Gives you another way to get info without scanner, would be nice if you could just access repair info on the go, and designed for a phone not saying it’s bad just stop being so stingy with the information , make it where only validated employees with some sort of can enter
This was the worst scan tool I’ve ever touched. This is only good for nothing really. I brought it with a 12 month agreement before you get the product and was told it air bleeds electric cars and test catalytic convertor air flow. Didn’t do either one and also could connect it on the go so this needs internet 24/7 it’s not a plug and play like 99 % of scan tools you’re able to plug it in and scan a car anywhere in the USA and get codes available. Not this one. This is a terrible system do not buy it. For this price just get a snap on tool.
Any shop who has an active subscription to all data is going to have dedicated scanner. No customer wants to see a technician sitting in their car on their phone to retrieve codes. Neither does a shop owner want a technician using personal smartphone every time a scanner is necessary. No one who pays for all data is asking for a way to scan vehicles with alldata. We want an app or at very least a mobile friendly website. Why in the world would you try to enter the market of scan tools where the competition are brands like Snap On and Altel? If you were to make an app where someone can read wire pinouts without having to print every time you would be literally changing the industry.
I tried to download this for my phone to use at work. When trying to work on a vehicle, and not knowing much about it, finding things is easier using Alldata on the office desktop. However, having to go from one end of a building to the other while you’re extremely busy working on multiple cars, just to get alldata info that you COULD have on your phone and at your fingertips in less than a minute is a waste of time. Yet this app doesn’t work like the desktop version. You can’t just look up info, you’re required to have an OBDII connection. Garbage!
Really i was hoping for a Manage Online Checkin app, an easy way to check in vehicles, record tags, milage and write up initial issues found- that would be useful, then the basis of the RO is started before i hit the desk. I understand full blown access would require an additional user, but basic customer check in would be nice. Next the AllData access in the car would be fine too, which I guess is what this is supposed to be?? But I already spend enough for Manage, then just buy DIY data for each car as needed.
I’m an auto tech and shop owner and use Alldata daily for work on my ipad. This latest update is a total mess. The back/previous screen button in landscape mode is gone. I go to the help menu to try and send a report and none of those menu buttons are working. Start clicking on other menu buttons like Convert or Reference Repair and they don’t work either. What a mess. Might be minor annoyance for the casual weekend mechanic but this is really messing up my shop. Will not be renewing my subscription when my annual contract is up
This app has no service or repair information and apparently connects to a scan tool. Why in the world would you have an app that doesn’t contain your huge library of vehicle diagnostic, service, specification and repair data? I wanted to access my vehicle repair and information on my phone…..not a groundbreaking idea in 2022. But this app doesn’t do that. I don’t even know what this app does. I wonder if Alldata has ever asked a customer what they’re interested in? Or maybe even more than one customer?
If you understand that the auto industry requires massive amounts of data to work on todays modern vehicles, you subscribe to at least one information system. The app does a great job of supporting AllData. If you want free repair manuals this is the the wrong place for DIY.
The app description says you get access to alldata report. I have an active alldata subscription for my car. Their website is broken on Safari, I didn’t try any other browsers, and I thought I would be able to access it from the app. They don’t give you access to your repair data subscriptions in the app. Thank you for wasting my time alldata.
I use the browser to launch Alldata and I have more success with it but I just got don’t like how the browser version you can scroll around swipe properly it’s kinda glitchy and not smooth, I love Alldata and all it provides but I think they’re app interface should be the same as the website just less buggy. The future is online
Company does not care about its customers at all. Only cares about how they can continue to increase pricing and charge for every little thing. MUCH better options in the market today. NOBODY should be paying the ridiculous ALLDATA monthly fee. Especially when OEM repair data is available much cheaper. Company on the brink of failure.
Downloaded thinking it’d give me access to the data I’ve subscribed to in a more mobile friendly format. Instead it doesn’t seem to have any data and is just a weird attempt at a scan tool app. Not helpful at all. Come on alldata, it’s 2023, get an app that lets me access the info I’m paying for.
I guess if you can’t make your website mobile friendly, your mobile app should be just as useless. I simply need an app to access AllData information since they can’t seem to be bothered to make their website mobile friendly. That’s it. The app is basically empty. You cannot access vehicle information.
I just downloaded this app and tried to login with a known good login. I type it in and hit login and it will bring up the terms and conditions and then crash and go back to the log in screen. Tried multiple times. Uninstalled and reinstalled and still doing it. Please fix!
This app is created for when you have a mobile subscription to the diagnostic enhancement tool. Will not work if you do not have a subscription to the mobile diagnostics tool. This tool is great! Just imagine a scan tool that offers the OEM repair procedures right after clicking on the diagnostic code.
Downloaded the app to use in the shop away from a computer, after logging in I couldn’t find anywhere to access repair data. I’ve never downloaded and deleted an app so fast.
Please fix. Really find you guys useful and would love an app to make it easier then my web browser. We pay for it so use that to make the best app out there
I literally just subscribed believing AllData would have an App with access. Half right . . . they have an App. Absolute worthless junk! What’s the point of this do nothing App? Severely disappointed. Wow
Tried to use vin reader on a 2015 ford, software didn’t recognize the car. To top it off I am not able to enter in vehicle info to do search. In short, don’t waste your time
Cannot log in or access AllData repair, The app could be great if it worked on our phones while in the car to make it’s easier to look up vehicle information, parts and labor, diagrams and all the all data repair information that’s available on a computer. Currently we can’t use it. Thanks you
This is not ALLDATA. You cannot access your subscription using this app. It seems ALLDATA was trying to make a scan tool, which is not what I need. Very disappointed.
Currently this app is out of date by 4+ months. I constantly keep tying to sign in and when I get taken to the term and agreements the app takes me back to my sign in.
What’s the point of this app besides stealing data?
I have a subscription to all data. I want to have my manuals available so I can check things like torque specs quickly. All it does is log me into a blank page. Worthless. There are some shill reviews talking about it being great and only for paid subscribers. Bro. I am one. It doesn’t work. Go write more code on the app instead of trying to save it by phony reviews.
Aamco22760 is right on the money with his review. Why can’t we have a mobile friendly site/app. The website access via smart phone does not allow me to use a lot of features and is constantly giving me a pop-up window request every time I touch the screen inside the website. This is ridiculous. I’m an iPhone user btw.
