Our bank has done a wonderful job finding out what the customer needs and providing that on the mobile app. They are always looking for ideas to improve the app and provide better service. I have never felt like this app was lacking and the updates make things that much easier. With the app, and also the text service, I always feel safe and informed of what is going on with my accounts. Thank you Ascentra, job well done.
My biggest complaint about this app/service is that the balances don’t automatically adjust to the new balance after u do a transfer or pay you’re credit card. It’s very frustrating and inconvenient. Doesn’t leave me with the satisfaction that I actually paid anything. The second complaint which also ties into the first is the spending pie chart . My husband thought this was a great tool but he felt financially stressed for a while about how much money we were spending. Until one day I was looking at mine and noticed it was calculating double charges which initially had us scared we were getting double charges all over the place and things we didn’t remember buying. I have a daughter in College attached to my profile but in a separate account and her charges were showing up in this pie graft as well as double charges in my personal credit card. It’s very confusing inaccurate and doesn’t help at all once again it doesn’t auto adjust correctly to reflect the real amount spent 🙄
With a sleek new user interface and an abundance of new useful feature, Ascentra has really knocked it out of the park with this much needed update. I personally found the spending pies and the new transactions view to be particularly great. Not only did they improve on the previous app but they took this opportunity to really implement some great features!
The interface for both the app and the website need a desperate facelift. From the interface to the features it is simply not up with the times. I would swear it was from the early 2000’s. And I was born in 93’ so I would know. The lack of features is insanity. One feature that is frustrating me the most is the lack of immediate pending transactions and not being able to add pending transactions. If I know I have a several subscriptions/bills etc that get withdrawn on the same date every month (or any upcoming transaction), (like my old bank) I should be able to add a pending transaction so that it’s easier to keep track of remaining funds. My old bank allowed you to add a one time pending transactions and every reoccurring ones. So that at all times you could see what your “real” balance is. Only reason I am going to keep this account open is because a branch is 2 mins from me. Other than that I would close this asap and go elsewhere. It’s freakin 2023. Like be for real Ascentra. This app in comparisons to all the others… hot flaming garbage
It takes multiple days for purchases and mobile funds transfers to go through, which is not an issue with other competing credit unions. Itemized pending transactions are also not able to be viewed, which other credit unions offer. Additionally, the app makes it confusing to pay a credit card bill. Instead of selecting “pay my bill”, you have to “transfer funds” from one account to another. Overall, inconvenient.
It works well and has most functions i would need from my bank accounts. I really like the budget/financial tools but am really disappointed that it doesn’t like to the credit card as well. It used to but that function stopped after a few months of use. Other than that, it meets most of my needs.
Easy to use and navigate, bright and clean layout, icon are easy to use, has contact and help info alot of functions. This app is great! I use it everyday to the point that i dont need to visit the bank too often and bother them 😂 i love this app. Haven't had any problems or issues with it.
Could be improved greatly if the credit card information was more accurate on payments and transactions. Also if we could see up to date transactions on this app instead of going to another page from the internet. It’s too time consuming to go to different places for the information that used to be displayed in the app before the updates.
I have been using Ascentra Credit Union for 26 years. The name was different but they maintained the same quality customer service. I was excited to learned they had a shared credit Union where I moved to so I can still do my business through Ascentra. They are awesome.
I love the new modern app! I can link all of my accounts and credit cards within this app, which saves me so much time! And the Financial Management tool lets me see exactly where my money goes! And I LOVE SavvyMoney! I can see my credit score and full credit bureau! Nice job Ascentra CU!! Thanks for the upgrade!
I feel like it needs to give you the option to know your cc amount due somewhere most credit card apps I use show you your balance due an minimum payments
Ascentra’s app is user friendly, at least for me it is easy to navigate my accounts , to make transactions , to check transactions past and present. Never had any problems with it .
I love the app! It’s great to be able to go in and move funds around or just check your balances. The tools are also a big help. The app is friendly and easy to use.
This app is easy to use and didn’t take me much time to figure out. I do miss the ability to do a quick check of my account balances without logging in.
Nice and simple. Two things I would like: (1) Ability to login with 2-factor authentication using a text message instead of having to choose between phone call or email. (2) Ability to see account history between July 2022 and the present (it has been a year since this problem started)
This app is so easy to use! I have linked all my credit cards, even from other banks so I can see everything in one place. It makes paying bills on payday so much easier.
Like that I can see my accounts (checking, savings and loan) on one screen. Transfers from account to account are easy to do. Mobile deposits are a breeze.
Gets the job done with digital banking. Take a picture of the check and it’s deposited! Very convenient for our small business. I’m a long time customer of Ascentra Bank.
I really dislike how hard it is to get into my account with this new app. I tell it to “save my info” and to “register this device” but it never sticks. Also, I loved that the previous app had an “instant balance” option. This one does not.
This is super handy to look at my bank account quickly. Sometimes the app doesn’t work or load which can be irritating but generally it is a helpful tool.
Every other time I try to login to this app it loses its mind. The Touch ID is disabled and makes me go through setting up login credentials having me wait for the email instructions and changing my password over and over and over. This is the worst app I use bar none.
Was hard for an old timer who won’t fuss with computers but it didn’t take long for this to become a much used tool. I never thought I would say that about anything digital. Signed: A horses analog!
I updated it it’s nice but it keeps telling me I have to update and I have to reset everything every time I open it. It’s not keeping my information on it I have to do it every time I get on it it’s really starting to be irritating other than that it’s good
In the last few months password doesn’t always work. Very frustrating,thinking of switching banks. It too bad been with Ascentra since the beginning of Alcoa Credit Union. And the drive up ATM at the Grant Street location is never working, Terrible,Terrible service.
