I think that when money is transferred from one account to another (ex. checking to savings) that it says more then just withdrawal or deposit..it should say below the transaction what account it is going to or from besides it giving you just the last 4 digits of the account it was transferred to or from! Also, the App. has not been allowing me to view my checks once they are posted, and this has been going on for months now!
I had money taken out of my account from companies I did not do business with. I filed a dispute with Arbor and within a few days, the money was back in my account. Thank you to Chloe/Khloe (sp?) for helping me and being super friendly when I walked in the door. Excellent customer service and I appreciate all the Staff at Arbor! Thank you!!
This app is constantly down and accounts are unavailable to verify. Sometimes I will check my balance and it will say one thing and then 5 minutes later it says something else and the. Teeters between the two amounts. I tried setting up Apple Pay and it wouldn’t let me attach my card. I called customer service to get help and they said it wasn’t a feature available. A couple of months later I was talking to a branch manager about several unsatisfactory experiences and he told me he has always used Apple Pay with them! I’m looking for a new credit union that is in the year 2022 with technology.
Living out of town and being able to attend to all my banking affairs from depositing a check to setting up scheduled bill payments is simple and easy. A wonderfully intuitive application that eases the processes of banking that is stable and secure.
I’ve been having the. WORST. time with arbor. Especially with this app. There is a loading screen in between every single button you push and it takes FOREVER. Good luck if you need a fast transfer in a pinch. Good luck waiting for it to even let you login. And good luck with the waiting screens even when you have perfect service. Can’t say how many times the app is down ALL. THE. TIME. and it’ll be mid day. Not even at night. Horrible when I need to access my money and the app is down and I can’t get to it when I’m at the store?!?!?
So many tech issues with this app. Every single time I try to log in, it asks me to receive a text or call to verify my identity. The worst part is, the texts stopped coming even though it has worked in the past. It doesn’t save my Face ID so I have to type out my password every time. The keyboards aren’t uniform throughout the app (when I transfer an amount, the number keyboard shows and then I make another transfer, it shows the alphabet keyboard)
I’ve been using Arbor for years now and I’ve never had a problem with them! Their app is very straightforward, their staff is incredibly helpful and they are very quick to take care of fraudulent charges! Five big stars!

Horribly designed app. Will be looking for a new bank due to all the issues this app has. It constantly is signing me out for inactivity while I’m in the middle of transferring money or doing anything on the app. It’s constantly down for updates and yet every time they’re done it’s worse than before. I’ve been with this bank since they were ECCU and it’s been nothing but issues. Do not recommend. Kalsee’s app is much nicer and user friendly.
Their mobile check deposits have to be manually approved—so dont expect anything at night, over the weekend, instantly, on holidays, or busy banking days. App has barely just enough features to be called a banking app. Chase has had instant mobile deposits by phone OR atm for at least 3-4 years—maybe longer. Entry-level OCR technology today is well capable of this “feat.”
They must have hired an extremely unqualified firm for this recent upgrade. I have been on the phone with 3 different customer service reps And the third one finally told me I won’t be able to use the mobile app to make deposits anymore. They can’t figure out why it logs me out of the app every time I try to make a deposit. It might be time to move this account elsewhere. Extremely disappointed.
Gave from Grand Rapids was very sympathetic to my situation and went out of his way, including bringing his own acct up on his phone, to help me step by step. I love your service.
Without a doubt the slowest, most lagged out app I have. Makes me want to delete the app entirely which is extremely inconvenient but at this point wouldn’t be any more inconvenient than having to restart the app 7 times or wait 10 minutes for my information to load.
This App is Hands down the absolute worst. The fact that I have to Submit so many different types of verification to access my account is just unnecessary. Go back to the Normal layout you had before this update because this version is confusing and just frustrating. I’m going to pay off my loan and move on to another company because this was the final straw.
Does not provide very detailed reports, designed perfectly to disguise any fees they may assess. I generally end up frustrated when I try to do detailed accounting. Just recently noticed about half the screen has transitioned to advertisements. Super helpful when I’m when I want to go over my monthly spending line by line.
I really like banking with Arbor, but their after hours service is horrible. Their online banking down time is just incredibly inconvenient. There’s no reason I should have to deal with this three times a week.
New app has more “functions”, when they load. Every other financial institution seems to have figured out how to make ran app that’s more than just a wrapper for the full desktop website.
This app is practically useless. Can’t go back in accounts more than one month. No search option! Very frustrating especially when you depend on managing accounts and paying bills online. The old app was MUCH more user friendly.
This app is good for basic operations like checking balances and transfers. Although there is never a Confirmation # for transfers, the field is blank. I notified the credit union about this months ago, the problem still is not resolved. If your device goes to sleep, even for a second, you have to log back in. There is no Fingerprint ID. I have tried multiple times with multiple checks to make deposits and they always fail. Tellers at the branch cannot tell me why my deposits always fail, just that "there has been a lot of fraud lately, maybe they just stopped accepting mobile deposits." Maybe?
UPDATE 5/6/19: so they’ve redone the account alerts… and they don’t work. At all. I’ve had several instances where my accounts dipped below the dollar amount to trigger alerts and… nothing. Sometimes you’ll get alerts if you open the app and refresh everything, but that seems to defeat the whole purpose of having alerts. Frequently fails to log in, slow, crashy, still irritating but now doubly so. Barely functional as a banking app. Slow to update, slow to log in, sometimes freezes and requires force quit and restart. Half the time credit card balances are inaccurate. But the biggest problem by far is lack of TouchID. It's 2017… implement TouchID NOW.
I have been using this app to check my online banking for awhile now. Since the latest update, about a month ago, I’ve been unable to login at all. It either freezes or gives me a message that the app is experiencing intermittent connection issues. The other complaint I’ve had is that for awhile now the app would never allow me to view my account information unless I was using WiFi. If I was in a place where I wasn’t sure if the WiFi was secure, I wouldn’t want to connect to it just to view my account information. Once these issues are fixed I’m sure my rating would go up.
I love being able to do my banking from my phone but since you updated the app I am struggling with it. The Touch ID was set up and worked great in the old version but won’t work at all since he update. As soon as I try to use it, it automatically closes the app. Also, the layout and visuals of the new version is not as user friendly and harder to see. 🙁
I have been with Eccu for over 10 years now. I have been doing online banking for about 8 of those years. Their first app was very helpful to determine my balances and transfer between different shares. This new release has been nothing but a problem. I am considering transferring to a different bank. The app is not reliable and almost never works. Lately I can't even get to a screen for my password. The app has a lot of features but what good are they if they don't work? Terrible app. Terrible decision by eccu.
I hate this app it’s good to see just balances but hate the fact it doesn’t show purchases and amounts on all accounts in that regard this app really isn’t working for me... I like to see my purchases and balances at all times !!!
My husband and I have been banking with Arbor for over 15 years. There is no other banking choice for us! Best service, best people! Our banking family!
Was really excited about being to deposit checks via mobile app, but it leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the time it doesn't work. I go all the way through the process and then it tells me I cannot make a deposit at this time, try making a new deposit. Frustrating to say the least.
Can you please add fingerprint reader support for login. My other financial accounts offer this feature. It would make using the app quicker and more efficient. Thank you!

Their web site say it has snapshot check cashing but it doesn't transfers and balance inquiries are about all this app is good for. The transfers are only from checking to savings and vis versa, no transfers are allowed outside of your own accounts so if you want to transfer money say to your wife's account in the same bank nope not allowed smh
Would give it 4 stars instead of 2 if it actually let you adjust mortgage payments, neither the app nor online does this and its totally completely annoying!! Running to bank in person to adjust payments is Soooo 1980! Every other account we have allows online adjustment!
