job with this app. Also, if you enjoy chess, check out agadmator’s chess channel on YouTube. He does an amazing job.
Agadmator Chess Clock is a beautiful, lightweight chess clock app. It enables you to play with your own custom time controls or to pick from one of the presets. It comes with a clean and intuitive UI. The app is provided by the Agadmator YouTube channel.
