I do not like the new app in any manner. Cannot see all my accounts. Get error messages constantly. Can’t update anything because when I get error messages the app locks up. I have to erase the app, wait about two hours and then reinstall the app only to have it lock up again every time. Also face recognition will not let me set it up and I can’t find any way to get back to just touch screen. I would like to know if the bank is going to cover my overdrafts since I can’t get into my account to transfer money etc. I am handicapped and cannot drive so I depend solely on online banking. I would appreciate a reply from someone. And yes I have been talking to people at the bank for over a month now. Apparently the IT department did not do enough testing before releasing the new version. And before you ask what I know about program testing, my husband has been a programmer for over 30 years.
Really enjoy the app EXCEPT I’m unable to use the bill pay feature on my iPad. Works perfectly on my I phone. I called support on this several weeks ago and really got no support. Error message is that “Cookies are Blocked” but I’ve gone thru all settings and they are not. On the APCO CU Facebook I found another user with the same issue. He had not been able to resolve either. Everything worked fine on the old app. Also works if I use a web browser to log in. Just not as convenient.
Apco gave me a chance when it came to my truck loan. 2011 I declared bankrupt ( I lost my job) . I paid my loan off on time. So I opened up 3 accounts. They are honest and fair. They care about the customers. The people are friendly and outgoing they give you all the information to help make choices about accounts. I was taken advantage from orders in the internet companies and they guided me in what to do. I believe this is the best bank to have accounts and they are FDIC.
This update is a confusing mess of unhelpful menu arrangements, clickable items that aren’t obvious, and broken functionality. I’m no longer able to view all of my linked accounts and see balances. Why would an app update break that, since that data should be retained on the credit union side? I can move money to an “unlinked” account, but what caused it to unlink in the first place? And I can’t see the balances of unlinked accounts and there is apparently no way to link them back again. The transaction list is a hot mess of formatting with nothing lining up and a mess of font sizes. If this disaster of an app is the best that the credit union can do, then I will happily move my money elsewhere. APCO CU should be embarrassed to have released this nonsense.
Loving this new feature that saves me a lot of time by not having to drive 30 minutes one way to make a deposit. Really, this is so easy to use. Just select the acct for the deposit, take a pic of the front and then the back, then clic “Deposit”. It’s that simple.
In the Old app I could see all my accounts at one time. Now I have to log in to and out of each account. I can’t get Face ID to work so it is even more tedious. I spent over 2 hrs on the phone with 5 different technicians (on hold more than I spoke with a person) to fix the problems and still no go. The app role out by APCO leaves a lot to be desired. These issues should have been addressed before forcing everyone to upgrade (not and upgrade if it doesn’t work as well the previous version). Gave one star because it wouldn’t let me give no stars.
The app has almost always worked perfectly for what I needed. The very few times that it has not, customer service has always gotten the issue resolved quickly.
Since the maintenance update the app has been very difficult to use. It wouldn’t let me in until I went thru the web. Then I was asked to change my password. Now it won’t let me enter the amount of the check I am trying to deposit. This app went from my favorite tech thing to very frustrating.
Their recent update to the website and app caused me to change a password that was set up by my late wife. One of the last things I had that was a constant reminder of someone so important to me. Does APCO care. Nope!
For the majority of the time the app works. I’ve never logged out of it on my phone, but sometimes my Face ID doesn’t work or I’m randomly logged out. It’s frustrating when my password is written down at home and I can’t log back in when I’m not at home!
When I try to set up Touch ID, I get a message stating that I’ve requested a page that I don’t have permission to access. ? Not really happy with having to go to linked accounts to see balances on second account. This was a step backward. I know this will all get fixed but you think the programmers would have Beta tested this before release. Very sloppy work.
The new app is the worst banking app I’ve ever used. I get an error message when trying to log in on most occasions. It’s easier to login via the website!
Can’t rate because still can’t access, spent hours trying to on then trying unsuccessfully get help from number provided and my request for assistance with problem were not returned, so I drove to local APCO office, where every employee was engaged in trying to help customers having problems like me get access! Obvious system or implementation were not well planned or implemented!
I enjoy using this app , it isn’t the best but I like the credit union and the people who work there so I’m grateful to use them for my credit union , thank you
I’m not sure who gave this update the green light, but let’s hope the bug fixes start coming in hot. I’m not by any means a developer and I do not claim to understand how the process works, however, I am aware enough to know this was released prematurely and seems downright lazy.
Functions like face login and instant balance don’t work which really slows things down. Not too big of a problem because it’s just convenient, but it would be nice to have them.
The app crashes at least once when I use it. FaceID only works half of the time and the new mobile deposit crashed three times before I was able to successfully deposit my check. Love APCO bank and employees, but they lack the newest and easier tech via online and apps that other banks provide.
I used to login once to manage all my accounts and transfer money between them as needed. That was awesome! This new app doesn’t have that capability forcing me to log into my accounts on a computer, which is often highly inconvenient.
Every time I enter the correct password it takes me to the forgot password page and when I enter in the information it ask for it says it can validate the info, so I can not login to any of my accounts, fix this !!!!!!
Transferring from Powerco to APCO has been a nightmare. 25 min waiting for cust svc to answer phone. Could not register acct even with assistance. Cust svc rep was spelling name wrong. Now - None of my other accounts are linked to new APCO account. None of my bill pay accounts are set up. Worst transition ever!
I’ve used the APCO app for many years, but it recently stopped working when I changed to a new iPhone15. The app keeps saying the phone is jailbroken or rooted, but I purchased the phone new directly from Apple.
The app would be better if you could transfer money from other accounts and not just 1 account. I have 3 separate accounts at APCO and I need to transfer from one to another without having to get on the desktop computer. Not sure what happened with the new app. But the old app you could transfer to your other accounts
I'm happy to see that APCO CU has finally developed a mobile app. It's a great start and is wonderful for basic banking, but there is room for improvement. I was excited to deposit my paycheck remotely, since my employer still provides paper checks rather than direct deposit...but it gave me an error that the amount was too large. I cannot find info anywhere as to what the limit is. I've also had the app unexpectedly shut down a few times. Great start...hopefully APCO CU will work out the kinks.
It would be nice to get notifications when you significant changes to you accounts. I.e., a notification/ confirmations when deposits greater than $100 are received. Notifications when the account is overdrawn, etc.
I was grateful to see that they made bill paying available again without having to go off app. Unfortunately, the Check Deposit feature is limited to $1000 max, so basically it is useless, since I get paid once every two weeks.
The NEW version of APCO Employees Credit Union’s mobile app gives you all the features of online banking with your mobile device, with a new user interface, login enhancements, and security updates.
