You better love my bank-lol. I’ve never had A problem with losing money. I accidentally had my card charged out of “way out of state” -hmmm, without my permission; i thought. First Federal Fraud Protection left a message, to call right away. i did to find that they had caught a “mischarged” large amount i didn’t approve. The teller verified it wasn’t mine. And, before i lost any money- it was taken care of. thank you just for that. Please, INVEST!!!!!!!!!
I’ve had this App since it first came out and have been banking here for many years. I recently called customer service and told them and the agent just said it “never breaks for him” and “always works”. I called about MY experience and it’s not working again like always. It took me months to have them remove charges for a service I didn’t use but was charged for repeatedly. I’ve had deposited funds withheld but no one contacted me, I had to investigate and call them repeatedly. I’ve also never gotten notifications with fraud protection services or anything similar. Not satisfied whatsoever with this bank, very disappointing.
I love this bank because it’s good for all people from any social class. They never charge you if you have an amount of $1000 or under in your checking account. the staff is always welcoming and kind, they never hesitate to help and give information. I recommend this bank to everyone especially brand new people who have no idea what’s going on and how the system works.
My app keeps telling me to get the newest version and update the app but every time I click the button it takes me to my App Store (this app specifically) & it just says (open). Like there’s no way or option for me to update the app and now I don’t have access to my baking info through the app. What can I do?
I’ve had my American First credit union account for seven years now since I got my first vehicle. I have now paid off my vehicle and have my first personal loan and I plan to pay that off on time and I also have a credit card from American First they give the best rates amazing rates. Just got a car loan with AFCU, and as I’m setting up my online banking info to prepare autopay options using my current bank, I discover that online only gives the option to make my car loan pmts with a bank account with AFCU. Ummmm, I don’t want to bank with you (not like that), thank you very much…but I do want to make my car pmts on time using my bank that I bank with. 🤦🏽♀️ Great, another financial institution forcing us to jump through hoops to utilize part of their service. 🙄
I have been banking with American First for over 28 years and love them! I live five hours away and have only visited the inside of a branch twice. They have met all of my needs and concerns that have come up efficiently. The mobile ap has helped me do a lot of banking as well! Kudos American First!
I believe this application has a defect which stats “connectivity issues” and fails to open. I have deleted and uploaded the ap two times the last couple of days. The error message still appears. I do not have this issue on my laptop ( the connection is identical to that on my iPhone). Hopefully this can be fixed as I use the phone ap often. Thank you.

I love the app it’s all good and all but apparently my Zelle doesn’t work and I can’t sign up for automatic payments for some strange reason but besides the point it’s a good bank to bank at
I re installed the app and it’s still telling me unable to validate credentials it worked fine yesterday it let me login but not today.. don’t know why it keeps doing this
I have the mobile app but I can’t seem to enroll. It keeps saying Failed To Enroll User. So to check my account activity I just log in through SaveBetter over the web. Please fix
Hopefully someone sees this but it’s saying there’s an update on the app. Go to the App Store and there isn’t an update. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Please fix soon.
You upgrade to an OS that everyone does not have. They don’t have an OS for my iPhone 6 Plus that will work with your app. So now I can’t use your app. Why don’t the developers consider that before they update. Oh they probably don’t care.
First time user I hadn’t set up any information prior and it won’t get past the set up password portion it goes to a message that says failed to set up user and that’s it. Waste of my time
Not as basic and simple as the old app but much better and easy enough to get the hang of quickly. Mobile deposit is way better and easier and definitely like that now you get the record of it and status through the the app. I think it's now more convenient for a mobile app and being able to do more and not need to go to the web site on my phone to do things verse with old app.
I gave the app two stars because it does basic banking (money transfers, bill pay, and viewing your transactions) well. I did not give it more stars because the app does nothing to move forward and take advantage of many features other apps have had for months. I was excited when I heard American First was coming out with a new app. Finally I thought, TouchID. Nope. They have still not embraced the most convenient and current apple technology. All of my other banking apps have this feature integrated in and this app is still missing it. Also with the update it takes even longer to log in and once you are logged in there are way too many steps/pages to get to what you are looking for. The contact us feature has also been removed. Support for the iPad is also still lacking. Get your mobile experience on par with the rest American First! It's unrelated but I a still waiting for American First to take part in Venmo (what is Pop Money and who uses it. Invest your money and time on something millions of people already use that works wonderfully) and Apple Pay though I won't hold my breath. I have been a member of this credit union for 25 years and if they do t get with the times I am going to find a bank that does.
Thanks for upgrading the app. I used to have to log out and log back in to see my other account now I can not only transfer from one account to another bug I can also see all of my other accounts. I also love the POP money function where I can transfer money to my friends and family easily.
Logging into the account is a pain with this app as well as on my PC's. Every few days it asks for validation info. If you type it incorrectly, it locks you out & you have to call them to unlock it. Why do I have to verify my info if I'm using the same phone/computer and I have inputted correct ID & PW? Smh.
After much hype from the CU I anticipated something big what it was, a big step backwards in both the mobile app and online. The entire user interface of this new app is overly simplistic and too many clicks. The functionality is clunky, and login page has had issues with me logging back in ( not the security questions). I had really hope the CU would have used TouchID as an option but alas no. This app must have won out by cost savings because from my perspective it has no improvements to offer only embarrassment on the CU.
The app is a huge improvement over the previous one. I now have access to all accounts with the new app. This saves me time of having to use the computer to get info on other accounts. I haven't had any issues with the new app. They should have updated it along time ago!
I think it's terrible that the bank forced us to change from an app that works well to a new app that works for a minute before it locks me out. Too much time wasted at bank trying to resolve and still locked out.(Already visited both La Habra and Buena Park trying to resolve) On line banking is no longer available to me. I can't believe It was simpler to buy stamps at post office than trying to log in. American first FAILED launching this. From the initial log on I didn't like that it no longer has pending transactions in checking. Highly disappointed !
Finally someone realized that the old app was horrible! The old app had so many errors & it was almost impossible to get the picture of the checks done. Deposits work great in the new app and now I can see the pictures I already deposited. Thank you!
I found it very easy to use after I used it a little and got used to some of the changes. Since this new app came out I've gotten updates that made it better. I can now transfer to my friends and other accounts.
Works way faster than the last version. It takes less clicks to get stuff done and is more intuitive. My iPhone automatically updated the app with no problems.
The previous version was much better. To confirm my user ID on this new app it keeps asking questions I don't even have answers to. It's so frustrating I can't even see my account from my phone.
The new app has caused so many problems. It glitches when transferring money between accounts and caused it to be transferred incorrectly and I was charged a NSF because of it. It is extremely slow and the design is very out-dated. Before I could see which checks went through and details of transactions but with the new app I cannot. I wish they would go back to the original app because it was significantly better.
This app needs to be available for iPad / Tablet users. I use my iPad to make deposits remotely because I don't live near a credit union. This is frustrating not being able to download it onto my iPad! He decision makers either didn't think about the end users or they just didn't care!!
